Welcome to our 100% achievement guide for PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs! This guide will help you unlock all the achievements in the game. Let’s dive in and start chomping our way to victory!
INTRODUCTION.
STARTER ACHIEVEMENTS.
– “just the start”
(complete training and play an elimination game)
simple as that, although for anything that says “play an elimination game” play elimination, not ranked.
– “going with style”
(customize your pac-man)
simply customize your pac-man. i got this from changing my outfit, but it’s safe to assume doing anything with your pac-man will grant you the achievement.
– “interior decorator”
(customize your maze theme)
in the same area where you customize your pac-man you can change your maze. you can get it with any of the DLC at the start though.
– “delicious”
(eat a fruit)
eat any of the fruits in any of the mazes, they appear in the center of the maze, although sometimes they can spawn through portals if players in spectator voted for it.
– “a real meal”
(chomp a pac-man)
use a power pellet to eat an enemy pac-man, it can be either a real player or a bot.
– “power”
(store and use a power item)
hold down Q or E and walk to a power item, click the button again to use it.
– “cleaning up”
(eat the last dot in a maze)
eat the last dot in any maze, it can be yours or someone elses. if you have a hard time getting it, just stay in your maze and eat all the pellets.
– “extra life”
(earn 10,000 points in a single match of any game mode)
if you stay by yourself in a maze and focus on that you should get enough points for this achievement. generally easy to get by mistake unless you die often.
– “not bad”
(rank top 10 in an elimination game)
stay alive until you make top 10 in an elimination game. not that hard considering most players are bots and bots die easily. also make sure your playing on elimination mode and not ranked. if you have issues, just stay in your maze and stay alive and you should get it eventually.
– “easy-peasy”
(win an elimination game)
should be easy considering most players are bots who will die on their own most of the time. you might get this one by mistake just by staying alive. if you die often, best strategy is stay in your maze and wait out the storm.
SOLO ACHIEVEMENTS.
– “if at first you don’t succeed”
(be the first one eliminated in an elimination game)
pretty easy, just keep running into the ghosts and be the first to die. also best to get “i’m watching” as you get this. bonus tip is the red ghost (blinky) goes after you directly, so just keep running into him.
– “i’m watching”
(spectate and vote for a power item in an elimination game)
spectator mode is a mode you can join when you die, allowing you to spectate and vote items to help the remaining players. this mode only works if any of the remaining pacs are human players. so best to get this with “if at first you don’t succeed” and hope the lobby you were in has at least one human player. also this only works in elimination, not ranked.
– “more power”
(use all power items at least once)
simply eat and use all the different power items that spawn through portals. this also includes the red ones that power up the ghosts. you can get this achievement by accident just by playing the game, but it can also easily be ignored.
– “too slow”
(clear another pac-man’s maze)
go to another pac-man’s maze and be the one to eat the final pellet. it’s easier to do this by going to an empty maze and clearing it alone.
– “out of my way”
(chomp all the ghosts with one power pellet)
use a power pellet to eat all 4 ghosts. this doesn’t work if another pac-man steals a kill, you must be the one to kill all 4 ghosts before the pellets effects were off. also don’t eat another power pellet, it has to be the one you just used. best to bait the ghosts near a pellet and/or abuse the power ups to make it easier.
GROUP ACHIEVEMENTS.
– “is there any more?”
(eat all power pellets in another pac-man’s maze)
not hard to get on your own but a lot easier with friends. simply eat all the power pellets in an enemy maze. not all the pellets, but the power pellets on the corners of the maze. if you try to get it on your own it’s best to go to a maze with a bot, clear it to bring all the pellets back, and abuse power ups and the bots stupidity to get the achievement.
– “party time”
(have five pac-man in your maze at one time (including yourself)
not hard to get on your own but it’s very rare. best to do it with friends and hope a bot or enemy player joins your gangs maze. if your doing it solo, best to follow pac-men and hope you form a group that reaches the number you need. also hold shift to see other mazes in case a maze has more pac-men then the maze you are currently in.
– “lots of points” and “point master”
(earn 50,000 points in a single match of an elimination game / earn 100,000 points in a single match of an elimination game)
can only be done on elimination mode, do not play ranked. very hard to get in a normal game, just do this one with friend’s. with friend’s, everyone stay alive until everyone gets 100,000 points. if any friends die, have them vote good items in spectator mode to assist everyone else. best items are 1-ups and fruits. if your doing this solo best advice is hope another player is not hostile and make sure to never kill them and hope you can get the achievement before either of you die.
– “ultra points combo”
(chomp 4 pac-man with one power pellet)
very VERY hard on solo, don’t try to do it on solo ever, just get friends and team up to get it. everyone go to the same maze, have one guy eat a pellet and have everyone get chomped. kills after respawn are allowed so just 2 other friends are enough, but 3 make it easier. if you REALLY need to do this one solo, best advice is try to join a maze with 3 or 4 other pacs and abuse power ups to kill them with a single power pellet.
– “mine”
(gain ownership of 10 different mazes during an elimination game)
besides grind achievements, this is easily the hardest achievement. can only be done in elimination mode, do not play ranked. the game also does not explain how captures and ownership works so how it works is still weird, but here is the basics.
every maze is owned by a single pac-man, it’s the one every pac starts in. to capture and claim ownership you need to go to an enemy maze and clear the maze as the only pac in it. you can still capture if a different pac-man is in it, but they have a chance of stealing it, so it’s not worth it. however you can’t capture if the original owner is in the maze, either kill them or wait for them to leave. if you clear the maze and the maze turns into what your maze skin is, then you captured it. despite the visual change, if you die alone and the maze turns into yours, that is not a capture, you still need to clear the maze.
the issue is that all the mazes keep disappearing and enemy pac-men will make it hard. this achievement is just straight up impossible to get solo unless the last pac-man alive is Jesus Christ himself and understands your goal. just don’t even try to get it solo, just get friends. it’s possible to get the achievement with just one other player. however if you have more friends, keeping them alive and as backup can give you a safe option if your main helper dies. best tip is use shift to see mazes around you to better understand when a maze is almost empty and pac-less, or how your friends are doing. best way to get the achievement is that you and your friends should spawn next to each other. so just swap with your friend and capture their maze. then you both go hunting for other mazes after that first capture, again make sure to use shift. also kill any enemy pac-man you find, even the bots can ruin your run. once you are your friend are the only ones alive, keep swapping mazes and capturing the mazes over and over until you both get it. other tips is the passages for going through different mazes has a time limit, if it goes down, all empty mazes are removed. so always make sure to swap before it counts down and don’t try to swap too close to the time limit. play it safe and everyone stay alive and you should get it.
GRIND ACHIEVEMENTS.
– “is that all?”
(win 50 elimination games)
do not play ranked, it has to be elimination mode. this is easy considering most players are bots who end up losing most of the time. only issue is it can be grindy, but it is easily the easiest “grinding” achievement.
– “over here” and “i’m feeling dizzy”
(use the warp 10,000 times/ use the warp 100,000 times)
keep going back and fourth on the warp until you get it. best to focus on this one from the start just to get it out of the way, but if you want you can just focus on the others, but using the warp that many times is not common on your own.
– “i want more”
(chomp 1,000 other pac-man)
simply kill any other pac-man you find with power pellets. shield kills or ghost kills don’t count. best to go hunting and go through maze after maze. this is easier with friends sense you can just kill them, but just do it on your own, don’t drag your friends into this torture.
– “traveling”
(traverse through 5,000 mazes)
pretty grindy but a lot better then others. simply keep going back and fourth on the paths that connect mazes. best to get this one third to last sense you will be going through mazes often when hunting other pac-men. if you focus, general advice is just to go through the connection back and fourth.
– “tasty” and “was that food?”
(chomp 1,000 ghosts/ chomp 10,000 ghosts)
pretty grindy but it’s one of the easier ones. best to focus on this one second to last sense ghost kills are not that hard to get just by playing. if you focus, general advice is stay in your maze and keep to yourself.
– “i’m still hungry”, “not full yet”, and “what’s for dessert”
(eat 10,000 dots/ eat 100,000 dots / eat 1,000,000 dots)
simply play the game alot and eat all the dots you can. although best to focus on these ones last sense dots are everywhere and some of the other grind achievements require more specific ways of achieving them. if you focus, general advice is stay in your maze and keep to yourself.
– “a gazillion points”
(earn a lifetime total of 25,000,000 points)
possibly the worst grind achievement, even worst achievement all around. best to go for all of the others first, then keep playing until you get it. worst part is you can’t see your progress sense it’s a “secret” achievement. when you only focus on this one just try to go for points by eating ghosts, players, and fruits.
OVERACHIEVER.
(complete all achievements)
complete all the achievements. the guide you just read explains the best strategy, but heres a quick explanation. get the starters, then go solo. after that it’s best to grab some friends to get the others. from there just focus on grinding and once you get everything, the achievement should be yours.
– this game is easily the hardest pac-man game to 100% (at least on steam). some of these achievements are just evil, but hopefully this guide helps you understand how to tackle them better or form your own strategies. i hope this guide helped, have a good one dear reader.
