“Welcome to our guide for Deadlock heroes! Before we get started, it’s important to know that the game is still in its early stages and new heroes are constantly being added. This means that the rankings and abilities of existing heroes may change. However, we have compiled an updated tier list for you to reference. Let’s dive in!”
S Tier
LadyGeist
Shiv
Viscous
Deadlock boasts many exceptional heroes, with very few falling short, but the ones listed above truly stand out. Bebop, in particular, is an incredibly lethal option and arguably the top hero in Deadlock. He combines elements from various other MOBAs, most notably League’s Blitzcrank and Dota 2’s Pudge, wielding a long-range hook that can absolutely obliterate opponents.
The other heroes on the list also excel in their respective roles. Viscous is capable of dealing significant damage but thrives best as a support hero rather than a primary force, while Shiv (the latest hero at the time of writing) and Lady Geist are outstanding carry heroes, with the ability to deliver massive damage at every stage of the game—early, mid, and late.
A Tier
Wraith
Seven
Vindicta
Abrams
All the A-tier heroes are close to S-tier quality but fall short in a few key areas, keeping them just shy of the top spot. Among them, my favorite is Yamato, who excels as both a bullet damage carry and a spirit damage caster. Her versatility, combined with a high damage output and a unique skill set, makes her a standout in this tier.
Seven and Abrams, on the other hand, focus more on utility, providing strong frontlines and crowd control for their teams, while dealing significant physical and spirit damage. Vindicta and Wraith are both late-game powerhouses; they may take some time to build momentum, but once they hit their stride, one-shotting enemies becomes routine, making them incredibly effective at pushing for quick victories.
B Tier
Paradox
Ivy
Grey Talon
Two heroes on this list excel at rushing the enemy base, though they serve very different roles within their teams. McGinnis offers exceptional utility with her wall and turret setups, while Ivy is a true carry with a blisteringly fast rate of fire, making her a threat to both towers and enemies alike. However, their placement in the B-tier stems from their glaring lack of survivability. Even with powerful spells and items, they struggle to stay alive—particularly Ivy, who takes far too long to reach the power level that heroes like Vindicta can achieve with ease.
Grey Talon shines as an early-game carry but quickly loses effectiveness as the enemy team gains strength. He becomes vulnerable and easy to take down, with his flight being his only defensive tool, which can be countered relatively easily. Paradox, meanwhile, leans toward utility with her Vengeful Spirit-like ultimate, but ultimately (pun intended) falls short in terms of raw power.
C Tier
Mo & Krill
Lash
Dynamo
Now, I know some of you Warden mains might think I’m crazy for placing him so low, but hear me out. Warden’s effectiveness hinges on him being the most-fed, strongest player on the team. Without a clear advantage over his opponents, he loses much of his impact, which is why he lands in the C-tier.
That said, the gap between these tiers isn’t enormous. For instance, while Pocket doesn’t quite measure up to someone like Seven, he’s far from useless—he can still deal great damage and use his Dota 2-inspired Puck-like kit to cause chaos for the enemy team. Similarly, Dynamo is a solid hybrid of support and carry, able to fill either role depending on what the team needs, though he doesn’t excel as much as other heroes in either position.
Finally, Lash and Mo & Krill just need some further tuning, and they’ll likely climb higher in future rankings.
