Let’s start with my personal favourite. This map features an enormous open space with multiple points of interest: two hangars for building, an airfield for testing flying contraptions, a canal, pyramids, and, of course,
Perfect for building, testing dupes and staging war with The Combine over the said bridge.

This map is like an enchanced gm_construct and will suit those who prefer
The main spawn is designed like a fortress with gates that can be opened. Buildings are fun to fight in and to defend, long winding roads and a high skybox limit will cover all your vehicular needs. Tons of fun to be had with friends.
If you are, by chance, one of MLP fans, I dare you to find an easter egg on this map without looking it up! ;>

This is a collosal sandbox map that I would consider to be close to something of an open world. It features distinct zones with functioning transport, minigames, easter eggs and tons of interactable features.
I could go on about it forever, but you should play and see for your self! Bringing some friends along is a no brainer here.
Exploration maps (Nextbot brainrot material)

Visit a liminal mall parking lot with multiple stories and maze-like corridors. I would recommend to wander this map on your own first to take in all that gloomy atmosphere; and then get some nextbot chase nonsense going with your comrades. Comes with a NavMesh and functioning elevator for clean getaways!

H U G E and ridiculously detailed map that will make Pentiums plead for mercy. Explore a snowy cliffside tundra and find your way into a large underground complex where every inch is interactable. It is easy to get lost in there, so get them nextbots up and running for maximum terror!

I don’t see a lot of other guides recommending this map, however, it is definetely worth trying. Obselisk features a temple-like giga-structure with wide hallways that go deep beneath the ground, leading into murky catacombs.
Roleplay maps

This is a fully modeled city, complete with shops, apartments, business centre, bank, hospital, cinema, police station, night club, sewers and much much more! You can explore it solo and have fun with friends or get rage banned by a 9 months old “mayor” on dark rp.
