Introduction
Day 1: Teacher Route
YARD: <Get your money stolen by Buggs>. Afterward, speak to the teacher and <tattle on Buggs>. Agree to fight Buggs for a gold star. Go to Buggs, get into a fight, then <call for the teacher>. Now that Buggs is sent away, agree to go after Jerome next. Then go to Monty and <buy the voice recorder>. Ask Cindy if your love isn’t enough and get her upset enough to accuse you to get you both sent to the principal’s office.
Total for Yard: 4 apples (but Cindy basically uses up the last one)
MORNING: Show the principal the voice recorder. You can get an extra dollar by asking him what Cindy is accusing you of, but that doesn’t matter here. When you’re in the classroom, ask Jerome if he stole a hall pass, then go to the teacher and tell her that you’re not cool enough for Jerome. This will give you permission to steal from the cubbies. <Grab the knife> and the Monstermon card (#2). Then <buy the yo-yo from Monty>. <Show it to Jerome>, agree to his quest, then immediately <show the pass to the teacher>. With your last apple, <befriend Nugget> and eat his nugget.
Total for Morning: 5 apples
LUNCH: Grab the Monstermon card (#15) from beneath Nugget’s table. Speak to Nugget to get the poisoned nugget. You won’t need it, though, since you’ll walk up to Buggs and <stab him>. Return to Nugget and <tell him the job is done>. Next, speak to Monty, and then <tell the janitor that Monty noticed his misspelling>. Once the janitor is finished with him, he’ll give you Monty’s glasses, so you can ask the lunch lady to go to the bathroom and <give her the glasses>. Once you’re outside, first grab the Monstermon card (#3) from the tile that Buggs is lying next to, and then <knock on the principal’s door> to get Lily in trouble.
Total for Lunch: 5 apples
RECESS: Pick up the Monstermon Card (#7) from behind the playground structure, then get another Monstermon Card (#13) by pressing the ducks in order (yellow yellow blue blue red yellow blue). Speak to Nugget to <enter the Nugget Cave>. Get the Monstermon Card (#12) near the skulls, then <pick up the dog> and ask Nugget to leave the cave. Show the teacher the dog, and the day will be done.
Total for Recess: 2 apples
6 CARDS OBTAINED: 2, 3, 7, 12, 13, 15
Day 2: Cindy Route
YARD: <Get your money stolen by Buggs>. Afterward, speak to the teacher and <tattle on Buggs>. Agree to fight Buggs for a gold star. Go to Buggs, get into a fight, then <call for the teacher>. Now that Buggs is gone, go to Cindy and <agree to put gum in Lily’s hair>. With your last apple, <ask Nugget what happened to Billy> and push until you get sent to the principal’s office.
Total for Yard: 5 apples
MORNING: Say you’re sad to the principal to get the bottle of pills. Before you leave, get the Monstermon Card (#23) from the principal’s trash can. Now that you’re in the classroom, <put gum in Lily’s hair> and then speak to Cindy. Ask to use the bathroom and <show the bathroom pass to the hall monitor>. Go into the bathroom and <wash off the blood in the sink>. Return to the classroom and <get the pass taken back>, then head over to Cindy to <play house>. The correct dialogue path is “Yes dear.” -> “No honey, I’m just tired.” -> “Is that a breathalyzer?” -> “I’ll take the test.” -> “Be a father?” -> “We can work through this.” -> “Yes I do.” -> “Put it up for adoption.” -> “You can have one of these pills.” This will grant you a Monstermon card (#6).
Total for Morning: 5 apples
LUNCH: <Get some slop> from the lunch lady. Then, go to the janitor and ask about the Biscuit Balls and how much they are. He’ll mention that he wants Cindy to eat one. <Buy one>. Go to Cindy and eat your slop. When she wants something vegan, <give her the Biscuit Ball>. Agree to Cindy’s plan and immediately go to the janitor and tell him that Cindy ate a Biscuit Ball to gain a Monstermon card (#18). Leave and enter the janitor’s closet. Go to the small box and pick up the Monstermon card (#14); then <pick up the note>. Re-enter the cafeteria.
Total for Lunch: 4 apples (but cannot be improved)
RECESS: Go to CIndy and <show her the note>. Pay Monty to read it, then return to Cindy and <tell her what it says>. In addition to getting the flower, you’ll also get a Monstermon card (#8).
Total for Recess: 2 apples
Show the flower and show and tell, and you’re done for the day.
5 CARDS OBTAINED: 6, 8, 14, 18, 23
Day 3: Jerome Route
YARD: <Get your money stolen by Buggs>. Now go to Monty and buy <the yo-yo>, <the cigarettes>, and <the screwdriver>. Finally, go to Nugget and <ask what happened to Billy> until you get sent to the principal’s office.
Total for Yard: 5 apples
MORNING: You need to tell the principal that you fought with Billy. The correct dialogue path is “Who told you that?” -> “I’m not sad about Billy.” -> “I’m not.” -> “Billy and I were friends.” -> “We had a fight.” -> “Monstermon cards.” After this, the principal will give you a Monstermon card (#19). When you’re in the classroom, speak to Jerome and <offer him the yo-yo>. Agree to his quest, head outside, and <show the hall monitor your pass>. While you’re in the hall, unscrew the vent grate to get a Monstermon card (#11). Go into the janitor’s closet, <loosen the screw of the shelf>, and <grab the laser pointer>. Leave the closet.
Total for Morning: 4 apples (cannot be improved)
LUNCH: After speaking to Jerome, <hide the laser pointer in the trash>. Once the janitor takes it out, <tell Jerome to pay off the lunch lady> and head outside. Go into the bathroom and <give the monitor your cigarettes>. Now you can <grab the laser pointer from the bag>. Head back to the cafeteria.
Total for Lunch: 4 apples (cannot be improved)
RECESS: Walk until Monty calls you back. <Tell him you got the laser pointer>. He’ll give you a device, which you need to <place behind the janitor>. <Tell him it’s placed> and watch the fireworks.
Total for Recess: 3 apples
2 CARDS OBTAINED: 11, 19
Day 4: Buggs Route
YARD: <Get your money stolen by Buggs>. Afterward, speak to the teacher and <tattle on Buggs>. When she asks you to get him in trouble, tell her no way. Go to Nugget and <ask about Billy> until you’re sent to the principal’s office.
Total for Yard: 3 apples
MORNING: Annoy the principal by accusing him of eavesdropping to get the bottle of pills and a device. Once you’re in class, let the teacher have a pill. Buggs will call you over. <Agree to Buggs’ plan>. Go to Monty and ask to buy a distraction, and use your device and $1.50 to <get the distraction you need>. Go back to Buggs, who will tell you to <place the device beneath a table>. Finally, <take Nugget’s nugget from his cubby> (or alternatively, just ask Nugget for it). Use your lunch pass to have lunch with the teacher.
Total for Morning: 4 apples
LUNCH: <Activate your distraction> and then <stab the teacher>.
Total for Lunch: 2 apples
RECESS: Speak to Buggs about where to hide the knife. Ask Nugget to hide the knife in the Nugget Cave, and <show him a nugget> to prove that you’re his friend. Throw the knife into the hole.
Total for Recess: 1 apple
Yup. Zero new cards are available on this route at all. It seems so possible to get the one for giving Nugget the magnifying glass during morning time, but it just doesn’t work out. Oh well.
Day 5: Nugget Route
YARD: <Befriend Nugget> and offer Cindy’s flower. <Buy cigarettes from Monty> and give them to Buggs for a Monstermon card (#1). Go to Cindy and <agree to put gum in Lily’s hair>. Then walk up to Lily and <show her the gum> so that she trusts you.
Total for Yard: 4 apples
MORNING: Speak to Nugget to learn that you need the nugget from the cubby. Try to get it, and then tell Nugget that the teacher won’t allow you. <Purchase the pill from Nugget> to take the edge off of the teacher. <Take the nugget from the cubby> and then <tell Nugget that you got it>. Nugget will give you a love letter, so <present it to Lily>. Speak to Nugget for a final time to get the third nugget. Then <steal the money from Monty’s cubby>.
Total for Morning: 5 apples
LUNCH: Go to Monty and <buy the Silly Meal>. Go to Nugget and get his poisoned nugget, and then <tell Buggs that he’ll look like a sissy if he doesn’t eat it>. Tell him Jerome or Cindy will think he’s a sissy. Return to Nugget and <tell him that Buggs ate it>. Afterwards, go to Lily and <get the donut from her>.
Total for Lunch: 4 apples
RECESS: <Speak to Nugget> to learn about his plan to blow up the statue, and then <place the device behind it>. Talk to Lily and <yell>. Offer the teacher the donut to get off the hook. Follow Nugget down into the Nugget Cave and <place the flower on the memorial>.
Total for Recess: 4 apples
Present the Silly Meal at show and tell to get a Monstermon card (#24).
2 CARDS OBTAINED: 1, 24
Day 6: Monty Route
YARD: <Get your money stolen by Buggs>. Approach Monty and <ask to get the key made>. Then, <sell your lunch pass> and <buy the yo-yo>. Finally, go to Nugget and <ask about Billy to be sent to the principal>.
Total for Yard: 5 apples
MORNING: In the principal’s office, say you’re sad to get the pills. Back in the classroom, <sell the pills to Monty>. Go to Jerome and <offer the yo-yo for the hall pass>. Agree to Jerome’s quest and go outside to <show the pass to the monitor>, then enter the janitor’s closet. <Get the $5 from the box> and leave.
Total for Morning: 4 apples (cannot be improved)
LUNCH: Jerome will let you keep the principal’s pass. <Sell it to Monty>. You should have $21 now. Then go to Cindy and <agree to put gum in Lily’s hair>. Ask the lunch lady to go to the bathroom and <bribe her with $2 to get out>. Leave the lunchroom and put the gum in Lily’s hair. Re-enter the cafeteria and retrieve the Monstermon card (#10) from Cindy. Spend the last two apples.
Total for Lunch: 3 apples
RECESS: Spend all five apples. At the end, you should have $20.75.
1 CARD OBTAINED: 10
Day 7: Lily Route
YARD: <Show Lily the note>. To get it read, <pay Monty $1>. <Tell Lily what it says>, then <buy the cigarettes from Monty>. Finally, <ask Nugget about Billy to be sent to the principal>.
Total for Yard: 5 apples
MORNING: Tell the principal you’re feeling sad to get the pills. Then, go to the rug and <reveal the hatch>. Speak to Lily and then go to the bathroom. <Show the monitor your bathroom pass>, and when you’re in the bathroom, look at all three stalls. Tell the janitor that the toilet needs to be cleaned, and then <say that the other two stalls are taken>. While the janitor is away, take the Monstermon card (#16) from the middle box and then <take the shoe from the leftmost box>. Return to the classroom.
Total for Morning: 4 apples (cannot be improved)
LUNCH: <Get the note from Monty>. Then <show the shoe to Lily> along with the note. Leave with her to the bathroom and give the cigarettes to the hall monitor inside. After calling the principal, enter his office and check behind the desk to enter the code. <Take the key> and then <unlock the hatch>.
Total for Lunch: 4 apples
RECESS: Press the buttons in this order: <yellow>, <red>, <yellow>, <green>, <blue>.
Total for Recess: 5 apples
You will receive a Monstermon card (#25) at the end of the day.
2 CARDS OBTAINED: 16, 25
Interlude
Monstermon card #22: Obtained by using the lunch pass outside of the Buggs route
All of the character routes require actions to be taken during lunch, meaning that using the lunch pass, which effectively skips the lunch period, is not an option. The only one that can be considered is Monty’s, so let’s do the math to see if it’s possible.
Obviously, the lunch pass cannot be sold in the morning if you’re going to use it.
The principal’s pass, the chocolate, the donut, and Billy’s shoe all can only be sold during lunch, so you cannot get any money from those.
Aside from that, you can get $4 from selling the bottle of pills and $4.25 from selling the breathalyzer and flask from Cindy. (You could instead get the $5 from the janitor’s closet, but that costs $1 to buy the yo-yo.) This puts us at $13.25. There are simply no more opportunities to make money and using apples for $0.25 isn’t going to cut it, so I’m going to call it that using the lunch pass is impossible on the Monty route. If you can find some clever way to use the lunch pass and still end up with $20 at the end of the day, please let me know.
Monstermon card #20: Obtained by purchasing slop three times and throwing it out twice
This card is essentially identical to the previous one in the sense that it wastes the entire lunch period. This has all of the same problems since you still can’t sell anything during lunch if you’re using all of our apples to buy and throw out slop. You can get a bit closer to $20 since you can sell the lunch pass, but at the end of the day you’ll be up to only $17.50 at most.
Monstermon card #9: Obtained by dumping blood on Cindy during her quest
You need to complete Cindy’s quest right up until recess for this one. There simply isn’t enough time in any other route for this to also be achievable. (If there were, it would be possible to complete two character routes on the same day if you dumped the blood on Lily like you’re supposed to, so I think we can rule this one out.)
These three are, as far as I can tell, unable to be completed during the seven character routes. Furthermore, it is not possible to achieve more than one of these three cards on one day. This sets the minimum possible number of days to 10 before we consider the last 4 cards.
Monstermon card #17: Obtained by showing principal’s pass to janitor during morning
This one cannot be gotten during any character route. The routes for the teacher, Cindy, and Lily prevent us from leaving the classroom with the principal’s pass. There are simply not enough actions remaining in Jerome’s, Buggs’, and Nugget’s to speak to the janitor. It also isn’t possible in Monty’s since it prevents us from selling the pills in the morning, leaving us with too little money to get to $20.
Monstermon card #5: Obtained by giving Buggs a breathalyzer/flask during recess
Buggs is not present at recess for the teacher, Cindy, or Nugget routes. He doesn’t want it on his own route. Jerome’s and Lily’s routes are too busy to play house to get the needed objects. This leaves one route left, and perhaps surprisingly, you can get this in the Monty route.
In the yard, get your money stolen, give Monty the key mold, sell the lunch pass, get the gum from Cindy, and get sent to the principal to get the bottle of pills. In the morning, stick the gum in Lily’s hair, play house and get the breathalyzer and flask, sell the pills and the breathalyzer, and steal the $2 from Monty’s cubby. You’ll be up to $16.25 at this point. At lunch, get slop and a salad and give it to Cindy, but when she sends you to the janitor’s closet, take the $5 from the box. This will bring you to $20.50, and when you get to recess you’ll already have enough money to give the flask to Buggs and still get the key at the end of the day.
Although getting this card in the Monty route is possible, getting #10 as I described in the earlier section is a better idea since #10 cannot be gotten at the same time as #9, #20, or #22, the three cards from above.
Monstermon card #4: Obtained by giving Nugget the magnifying glass during morning
This one is particularly infuriating since it seems so simple, but there just isn’t room to get it in one of the character routes. Like I said before, the timing in Buggs’ route just doesn’t work out for this. Nugget doesn’t want it in his own route. If you do it during the teacher route, you can’t befriend Nugget at the end of morning time. Cindy’s, Jerome’s, and Lily’s are just too busy, and getting it during Monty’s prevents you from either selling the pills or getting the $5 from the janitor’s closet, leaving you with too little cash.
Monstermon card #21: Obtained from Monty during recess for $15
There’s definitely no way to get this kind of cash during any character route. It is a bit of a hurdle for trying to fit these last 7 cards into 3 days, though.
Please let me know if you’ve discovered a way to get any of these cards at the same time as completing a character route.
Day 8: Cards 4, 5, and 9
YARD: <Get the gum from Cindy>. Then go to Nugget and <get sent to the principal>.
Total for Yard: 2 apples
MORNING: Get the bottle of pills from the principal and let the teacher have one. Go to Nugget, get the quest for the magnifying glass, <take it>, and give it to Nugget for a Monstermon card (#4). <Put the gum in Lily’s hair>. Go to Cindy, tell her that the job is done, then <play house> and get the breathalyzer.
Total for Morning: 3 apples
LUNCH: <Get slop> and <buy a salad from Monty>. Sit down with Cindy and <give her the salad>. Once she pays off the lunch lady, go into the janitor’s closet and <grab the bucket>. Re-enter the cafeteria.
Total for Lunch: 4 apples
RECESS: Go to Buggs and give him the breathalyzer to get a Monstermon card (#5). Then <show Cindy the bucket>. Pour the blood on Cindy and then take her shoe for style points. You’ll then get a gold star and a Monstermon card (#9) from the teacher.
Total for Recess: 1 apple
3 CARDS OBTAINED: 4, 5, 9
Day 9: Cards 20 and 21
YARD: <Get your money stolen by Buggs>. Then <sell the lunch pass> and <get the gum from Cindy>. Talk to Nugget to <get sent to the principal>.
Total for Yard: 4 apples
MORNING: Get the bottle of pills from the principal. <Sell them to Monty> and then <put the gum in Lily’s hair>. After that, <play house> with Cindy, being sure to get the breathalyzer and flask. Then <sell the breathalyzer> and <sell the flask>.
Total for Morning: 5 apples
LUNCH: <Get slop>, <throw it away>, <get more slop>, <throw it away>, and then <get a third helping of slop> for a Monstermon card (#20).
Total for Lunch: 5 apples
RECESS: Purchase the Monstermon card (#21) from Monty.
Total for Recess: 0 apples
2 CARDS OBTAINED: 20, 21
Day 10: Cards 17 and 22
YARD: <Buy the yo-yo>.
Total for Yard: 1 apple
MORNING: Talk to Jerome and <offer the yo-yo>. After he gives you the principal’s pass, go outside and <show it to the hall monitor>. Then go into the bathroom and speak to the janitor. The correct dialogue path is as follows: “What’s in those bags?” -> “Those bags.” -> “It’s bleeding.” -> “How did that judgement get passed down?” -> “Sounds riveting.” -> “I’m morbidly curious.” -> <“But it’s okay for me to see a bloody bag in a bin?”> -> “A nickel won’t cut it.” -> “Give me more, or I’m telling about the bloody bag.” -> “Applegate is expecting me back.” -> “Yes, I do.” -> “That’s right.” -> “I don’t really care. I just wanted the pass.” At the end of this long exchange, the janitor will give you a Monstermon card (#17). Then return immediately to the classroom. Jerome will take back the principal’s pass, but that doesn’t matter. Just spend the last two apples and ask to have lunch with the teacher.
Total for Morning: 3 apples
LUNCH: Enjoy your Silly Meal and Monstermon card (#22).
2 CARDS OBTAINED: 17, 22
