The Quarry: How to Solve Common Game Errors

1) Launch Task Manager and in the processes find the line with the name of the game (The Quarry). Click on it and select “Priorities” in the menu, then set it to “High”. then set it to “High”. Now all that remains is to restart the game.

f) Now the little things: select “Allow Connection” “Next” select connection profiles, “Next” specify a name for the newly created rule and if you want, you can add a description. All that’s left is to save all the changes and you’re done.

2.2) How to find out IP address in windows 7 8 10?

a) Open a window with a command line (opens with the command “cmd” in Start).
b) Enter the command “ipconfig” (without quotes).
c) The IP address will be displayed in the “Default Gateway” line.

1) The first thing to do is to install a “clean” version of your video card driver (i.e. don’t rush to install the same GeForce Experience right away, nothing extra from AMD and audio).

1) The most obvious and easiest way to deal with the error is to reinstall the drivers for your video card, and then run the game as administrator.

2) Next, try updating or installing .Net Framework, DirectX and Visual C++.

3) Alternatively, use the command line (“Start” “Run”), where you need to write the command “sfc /scannow” (the system will scan everything and if possible try to replace damaged files, if there are cached copies).

4) And lastly, you should try to remove software that conflicts with the video driver. Usually such unnecessary software includes programs that improve graphics.

The second method is the free Dependency Walker 64bit program:

1) After installing Dependency Walker 64bit , run the utility and go to the following address: “View” “Full Patch” “.exe-file of the problem game” (in some cases after this appears a window with errors, but do not pay attention to it, just close the window). Switch to the “Module” section Turn to the end of the error, look at the values in the columns.

2) The CPU column includes all DLLs, all of them must be 64-bit for the video game. So if you notice a DLL file with x86 architecture in the red column of the CPU column, then it means that this file is the reason for the 0xc000007b error.

3) Once the problem file is found, you should go to the official site dll-files.com and download there the 64-bit version of the DLL file. Find it, download it, place it in the folder “C:Windows\Windows\system32” and in the root folder of The Quarry, and then check its operability.

I use the Alan Wake game as an example.

Change the value in the registry.  

1) Win +R in the “Run” window, type the command regedit and click OK.
Then in the “Registry Editor” window, look for the section below.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

2) And if it is present, then you need to find the LoadAppinit_DLLs parameter – then in it you need to change the value of the option from 1 to 0 after you need to apply the settings and reboot the system.

1) Drivers installed/updated, but The Quarry still refuses to work properly? Then you need to check the software, are the necessary libraries installed at all? First of all, check the presence of Microsoft Visual C++ and .Net Framework libraries, as well as the presence of “fresh” DirectX. 

2) If none of the above did not give the desired result, then it’s time to resort to a radical way to solve the problem: start The Quarry and when the black screen appears, press the keyboard shortcut “Alt+Enter” to switch the game to windowed mode. This may open the main menu of the game and you will be able to determine whether the problem is in the game or not. If you managed to switch to windowed mode, then go to the game settings of The Quarry and change the resolution (it often happens that the mismatch between the game resolution and the desktop resolution leads to a conflict that causes a black screen).

3) The cause of this error can also be various programs designed for video capture and other applications related to video effects. And the reason is simple – conflicts appear.

4) And lastly – the problem, most likely, can be associated with the technical component of the “hardware”. The video adapter can overheat, as well as the bridges on the motherboard, which entails reduced power consumption of the video card. We will not go into detailed technical details, so we just recommend you to clean your machine from dust and change the thermal paste as well!
