Little Kitty, Big City: Hat Hunter’s Guide – “Capped Crusader” Achievement

The game has 42 hats, some of which are purchasable with shinies, with the rest hidden around the map. This guide will list all of them, in order of when you’re more likely to come across them. I’ve also included pictures of what each hat looks like on Kitty!

Please note that you will not be able to complete the Capped Crusader achievement without completing the main goal of the game! You can choose to do this at any point, as the game does not permanently end afterwards.

Spoilers: Returning to Kitty’s apartment will grant you the final hat needed for the achievement.

This guide is extremely image heavy.

After you meet Crow and he gives you the quest to give him 25 shinies, head right. You’ll find this hat next to a white car.

The next hat is directly across the street from Crow, on top of a green van.

To reach it, crawl through the hole to the left of the car, climb over the blue tarp-covered crate, and the two crates next to the fence.

After exploring a bit further down the street, you’ll met Tanuki in a fenced area. She’ll teleport you to a different area that has a construction zone.

Climb the scaffolding in the center, walk to the very edge, and do a precision jump across.

This hat also gives you the added bonus of making the construction worker leave you alone!

This jump is a little difficult to hit, so it might be easier to jump down from the stairway on the other side of the wall. To do this, you’ll need to get the dog over there to leave you alone first.

Complete Crow’s task to give him 25 shinies and climb over the vine covered wall. In this next area, you’ll find a few kiosks selling hats.

The kiosk for these hats is directly across from the park, behind where you first meet Duck Dad.

Each hat costs 5 Shinies.

On the other side of the park, behind the slide, you’ll find the another hat kiosk.

Each hat costs 5 shinies.

Head past the park to the right, toward the fisherman. There’ll be a shrine on your left with this hat in it.

Head down towards the fisherman and you’ll find another kiosk.

Each hat costs 5 shinies.

Follow the river down until you run into a fence, behind it you’ll find the next hat.

To get around the fence, approach it from the left side next to the bush.

Head back to the kiosk where you found the grape, pear, watermelon, and tangelo hats. There’s an ivy wall near it that should be easier to climb with the fish you got from the fisherman.

Jump down the other side, climb through the hole in the wall, and you’ll find the next hat.

Head back towards the park and past all the vending machines, towards the Gecku store. Before you get there you’ll see a kiosk off to the right.

Each hat costs 10 shinies.

Head further down the street. Just in front of the convenience store you’ll find another kiosk, the last one in the game.

Enter the convenience store. Jump on some of the isles and enter the duct system in the back. It’ll lead you to the bathroom, where you’ll find this hat.

Leave the convenience store and head further down the street. You’ll find a hole in the wall near the dog, which will have both a hat and a bone on the other side of the wall.

Since you’re close by, head back towards the area you started, but this time you’ll see an ivy wall. By this time you should have enough stamina to climb it.

Go back towards the park. Behind the robot statue you’ll find a hole you can crawl through.

Go back towards the grocery store. In the back you’ll find a door, which leads to an alleyway with this hat.

I recommend having max stamina for these last few hats!

Go back behind the grocery store, towards the construction zone. You should have enough stamina by now to climb the huge ivy wall here, though it’s still very tricky! The hat will be on the roof.

Go towards the river again, and go through the holes in the wall to get to this garden. Climb the crates, climb the ivy, and get on the roof to find the next hat.

Head back towards the starting area again. Use the fast travel system if you can, since you’ll need to do Big Potato’s quest anyways!

You’ll be able to see a huge ivy wall on the Painter’s house.

Follow the ivy around the building to reach the hat.

Go back to the park and climb this truck.

Follow the path around the building in the direction the truck is facing, avoiding the fans. When you climb on top of this fan, continue climbing towards the right side of the screen to find this hat.

Repeat all the same steps from the last hat location, except when you climb on top of the fan, head left.

Continue along the duct pathways for now.

When you get to the top, there’s plenty of stuff to explore, but to find the hat follow the lip of the balcony around the building.

I totally forgot to include this hat earlier, whoops! But thankfully we’re right above it. Drop down from where you got the sunflower and go to the arcade nearby.

You’ll find a hole in the wall across the street.

We totally forgot another early game hat, so instead of renumbering the entire list I’m simply making everyone suffer.

It’s back by the construction site where you found the hardhat. Grab the bone to distract the dog and it’ll be right behind him.

For reuniting the duck family, you’ll receive a duck hat.. I don’t have a guide for this task anywhere, but the duckling locations are marked on your map by the game.
