1.1 «On the surface»
1.2 «New life – but not for everyone»
He asked us to follow him to the elevator (photo 2) to do the initial examination, after which I only heard the door of the shelter slam, and something loudly exploded outside, as if the sun had fallen from the heavens. The elevator door closed…
After passing the examination, all the children were invited to show their future home but…..except me. Dr Carmel said to follow him. I saw a room where there was only a bed, a terminal, and a bunch of wires. As soon as I entered there, the door instantly closed, and a voice appeared in my ears, which told me to lie down on the bed and attach all the wires to the right side of my neck. After that, I only heard a squeak, and my vision went dark…
2. «Everything new is well forgotten old»
When I entered the basement, I realized from the symbols on the walls that the shelter was filled with gunners – it was a bad sign! I got out from the elevator and went straight, but then I suddenly glanced to the right, I realized that I couldn’t go further, because to get in I need to Find A Lab Card (Photo 1) Earlier, son of Dr Carmel – Hue owned this card, but now…
I entered in Atrium of Vault, where I had to deal with crowds of gunners, but, fortunately, they did not have much experience in fights. The guys were fans of drugs, so there were a lot of them here.
On the second floor I found the terminal in the corner of classroom, where almost all the entries were deleted, but the last one contain a story about Sue and Roy – children who once asked the Overseer about the surface. She told them about the horrors happening on the surface, about the poor people who need help! When the children asked who would become their protectors, the Overseer answered – you…” Then I just wandered around the shelter, stopping to inspect abandoned containers with ammunition and first aid kits, until I ended up in a strange place that looked like a training ground(photo 2). After killing the annoying gunner, I decided to take the challenge and its ending led me to a small tool box, opening which I found a Lab Card
3. «If you do it once, you can do it twice»
4. «If you work hard, something is bound to come of it»
5. «Efforts don’t always bring fruits»
The mission of Vault 75, above all, is the refinement of human genetics. In practice, this was embodied in the improvement of all body functions through the methods of selective breeding, hormonal therapy, genetic modification, accelerated generation cycles and intensive training.
Children were forced to exercise on simulators(often with danger to their health), and a lot of attention was paid to the development of the mental abilities of the experimental subjects and combat training.
Vault 75 had an important tradition – a kind of “graduation day”. When the subjects reached the age of 18, after the final tests, they allegedly “went to the outside world,”
but the reality was much darker. Those who met the set of requirements were killed, and their genome was studied and passed on to the next generation of children. Those “graduates” who did not meet the physical requirements, but showed a high level of intelligence and obedience, could, by decision of the Overseer, be offered to join the secret staff
-observers. Ordinary test subjects did not even know that there were other people in the Vault besides them and the Overseer. Subjects who did not meet all the requirements were cremated, as were candidates who rejected the offer to join the staff.
“I couldn’t find any information about myself other than the word “Vault 95″ because a fire occurred in archive, destroying the results of work for many years… Luckily, I knew where I need to go next!”
