Welcome to our guide for Garry’s Mod Tower’s Ball Race collectible, the Secret Bananas. These elusive bananas were not originally part of the game, but were added in later versions such as GMT: Classic and The Community First. In this article, we will walk you through how to find these hidden bananas in the Sunshine Tower Ball Race map. So grab your controllers and let’s get started!
Before you start
This guide is intended to help you get every secret banana in all the worlds!
It is sorted from easiest level to hardest level and each world will be accompanied with a written explanation as well as visual representation of how to obtain the banana.
Also keep in mind that ping can be a determent to how easy or hard some of these bananas can be! I’d personally say anything above 200 might be close to impossible.
Night World – LVL 9
As soon as you head up the booster ramp after the moving platforms immediately turn around before going to the goal, you’ll be able to go on top of the ramp from where you came. The banana is straight ahead you can’t miss it!
Neon Lights – LVL 4
After turning the corner from the start of the level you’ll want to build speed to get on top of the floating cube then you’ll be able to wiggle your way towards the banana.
Sand World – LVL 4
After heading up the second carpet in the level you’ll want to line yourself up with the island on the flat platform then build up speed and fly towards the island for the banana!
Khromidro – LVL 4
The most consistent way I found to get this one is to head on the moving platform and wait for it to get decently high, preferably right before the height peaks, once its there you’ll want to be in the corner of the little platform and build as much speed to make it towards the island with the windmill.
Space World – LVL 7
At the start of the level line yourself up next to the bumper, from there, move in a way where you won’t bump into the platform ahead but also while building up some speed to make it towards the banana.
Sky World – LVL 5
This is when I consider the bananas to get a little tricky but not too hard.
After gaining speed from the first booster you’ll want to immediately turn around and as soon as you start getting the speed from that second booster you’ll want to move towards the banana which will be on top of the little area from the entrance of the level.
Memories – LVL 9
After getting speed from the booster start moving yourself to the left off the platform as you’re going up so you can be in the air after which you want to turn around immediately and move towards the top of the ramp’s curve for the banana.
The hardest part about this one is getting through the actual level itself so you can even get the banana.
Water World – LVL 6
At the start of the level there will be a pit you want to head into, after getting pass the puller press the button and wait at least 5-8 seconds for all the water to rise, after it rises you want to exit from the right side of the puller and the water will push you up the top fast so you wanna aim yourself to the right where the banana will be on top of the fish tank.
Ice World – LVL 8
Once you get past the curved platform section you will see platforms shooting up and down, you’ll want to get on the ones shooting upwards while lining yourself at where the top would be, after you go flying you’ll want to head towards the goal to make a bounce which you then turn to the left directing yourself towards the small platform with the banana on it.
Facile – LVL 6
After going down the tunnel once you get past the second booster you’ll want to immediately turn around and aim towards the banana from the start of the level.
It’s exactly like getting Sky World’s banana but a little trickier.
Metal World – LVL 8
Timing it so that you don’t hit any of the rotating obstacles, head towards the gravitational pull from the right after which you wanna move out of the way from the platform above so that you’ll keep the momentum and fling high in the air to be able to make it to the roof for the banana.
Paradise – LVL 5
This is when the bananas start to get harder and might take you multiple attempts at the level.
Once both buttons are pressed and the blockade is gone build up speed from the start of the level and move off the platform from the right of the tube, now moving to the left bounce in between the bumpers and continue towards the island for the banana.
Grass World – LVL 8
At the end of the spinning tunnel there will be two windows, you’ll want to head towards the first window and line yourself up in a way that it will push you to the roof of the spinning tunnel, once you’re up there you want to move to the right towards the banana.
Midori – LVL 4
After you make it past the rotating obstacle, you’ll want to turn around and gain speed to bounce off of a spinner while turning to the right to make it towards the banana in the center. I advise you time it in a way as you pass one spinner you’ll be able to bounce off the next to ensure you have a lot of speed.
Tranquil – LVL 6
This is the hardest banana and will make you struggle a fair bit.
In my opinion the key for this level is building up speed the entire time. From the start of the level you’ll want to use the pushers to your advantage especially when it comes to the third set of them, for that you’ll want to stay in the middle 4 for about a half-second to be able to get some airtime to build up even more speed. After which when you get to the fourth set of pushers you want to be in the range of getting a high bounce off of the right corner when you get to the end of the row while then immediately turning right to make it to the island with the banana.
Final words
I hope this guide helped you get all those bananas! If you have any questions please feel free to comment but other than that be nice. Feedback and constructive criticism is also appreciated! I haven’t written many guides so some may be able to explain way better than I can so I’m always willing to make adjustments and maybe add some collaborators as needed!
Finally, I’d like to thank a few people!
Starting with Misuune, Lead, Scienti[-] It’s Dead, WITCHDAGGER, ItsRifter, and all the other devs who help make Sunshine what it is and keep it going. I wouldn’t even have a game to make this guide on without you all. I appreciate you guys so much!!
