Exploration
You Never Know…Try to open locked doors 50 times.
You should unlock this achievement in your first playthrough; just hug every door you can find.
ShatteredDestroy 50 windows.
You should unlock this achievement in your first playthrough; smash as many windows as possible, such as the one for the record shop.
No Turning Back Now Try to leave Silent Hill in the Observation Deck area.
At the beginning of the game, simply turn round and follow the road.
Leftovers Find the pizza in Pete’s Bowl-O-Rama.
In Western South Vale, go to Pete’s Bowl-O-Rama and inspect the abandoned pizza box.
It’s Bread Interact with bread.
When navigating through the mandrake section (Lakeview Hotel) there will be a unavoidable enemy near the gem. Dodge round and there is a stack of bread you can interact with.
All Seems in Order Discover the secret of Room 106.
Return to Jacks Inn in the South Vale Otherworld (during the night). Enter Room 106 and then interact with the symbol behind the bed
Let’s NOT Party! Shoot all the balloons in Wood Side Apartments.
In Wood Side apartments, shoot all the balloons.
Scourge of Toluca LakeSpend 10 minutes out on Toluca Lake.
When you can finally control the boat, just set a timer for 10 minutes, go make some food and come back.
Archivist Collect all memos in a single playthrough.

Blunt Force TraumaKill 75 enemies with melee weapons.
You should unlock this achievement on your first playthrough.
No Big DealKill 75 enemies with ranged weapons.

James of All TradesKill at least one enemy with Wooden Plank, Steel Pipe, Handgun, Shotgun and Rifle in a single playthrough.
You should unlock this achievement on your first playthrough.
MercilessFinish off 50 enemies with a stomp attack.
You should unlock this achievement on your first playthrough.
LumberjackFind the chainsaw.
You will need to complete the game at least once to unlock New Game+, the chainsaw can be heard/found shortly after walking past the Silent Hill Ranch.
As Close as You Like Finish the game without killing enemies using ranged weapons.
You can do this rather easily on your first playthrough, but I suggest waiting until unlocking NG+ and using the chainsaw.
Radio Silence Complete the game without using the radio.
You can do this rather easily on your first playthrough. Just don’t use the radio.
Endings
Faster Than Fog Finish the game in under 10 hours.
I highly suggest you do this in NG+ and enjoy your first playthrough.
I Saw That TownComplete New Game Plus on any difficulty.
To unlock New Game+, you must complete the base game at least once.
Making Peace Reach the “Leave” ending.
Keep yourself healed & looked after, don’t inspect the knife. After the Dual Spearamid Head fight, listen to Mary until she is finished. When you come up, you should see ‘Mary’ by the window.
Vicious Circle Reach the “Maria” ending.
For the Maria ending, just sprint through the corridor after the Dual Spearamid Head fight, don’t listen to her and leave early. You should see ‘Mary’ on the bed.
Only Way Out Reach the “In Water” ending.
During the Dual Spearamid Head fight, get injured until you see the ‘+’ icon at the bottom right of your screen, indicating you’re about to die. After defeating them, you can sit in the room before the corridor for ~10 minutes, while inspecting the knife every now and then. You’ll see Mary by the window but the ending will be different.
The Goodest Boi Reach the “Dog” ending.
This must be done during NG+.

Defy Even Death Reach the “Rebirth” ending.
This must be done during NG+.
