“Looking to get an edge in Metal Wolf Chaos XD? Look no further! In this guide, we’ll provide a Cheat Engine table and tips on how to use it effectively. Get ready to conquer the game like a pro!”
The Table and its Contents…
Note: If you use Cheat Engine version 7.4 or less, you should probably rename this file to wilson.CT , but for some reason since version 7.5 it hasn’t displayed the same name when connected to processes and doesn’t tend to auto-connect any more, so it doesn’t matter what it is called.
And here is where you get Cheat Engine if you don’t already have it.[www.cheatengine.org]
Anyway… there isn’t all that much to say about the table.
I originally looked for a table on Fearless Revolution but none of the ones there worked for the current Steam version of the game, so I had to figure it out on my own. I kinda ended up using some of the same naming conventions though…. so apologies for that.
These are things worth noting:
Money & Rare Metal: They’re used for researching and manufacturing weapons. Make the numbers big, get lots of resources to work with. Simplest thing on the table.
Health : There are 4 separate addresses for Health…. or Shield Units if you prefer. One or two of them are probably Max Health while the others are Current Health, but I didn’t care enough to check in detail. I recommend locking all of them with a high value at least equal to your max shield power in-game if you want to be invincible. Or just do that thing where you lock it then click next to the box to get the green up arrow (meaning the value can get bigger but not smaller).
Boost: Mostly for dashing. Also air-dashing, flying, etc. Lock the value with an up arrow ideally. Note: with this active, you can dash or air-dash as long as you hold the button to travel horizontally a theoretically infinite distance… BUT you can’t ascend to a higher level unless you start on ground level. Holding down dash while standing still will enable you to fly straight upwards. Dashing along the ground, then releasing and immediately re-pressing the dash key / button will allow you to dash diagonally upwards. All stages have height limits, though the exact limit varies.
Special: Values 1 and 2 given. Like with health I believe it was meant to be current and maximum, but I never bothered to check. Lock both the values with an up arrow to allow you to use the Blaze attack whenever you want.
Total Ammo / Clip Ammo: I’ve added these separately for each gun, and the meaning should be self-evident. Locking the Total Ammo values will give you infinite ammo for the guns you have locked, but you’ll still reload when the clip runs out. Locking the Clip Ammo values will give you infinite ammo without needing to reload. Note: I personally tended to lock the Total Ammo values around 3000 and the Clip Ammo at around 10 for every weapon, regardless of type. It doesn’t hurt to go above the natural maximums.
Combo Multiplier: It is your combo-count, and it multiplies up your score. The value shown on-screen display-caps at 999, but it can continue increasing up to the rather odd value of 1024… THAT SAID, you can manually change the value up to utterly silly stuff like 9999 and it will still multiply all of your scores.
Score Factors: I separated these from the rest because they only really influence how the game scores your performance. That wouldn’t make much difference except some weapons are unlocked by getting cumulative scores over a total amount…
— Damage Taken will lower your score the higher it gets. Lock it to 0 for best results.
— Timer is weird…. It doesn’t seem to correspond to seconds or anything. Still, lock it to 0 for best results.
— Ammo Consumed you’ll notice I only added 1,2,3 and 6 for… The numbers are due to the spacing of the addresses. Ammo Consumed 1 works for the MG200/EN Assault Rifles I used for most of the game (and would recommend to anyone else). The other ones were for weapons I personally used. They won’t work for every weapon, but I guess you’ll have to figure that out on your own. The other addresses for other weapons are probably very close to these ones.
— Shots on Target and Shots Fired are how the game measures Accuracy. You can get Accuracy scores over 100% by making Shots on Target higher than Shots Fired. I tend to lock them at 2 and 1 respectively because some levels do strange things with shot accuracy if you make them equal.
— Missiles Intercepted should be self-evident. The number of missiles you shot down. Just change it to whatever you want during a stage.
— GUN SLDR Kills is a simple way of buffing the total kill count for a level. The game tracks all enemy types separately and tallies them up at the end. So you only need to increase the recorded basic soldier kills in order to buff the kill count. Change it during a stage.
OKAY…. that should cover everything.
And no, I’m not planning on updating this table any further, adding anything to it, etc.
I MIGHT re-upload it to another site and re-link if you can’t access my Google Drive.
You may make whatever changes to your local copy of the file as you wish.
I also don’t care if you want to share it or re-upload it elsewhere. I’m really not bothered by that sort of thing.
I’m lazy, y’know.
