I’ve divided this guide into two parts parts:
1. Where I describe all achievements in chronological order of obtaining them. However, it is important to remember that progress in some of them is spread over a longer period of time, so even if an achievement is obtained at the end of the game, we make progress in it before several that we will obtain faster.

2. Full description of the game’s passage, or a guide on how to complete the game in 354 steps. In it, we will find not only everything necessary to obtain each achievement, but also the location of all chests in the game(not only those required for achievements) and optional collectibles.

Achievement will be unlocked automatically after defeating the first boss (actually a mini-boss) in the game – Red Tiger Elite: Baichang. We will face him at the end of the location Apeman Facility (Elevator).

This is definitely the easiest boss in the game, Baichang is just a slightly larger version of the basic soldiers. During my playthrough, he died in 1 attempt.

There will be several opportunities to earn this achievement during your encounters with Shanhai 9000 throughout the game. To earn it, you must ask the robot for the data chip and then, instead of paying 400 Jin, forcefully rip it out of its head.

The first such encounter will probably take place at the entrance to the Pagoda in the location Power Reservoir (Central).

Ripping the chip out of any robot’s head in the game will block the Repurposed achievement, so we either have to start the game over after getting it (if we hurry up, we can return to this place very quickly) or load a save (after copying it earlier) from before ripping the data out of the robot.

Yingzhao is the first “main” boss of the game. We meet him in the location Radiant Pagoda, which is the finale of the section in Power Reservoir.

He is the first serious test of parrying in this game (although we can still defeat him traditionally quite efficiently), which is also the best way to defeat him. The fight has 2 phases, in the second the boss becomes much more aggressive and has more attacks impossible to block with a normal block. In my playthrough he was defeated after 7 attempts.

Goumang is the second Sol that we have to defeat in the game. We meet her in Agrarian Hall, the last location during our visit to Greenhouse.

In fact, we don’t fight her, but her two Jiangshi soldiers. When we defeat one of them, Goumang will appear on the battlefield for a moment to bring him back to life, and this will be the only moment when you can damage her.

It is best to attack two soldiers more or less equally, then “kill” the first one and attack Goumang, and when he returns to his throne, knock down the second one and repeat this until the end of the fight. In my opinion, she is the easiest of the “main” bosses in the game. In my attempt, she fell on the second try.

During your first visit to Lake Yaochi Ruins you will pass through a room with bells, where you will meet a mysterious person. From her you will receive Ancient Sheet Music, which you give to Shuanshuan in Four Seasons Pavilion.

After defeating Goumang, the continuation of this event should be available in the Pavilion. As a result, we get Ancient Penglai Ballad and can return to the room with the bells to solve the puzzle. The correct order in which we must ring the bells is 2-5-1-4-3.

The third Sol we will face in the game is Yanlao. The fight takes place in Yangu Hall, the final location of the section in Warehouse, which we get to from Factory.

Similar to Goumang, we don’t fight Yanlao directly either. We fight Sky Rending Claw, which Yanlao controls (the fight resembles the final battle with Dr. Wily from Mega Man). The boss has two phases, and the fight itself has a lot of platforming elements and laser avoidance. When the robot is aiming at us to shoot, you can point the crosshair at him to stun him for a moment.

In my opinion, along with Goumang, Yanlao is the easiest Sol fight in the game, in my case I defeated him in my 2nd try.

After that, as a result of the story events, we will be trapped in a cell, we have to get out of prison. First, we get through the stealth section, and after recovering the equipment, we go to the top floor to get out. In the last room, a boss fight awaits us – Kanghui.

This is a 3-phase fight, when we take half of the boss’s health bar, containers with liquid will open on both sides of the arena. We have to hack it to take the other half of the opponent’s health.

During the first phase, the boss creates smaller enemies, “dogs” and “bees”. The second phase looks identical, but in addition to the previously mentioned enemies, prison guards also appear. It is best to control the crowd with our bow. The last, third phase is the same as the second, but enemies are created much faster than before. After taking half of the third bar, we finish off the boss and escape from prison.

The first achievement related to Shuanshuan that we will get. After giving him two items, Multi-tool Kit and Tiandao Academy Periodical, we have to complete several side events in the Pavilion (the most important are building a sofa for Yiand unlocking the ability to change the weather in our hideout).

Some time later (for me it was after escaping prison and getting an item that allows teleporting to any Root Node from our base) we unlock an event at our 3D printer. There we talk to Shuanshuan and Kuafu, buy a coin from the printer, and then sell it in the same place for a much higher price.

In order to even be able to do this achievement, we have to bring Shennong to the Pavilion. We can find him in the Yinglong Canal location at the very bottom, under the Root Node. There we talk to him and give him one poison to heal him. After that, he will be permanently available in our hideout. However, if we don’t find him for too long, he will wander to the Pavilion on his own.

If we gave Shennong at least one poison, after escaping from prison we will be able to continue his storyline. We talk to him and agree to help the villagers. We receive Abandoned Mines Access Token, thanks to which we will open the previously closed passage in the mine.

In Abandoned Mines open the passages with the key, then go through the Underground Cave and 95th Livestock Pen locations, then get to Livestock Harvesting Platform. Fight the boss there – Red Tiger Elite: Lieguan, then go through the unlocked door.

Get to the Galactic Dock location and free the imprisoned villagers. After all that, we get the achievement.

In the Factory (Production Area) location, hack two guards and then go to the newly opened room. There we find the Gene Eradicator, which we must use before fighting the boss of this location.

After entering the final location in Factory, i.e. Shengwu Hall, in the room on the left turn on the machine and apply Gene Eradicator to it.

We have to apply Gene Eradicator before starting the boss fight, otherwise we will block the possibility of getting this achievement.

In Shengwu Hall open the door to the chamber and start fighting the fourth main boss – Jiequan. If we used Gene Eredicator earlier, he will be slightly weakened, which will make the fight easier in the first phase of the fight.

This is definitely the most difficult boss so far and the first serious test of our skills. When he decides to activate the shield, we have to destroy it as quickly as possible (either with a bow or a charged attack) so that he cannot heal.

In the second phase, Jiequan becomes much more aggressive and gains the ability to teleport. You have to be especially careful with the attack, where he releases two fire tornadoes[/b] on both sides of the arena. During my game, I defeated him in 15 attempts.

In the location Cortex Center connect to the mind (Soulscape) of Lady Ethereal and fight her. She is the fifth main boss in the game and in my opinion the second most difficult, it took me 16 attempts to defeat her.

The boss has 3 phases, in the first we fight the real Lady Ethereal and we have the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with most of her basic attacks. In the second phase she creates two copies of herself that will attack us, but we will not deal any damage to them. We can only attack the real Lady Ethereal.

In the third phase the boss creates six copies, which gives us a 1v7 fight. We have to focus mainly on parrying and attack the boss when she creates a big red ball in the middle of the battlefield. Parry two claw attacks from the left and right, then quickly dodge to the left or right and use the talisman on Lady Ethereal. This is the best way to damage her in the third phase.

If, up until the fight with Lady Ethereal, we gave Shuanshuan all the items that could be found at that moment(13) and started all the side events related to them, then after returning to the Pavilion we should unlock the next event, and after starting it achieve a deep relationship with Shuanshuan.

If the achievement has not been unlocked, collect more items until we build our relationship to the highest level. In the entire game we can find 17 items for Shuanshuan, the location of all of them is:

In the location Grotto of Scriptures (East) find Red Guifang Clay and bring it to Shuanshuan.

Rest and start a new event. After watching it, rest again and see that Shuanshuan is already making large clay vases. Destroy the largest one and get the achievement.

We have to destroy the large vase before Shuanshuan finishes making a gift for Kuafu. If not, we won’t be able to do it.

Here it’s simple, we need to get all the Jade Stones in the game. There are 28 of them, below is the location of each one:

In Grotto of Scriptures we need to find 3 murals that are hidden in tombs. Two of them are in Grotto of Scriptures (East), and the last one is in Grotto of Scriptures (West). To get to them in each of them we need to complete a parry test. This is done in a similar way to overpowering guards that can be hacked. Here we need to hack several of them in a row without making a mistake.

Once we have passed all three pairing tests, take the lower path to the left of the elevator in Grotto of Scriptures (West) and fight a mini-boss there – Spirit Keeper: Cixing.

After the fight, enter the unlocked tomb and use the passage to Limitless Realm. Talk to the Lear and receive the achievement.

The sixth Sol we will face is Ji. She is located in Ancient Stone Pillar, the final location in Grotto of Scriptures.

The boss has 2 phases, and the fight itself has a very interesting divination mechanic. Every once in a while Ji will rise up in the middle of the arena and start spinning 3 hoops. Depending on which hoop we pair, the boss will make such a move. One of the hoops is always throwing out a bottle with healing or bow ammo. If we choose the hoop accurately and efficiently, we will have a lot of help.

The fight is one of the easier ones in the second half of the game, but it is very enjoyable and atmospheric. In my playthrough, I beat it in my 5th attempt.

Another achievement related to Shuanshuan. We need to complete the task in the Pavilion related to growing a tree. To do this, we first need to find Unknown Seed in Greenhouse. We give it to Shuanshuan and wait for events to unfold.

When we are in Factory (Great Hall) in the room in the upper right corner, after solving the puzzle (left side of the room) we get GM Fertilizer, which we give to Shuanshuan. The tree will grow, and we wait further.

And finally, when we visit Sky Tower and find the second GM Fertilizer there, return to Shuanshuan, give the item and after starting the event we see that the tree has already grown completely and we receive the achievement.

In Empyrean District (Passages) from the Root Node we go right, then through a narrow passage above the water, where we have to go through a short platforming sequence until we reach a place that can be hacked with Mystic Nymph, which will open the passages to the large robot.

Then we return to the Root Node and go to the place with the large waterfall. We turn off the water flow and start the fight with the miniboss – The Great Miner: Tianshou. We have to defeat him using the robot to which we have just unlocked the passage.

We have to defeat the miniboss with the robot. If not, we lose the chance to get the achievement.

We have to defeat every side mini-boss in the game. There are 13 mini-bosses in the entire game, below is a list of each one. No. 1 and 11 are defeated during the story, so we don’t count them.

I’m not sure if boss no. 9 counts towards this achievement, because the location doesn’t count him as a mini-boss, but if you complete the game 100%, you’ll still have to fight him, so it won’t make much difference.

Being in the Empyrean District (Living Area) location, we will get to the second room with bells in the game. This means that we have another puzzle. The clue to solving it is the painting with suns in the room above. The correct order is 2-5-4-1-2. Once we have dealt with the puzzle, enter through the open door, start the machine and receive the achievement.

Similar to the Stonks! achievement, here we also need to collect two items first, the Multi-tool Kit and the Tiandao Academy Periodical. This is basically a continuation of the same plot, so it makes sense.

After watching the Shuanshuan Coin event, we have to wait a bit while we continue with other Pavilion-related quests. For me, the side event with the fortune-telling machine unlocked right after I entered Empyrean District (Sanctum) for the first time, and I had also turned in 16/17 items and completed all the events available so far.

Providing data chips for the Shanhai 9000 is not of major importance to this achievement. The only important thing is that while collecting the chips, you do not destroy any robots.

If we take the data chip from any peaceful Shanhai by ripping it out of his head, we will permanently block access to this achievement.

To get this achievement we need to deliver all types of poison to Shennong, which is 15 , thus improving our health bar to the maximum possible level. Below is a list of all poisons in the game:

To get this achievement, we have to finish Shennong’s storyline. To even think about getting it, we have to advance his storyline far enough. After defending the village (achievement The Calvary’s Here), give Shennong the poison received in this quest.

During the next visit he will tell us that the village has a problem again. Go there and complete the task (obtain the antidote from the Yellow Snake).

After giving Shennong all 15 poisons(achievement I’m Yi, I Have a Drinking Problem he will disappear from the Pavilion and we will learn from Shuanshuan that he went to save the villagers.

Go to Galactic Dock, where we have to fight off several waves of enemies. After everything, watch a cutscene and get the achievement.

The fight with the seventh main boss of the game – The Fengs: ♥♥♥♥ & Nuwa, takes place in Nobility Hall, the last location of the section in Empyrean District.

The fight has 2 phases, in the first we fight ♥♥♥♥ himself and in the second he will be joined by Nuwa, who supports her brother with various area attacks.

In my opinion, this is one of the best fights in the game. Avoiding constant attacks in the second phase can be satisfying. During my playthrough, the siblings died after the 4th attempt.

We need to unlock all skills in the game, there are 35 of them, some of them are unlocked through story progression (e.g. double jump), but most of them must be bought with experience points gained during the game. Depending on the skill, it may cost 1, 2 or 3 points.

In practice, this requires us to collect all Tao Fruit in the game (theoretically, it can be done without them, but then you have to be prepared for a huge grind). There are 3 types of these fruits in the game: regular – gives 1 skill point, greater – gives 2 skill points and twin – gives 4 skill points. Below are the locations of all 18 pieces:

Solution to the puzzle (right side):

To get this achievement, we need to maximally upgrade the capacity of our bow and upgrade all types of arrows to the maximum level – for this, we will need Dark Steel acquired during exploration. The bow can be upgraded at Kuafu.

The capacity of the bow can be upgraded three times, the only requirement is the appropriate amount of Jin. Each upgrade will cost more and more (1000, 2500 and 4000).

We can upgrade basic arrows as soon as we receive them, but to upgrade the other two types, we first have to find them. Here’s where they’re located:

Each arrow can be upgraded twice, to level S (for 1000 Jin) and to level X (for 2500 Jin). In total, we will need 6 pieces of Dark Steel, below are the locations of all of them:

After crossing the point of no return we reach the Tianhuo Research Institute. With the help of Mystic Nymph unlock data log #0301, then watch it in the first machine we passed.

We have to watch the recording before reaching the end of this location, if we advance the plot too much we will lose the opportunity to play it.

To get this achievement, we need to complete Shanhai 9000’s quest. The first thing we need to do is deliver all 9 data chips to him, while also triggering the related side events in the Pavilion. Below are the locations of all the chips:

While escaping from Tiandao Research Center on the bottom floor, go all the way to the left and find our Shanhai 9000. Defeat the enemy, collect the photo and complete the quest.

For Shanhai to appear here, we must give him all the chips before crossing the point of no return.

To get this achievement, we must complete Chiyou’s quest. First, when we meet him in Factory (Great Hall), we must unlock the bridge to Outer Warehouse for him.

In Boundless Repository, after escaping from Yanlao, talk to Chiyou.

If we bought the entire original assortment from Chiyou, he will ask us to obtain the Soul-Severing Blade in the Apeman Facility (Depths). Defeat the mini-boss Celestial Spectre: Shangui there and obtain the blade, which then give to him.

Once we buy all the items from Chiyou’s second assortment, he’ll ask us to get him a Firestorm Ring from the Inner Warehouse. Defeat the mini-boss Celestial Enforcer: Tieyan there and deliver the required item.

The last encounter takes place during the escape from Tiandao Research Center. Go to the room at the top left, where we find Chiyou. Talk to him one last time, then fight Xingtian a second time. After defeating him, we complete the quest and receive the achievement.

For Chiyou to appear here, we must give him the two required items before crossing the point of no return.

In the entire game, there are 192 treasures to find, which is 45 notes(database entries) and 147 items found during exploration(in addition to items to be given away).

Below is a table with the number of collectibles in all 44 locations, in the order they are visited in the walkthrough (not all collectibles will be obtainable during the first visit to a given location). Details on how to obtain each collectible can be found in the game walkthrough:

In the location Shengwu Hall there is a bug on the game map. The game says that there are no treasures to collect there, but in fact there are 3 treasures to collect there.

In the location Ancient Stone Pillar there is also a bug. The map says that there is one note to collect there, but in fact there is none. The game will count collecting treasure as collecting a note.

If we miss a collectible and go through the point of no return, we won’t be able to go back for it.

Eigong is the eighth main and final boss of the game. The fight with master of Yi is definitely the hardest fight in the entire game, all the previous ones were just a warm-up for her.

In my game, it took me 53 attempts to defeat her, which is also my record in all games (the previous record – 45 attempts to the final boss of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree was set the day before…).

Depending on which ending we chose, Eigong has 2 or 3 phases. Choosing the true ending, the fight has 3 phases, and the last part of the fight is definitely the hardest.

To even think about winning this fight, we have to have perfect parrying skills, Eigong’s attacks are incredibly fast, and if they hit us, they deal huge damage (especially her crimson attacks).

Below is the fight with Eigong while doing the true ending:

True ending of the game, to unlock it we have to fulfill 3 conditions:

1. We have good relations with Shuanshuan – achievement Gimme Gimme.

2. We obtained the Rhizomatic Bomb from a tomb in Grotto of Scriptures (West), we enter this tomb as part of obtaining the achievement Across Time and Space.

3. We finished Shennong’s quest, the achievement Passing on the Torch.

If we have met all 3 conditions, then when choosing the ending – returning to the Pavilion after escaping from Tiandao Research Center – we will be given the option to choose one of two options. To get the true ending, we choose the Apeman option.

It’s worth making a copy of your save at this point, so that you can load it afterward and quickly unlock the second ending. The save file can be found in AppData\LocalLow\RedCandleGames\NineSols.

After the final story cutscene, you’ll receive an achievement for the chosen ending.

Personally, I find this ending much more interesting, and it fits better into the story told throughout the game.

If we don’t complete any of the conditions and go past the point of no return, we will lose the ability to choose the true ending. Additionally, if we first choose the normal ending and don’t make a backup copy of the game save, we will have to repeat the entire game to get the second ending.

To earn this achievement, when starting a new game, you must select Standard Mode and play the entire game on it.

This is the default difficulty level of Nine Sols and the original vision of the developers. I highly recommend playing on this difficulty level for everyone, because this is when the game shows its true potential.

If we don’t choose this difficulty level at the beginning of the game, we’ll have to repeat the whole game again to get this achievement.

The normal ending of the game is always available, if we do not meet the conditions of the true ending it will simply be selected automatically.

However, if we have the possibility of achieving the true ending and want to see the normal ending, during the conversation with Kuafu choose the option related to Solorians.

It’s worth making a copy of your save at this point, so that you can load it afterward and quickly unlock the second ending. The save file can be found in AppData\LocalLow\RedCandleGames\NineSols.

After the final story cutscene, you’ll receive an achievement for the chosen ending.

10. When we get to the end, Red Tiger Elite: Baichang, the first boss (actually a mini-boss) in the game, will come out of the elevator. After defeating him, we will get the first achievement and the first Jade Stone in the game.

13. In the machine upstairs we can buy 3 more Jade Stones and increase the charges of the healing pipe. Additionally, we can sell components found during the game here.

14. We repair Shanhai 9000 for 100 Jin, to whom we can bring core fragments of other robots, thanks to which we will be able to see the exact number of collectibles in a given area.

We will encounter a new mechanic – mechanical guards, who after countering we will be able to hack, which will allow us to open various mechanisms.
