In Max Payne 3, to achieve 100% here is what we need to do:
- 1. Complete in a total of 3 playthroughs.
– Collect all collectables and doing miscellaneous. - 2. Finish all SP Grinds before other modes.
- 3. Play on Arcade for various modes.
- 4. Play on New York Minute difficulty and lastly New York Minute Hardcore at a new walkthrough (The HARDEST of this game so be ready).
– Probably can do this last after all achievements are finished. - 5. Do all online achievements
We can unlock all singleplayer related achievements before the end of five playthroughs, this follows: [HARD] > [HARDCORE] > [OLD SCHOOL], the old school difficulty being our third playthrough. The remaining two playthroughs are: New York Minute > New York Minute Hardcore. We also can’t forget about the heavy amount of collectables, miscellaneous, and guns to use, which is a total of 26 Firearms, 84 Golden Gun Parts, 65 Clues including 5 Tourists, and lastly 28 singleplayer grinds.
There are 56 SP Grinding, breaking them down will be 28 collectable, 28 challenges and this will come to play later after we earn all singleplayer achievements, we get to chapter select anywhere and plus it’s cumulative, at your own pace try to earn them anytime.
Chapter Select also lets you play through the chapter again while you can use the advantage of it to collect missable achievements, and you can practise them or just do New York Minute non-hardcore and keep playing each chapter if you wish to do so. I won’t list every single SP Grinds as it can get cluttered and use almost all character limits but just keep checking I will only list some of the 3rd and 4th stage of SP Grind which is gold and platinum but I will try to list spots to grind on.
Be more methodical in this approach of gunfights, you cannot rush through and expect a good result this is why we learn the game so play what you want but doing that while aiming most achievements will be essential. Additionally, when doing on Hard difficulty, while that happens you can turn on Free Aim option since you need to learn the game, this is why there are achievements for it as well as our training ground journey for the later New York Minute Arcade mode, especially Hardcore which I will be covering that in the end section.
Whether or not you did this last is up to you but the 100% requirement is to beat the game one last time in New York Minute Hardcore. This mode is literally, in no joke, makes you sit through one game all the while trying not to die, mess up, racing against time, and of course be good at the game. I will explain this further in the end section so for now we hone our skills through trials and errors, striving for perfection or having a decent aim, and making sure we use our painkillers wisely because otherwise if we die then tough luck you start on Chapter 1 and yes there is no checkpoints on Hardcore (not to confuse the other non-hardcore New York Minute mode). This is not for the faint of heart so don’t say I did not warn you.
We should be doing online achievements, this guide will contain a way to get through the tedious part of the game so bring along your friends and do it. Online achievements are also straight-forward but require the help with your friends or strangers so either comment in this guide or on your other public or private session sites. There will be one grindy online achievements so be ready for that, which means you will be able to use Score Attack for Lv. 50 grind.
- Hard Lock: When aiming, reticle will be strongly guided to focus on enemies
- Soft Lock: When aiming, reticle will be lightly guided towards enemies
- Free Aim: Target assist is deactivated
Free Aim: I mentioned free aim on this section, this is togglable and is considered essential to practise for the worst yet to come, you can do this without stressing yourself at the final playthrough though you will suffer just keep practising while playing through the game. For you, you can turn this on if you want to practise your reflexes, and having free aim ON for our first playthrough is okay there are a few achievements that are categorised as [FREE AIM], keep the brackets in mind. Some can be missable so reload checkpoint if you miss them or be quick so you won’t need to do chapter selection on them, otherwise do it after completing the game.

Before you start!: In Single-Player, you will be doing Single-Player Grinds and there are 28 total of them. These will be a set of challenges and there are four tiers to do, for example, you must have a total of 25,000 rounds shot to reach Platinum, so it was Bronze > Gold > Silver > Platinum. We will be doing these on our clean-ups and Chapter Select then once that is done we do the New York Minute walkthrough. I will mention these I earn a Platinum tier on any walkthrough so watch out for that but I won’t miss out putting those in the post section with all lists to consider. Also, press the key to disable attachments.
There may be crashes and bugs so watch out for those while playing through.

To begin the game select on our first playthrough at hard, do not forget about your single player grinds, there is an in-game checklist of those so keep track on them. Next we should finally play the game and then watch out for many things which I will list here. Single Player Grinds on the mark where I completed them will be found anywhere here so your grinds can be earned differently but you might do so differently, we will worry about that soon I will explain it on the farther section.
We also want to chip away each counts such as meleeing and headshots, the others can wait so we play a lot of this game to clear what we needed. This means we need to do the same on other Grinding challenges. Make sure to combine each grinds at once so like for example each class of firearms used with headshot kills combined it should happen in small steps to conquer the tedious grinding later. For the Single Player Grinds Summary I, go to Part 08.
Avoid getting shot so the tutorial prompt button won’t show up for our painkiller achievement.

Golden Gun Part #1 – PT92 (1/3): Past the door from the enemies you killed then walk to the corner of the ground near the window wall.
Clue #1 – Celebrity Magazine: Before the balcony outside, find the coffee brown table where the magazine is your first clue, examine it.
Golden Gun Part #2 – PT92 (2/3): After the elevator, you will go to the next area where straight is the gold part is on the corner right but take care of the enemies and grab it next.
Golden Gun Part #3 – PT92 (3/3): After opening the garage door via button on the parking garage, head to your right at the corner where the golden part is.
You will start to immediately noticing your gun has a golden coax, this is a good thing. Remember, like clues check your menu if you missed certain things.

Get 6 Kills While Diving Through The VIP Window [FREE AIM]

Achievement #2: When you charge through the window against someone you grab, you have much time and opportunity to shoot 6 enemies, make sure you trigger the bullet cam. Load in Chapter 2 – Checkpoint 2 if you miss this.
Golden Gun Part #4 – .38 Revolver (1/3): Go and climb up by pressing the [E] key to the DJ Booth after the Out The Window Achievement for a golden part.
Golden Gun Part #5 – Mini-30 (1/3): After a cutscene, proceed to the other side where you were from the beginning, go behind and near the barstander is a golden part.
Clue #3 – Flyer: Near where you picked up the golden gun part is a flyer on the bar table.
Clue #4 – Dead Soccer Star: On the same area, inspect Claudio’s body.
Golden Gun Part #6 – .38 Revolver (2/3): Following the story, you will find another room with dark but purple colour theme, take care of some enemies then go to your left on stairs which leads to the door and onto a DJ Booth where a golden part is there on the ground.
SP Grinds #1 – Slow Dive 3: Where you go up left to the stair, this is only possible to hit 7 seconds which means we will later find a high place to hit 8 seconds of shootdodge time
Clue #5 / Tourist #1 – Ex-Cop #1: Same restroom place where you will be finding your first tourist encounter, keep this in mind as we see him later on through the few chapters, he will be inside the middle stall door a green handle for you to interact. Since we found a person inside this counts as a clue.
Clue #6 – Torn Dress Piece: After the restroom conversation, near the stall door where the clue is a sink area with a torn fabric.
Clue #7 – (Portuguese) Newspaper: At the kitchen, you will take care of the enemies in there. After that, you go to left counter for the newspaper.
Golden Gun Part #7 – Mini-30 (2/3): Next place is a Sushi restaurant, go to the central circular area where by the middle on front entering is a black ledge of seats facing away from it.
I found out with my Micro 9mm I can shoot infinitely and the counter will still go up for Bullet River Grind, this is also great if you wanna start doing it. Keep this in mind when we are doing a slowmo sections with infinite ammo.
Golden Gun Part #8 – Mini-30 (3/3): First, land on the rooftop section after the helicopter sequence then as you run down the stairs look for the door on your right ground floor to which is a room and the golden gun part is near the glass-walled window.
Golden Gun Part #9 – .38 Revolver (3/3): You find yourself on the massive lit sign where a metal catwalk platform is, go forward to the end on the corner where a golden part is.
Clue #8 – Giovanna’s Necklace: Next room where Giovanna enters and the enemy you killed is, go down the stairwell 3 floors until you find her necklace which glows purple.

Clue #9 – Picture of Victor: After the cutscene of Max being treated, take care of the enemies and after that you should turn back to see a room with a picture on the wall.
Clue #10 – Blood Stained: Do not go and press the green button to the elevator yet, go straight to the door with blood stain smeared.
Golden Gun Part #10 – M10 (1/3): After Raul interrogates the guy, proceed to take care of all enemies and get inside the room that is a studio, around is the corner of a golden gun part
Golden Gun Part #11 – M82A1 (1/3): After the fight with the newer enemy types and Passos moving from cutscene, turn around to find a mural with the golden gun part on it.
Clue #11 – Blood Stained Hallway: On the hallway of food court area, look at the pillar with the blood stained, it’s near the sauce dispenser.
Golden Gun Part #12 – M10 (2/3): Passos will now protect you with the sniper rifle while you walk to the designated point, turn left downstairs to find a golden gun part on the corner.
Golden Gun Part #13 – M10 (3/3): Take care of all the guys, you will find the next golden gun part on the seats near the window view of the playing field below.
Clue #12 – Soccer Star Memorial: Basically, you will find a memorial place of Claudio, examine it.
SP Grinds #1 – Slow Dive 4: In the upper stands, you can earn this easily, just shootdodge to your left until you hit the ground to which this will be our first grind completed.
Golden Gun Part #14 – M82A1 (2/3): At the downside to find the golden gun part around the wall while you are still at the seats.

Achievement #3: In the sniping section, you will cover Passos and 14 paramilitary guys will be coming to him with perfect aim. Otherwise, let him die doing nothing or shoot him and try again but do not restart level. Load Chapter 3 – Checkpoint 12 or 13 if you want.
Golden Gun Part #15 – M82A1 (3/3): After the cutscene, proceed further up and turn right forward to find the golden gun part at the corner.

Clue #15 – Brewer’s Journal: On the table near the TV where the explosives are, there is a journal to examine.

Achievement #6: Trigger the cutscene that makes you jump from the rickety boat and make sure you have one SMG on your right hand, shoot from right upwards all the way to the left as you point your crosshair to all 7 enemies. After you hit the ground, you will get the achievement. If you miss this, load Chapter 5 – Checkpoint 7. Also if you miss doing this immediately restart from checkpoint.
Golden Gun Part #27 – Micro 9mm (3/3): Go up the stairs after you killed all enemies, go to the very end to find the golden gun part.
Clue #19 – Branco Family Photo: Get inside to the left room where you will find a table with a clue.
Clue #20 – Newspaper: You will find this clue inside another building on the ground floor, head to the nearest table with some bed on the ground.
Clue #21 – Nightclub Floor Plans: Turn to the room inside, a blueprint is on the table for you to examine.
Golden Gun Part #28 – LMG (1/3): Proceed still on the ground floor through the opened doorway, you will find this golden gun part at the right cargo container.
Golden Gun Part #29 – LMG (2/3): After Max pushes the metal gate door, go straight to the small building to find the golden gun part inside near the barrels.
Golden Gun Part #30 – LMG (3/3): Activate the walkway, proceed to fight off against enemies and while walking through the docks, there will be a golden gun part later near the metal fence on the other side.
SP Grinds #10 – If It Ain’t Broke 1: The .30 LMG due to there not being Machine Gun medals this is considered part of the Rifle class.

Achievement #8: This is done in the room where before entering the next door with the IT guy, you need to shoot down all the models. You can also still examine one of the clue you destroyed so nothing is missed. Load in Chapter 6 – Checkpoint 3 if you miss this.
Golden Gun Part #32 – MD-97L (2/3): You will watch few cutscenes and after that, immediately turn back where you saw the golden gun part earlier on the small waterfall.
Clue #25 – School Pictures: Move towards the hallway to find a photo on your left of Rodrigo, Victor, and Marcelo.
Golden Gun Part #33 – MD-97L (3/3): After a fight on the main entrance area, you will see an architectural model display to which a golden part is inside it.
Clue #26 – Dead IT Guy: After the bomb was set off, you will move slowly towards to the area you’ve been. Kill one guy and examine the dead body of the IT guy.
It should be noted that you can farm melee kills in this area but I will explain further the farming spots for all grinds later.

Clue #27 / Tourist #2 – Ex-Cop #2: You will find four people who’ll scatter and after that proceed forward to the left where you will find a familiar guy from the club. If you forgot to meet him in chapter II then do this later.
Clue #28 – Photo of Serrano: Just when you kick the table you will be fighting some guys, shortly after you will find the photo where you are on the ground.
Golden Gun Part #34 – Sawn-off (1/3): Go straight inside the restroom, the golden gun part will be on the ground.
Clue #29 / Tourist #3 – Businessman #1: Go straight but not exiting, to your right is a room where a guy is hiding under the bed. Note: You can kill him but restart if you did.
Clue #30 – Lower Gang Spray Tag: Fight your way through until you reach the metal fence, on your left is a blue double door and a graffiti sprayed on the wall to examine.
SP Grinds #16 – Arms Dealer 4: While reloading checkpoints attempting this achievement, you will earn this platinum medal, making it our second. If you want to clean some grinds here then feel free to.

Achievement #9: When you are in a bullet time while being pulled by a chain, you have a chance to kill the following people:
- 4 on the ground from where you were initially.
- 2 on the next floor near you.
- 1 on the stairs up running.
- 2 on the metal platform you are about to land to.
If you get all 9 killed and land on the last floor you get the achievement unlock, if not then load Chapter 7 – Checkpoint 9. This is by far the annoying achievement make sure to single tap fire with either pistol or smg.
Golden Gun Part #35 – Sawn-off (2/3): Fight through until you reach to the thug kicking the blue door, to your left is a golden gun part.
Golden Gun Part #36 – SPAS-15 (1/3): Move forward to the otherside, behind the three barrels is a golden gun part.
Golden Gun Part #37 – SPAS-15 (2/3): Reach to the wrecked car to find a golden gun part on the right side.
Clue #31 – Middle Gang Spray Tag: Shortly after, go to the wall where a second gang tag is.

Golden Gun Part #53 – M4 Super 90 (1/3): Turn behind to find a white walled room with containers inside, a golden gun part is on the ground.

Golden Gun Part #74 – MPK (2/3): After taking care of two UFE officers inside the workroom, go inside the men’s washroom where at the shower area is a golden gun part on the corner.

We should be starting a new walkthrough two times, just start a new game and select the one difficulty that’s available. Basically the difficulty may increase a bit but you should be good to go and of course keep track of your Single Player Grinds. Hardcore is harder than Hard but slowly clean up the SP Grinds and achievements.
The difference from Hard is you getting shot 1-3 times to be in Last Man Standing, although harder it should be manageable with enough painkillers that are unchanged on locations so grab them and reload checkpoint if you mess up. Remember to make your shots count and save few painkillers you will die a lot but there is still checkpoints. Try to grind Shotgun kills and last man standing as such so you won’t need to worry about it.
General Tips:
- When you find yourself in Last Man Standing, if there are two enemies near each other then kill them, two birds with one stone.
- The difficulty encourages you to play conservatively or take it slow since you will die faster if reckless, take your time and watch enemies’ behaviour before exposing yourself too much.
- While dying commonly try to get certain grinds finished, remember they are cumulative even after dying many times.
- Save as much painkillers and bullet time if you can, you will die a lot which makes it longer to complete the game.
- As always, move freely when bullet cam occurs and Max is talking.
- Unless you knew this, just press the key to disable sight, laser aiming, and change firemode.
- Use the third person shooter cover trick as they call it the uncharted cover trick, meaning you are behind cover but your crosshair’s on the target and make sure to not have Max aiming the guns both upward but one only.
SP Grinds #25 – Head Master 4: If you’ve been busy hitting 1000 headshots you will earn this platinum medal, making it our fifth.
SP Grinds #4 – Take Your Time 3: 500 kills in Bullet time, it can be from shootdodging.
SP Grinds #7 – Keep It Simple 3: 500 Hand Gun Kills.
Take the time to grind shotgun kills here in the garage if you have a shotgun until it’s enough for you, shotguns as you saw are uncommon so use this opportunity which is along with dying a lot can be done so.
SP Grinds #8 – Shotgun Dues 3: 250 Shotgun Kills.
SP Grinds #24 – Bloodbath 4: 2500 Kills. This will come next no matter what, making it our sixth grind.

Achievement #27: If you miss this achievement now’s the chance. This is easily done while in Chapter 5 – Checkpoint 14 or Chapter 10 though chapter 10 is the best way to get this achievement, you can watch the video in how this is played. Just keep firing and watch out for overheating hence burst firing. I got this done with close to 30 seconds on clock remaining and more than 30 enemies but close to kill and after reaching the end of the shooting sequence you will unlock this achievement.
SP Grinds #27 – Back From The Dead 4: 250 Last Man Standings Survived, if you let yourself be in LMS you will earn this platinum medal, making it a seventh complete.
SP Grinds #28 – Cam Lover 3: 500 Bullets Cam Watched.
SP Grinds #14 – The Turtle 4: 1000 Cover Kills, this will be natural to earn. Also our eighth grind to complete.

Achievement #28: If you miss this achievement now’s the chance, just wait for an enemy to come to you and when a rooftop shakes the enemy should be on your view then use a Bullet Time or Shootdodge depending on your scenario to shoot the enemy on his head but I get this achievement just using a hand gun in a matter of hectic shooting.

Also you can grind these on Arcade but that’s optional I personally like to do them on the main game instead before Arcade.

Achievement #31: There are two ways to earn this achievement. In here, we will be on this area where the people are shooting at us on pier and building, do not shoot the building yet we wait until there is enough standing and then activate bullet time, we must shoot the 3 on the most right pier where we pass them then we shoot the last 7 on the left building where we unlock the achievement when the building is about to explode but watch out from your machine gun overheating also. If you miss this, load Chapter 5 – Checkpoint 15 on easy difficulty.

Another one is to load in Chapter 10 – Checkpoint 12 on easy difficulty. Shoot first the grenade few meters up away from them, wait until your bullet time meter is full and count how many before you shoot. This is far easier since you have enough time to shoot 10 enemies.

Here is a quick run-down of needed pre-requisite before doing all the other work in progress grinds, and you’d be grinding from Bronze to Platinum in one chapter which is good news.
You can load Chapter 14 if you miss most grinds and other chapters for these type of grinds but you will know the locations of such like weapons and where to grind them. Choose one to grind as many times until you finish.

- Chapter 8 – Checkpoint 4: Checkpoint 5 is where the multiple guys tries to shoot Passos but the game won’t give us a second gun hence checkpoint 4 is the start. Save as many ammo just in case until you reach to the next checkpoint to shootdodge kill all enemies.

- This will naturally be earned.

SP Grinds #2 – Artful Dodger: 50 Minutes.
- Chapter 8 – Checkpoint 4: Begin the shootdodge back and forth at the top to the bottom near the checkpoint start.
- Chapter 8 – Checkpoint 5: You will be farming here with few grinds to complete, along with Dodge Brawl and others, this is the best spot so I recommend doing it here. I also recommend doing this with Dodge Brawl and The Lounger Grinds.
SP Grinds #3 – Dodge Brawl: 1000 Shootdodge Kills.
- Refer to Artful Dodger Grind.
SP Grinds #11 – Take a Load Off: 250 Prone Kills.

Achievement #32: Load up either Chapter 2 or 6 to grind the melee kills. Apparently, the 100 kills I reach won’t unlock it so keep killing until you get it. I got it at 109 melee kills so it’s just a little buggy, no idea if switching to another chapter fixed it.
SP Grinds #19 – Wreckage: 200 Vehicles Destroyed.
- Chapter 13 – Checkpoint 5: Bring the grenade launcher to the workroom where you will be grinding kills with this.
- Chapter 14 – Checkpoint 12: Immediately, you will be using the grenade launcher to destroy cars and kill enemies with it.
SP Grinds #20 – Blow Out: 250 Explosion Kills.
- I recommend doing this with Guesswork and Wreckage Grind until you are done, you will be shooting cars and doing explosive kills while blind firing and reloading checkpoint.
SP Grinds #21 – Fire Works: 200 Molotovs/Grenades Shot.
- Chapter 8 – Checkpoint 4: Just shoot the explosive round from the air, do not kill the grenade launcher guy easy as it is.
SP Grinds #22 – Fall Guys: 250 Enemies Toppled.
- Chapter 10 – Checkpoint 7: Two guys will be on the catwalk, shoot at it to “kill” them both. It counts as 1 or 2 so keep going with it.

Achievement #33: After an excruciating amount of tedious work, we finally get this achievement. When done with all grinds, you will be at Lv. 5 for online.
Part 13: Challenge Mode I

Essentially, this is an Arcade mode but DLC where you will play through all 14 chapters of the main story and try completing challenges in a certain amount of time before the timer runs out. To access this, go to Arcade > Challenge Mode.
It follows the same way you play the main story but with added challenge prerequisites to complete so keep them in mind otherwise if you fail the timer then it’s game over but luckily you start from the last checkpoint, all we need is to complete each chapter no platinum medals needed but it’s good to earn extra XP.
The challenges will vary from not using painkillers to using shootdodging in a specific manner. This section will be the longest so I apologise if I went too far.
This is also fairly easy so you won’t have trouble following what the challenge gives you but despite that I will take the time to explain these even if they are straightforward.
Challenge 1 – 4 kills in 10 seconds (No pills): Easy as it is, kill them with headshots at the start, you can also shootdodge.
Challenge 2 – 3 kills in 20 seconds (Only kills from Shootdodge): Emerge out from the elevator, simple as it is just shootdodge while timing your kills. You are good with a pistol but if you want grab another one just in case which is needed.
Keep in mind you can use painkillers if you took too much damage just not during challenge timer.

Achievement #34: If you complete the requirement then you earn x1, keep the streak up until you hit x4 and the achievement is yours. A simple achievement.
Challenge 4 – 2 kills in 30 seconds (Only kills from Explosions): When you go up from the ramp, take cover and shoot all two cars and wait until they explode, the explosion will kill them all guarantee.
Challenge 5 – 4 kills in 15 seconds (Only Headshot kills): After you stop the car from escaping, take cover and shoot at their heads until all three enemies are dead. The timer will stop when a cutscene plays out but be fast on this. Then kill the remaining two enemies before they shoot Rodrigo. I got x6 Streak in total and you won’t need to worry about streak count after that achievement, otherwise continue and make sure to follow what the challenge says, some will give you almost less time to kill enemies before a game over could ruin the streak.
The score will add up to your online xp bar so keep earning platinum medals so the grind will lessen a little bit. I will explain this in the online section but hopefully the servers won’t shutdown like in consoles there is a chance on PC to reach Lv. 50

Challenge 1 – 4 kills in 3 seconds: At the start inside the nightclub, simply shoot all the enemies.
Grab the Micro 9mm from the ground we will need it.
Challenge 2 – 3 Groin shots in 20 seconds (No pills): After the cutscene, make sure to shoot the enemy’s groin without missing just dead-on. If you somehow miss there will be more to complete, another three enemies at the top floor to shoot but this is easy.
Challenge 3 – 6 kills in 18 seconds (No pills): After another cutscene, there will be two enemies to shoot through, like in the main story continue what you do just don’t forget to not use pills. Kill the three guys quickly then move forward to where the last four guys will show up.
Challenge 4 – 2 kills in 4 seconds (Only kills from shootdodge + Don’t get shot): This will be a little tricky so what I do is shootdodge to open the door through while aiming the two guy’s heads. There is also two guys behind cover so watch out from them.
Challenge 5 – 3 kills from Prone in 10 seconds (No pills): Inside the Japanese restaurant, go prone and slightly turn left while prone to all three guys to shoot.
Challenge 6 – 4 kills in 5 seconds: Inside the helicopter simply shoot all the enemies, remember to turn off the laser attachment (B key) for the sweet accuracy shot.
Challenge 7 – 6 kills in 30 seconds (No Headshot kills): The challenge will start when one guy opens the door. Shoot all the enemies at their lower body, remember to use bullet time but otherwise 30 seconds is a lot.
Challenge 8 – 2 kills in 5 seconds: At the metal platform catwalk is where the challenge starts, this is easy just don’t shoot Giovanna.
Challenge 9 – 7 kills in 30 seconds: After a short cutscene, the challenge begins. This is also plentiful so kill all enemies within that time frame.
Challenge 10 – 4 kills in 10 seconds: While Max is hanging which is where the challenge starts, shoot the rocket and kill all four enemies.
Challenge 11 – 15 kills in 60 seconds (No cover): Challenge starts after the cutscene on the helipad area, move forward like before and kill all 15 enemies with bullet time. After that, pretty much do the same as the story progression remember this will happen on New York Minute also so keep persevering and take breaks you will get enough practise hopefully but there’s no shame to replaying the same levels before NYMH.

Challenge 4 – 4 kills in 30 seconds (No pills): When inside with Passos on the other area, make sure to use cover and bullet time to kill all the guys.
Challenge 5 – 2 kills in 8 seconds (No bullet time): While Passos has the sniper and you drop down to kill more guys, this one is fairly easy.
Challenge 6 – 4 kills in 30 seconds (Only Headshot kills + No pills): Still on the same area after the cutscene, kill all four guys
Challenge 7 – 3 kills in 10 seconds (Only kills from Shootdodge): Inside another area, make sure to kill the guys with shootdodge, this is easy.
Challenge 8 – 5 kills in 30 seconds (No Headshot kills): Take the elevator up and after the cutscene just shortly after you can start shooting at the enemy’s lower body, I use shootdodge like always.
Challenge 9 – 8 kills in 40 seconds (No pills): After a long cutscene, you will be at the final challenge. Be fast with this and remember the cutscene will stop the timer, don’t be in last man standing.
Part 14: Challenge Mode II

Challenge 1 – 2 Groin shots in 10 seconds: Just like before, shoot rapidly at their groin dead-on anyways make it quick by getting out of cover and killing them while running.
Challenge 2 – 3 kills from Prone in 10 seconds (No pills): Stay prone while three guys are on the view at the basement.
Challenge 3 – 3 kills in 15 seconds (Only kills from explosions + No pills): Take the time to shoot all the cars while in cover, guarantee to kill all 3 enemies. Pistol may work but it’s better with a shotgun.
Challenge 4 – 6 kills in 30 seconds (No explosion kills): Finally, just kill all enemies while in cover.

Challenge 1 – 1 Blindfire kill in 15 seconds (Only kills from cover + No pills): This challenge starts at the beginning, simply take cover at the hallway on the right side and kill the enemy near you, quickly sprint (CTRL key) towards the next area but kill the enemies outside before progressing.
Challenge 2 – 3 kills from Prone in 20 seconds (No pills): Immediately at the roof just shootdodge to the ground and shoot three enemies.
Challenge 3 – 5 kills in 2 seconds (No Headshot kills): Like before, kill them all quickly during the bullet time sequence.
Challenge 4 – 3 kills in single shootdodge in 10 seconds: This one begins near the next building, wait until you see three enemies and begin shootdodge, there will be a total of four to shoot inside near you, the remaining two also.
Challenge 5 – 3 kills in 25 seconds (Only kills from Prone + No pills): At the same building on the next floor, shootdodge immediately and prone kill all the four enemies.
Challenge 6 – 5 kills in 15 seconds (Only kills from shootdodge): Inside the garage area, shootdodge to the right and left when you see five or more enemies which will be the case.
Challenge 7 – 4 kills in 35 seconds (No kills from cover + No Headshot kills): In the last area, make sure to use bullet time or shootdodge while aiming for the lower body.

Challenge 4 – 8 kills in 20 seconds (No explosion kills): At the top of the boat, killing all eight is fairly easy in this one.
Challenge 5 – 3 kills in 15 seconds (No headshot kills + Don’t get shot): This challenge starts near the building where two enemies are, use bullet time immediately and aim at the lower body.
Challenge 6 – 5 Headshot kills in 30 seconds (Only kills from shootdodge): This starts when you try getting out, straightforward just shootdodge before the enemy shows up but there will be plenty.
Challenge 7 – 5 kills in 45 seconds (No Bullet Time): This starts after the cutscene, aim at the head and kill all of them including the ones at the boat.
Challenge 8 – 5 Headshot kills in 30 seconds: Pass through the metal gate door to start the last challenge, continue as usual.

Challenge 1 – 5 kills in 10 seconds: At the start, simply mow down the enemies.
Challenge 2 – 5 Molotov shots in 40 seconds: After the cutscene, now you will need to shoot down five molotovs but you will get this without a problem.
Challenge 3 – 15 kills in 30 seconds: Simply just mow down all enemies, shoot down a car also. Remember, cutscenes stop the timer. You will get this without a sweat.
Challenge 4 – 3 vehicles blown up in 20 seconds: Simply shoot all three vehicles.
Challenge 5 – 6 Explosion kills in 55 seconds: Shoot all the speedboats until you complete this challenge, some enemies will jump out of the boat who will not be part of the counter kill.
Challenge 6 – 9 kills in 15 seconds (No Explosion kills): Challenge starts after a cutscene, this is straightforward. You will also unlikely destroy a speedboat make sure to use Bullet Time.
Challenge 7 – 4 kills in 4 seconds: Lastly, at the Bullet Time sequence just kill all four make sure to not shoot Fabiana by accident but we have checkpoints fortunately.

Challenge 7 – 5 kills in 20 seconds (No kills from cover): Next where the house has music playing, kill all the 5 enemies inside with Shootdodge.
Challenge 8 – 3 kills in 9 seconds (No kills from cover): During the final area, simply kill all the enemies where you are while using Bullet Time.

Challenge 5 – 5 kills in 15 seconds (No cover): After shooting the first guy on the next area, move on to killing the enemies around you with Bullet Time and Shootdodge.
Challenge 6 – 5 kills in 35 seconds (Only kills from cover + No pills): On the next area where the sniper is, move on from one cover to the next while killing enemies from the building, remember to sprint.
Challenge 7 – 3 kills in 30 seconds (No cover + Don’t get shot): After the cutscene, begin to clear out enemies from your area. Remember to using Bullet Time and Shootdoding.
Challenge 8 – 8 kills in 40 seconds (No kills from cover): First, take care of all the enemies on the ground floor, then go run up immediately to the next floor and take care of few remaining enemies down below.

Grab whatever you can find, an SMG for example. Save much painkillers, die and reload checkpoint to refill the gauge bar on the bottom right to avoid using painkillers as much.
Challenge 3 – 3 kills in 20 seconds (No pills + Don’t reload): After the cutscene, use Bullet Time or Shootdodge to kill all enemies.
Challenge 4 – 7 kills in 4 seconds: On the Bullet Time sequence, simply shoot them all.
Challenge 5 – 2 Blindfire kills in 15 seconds (No pills): On the next area, shoot the two enemies near you.
Challenge 6 – 3 kills in 8 seconds (Only kills from Shootdodge): Shootdodge from up above and shoot all the enemies down below.
Challenge 7 – 2 Melee kills in 25 seconds: You will need much painkilers to get this done, also sprint and shoot when needed to melee close safely. If you can, shoot the enemies on the front then leave one alive on front to melee him. Lastly, make your way quickly to the left where you shoot the enemies and the melee the one near you. Reload checkpoint if needed when you mess up and when successful you will complete the challenge, the trickest challenge is done.
Challenge 8 – 30 kills in 50 seconds (No Explosion kills): This one is straightforward, try to avoid shooting the gas station area until all are killed and continue mowing enemies down.
Challenge 9 – 6 explosion kills in 35 seconds: Straightforward, on the last area shoot all the cars before killing all enemies. You will have more painkillers to make this a breeze.
Part 16: Challenge Mode IV

Challenge 1 – 5 kills in 30 seconds (Don’t reload): Simply shoot your way through while not reloading.
Challenge 2 – 4 Shootdodge kills in 8 seconds: Inside the fuel feed room, shootdodge immediately and shoot the enemies.
Challenge 3 – 4 Headshot kills in 15 seconds: In the next room where the guy is prying a wall, use Bullet Time and shoot them.
Challenge 4 – 4 Groin shots in 20 seconds (No pills): Outside on the other side is where the challenge will start, simply wait for the enemy to stand up and shoot his groin.
Challenge 5 – 9 kills in 30 seconds: On the next area of two stairs between, shoot the enemies from the front and on the right side.
Challenge 6 – 7 kills in 45 seconds (No Bullet Time): After the cutscene, focus on the top and then on the bottom.
Challenge 7 – 3 kills in 18 seconds (No Headshot kills): On the same place, proceed to use Bullet Time to kill the remaining enemies at the bottom and on top quickly to kill one enemy.
Challenge 8 – 7 kills in 10 seconds: At the zipline Bullet Time sequence, simply kill the five enemies and after that kill all the two left at front.
Challenge 9 – 11 kills in 65 seconds (No pills): After opening the gate door, proceed to kill the enemies floor by floor.

Challenge 3 – 15 kills in 60 seconds (No pills + No pistol kills): On the rooftop, simply make your way while killing all enemies, use whatever primary weapons the enemies drop.
Challenge 4 – 4 Blindfire kills in 25 seconds (Only kills from cover): I would recommend planting the third C4 near where the armoury and enemies between are just for blindfiring enemies, move closer to the enemies to avoid wasting more bullets but not too close, use burst fire while blindfire.
Challenge 5 – 5 kills in 23 seconds (No Bullet Time): Easy said than done, just shoot the enemies without Bullet Time with the sniper.
Challenge 6 – 3 kills in 15 seconds (Only kills from Shootdodge): During the rooftop section, simply Shootdodge immediately to the side to kill the enemies.
Part 17: Challenge Mode V
2) Achievements: 36/67

Challenge 1 – 3 kills in 15 seconds (Only Melee kills + No pills): Shoot an enemy and roll or sprint to the enemies and melee kill them, the trickest challenge is done.
Pick up an SMG or any weapon.
Challenge 2 – 5 kills in 30 seconds (7 shots or less): After the cutscene, go through the cells and kill enemies and shoot their heads with Bullet Time used.
Challenge 3 – 2 Blindfire kills in 25 seconds (Only kills from cover): Wait for one enemy to sprint towards cover and then shoot the other enemy on the right or shoot them all blindfire on the left
Challenge 4 – 6 vehicles blown up in 30 seconds: Outside, first take car of the police turret vehicle with the LAW. Then use the explosive weapons to destroy all cars, first near the part where the ammo crate is, then shoot the remaining cars ahead and on the sides.
Kill the remaining enemies and bring the grenade launcher. Save as much painkillers as you can also.
Challenge 5 – 2 kills in 5 seconds (No Bullet Time): Kill the enemies near you with a grenade launcher if you have it.
Challenge 6 – 4 kills in 15 seconds (Only kills from Prone + No pills): Simply kill the enemies, Shootdodge pass the door.
Challenge 7 – 7 kills in 40 seconds (No kills from cover): This will be tricky, make sure to time it right with Bullet Time and Shootdodge.

Part 18: New York Last Minute

In this mode not Hardcore, we must complete this mode without dying but not the whole game just to the beginning of the chapter.
On New York Minute Hardcore as I stated, if we die yes even if you are in Chapter 10 for example, you will restart to Chapter 1 as a whole so be prepared.
Whether or not you did this last is up to you but the 100% requirement is to beat the game one last time in New York Minute Hardcore. This mode is literally, in no joke, are listed below:
- Forces you to play through the game in one sitting (you can pause the game)
- Not dying and racing against time-limit with [FREE AIM] enabled (reminder you can’t skip cutscenes).
This means you will need to preserve Bullet Time and use them when needed as well as Painkillers and the most important of all: Try not to die otherwise you will start the whole game again. This mode is the reason why we need to practise our skills to make the mode a cakewalk but it won’t be easy as I heard reports of crashes, bugs, and soft-locks so keep that in mind. Also a reminder there is only one QTE so make sure not to spam it all the while clicking the correct buttons. Lastly, an important thing to remember are 3 golden rules: Marksmanship, Knowledge, Mechanics.
Luckily, the mode is set to Normal so you will have enough time to react not like Hard and Old School.
1. Marskmanship: Any guns you use should be prioritised in headshot kills so you earn enough extra time you attain.
2. Knowledge: This means strategy, map routes, and enemies at their designated cover spots. Time your shots right and collect painkillers as much as you can but I may had listed them before doing this mode so take it as you will and of course I will mention that.
3. Mechanics: The time you gain from doing various actions are as follows:

This is the real beast or should I say a daunting task, but at this point if you had memorised, done lots of practise then you should be good to go.
General Tips:
- Headshots: You will need it and thank your practise for the marksmanship, because we will need to hit the highest time.
- Time: Following by headshots, the more you do actions like headshots or melee and any kills from environments like cars and explosives (recommended), the more you score extra time, if you consistently hit a lot of headshots you won’t have time problem and plus at this point you had knew the maps.
- Repetition: Always practise spots and strategies, if you want to replicate this via Hardcore, just do Arcade > New York Minute since you can keep retrying with checkpoints.
- Breaks: Unless otherwise, pause and take breaks you’ll need it especially in stressful situations but if you play a lot you will minimise that.
- Weaponry: I recommend using pistols, smgs to dual wield with but ARs are by far are the best option too, anything to kill far distance but there are few to consider using throughout the entirety game. Use some guns when you need to in one situation for instance a .50 CAL Barrett against the heavy armoured guy in the near end game is useful though there are few of them.
- Painkillers: Use painkillers wisely and take less damage aka prefiring enemies before they do.
- Partner: Do not let them kill but also killing your partner or else it’s game over, dispatch enemies one by one quickly and never panic.
- Bullet Time: Use bullet time wisely and never use shootdodge often. Bullet Time will be useful as much.
- Others: Just in case, do not spam the QTE buttons too much even if you press them correctly because it won’t register. Another thing is to use bullet time and doing the right timing on the police turret car in Chapter 13 until you pick up the LAW then fire immediately.

Achievement #38: This is the mode where you need to race against time, that is all. What makes this mode even hard and stressful is that there is no checkpoints so basically while you may pause you still need to be in watch constantly to avoid dying, as I mentioned not only that will be the most case but a single mistake will kill your run to start at Chapter 1 so hone your skills and have fun with this mode.
Try to avoid being in Last Man Standing which is why not getting shot many times is key to make this run better for survivability. After you finally destroy Victor’s plane you will unlock the achievement.
I would record myself a New York Minute Hardcore video just when I have the time needed to do this, at this point I pretty much had memorised everything I needed and sweat. Also pray you do not get a crash of the game it kind of rarely happens.
Part 20: Online Multiplayer I

The grind continues as our ultimate goal is reach Level 50 and doing all online achievements. I cannot be sure but better get this done before the shut down who knows may it be couple years later for a chance or this year. If you need a boost partner for this then feel free to ask in the comment, delete if you are done no one wanna reply to your comment assuming you have not finished the grind but it is better to not have a flood of finished comments just a request I ask.
The good news is once you are signed in to the Social Club, multiplayer will be there unlocked if you want to do this before singleplayer and yes the DLCs will be there so nothing missable. The bad news is who knows when the servers shutdown so maybe do this as much as possible early on before you regret it.
Also, you can use your own dummy account to assist yourself earning these achievements or having other players help you boost. Some of the online achievements are cumulative. We will be selecting Deathmatch and Large Team Deathmatch for the achievements.
We start at Lv. 0, we should play through while earning achievements online. We will get to grinding later on. Keep in mind you will need to reach Lv. 10 on your M4, 400-450 kills to reach that level unless you rack up bonus XP so equip it right away but don’t forget about other guns necessary to grind and earn achievements online.
Equip a Cattle Prod of Stun Gun, M4 Assault Rifle, and Bouncing Betty. Do the same on other loadouts until you get that achievement like the M24 and IA2 AR.

If you want a video explaining this confusing achievement I post it down. I recommend using a sniper while doing this in Hoboken Alleys, what I did is activate the Hangover at Lv. 3 and headshot one player, the same player is killed by me even after missing a shot it takes a few second for an achievement to pop.

Hangover works like this: Once activated, for a short time anyone on the opposite team who respawns will be effected by Hangover. Hangover lasts for at most 5 seconds; sometimes it goes away almost instantly. The hip flask item also negates the effect of Hangover if an enemy is using it. Basically once you activate Hangover you have to kill an enemy with a headshot almost immediately after they spawn and the enemy can’t be wearing the hip flask or it won’t count. You may be thinking that since you need to get a headshot, it won’t matter what level burst you use to get this trophy. Although that is partially true, you should use level 3 as it completely drains the enemy’s stamina and, in-case they are wearing head protection, the lowered HP will still make it so a head shot is a one hit kill.

It is recommended that one of you will need to shoot all the enemies whilst one will do their job of opening any type a container or door which will have an icon showing so kill enemies if you need to or just do all the killings and opening containers as much as you can inside the garage area holding out while your partner assist in bullet time. The weapons matter so if you can grab the sniper rifle if you are still opening any crates, don’t pick up the shotgun.

Kill all enemies until your meter (grit) on the bottom right is filled enough and then you can use that to open containers or doors while running around the map, plan this accordingly but enemies will be infinite each waves until you both die. To better this grind you can imagine doing this with more than two people to help the leveling. This can be on the other hand true with another method to grind Level 50 by playing Arcade in Chapter 4 – Part I you need Platinum – 1,000 XP and like a lot this is a total of up to 620,000 XP.
