A guide on doing The Red Dragon challenge on The Replication/ The Splitter.
About this Guide
(or if you have bought the splitter pack, you can do The Splitter instead, which I think is similar?)
The Red Dragon challenge:
.
Even though it only gives 1000xp, I myself is a bit of a completionist, and if you’re too, you’re in luck 🙂
I’m only making a guide on this challenge because the others are pretty straightforward/ the same as in End Of An Era. Also, the targets in this mission don’t normally go outside of the facility.
Planning
(level 2 requires you to not get spotted, you can reset the escalation after completing level 2)
.
Things you need:
- Any sniper rifle, preferably suppressed.
For the smuggling location I chose facility maintenance tunnel as it is close by to the mission area. (***Mastery level 8 required***)
I waited til mastery level 17 to do this challenge because I thought that I could smuggle a sniper rifle into the laundry, since the laundry is right below the vantage point, but unfortunately, it is not an option. (Also that’s why I’m making this guide so late, sorry :<)
Get Hunted
The specific situation is when Max Valliant notices most of his clones are eliminated (he doesn’t need to see the bodies, he knows).
To do so, you have to eliminate at least 4 clones (clones which Valliant can show them off to Pritchard) before Valliant meets with Pritchard in his office. You can do it slow and stealthy, but to make it time wise, I would prefer waiting til the 5 clones gather behind the glass and throw an explosive towards them. (Don’t use CX demo blocks, they explode even through walls and kill Valliant)
By doing so, Valliant will then go into his office with Pritchard, and tell the doctor to leave the room. Now stand there right in front of the doors and watch them, because later Valliant will tell his clone/ guard to shoot Pritchard dead, and then they will instantly blame you if you’re there.
And that’s how they start hunting you, 47.
En Route
The advantages are that they would lose track of you, and facility guard can carry a sniper rifle without raising suspicion. (street guard is suspicious when carrying a sniper rifle)
If you haven’t already, pick up your sniper rifle, the facility maintenance tunnel should be close by.

To get to the vantage point, there are two entrances.
One near the starting point, which is a door requiring a crowbar or a key to unlock. I wouldn’t choose this entrance because there are 2 npcs just in front of the door, and I don’t know where the key is.
Another entrance is in the laundromat, there is a door locked by a keypad. The code is 0118. Type it in and enter.

You are suspicious here, either because you’re tresspassing as a facility guard or carrying a sniper rifle as a street guard, but don’t worry, the other guards won’t be in your way, so just go up the stairs and get to the vantage point.
Sniping Time
Now take your sniper rifle out, and wait. They might still be in the facility, but they will eventually come out.
.
Nicely done, 47.
Now get out of there. We have a team on standby to take care of the rest.
I still had 2 more to go lol.
Funnily enough, I was waiting for the last clone to come out of the facility, but it had been few minutes and he was still down there, so I thought he was not coming. Then when I was on my way to the facility, he was already outside with some other guards. That took him long enough.
Thank You
Fun Facts
- If you don’t have access to End Of An Era, you can complete the Discover Chongqing challenge in this mission, but you can’t get the achievement for that on Steam.
o However, you can both get to mastery level 20 and get the achievement for that on Steam. (I got it :>)
- The Chameleon challenge is not possible to complete due to the removal of the 2 diguises (according to fandom).
