Dead Money
Dead Money is the first add-on for Fallout: New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks.
Dead Money is set in the Sierra Madre, an opulent and extravagant resort that would have been the greatest casino in the west, had it ever been opened. The bombs fell before the grand opening gala event, and the Sierra Madre froze in time, its state of the art security system locking the place up tight. Nothing could get in, and none of the guests could escape. The security holograms then activated and the once glorious event turned into a slaughter. After many years, the climate control and air conditioning systems within the facility began to spit strange toxins into the surrounding city, causing a red cloud to form over the area – which proved lethal to anyone who tried to explore the city. Only a mysterious group called the ghost people survived to call the city home, trapped inside what appears to be hazmat suits, they wander the streets never speaking to their victims, only capturing them alive and dragging them away to the depths of the city deep within the Cloud. The Sierra Madre attempted to send out a distress signal on the day of the War, but the system did not broadcast an alert signal, having been hooked up to the gala event to broadcast adverts for the casino, so help never came.
And so the Sierra Madre faded from memory, only occasionally being seen in posters across the wastes, until it took on mythic ghost story status, a supposed “City of Gold” in the wasteland where all the treasures of the Old World were rumored to be held. It was kept alive as a late-night saloon story by prospectors who’d claimed to have found maps leading there and were willing to part with the map for a few caps… or a drink… or a warm place to sleep.[verification needed]
The Sierra Madre is a place in the wastes, with travelers risking their lives to find it. Only one man truly “found” it and lived. After the fall of HELIOS One, Father Elijah, formerly an elder of the Mojave Brotherhood of Steel, set out to find new weapons to eradicate the NCR, and in the process, he discovered the Sierra Madre. In doing so, he lured others, including the Courier, to the resort, forcing them to navigate the hazards of the Madre and play the pawns in his game to crack open the casino’s vault, long since lost to time. If the Courier wished to escape this hellish place, they would have to be clever, and use their new allies as Father Elijah did. The real question is, what really mattered to them? The treasure? Revenge? Survival? Or their humanity?

Honest Hearts
Honest Hearts is the second add-on for Fallout: New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks.
After the First Battle of Hoover Dam, and during preparation for the Second, Caesar reached out to the Great Salt Lake and the White Legs tribe to rally them into destroying New Canaan and its people. Through the guidance of one of his frumentarii, the White Legs acquired powerful weapons and razed the religious community to the ground, killing many. But they failed to end the life of Caesar’s true target, the former Malpais Legate, now the infamous “Burned Man,” Joshua Graham.
Joshua along with a missionary, Daniel sought refuge in the wilds and natural beauty of Zion Canyon, followed by members of the Dead Horses tribe who revere Joshua as their war-chief, whereas Daniel hopes to spread the word of his faith to another tribe living in Zion, the Sorrows. However, the White Legs, led by their war-chief Salt-Upon-Wounds invaded Zion, intending to eradicate the tribes there and cement a place for themselves among the ranks of Caesar’s Legion. While Joshua hopes to rally the two tribes and strike back against the invaders, Daniel pushes for a bloodless resolution and evacuating Zion even if it means giving up a bastion of beauty to savages.
Outside the cliffs of Zion, the Happy Trails Caravan Company is riding on the edge of financial collapse with the loss of New Canaan and most other routes disrupted by raiders and other tribulations. Jed Masterson sent out an all-channels recruiting message hoping to acquire the services of anyone with a reliable means of map-reading like a Pip-Boy. This is where the Courier enters the story of Honest Hearts.

Old World Blues
Old World Blues is the third add-on for Fallout: New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks.
In Old World Blues, the Courier is abducted and experimented upon by the Think Tank, a group of pre-War scientists that have replaced their aging bodies with machines. Learning that the Think Tank has removed and subsequently lost the Courier’s brain, the Courier aids the Think Tank scientists in fighting Dr. Mobius, the rogue scientist currently in possession of their missing brain. Exploring the Big MT facility, the Courier rediscovers lost technology and fights off lobotomites, robo-scorpions, and more.
Finally meeting Dr. Mobius, the Courier learns that he is not actually evil, but has messed with the Think Tank’s memories and constantly threatens them in order to keep them from experimenting on the entire wasteland. By stealing the Courier’s brain, Dr. Mobius was preventing the Think Tank from using the brain’s unique properties to move their own brains into host bodies and escape the crater. After choosing what to do with Mobius and reacquiring their brain, the Courier returns to the Think Tank and can choose to either convince them to stay in Big MT or to kill them.

Lonesome Road
Lonesome Road is the fourth and final add-on for Fallout: New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks.
Lonesome Road brings the Courier’s story full circle when they are contacted by the original “Courier Six,” a man by the name of Ulysses, a former frumentarius of Caesar who refused to deliver the platinum chip at the start of the main storyline in Fallout: New Vegas. In his transmission, Ulysses promises the answer as to why, but only if the Courier takes one last job; a job that leads them into the great depths of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by frequent earthquakes and violent storms. This is the fabled location of the battle between the Courier and Ulysses. The road to the Divide is a long and treacherous one, and of the few brave enough to walk it, none have ever returned. The first quest in this expansion begins with The Reunion.
