Welcome to my achievement guide for Dungeons of Hinterberg!

I had such a lovely time in Hinterberg. I almost instantly fell in love with the gameplay and the story. I was also blown away by how much thought went into the game, the amount of Quality of Life features, and how deep the personalities of the other people were. For me this game was perfect! there was no stress of completing the game in X amount of days. And for the most part, the game is quite clear in its communication of what will happen if you make a specific choice.

There are a few missable achievements. Here are my tips to make sure you get those:
– The Commemorative Coin in the Beginner dungeon might be missable and you can’t return to that dungeon, so make sure to open every chest in the very first dungeon.
– You need to finish a new dungeon while being tired, redoing one you already completed doesn’t work. So stay up in your room when it is possible and the next day do a new dungeon.
– Manual save before doing your last dungeon, or maybe leave the dungeon halfway through and save then, so you don’t have to do it all the way. The moment you finish the last dungeon, you can’t go back to them anymore.

Slayer
Slay 100 monsters.
This one you’ll unlock early on, as the whole idea of this game is completing dungeons full of puzzles and monsters.

Still Shaking
Complete the Beginner Dungeon.
Make sure to pick up the Commemorative Coin in this dungeon before you leave as you don’t have the option to get back to this dungeon. All the others you can replay as long as you don’t finish the last dungeon.

Double Trouble
Complete 2 dungeons.
Story-related.

Beginner Slayer
Complete 5 dungeons.
Story-related.

Intermediate Slayer
Complete 10 dungeons.
Story-related.

Renowned Slayer
Complete 20 dungeons.
Story-related.

Completionist
Complete every dungeon.
Manual save before you finish the last dungeon, as you can’t go back to the dungeons once you’ve finished them all!

Running on Fumes
Finish a dungeon while tired.
This has to be a new dungeon, not a dungeon you’ve already cleared.

Something Rotten
Complete the secret dungeon.
At some point, you’ll find a letter under your hotel door for a secret meeting. This set the quest for this dungeon in motion.

The Commemorative Coin in the Beginners dungeon is missable. So make sure to open all the chests in the very first dungeon! The coins are automatically sorted in your inventory to list the dungeons from the hardest difficulty to the easiest. And again, make sure you make a manual save before finishing the very last dungeon, as you won’t be able to go back to the dungeons after finishing that one!

Find all Commemorative Coins.

Environmentalist
Sell 300 pieces of trash.
You’ll find trash all over the place. After you get to be buddies with Klaus and he can clean your weapons, he also will collect trash and give you a bit of money for it.

Charmed
Completely fill your charm stack, with no gaps or empty spaces.
Charms come in all different sizes, equip them in such a way that the whole grid is filled. I did this early on in the second area.

Efficiency
Shrink a charm down to one slot.
You’ll unlock the ability to shrink down charms just shortly after the Onion Festival. just shrik something down to 1 and you’ll unlock this. The materials can be found in dungeons and while exploring new areas.

Unlocked Potential
Unlock the third conduit slot.
If you have enough Renown you can hang out with Kai and that will unlock a third conduit slot.

Virtuoso
Use 7 different Attack Conduits.
Those are the spells that are attached to the right shoulder button. You can find new ones in some dungeons, by making friends but Hannah also sells 2 of them. Use 7 different ones for this achievement.

Enchanting
Enchant three swords.
You have to enchant 3 different weapons. This option unlocks if your friendship level with Hannah is 2.

Tough and Bluff
Upgrade one piece of every kind of armor.
At friendship level 3 with Hannah, this ability unlocks.

Buddies
Become “Buddies” with someone.
You’ll unlock his while you hang out with people, mostly during the evening activities.

Social Butterfly
Meet everyone listed in Alex’s notes.
This one you’ll unlock quite early on, keep an eye out on the map for the people you’re missing like the dog or Henning for example.

Furry Friend
Get acquainted with a dog.
You can find “wild strawberries” in the forest area, and sometimes in the evening, you’ll find the dog hanging out. Give him the strawberries. I found the strawberries before seeing the dog for the first time, not totally sure where I exactly got the “wild Strawberries”.

Generous Spirit
Give Someone a gift they really like.
Very early on in the story, you get the option to give people gifts. find the ones they really like.
Thea – Comic Book
Hannah – Purple Flower Bouquet?

Altruist
Save Hannah’s Shop.
This storyline will unlock around friendship level 2 with Hannah.

Dance of Death
Unlock the Combo Counter.
Spend an evening with Renaud.

Friendly Overtures
Reach “Friends “level with three people
Keep hanging out with the same people to unlock this. You need to reach level 3 with 3 people.

Heart to Heart
Complete a relationship with one person.
At some point during the story, this might not be possible, but it will be a little after that. I’m so glad that Alex was the first one, so the rest of the relationships level up faster.

Animal Lover
Feed a cow.
On the first map Doberkogel, there are cows behind fences, for example, northeast of the Skill Shrine. Get close to them and you get the prompt to feed them.

Water you looking for?
Find the chest hidden behind the waterfall.
The waterfall can be found in the lake area, directly behind the “Jelly Tunnels” dungeon entrance. The chest is locked, but finding the location of this chest is enough to trigger the achievement.

Grove Trove
Open all locked chests in Hinterwald.
This counts only for the chests in Hinterwald (forest area) and probably doesn’t count the locked chests. The name of the achievement is a hint, but one chest is hidden in a very sneaky spot.

Introvert
Spend 3 evenings alone
There are 3 activities in town you can do by yourself that will still increase your stats: Going to the movies, going to the Spa, and renting a boat at the boat rental.

Just Chilling
Spend the afternoon at three different Scenic Spots.
You’ll find Scenic Spots all over the place. Just spend 3 different afternoons at different Scenic Spots.

Night Owl
Stay up late three times.
I think the option to stay up late unlocks after the Onion Festival. Just stay up late 3 times and this unlocks. You have the option of watching TV for amusement or reading a book to get more familiarity.

Socialite
Spend an evening at the Grand Hotel.
This option opens up after the Mayor comes to talk to you personally and opens up the 4th area.

Relaxpert
Reach 200 Relaxation
Relax at Scenic Spots you can find and enjoy time with friends. Getting this stat up helps you with being able to fully use the benefits of restricted equipment. You’re on a vacation, you should relax a little ^^

We are Amused
Reach 200 Amusement.
This can be reached by hanging out with others, doing certain activities, but also by watching tv late at night. That last one will give you 25% less HP the next day.

Town Survivor
Make it through the Monster Rampage.
Story-related event.

Detective
Uncover Mayor’s Wagner’s plan.
Story-related event.

Hinterberg Hero.
Stop Mayor Wagner.
Story-related event.
