Getting to know the differences
Lockdown is very similar to Center Perks, as it is a direct parody, but there are some, quite obvious changes. First thing you’ll notice is that you’re in a different cell than usual, this is a running theme that will occur in the other Lockdown prisons. All things considered, the different cell is the least of your worries. Next thing you’ll probably notice, there are a lot of contraband detectors and cameras, basically every area has at least one contraband detector and two cameras. The outside section of the prison, the area behind the purple doors, is now completely off limits, locked behind the red staff keys, although the roll call area, and the courtyard next to the cafeteria are still available to the prisoners. The laundry job is now completely replaced with a utility room with a generator, additionally you no longer start with the laundry job, now starting with the janitor job instead. The fences that surround the prison are now electrified and a lot of the staff doors are now replaced with white ones, completely preventing access. Many of the utility compartments that are in the walls are now completely removed, being replaced with black void. As well, many walls have been replaced with indestructible counterparts. The vents and the roof remain roughly the same, except the roof now has additional spotlights, and requires a zip line at some points. This basically covers all the major changes to the prison, as you can see a lot has changed, which means you’ll have to use a different escape route.
Preparation
Now that you understand what has changed, you can get an idea on how to escape. One of the obvious choices is the riot escape, but that’s boring so we’ll skip it. Traditionally, you escape by simply walking outside and cutting the fence, but it’ll be a bit more complicated this time around. First things first, the generator. The fences outside are electric, which means we’ll have to disable the generator if we want out. The generator is in a utility room that’s locked behind an orange key. In that utility room, as well, is a ladder that leads to the vents and then the roof. You can also get into the utility room through the vents, although it’ll still require the orange key. Since we don’t want to deal with the contraband detectors, we’ll go through the vents. From the cell we’ll make some cutters, break into the vents, and replace the grate with a fake vent cover. From there, we’ll cut through the slats and access the larger vent system. We’ll have to cut through a few more slats in order to get the utility room. Now that we have a direct path from our cell to the generator, we need to get the orange key. That shouldn’t be too hard and, with the key in your possession, you’re almost ready to escape, the only thing left to get is a rope, a sheet one will work fine. That’s it, you’re ready.
Escaping
With all the preparation from the last chapter, you are completely ready to escape. Here’s what you’ll need:
– Guard Outfit
– Cutters (Sturdy, preferably)
– Orange Key
– Rope (Any kind)
– Yellow Key (Optional)
– Contraband Pouch (Optional)
With the Yellow Key and Contraband Pouch, you won’t need the vent setup mentioned in the last chapter.
Now, you’re ready. Save your game, get your bed dummy, and wait for night. After evening roll call, head back to your cell and wait for lights out. Next, equip your guard outfit and get the supplies ready for your escape. From your cell you’ll go either, through the vents to the utility room, or out of your cell to the utility room. After you turn off the generator, you’ll be on a time limit so move fast. Turn off the generator, go up the ladder twice onto the roof. From the elevated platform, rope down twice onto the ground. From there, run to the fence and cut through it. After the fence is down, it’s home free.
Congratulations! With any luck, you managed to escape without any issues. Although be careful, if Center Perks wanted you back, I wonder how the other prisons may feel about your many escapes.
