A few quests listed in the game do not have walkthroughs because I have not been able to start them. Please tell me if you have any information on these.
1. Tartarus
Given by Dr. Pat. Available before asking about your father’s death. Start by asking Dr. Pat if he needs help. Use first aid on six injured workers. Return to Dr. Pat.
1-2. Your father is badly irradiated. You need to find a way back to Tartarus and help him.
Given by yourself. There are largely two ways to get back into Tartarus:
A) Get a disguise (robes, fake military armor, scout armor) or
B) Walk in and kill the guards. You can enter from the Metro Station or from the starting tunnels of Tartarus. It is also possible to get into Olympus, then go down to Tartarus provided you have a keycard 2B.
3. Your father needs something called “Antiradine.” Find it and bring it to Dr. Pat in Tartarus.
Given by Dr. Pat. There are two ways to get Antiradine, both in Rainbow Raiders. The first is to buy it from Apothecary. The second is to harvest ant bellies and Mate will give one as a reward. You need to complete this quest by January 2208, or your father will die. Talking to Dr. Pat will still complete the quest. If your father is dead, you can recruit the only human companion in the game, your brother Kirk.
Unmarked. Search for Renaissance. Given by your organizer. You need to find four pieces of a map. One is in the Metro station, one is in Sunset Jackals, one is held by a person in Livos, one is in Tin Industries.
Unmarked. consult Smitty to build items. You can get a plunger, a home-made grenade, a rusty cuirass, and more from him.
2. Metro Station
Given by Robin, the man at the beginning of the station. Basic fetchquest for six apples and one bundle of firewood. All the required materials are in the old town north of the Metro Station. The reward is some reputation or a throwing knife.
2-2. Go hunting with Gromus and collect some scorpion tails.
Given by Gromus, the ghoul bartender. Go hunting with him and strip two tails from the scorpions, then talk to him to return. Gives a wild potion and xp as a reward.
2-3. Gather 10 local residents for Bono’s speech.
Given by Bono, the head ghoul in the office. Talk to 10 generic civilians in the metro and ask them to attend. The reward is 260 xp.
2-4. Priestly asked to bring him a bag of fertilizer for the gardens.
Given by Priestly the farmer. You need one whiskey, one apple, one ash, and one pile of leaves. Craft the fertilizer, then give it to Priestly.
2-5. Peter asked you to clean the clogged toilet. You need a special tool.
Given by Peter, the Tartarus dweller in the first room. Get the plunger, either A) from the locked wooden chest inside the large shanty in Rainbow Raiders, or B) from Smitty for the price of a hammer. Use it on the toilet, then talk to Peter.
2-6. You need to find a way to calm baby Lily and help her to sleep.
Given by Martha, the pale lady on the lower level. Talking to Lily with a speech of 75% does it, BUT the game invisibly rolls for the solution showing up each time you open dialogue. Open and close dialogue until you see the lullaby show up, follow it, then return to Martha. Reward is a box of matches and 650 XP.
2-7. Help Joe find his lost wife.
Given by Joe. Only unlockable with a black character. Talk to Bono, look at the plank on the grave, talk to Joe again.
2-8. Hugo needs a Combatid and 5 Heal-ups to storm Tartarus.
This closes the Metro station questline on the aggressive side. This isn’t exclusive with giving them ten bags of fertilizer, you can do both, but you’ll only get the karma perk for the first one you complete.
Unmarked. Talking to corporal Spock at the Tartarus gate results in him making a deal, a bottle each whiskey and cognac in exchange for one woman and child entering Tartarus. Give him the two bottles for 400 xp.
Unmarked. Get 10 more bags of fertilizer. Given by Bono after completing quest 2-4. This pretty much requires scavenging the entire map, especially for whiskey. This closes the Metro Station main quest on the pacifist side, though you can still complete metro quest #8 and trigger the Defender raid on Tartarus.
3. Sunset Jackals
Talking to Chris results in quest 3-9, getting rid of Kyle, though that can be bypassed with a speech check. Once either Kyle is replaced, or you convince Chris that Loudmouth ordered the part, take it back to Carl.
3-2. Search and get hold of an Ultra Repair Kit.
Given by Carl, after reading Douglas’ list. The ultra repair kit is hidden in the bunker hidden behind the south wall of the room Loudmouth is in. You need to turn him away from the ladder by talking to him, and then sneaking in.
3-3. Find a rare whetstone for Harry.
One is in the tunnels below Livos. The other is in Oasis, in the caves.
3-4. Go on a hunt with Ursul. Try not to die.
Given by Ursul, the hunter next to the dead Ursa. He’ll take you on a hunting trip. Then kill everything.
3-5. Casper holds a grudge against Vince. You should help Vince.
Given by Vince, the gateguard. You can convince Vince to take the fight himself with speech, or kill Stan in the ring.
3-6. Loudmouth wants to have a necklace of made of Chimera fangs. He needs 3 more.
Kill three Chimerae and loot their bodies, then bring the fangs back to Loudmouth.
3-7. Oswald Brown wouldn’t mind to get hold of a rare vintage “Slugger” pistol.
Given by Oswald. Philip in NWO gives one as a quest reward, as does Boston McKinsey in Livos.
3- 8. Billy Stone wants you to stand guard outside the room while he’s with Shiva.
Given by Billy. After talking to him, you’re immediately transported to a scripted scene. Your job is to fend off Loudmouth.
3-9. Chris Murena asked you to get rid of Kyle and find a replacement for him.
This is most easily done with explosives, either dynamite, C4, door traps, or mines. Poisoning Kyle will crash the game.
Unmarked. Investigate Chris’ stash. Given by Kyle if asked about Chris’ paranoia after Chris asks you to kill Kyle. Going to the stash reveals nothing.
Unmarked. Replace Loudmouth with a new boss of the raiders. His lieutenants Chris Murena, Oswald Brown, and Billy Stone are the candidates.
Unmarked. Rebuild Jackal’s revolver, the most powerful weapon in the wasteland. The grip is in the warehouse, the cylinder is on Kyle’s corpse, and the barrel is in Loudmouth’s basement. Also required is a pistol repair kit, 81 repair, and 49 science. The pistol is a magnum revolver with “Lumeniers” written on the side in cursive. Its appearance is a reference to Alucard’s pistol in Hellsing.
Unmarked. Become leader of the Sunset Jackals. There is a perk in the game files for this, but I do not know if it is possible. Billy can be coerced into a closed fight, as can Loudmouth. I do not know about Oswald or Chris.
4. New World Order
After getting to ‘accepted’ reputation in NWO, given by Mark. Lucy and Sam can both told to be convinced with a speech check. Sam can be blackmailed by his purchasing of rare medicine after talking to Burns. Lucy can be asked to stand down with a speech check.
4-2. Burns asked you to find out who could replace the dying Mark as a Mayor.
Given by Burns. Talking to Mark results in him asking you to talk to his son. Talk to Daniel, then return to Mark.
A) If you say that Daniel would make a good leader, and convince Daniel to pretend to act like a good leader, Daniel will become mayor.
B) If you say that Daniel would make a bad leader, and be honest about Daniel’s intentions, Mark will decide to put Sam in charge. You will need to convince the town members to elect Sam.
4-3. Juan complained about the broken machine and asked you to help him.
A) Pickpocket the piece off of Arsene, then give it back to Juan. B) Ask Juan if he can forge it, then get an engineering skill book and give it to him. C) repair the machine yourself.
4-4. The scout Cyren is going to raid Tin Industries to get some rolls of tin. He needs a partner.
Go to Tin Industries, go in, get 1 roll of tin, and head back to NWO. Give Cyrus the roll and he’ll give you a Hotter shotgun.
4-5. You can guard Flint’s caravans for good pay.
This one is a note, not a resolvable quest. You can join Flint on caravans to the other three corners of the map: Livos, Sunset Jackals, and Rainbow Raiders. It gets you 300 batteries per trip and saves you radiation from normal travel.
4-6. Clumsy Owen dislocated his arm, you need to help him.
Given by Owen. You can fix his arm yourself, or negotiate with the doctor to do it.
4-7. Someone steals canned meat from the warehouse, and the innocently accused Skeet sits behind bars.
Go inside the building with storage marked on it, and wait until 12-1 AM in the morning. Kill the thief, then tell Mark about it.
4-8. Philip’s Lavash refuse to eat their food. Find out the reason behind it.
A) Looking at the food trough will show oil stains. Tell Philip, then return the next day.
B) Talk to Arsense or Daniel, and he’ll tell you he mixed oil in with the food. Go back and tell Philip. You can take a bribe of 4 combatid to keep Arsene anonymous, which will nearly negate the XP reward and cost you 15 karma. Philip will give you a “Slugger” pistol either way.
4-9. The last time water was delivered from Livos, it tasted strange. Sam asks you to find out what’s wrong.
Given by Sam. Talk to Christopher at the trading table at Livos, then return to Sam.
4-10. The brothers Seth and Matt can’t get along with each other. You should help them reconcile.
The two brothers both want something from Livos. Go to Livos, return, and then tell them the news. Then get them to make up in dialogue.
4-11. Blanca is passionately hungry for love. Find the “special device” and don’t disappoint her!
The “special device” is found in the main floor of Livos in a safe. Return to Bianca with it.
4-12. Henry asks to find his friends Sunny and Becky in Pearson Town.
Get to the basement of the Pearson Town supermarket and lockpick the basement door. Talk to Sunny and Becky.
Unmarked. Become leader of NWO. There is a perk in the game files for this, but I do not know if it is possible.
5. Livos
This is a little misleading. Edward won’t let you in unless he has a REASON to let you in. He will forge a family history once you convince him. Speech checks are littered throughout. Some solutions are A) paying 1500 batteries, and B) having the robot arm from tin industries.
5-2. The water filter is broken. Ashton Horton wants you to fix it.
Given by Ashton. This requires a high repair skill just to advance, 90% or higher.
A) You can attempt to repair the machine yourself for 100% repair.
B) extract the engine and take it to Carl in Sunset Jackals for ♂300 ♂bucks. (Yes, the game actually makes this joke.) Return to Livos and replace the engine. When repaired, talk to Ashton.
5-3. The Dunton family asked you to kill all the creatures in the cave under the filtration room.
Kill the mole rats and the queen. After entering and exiting the caves, and then the filter room, the queen will move to the filter room. Sadly, it won’t kill Emily if she is lured to the filter room.
5-4. Christopher Schwein is in love with Mignon Horton and asks you to help woo the girl.
Given by Christopher. You can talk to Dallas and Mignon with speech checks to convince them, or get the perfume from Lucy’s locker in NWO. The reward is a laser pistol or the plasma rifle prototype necessary to enter the front door of Olympus.
5-5. Dallas McKinsey is in love with Mignon Horton and asks you to help woo the girl.
It’s a copy of quest 5-4, but instead of perfume, you need the romantic collection CD from Sunset Jackals. The reward is five clear waters. There’s simply no reason to pick Dallas over Christopher.
5-6. Ludwig Schwein says that someone has stolen his book on Wave Science. Help him to get the valuable book back.
Given by Ludwig. The book is held by Claudia Horton. Asking Fox about it and then pressuring Claudia will make her give the book to you. Return it to Ludwig.
5-7. Sope Dunton can no longer stand the tyranny of his wife Emily and asks you to “take her out”.
Given by “Soup” Dunton. Many ways to do this.
A) Tell Emily she’s needed urgently in the filter room. You usually have to kill Emily yourself, but there are no witnesses.
B) beat Emily in a game of cards for her leadership.
C) Blow her up with trapped explosives.
Return to Sope and decide the future leader of Livos.
5-8. Claudia Horton is pestering Boston about her husband’s death. You need to find a way to calm Claudia down.
Given by Boston. You can convince Claudia that it was an accident, or ask Emily to hold a memorial night.
5-9. Edward Schwein has accidentally given the Livos Constitution to some huge savage. He asks you to return it.
[No Data: I have not been able to start this quest. If you have information, message me.]The Constitution is obtained by threatening Klumk in Oasis, then winning against him in hand-to-hand combat.
Unmarked. Pick a new leader for Livos. This ties in to quest 5-6. You can pick Sope or yourself.
6. Rainbow Raiders
Given by Mate. Go to the caves, kill eight of the ten mutated ants, harvest the bellies from their corpses, and bring them to the apothecary. The reward is a vial of antiradine.
6-2. Apothecary asks you to find out who is that strange man in armor, sitting in the bar.
Given by Apothecary, after completing the ant belly quest. Talk to Douglas.
6-3. In one of the fights in the arena, Douglas lost his badge. Find the badge and give it back to Douglas.
Given by Douglas. Get his badge in the middle of the arena in the first fight. Even novice characters can win, and if not, use a little combat drug. The reward is a lot of XP. Then pickpocket Douglas of his badge, and his list.
6-4. G, the leader of a gang of teenagers, demands 5 bottles of cognac for the right to become a member of the gang.
Given by G. Pretty much the only place to get five bottles of cognac is at Livos.
6-5. G intends to rob the caravan! This is your chance!
This is a repeatable raid. The caravans will have normal merchant inventories, so you can get high-tech stuff (above level 10, anyway) like SLR-4 guns and environmental suits for free. The raid ends as soon as combat ends, so be quick about looting inventories in combat. Killing the merchant or his guards will cost you NWO reputation, but if you let the other raiders land the killing blow, it won’t. Each raid costs you 10 karma and gains you 124 batteries, plus whatever goods you stole. The benefit is getting merchant-exclusive gear, things like magnum pistols and environmental armor. It may require some savescumming to get what you want though.
This quest is finished either A) when G dies, or B) by telling him to join the Hog.
6-6. Help the poor prostitute.
Triggered when entering the bar for the first time through the main entrance, or when talking to Shepherd for the first time after that. Choose in dialog to either defend or capture the prostitute. Completed at the end of dialogue.
6-7. The Shepherd asked you to deal with Brick, who keeps screwing his ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for free.
You can:
A) Just kill him.
B) Scare him with a speech check.
C) offer to bring him women, talk to Hog’s women, then talk to Brick again. The last option opens quest 6-8.
6-8. Naomi asked to help her escape.
After getting Brick to leave his post (or killing him), the door to the warehouse will be open. On the left there is a hidden ladder. Pass though it, talk to Naomi, close dialogue, then open it again. Convince her that you want to help her leave. Return to the warehouse. The reward is 3000 xp.
6-9. Lenny doesn’t understand why his friend Carl isn’t coming back from the dead.
Given by Lenny, the ghoul standing over a corpse. Talk to the ghoul fixing the toilet at the lower end of the map. Then talk to Lenny again. Your reward is 600 XP and a shotgun.
6-10. Hog asks you to negotiate a non-aggression with the Sunset Jackals.
[No Data: I have not been able to start this quest. If you have information, message me.]
According to old Russian guides, the quest is started by just talking to Hog, but I’ve never been able to get it to work.
6-11. The Shepherd can’t handle all the stoned visitors and asks for help.
[No Data: I have not been able to start this quest. If you have information, message me.]
6-12. Use the resources of Olympus Tower as you see fit.
[No Data: I have not been able to start this quest. If you have information, message me.]
Unmarked. Talk with the Apothecary about replacing the Hog. Given by Apothecary. Mate can be convinced to kill the Hog. You can then convince Hog’s women to poison Mate. Then talk to Apothecary, and he will swear you in as leader of Rainbow Raiders. You can also defeat both of them in arena fights.
Unmarked. Talk to the Hog about recruiting G. Reward is 1500 xp, some reputation, and 30 (!) karma.
7. Oasis
7-1. Defeat Klumk if you want to live!
Given by Klumk. Threatening to kill him results in him challenging you to a duel in hand-to-hand combat. Afterward, the Elder will give you the Livos Constitution of 15 rights as a reward.
7-2. Khala is bitten on the arm by a ravenous animal. She needs medical attention.
Given by Khala. Examining her wound in dialogue determines that she needs a doctor. You can talk to either Dr. Pat in Tartarus, or Doc in NWO. Convince him to follow you to the patient and he’ll become a temporary companion. Return to Oasis, talk to Khala, then return to the doctor’s home.
7-3. Ptuna can’t find her pet wolf Hook anywhere.
Given by Ptuna. Talk to Khala, pressure her, then return to Ptuna.
8. Mangy Dog
The easiest way is to walk into the mines. With a high traps skill you can disarm them.
2. Fight off the attacking Onca Devils.
This is a hard fight. There are lots of them and the terrain is against you. Kill them all.
9. Olympus
Go to the Chimera den, kill the lesser Chimerae, and jab the big one with the needle. Sadly, you cannot jab the queen Chimera in Livos. Talk to Captain Richards, who will give you the keycard to floor 31. Then talk to Gray. This will immediately start quest 9-2.
9-2. Philipp Gray is convinced that Constantine Zochkis, the head of the Design and Engineering Bureau, must die as soon as possible. Accelerate this process.
The easiest way to do this is simply walk into the room with the Chimera and talk to Zochkis, though letting the Chimera loose locks you out of Dr. Moreau’s questline. After Zochkis is dead, the engineering floor will lock down. Go onto the balcony and use the sytems wizard in the computer to restore power.
9-3. Diamond Crank needs a pre-war prototype of the “Baraka” Minigun. Bring it to him.
Go to the army headquarters, and extract the Baraka from its case. Then return to Diamond Crank. The Baraka is by far the most powerful weapon in the game, and works like a 20mm automatic anti-tank rifle.
9-4. Diamond Crank needs you to bring Ludwig Schwein to him.
This quest is given as an alternative to quest 9-3 if you already picked up the Baraka before talking to Diamond Crank.
9-5. Captain #34 asks you to fill out all the documentation forms and conduct weapon tests.
After getting the Baraka, go to floor 096. Talk to Captain #34 and enter the testing room. You need to survive getting shot by the Baraka twice, for 60-80 damage. Resistanol might be necessary.
NOTE: There is a cheeky way to steal the Defender armor here without consequences. Stick to the right side of the corridor and Captain #34 will not engage in conversation. Drop a spare set of Olympus faction armor in the testing booth. Then go back to Captain #34 and start the test. While in combat mode in the testing room, pick up the spare armor you dropped earlier, then open your inventory, put it on, and drop the Defender armor on the floor. After the test is completed, run back and pick up the armor.
9-6. Go to the Server floor. Someone waits for you there.
After completing the Defender raid, Captain #34 will give you an X1 card and tell you to go to the server room. The computer numbered 079 is a reference to the SCP Foundation.
9-7. KILL ANDERSON!
Kill this discount Mr. House. It is possible to do this in one turn. Targeting the ‘power cable’ on the shield rolls for the eyes critical hit table, meaning a possibility of instant death. Anderson himself is very weak, so he only needs one shot. With combatid, drop, or a high agility character.
Unmarked. Join the Defenders. Given by Captain #34 after completing quest 9-5. Join the raid. After completion, he gives you a suit of Defender armor and tells you that someone wants to talk to you in the Server floor, and gives you an X1 keycard.
10. Olympus Part 2
A) Give Kelly the recruit’s diary disk found in the tunnels outside Tartarus.
B) Learn of her mistakes of mixing up vaccines from other Olympus members and threaten her with it.
C) Convince her that she should get with Jock to avoid getting an undesirable assigned parter. This one is tricky, lots of dialog options and failures.
Go back to Jock and he’ll give you a colt python.
Fun fact: Jock has an entirely different set of dialog for if you bluff him and convince him you’re a captain, calling you “sir” and being polite, though you won’t get the colt python as a reward.
Jock gives you a biology access card after starting the quest.
10-2. Moreau can’t calibrate the cloning machine. Bring him a woman from Tartarus to experiment on.
This quest can be passed with a high repair skill, 100 or more. Otherwise, go to Tartarus and jab a random woman, then return to Moreau.
10-3. The cloning machine’s power has run out of power. Go to Zochkis on Engineering floor to find out what to do with that.
Given by Dr. Moreau. Talking to Zochkis will redirect you to ♥♥♥♥. ♥♥♥♥ will give you a power cell in exchange for making a clone of Beatrice. Tell Moreau and give him the power cell.
10-4. ♥♥♥♥ is waiting for a clone of his wife Beatrice, promised to him by Gray for his services. Moreau might help.
Talk to ♥♥♥♥ after the cloning is completed. The reward is the code to Zochkis’ lockbox, which contains a physics access card. The code is 2249, a reference to the planned sequel, Olympus 2249.
10-5. To complete the clone, Dr. Moreau needs the Stem Cell Essence from Biolaboratory #2.
Talk to Moreau. Go to biolab #2 and take the stem cell essence from one of the lockers in the basement. Return to Moreau and give him the vial. This allows you to complete quest 10-4.
10-6. Taylor can fix the advanced Lumenier mechanized suit if you bring him the servo from a similar suit.
Find Lumeniers, either in a random encounter in the top center of the map, or by finding their outpost, a special encounter either around Olympus or around the north mountains. Kill a green-suited Lumenier Leader. Take the part off his corpse and give it to Taylor.
Unmarked. Get ballistic data in the suit. After two weeks in the suit, Taylor will begin mumbling about how the AS-2000 MK II is not as good as he first thought, which is true. Defender armor is generally better, while the AS-2000 is only an improvement while dealing with energy weapons.
Special Encounters
There are nine special encounters, six in the desert and three in the mountains. Two are late-game content and seven are references to post-apocalyptic or sci-fi movies.
1. Some graves in the desert.
A series of graves with names on them. One of the graves contains a plastic dinosaur. A reference to the television series Firefly and its climax movie, Serenity.
2. An abandoned house.
An empty house with a water tank up top. Under a manhole cover is a single small room. In the center is a small table with one candle in the middle. A reference to the book and movie The Road.
3. Raiders attacking a road warrior.
A couple of standard raiders standing next to a dead man in a leather coat, a dead dog, and a broken car. Inspecting it notes that it has a nice turbocharger. A reference to the movie Mad Max.
4. A girl with her tank.
A girl working on a broken tank. A reference to the movie Tank Girl.
5. A tired wanderer.
A man who asks you to find someone to decode the meaning of a book of braille text. A reference to the move The Book of Eli.
6. A camp of nomadic pirates.
A large camp, bustling with enemy bandits with high-quality guns and armor. Probably not a reference to anything, just a very rare combat encounter.
7. A cave in the mountains.
A cave, inside of which are three cannibal bandits under a statue of lady justice. A reference to the movie Judge Dredd.
8. A fortified outpost.
A small outpost patrolled by Lumeniers in AS-2000 power armor. Not a reference to anything, but a location necessary for completing quest 10-6.
9. A punk on his bike.
A man and a boy resting next to a broken guitar and a broken motorcycle. A reference to the movie Six-String Samurai.
