Welcome to our beginner’s guide to unlocking 100% achievements in Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector. In this guide, we will share some quick tips that will not only help you impress Lord Roboute Guilliman, but also ensure that you complete all achievements in the game. Let’s get started!
Tutorial Achievements
Interactus
Use the interact command (Guaranteed.)
The Emperor Will Remember
Use the fallback command (Guaranteed.)
Sharpshooter
Score a critical hit with a bolter (Not guaranteed, so just keep playing the campaign if you didn’t get it.)
I Eviscerate In His Name
Score a critical hit with a chainsword (Not guaranteed, so just keep playing the campaign if you didn’t get it.)
By Frag Or By Krak
Kill an enemy unit with a grenade (Not guaranteed, so just keep playing the campaign if you didn’t get it.)
Ready For Battle
Complete the tutorial (Guaranteed.)
Age of Crimson Dawn Campaign Achievements
Complete any campaign mission using only melee (Not guaranteed.)
I unlocked this April 7th, 2024. I suggest starting a new campaign on “Initiate” difficulty. In the first mission, use the intercessors as bait. The aggressors, assault marines, and sergeant must only use their melee attacks during your active turn. Activating your jump packs is fine to get a better angle, but no overwatch or direct shooting attacks are allowed. Pistol reaction attacks, activated when the Tyranids charge you, do not appear to prevent unlocking the achievement.
To The Sky
Unlock a flying unit (Guaranteed.)
Angel’s Grace
Unlock a Tier 1 node in a tech tree (Technically not guaranteed, but if you miss this it was on purpose.)
That My Brothers Fight On
Heal an ally (Technically not guaranteed, but if you miss this it was on purpose.)
Living Artillery Vanquished
Kill a Tyrannofex (Guaranteed.)
Warriors Virtue
Unlock a Tier 3 node in a tech tree (Technically not guaranteed, but if you miss this it was on purpose.)
By Cleansing Fire
Kill unit with a flame weapon (Technically not guaranteed, but if you miss this it was on purpose.)
The assault marines, aggressors, land speeders, furioso dreadnoughts, Baal predator tanks, invictor warsuits, and seraphim all have access to flame weapons. If you don’t get this during the campaign, multiplayer makes it easy.)
The Emperor Maketh Me Whole
Unlock a Tier 5 node in a tech tree (Technically not guaranteed, but if you miss this it was on purpose.)
The achievement “From The Sky” requires you to call in a stormraven missile strike (a tier 5 node ability, so to unlock that you must complete this.)
Astropathic Connection
Complete Act One (Guaranteed.)
I Am Vengeance
Recruit a Furioso Dreadnought (Technically not guaranteed, but if you miss this it was on purpose.)
Pride of Baal
Recruit a Baal Predator (Technically not guaranteed, but if you miss this it was on purpose.)
Subterra, Subdued
Kill a Trygon with a pistol (Not guaranteed.)
The aggressors (Hail of Fire), assault marines (Inferno Pistols), and Seraphim (Inferno Pistols) are all good at completing this. All it really takes though, is getting a Trygon to less than ten health before having any pistol character move in for the kill (Tactical precision and Datalink Telemetry are great for ensuring the kill.)
Trophy Hunter
Collect Gallians staff (Guaranteed.)
The Sisterhood Stands Ready
Unlock an Adepta Sororitas unit (Guaranteed.)
Corporaptor Hominis
Kill a Genestealer (Guaranteed.)
Purge This Infestation
Clear Kemrender of infestation nodes (Guaranteed.)
Kemrender Restored
Complete Act Two (Guaranteed.)
In Death, We Repent
Sacrifice all Death Company units at Wind River Canyon (Technically not guaranteed.)
All Death Company units must die during the “Wind River Canyon” mission. It is as easy as provoking attacks from the Tyranids by moving through threatened squares.
Decapitate the Devourer
Complete the Age of Crimson Dawn campaign (Guaranteed.)
From The Sky
Call in a Stormraven missile strike (Not guaranteed.)
Earning three command points to use this is the hardest part of the achievement. By the end of the campaign you will have every HQ ability you want to use unlocked. There aren’t enough points for literally everything, but it comes close.
Multiplayer Achievements
Prey for Leviathan
Win a skirmish battle against Blood Angels
The Emperor Protects…Sometimes
Kill a Blood Angels Lieutenant in a multiplayer game
Volatile
Trigger the Volatile ability
Play as space marines with a mirrored list. Set the points cap to 3,000 and take 2 librarian dreadnoughts, 3 furioso dreadnoughts, and 3 Baal predator tanks. Fight yourself until something explodes, and you will earn this achievement.
Death to the Tyrant
Kill a Hive Tyrant in a multiplayer game
FAQ/Gameplay Tips
None (Gold standard achieved).
Why did you only list the “Age of Crimson Dawn” campaign in the achievements guide?
It’s the only one you need to play. Demonic Incursion (survival versus demons), Planetary Supremacy (not a story campaign, but a fun experience with the faction of your choice), and Custom Campaigns (player created content) don’t have any achievements specifically tied to them.
How do I recruit units?
Click on the army management tab and select units to recruit. You can also reinforce from your reserves in this menu and select each unit’s wargear.
How do I upgrade my units/acquire new wargear?
Click on the HQ Upgrade Center and select an HQ to upgrade. Each HQ has unique upgrades. Spend your HQ upgrade tokens (earned from completing primary and secondary campaign objectives) to unlock skills in their upgrade tree. Some upgrades are army/faction/unit specific. These will unlock new wargear, abilities, or permanent buffs.
How do I complete secondary objectives?
Secondary objectives are not listed in missions because they are either very obvious or only used to balance difficulty settings. On most campaign missions secondary objectives are completed by completing the primary objective. This ensures that harder difficulties can upgrade HQ units as the developers intended. When you are attempting a rescue, you actually earn variable scores, but otherwise I didn’t notice any differences.
I have unlocked command abilities, but how do I use them?
These are active skills for Carleon. You must earn command tokens by gaining momentum across your army, destroying enemy units, or losing units. When you have sufficient command points, select Carleon to spend 1 AP and your command point for the ability to take effect.
What is momentum?
It is a meter that registers how well units are performing. It also grants units buffs and can be spent to improve abilities or gain 1 extra AP. All units gain momentum based on models killed. Blood Angels have a faction bonus based on how close they were to models when they killed them. This makes Blood Angels want to get close. Tyranids get a bonus based on melee or ranged kills, and they prefer melee. Sisters of battle get a bonus for taking damage… They want to die (For the Emperor!). Units will lose momentum for ending their turn with AP or in overwatch.
Tips
Left clicking on a target will show you a summary of the unit selected. If you have selected one of your units and you select an enemy unit, it will show a summary of modifiers to your default/selected attack versus that target. Modifiers can be buffs, debuffs, positioning (range for shooting or direct rear attack for melee), and cover. You cannot stack the same modifier multiple times, but different modifiers that effect the same stat (like accuracy) stack cumulatively.
Every unit has a front arc. This makes melee and ranged combat dynamic. It is well designed. If a unit has a melee weapon, it will attack units in its front arc if they attempt to move. They will fight back against units which attack them from a tile in the front arc as well. When you assign a unit to overwatch (make a ranged attack at units move into a threatened area), it changes your front arc to control that lane. I recommend playing around with facing.
As a final note, some of the tool tips are incomplete. My personal favorite is that “Hail of Fire” neglects to mention aggressors’ armor penetration is increased by 1 per MP lost in addition to gaining 4 shots per MP lost.
