In order to get the conquest achievement, famine and death have to be obtained in a single save file. This means that one must finish the game in less than an hour without dying once. This guide will help you obtain both of these achievements (or atleast, facilitate the process).
Introduction
Are you struggling with the famine/death achievements?
Don’t worry, I’m here to help.
This guide will aid you in taking on this incredibly hard task.
Weapons
You can do this with other weapons, it’s just that these two weapons are very good and offer unique advantages.
The Revenant is a powerful pistol that has very high damage and great wall penetration capabilities.
This is great because it can be used to skip certain missions. It also can instantly kill heavy enemies (bouncers, night crawlers and sergeants) with a single headshot and can also penetrate multiple enemies with a single bullet.
The only drawbacks it has is its small reserve ammo, it’s below average accuracy and the fact that it’s very loud.
The Death and Taxes on the other hand has a higher fire rate and more bullets, good damage and instantly kills normal enemies with a single headshot and heavier enemies with 2-3. It’s only drawback is that its accuracy is a bit worse than the Revenant’s
These two will cover you in 98% of situations.
Alongside with that, a cheap secondary weapon is necessary. I’ll explain a bit later.
Souls and Achievements
You should visit him the moment you hit 80 souls so you can get the Death and taxes, that’ll trigger the “Coinage” achievement which gives +20 souls and spend those souls to buy a secondary.
Same thing for the Revenant (without the secondary part). The second time you reach 80 souls, go to Charon and get the Revenant with haste.
Now, in order to get souls quickly, I’d advise you to do some easy achievements.
Like:
– The “Dethroned” achievement
– The “Pugilist” achievement
– The “Acrobat” achievement
– The “Nah, I’m good” achievement
– The “Pirouette” achievement
– The “Professional” achievement
– The “Traditional” achievement
After getting those, I wouldn’t recommend getting more weapons in order to save time.
Souls tactics
You should have about 10 souls after the tutorial, around 40 after the first mission (because of the clocked in achievement) and 50 after doing the second mission.
A good idea would be to finish the “pugilist” and “traditional” achievements so that you can have 90 souls after you finish the second mission. Try doing the second mission with only the hammer at the front entrance.
After that you should visit Charon and get the D&T and either a knife or hammer. You should end up with 10 souls. After that you should try to get “dethroned” on the next level (I’ll account for it at the strategies). With that, you should have 40 souls again by the fourth mission. After that, I’d advise you to go for the “Nah,I’m Good” achievement so you can have 70 souls by the fifth mission.
If all goes well, you should have another 80 souls by the sixth mission. That means it’s time for your second visit to Charon. This time for the Revenant. After that you shouldn’t bother with more achievements or Charon.
If you wish to use the scythe, you should attempt the other achievements that I listed above.
Essentials
Essentials (Primary duplication glitch)
This glitch essentially doubles your primary. With double the firepower, you’ll be able to deal with missions that would normally cause you trouble.
This is how you do it:
Step 1: Select a primary you wish to duplicate
Step 2: Equip your secondary and switch to it
Step 3: Go to your car and unselect your secondary
Step 4:Now, you should have two primaries
It’s very simple and doubles your firepower. It also works with special weapons.
The only drawback is that you waste some seconds to do this glitch.
This glitch also has some more niche uses which I’ll talk in depth below.
Essentials (Death prevention)
Knowing that you have a safety net, I’d say that you should be less afraid to make mistakes.
Of course, every time you do this trick you waste some time but it’s way better than having to abandon an entire attempt.
To be more efficient, I’d say that you should be more aggressive at the beginning of the level (if you “die” you lose less time) and start playing defensively the more you progress through a mission.
Niche Uses for the weapon duplication glitch (1)
This could be useful but having two of the same primary is more than enough.
So, go back to step 2 from the weapon duplication glitch :
Have both a primary and a secondary (I’ve got a revenant and a hammer for example) . Then switch to your secondary.
After that go to your car.
Then, unequip your secondary and change your primary to the want you want to accompany your previous primary. In this example, I’ll change my Revenant to the Death & Taxes. This means that I’ll have both a Revenant and the Death & Taxes.
That’s pretty much it.
Now I have both a Revenant and a Death & Taxes!
Niche uses for the weapon duplication glitch (2)
Did you know that you can duplicate it? Okay.
Did you know that you can use it in other missions? Let me show you.
First, you want to duplicate the grenade launcher. You can do that just like any other primary.
Before :
After :
That’s nice… Now, press Esc and Quit the mission.
After that pick any mission that you want ( for this example I picked the Vall mission)
As you can see, I now have a grenade launcher in Vall’s mission! Incredible!
It can even be duplicated again!
You should experiment with this glitch, it might prove a bit useful.
Tips and tricks
– You can use cameras (zombie head that shrieks) as a way to lure enemies to you in order to kill them. Though, it might be a bit dangerous.
– Shooting the lights out lowers the spotting range of the enemies. It also prevents Vall (Sniper Demon) from spotting you.
– Normal enemies ( Zombie w/ 9mm or baseball bat, vampire w/ 10mm or knives, skeleton grunt and technician and demon w/ baseball bat or m16) die with a single hammer/knife throw.
– Bouncers and nightcrawlers might not die from a single sawn-off shot if you’re not right up to them, if you’ve got a bit of distance, play it safe and shoot twice.
– Take out Skeleton technicians as fast as possible. You can shoot their own mines in order to kill them too. (Useful if you have a gun that can shoot through walls.)
– Madam Stela doesn’t need to reload.
– Nightcrawlers and Skeleton Sergeants can’t be stunlocked using a hammer.
– Killing a camera/ destroying a phylactery with a thrown knife/hammer won’t waste the thrown weapon.
– You can use loud weapons/microwaves to lure enemies to you.
– Some enemies drop weapons on death, these include :
The bouncer zombies = sawn off shotgun ( 2 shells)
The headless zombies = mac10 ( half mag)
Puff Boss = 10mm Pistol ( full mag)
The bartender vampires = pump – action shotgun ( 5 shells)
The nightcrawler vampires = silenced PDW ( half mag)
Madam Stella = pump – action shotgun ( 5 shells)
The sergeant skeletons = sledgehammer
The technician skeletons = single shot grenade launcher
The maiden demons = M-16 ( half mag)
– The sledgehammer instantly kills every enemy and can hit multiple enemies .
– Doorways can be used to close the gap between you and enemies, making certain melee weapons more useful .
– Deactivate power boxes in order to temporarily shut down the power to all light sources . This will force some enemies into coming to you and some others to stray far away from their patrol routes.
– Get to cover when possible (unless if you’re confident that you can eliminate the threat before it escalates to a gunfight).
– Ronald has the highest health of all the bosses. (around 500hp)
– The scythe is a great melee weapon. Despite the fact that this guide doesn’t choose it because of it’s ludicrous 200 soul cost and minimal range, this doesn’t mean that you can’t use it. Just remember that normal enemies die in a single hit and heavy enemies die in 2-3 hits. It’s a risky weapon to use.
– You can experiment on your own and find strategies on different levels too.
– Some enemies can shoot through walls and doors (Puff, vampires w/ 10mm pistols, grunt skeletons).
– Patriarch Demons have to rev-up their miniguns before they can shoot.
– Some missions have transition areas (for example, in the 3rd drenched mission, after you clear the first bar), these will refill the weapon you’re holding out and remove your secondary weapon. Make sure to choose your primary wisely before those.
– You can dodge some melee attacks if you’re fast enough.
– Sometimes it’s worth it to knock on locked doors so you can have an enemy open them up for you.
– On some levels, you don’t have to kill all the enemies to finish the mission.
– Try to relax and remain calm. Panicking or being anxious will hinder your performance.
– Nightcrawlers have the best vision out of all the enemies alongside with night vision.
– Cerberus have the best hearing out of all the enemies but can’t open doors. (they are also extremely hard to dodge)
– Watch speedruns or walkthroughs of the game and take notes of the paths, tactics and guns used.
Time management
Now, this means that on average, you should complete every mission in less than 2 minutes in order to make time. This isn’t all that accurate since you’ll have missions which might take more time (Usually drenched missions). This should be used as a way to know if you’re saving time. If you’re finishing missions in less than 2 minutes you’ll be saving time for the more time intensive missions.
Something to note is the timer doesn’t count time spent in cutscenes. This means that your timer is somewhat inaccurate. This also means that you can use the cutscenes as a small break. Anyways, back to the timer. As a general rule, try to keep a close estimate to the cutscene time or just skip them outright. You should know that you have a bit more time due to the cutscenes.
Player’s shooting skill and mission layout knowledge
You must play this game a couple of times to get to know some of the level layouts and train your aim. If you can headshot atleast 75% of the time then you’ve got some alright odds.
I’d suggest that you try to finish the campaign multiple times as fast as possible without caring about deaths, something like training.
Whilst you’re doing that, use some of the strategies listed below and some of the tricks listed above.
Get accustomed to the weapons, the movement, the time etc.
It will help alot.
The strategy (Prelude)
Communicating through images
Let’s start with the colours, depending on the colour of the text, the meaning changes.
Red corresponds to killing.
Yellow corresponds to moving.
Cyan corresponds to paying attention.
Green corresponds to useful information.
So, for example, if there’s a red circle on an enemy, it means that you’ll have to kill that enemy. If there’s a yellow line, it means that you’ll have to follow that line to reach the next destination. If there’s a Cyan circle on a weapon or keycard, it means that you should pick it up. Lastly, if there’s a circle on an enemy (usually with an arrow pointing at information) it means that the strategy tells you how that enemy will most actually behave.
Now, lets move to shapes. We talked about circles, now lets talk about the letter x. When I use that letter, it will most likely will either be yellow or green. It indicateds where you or an enemy should stand.
Rarely, to show you where to aim, I will use red lines to indicate so. That’s it.
I will also write a description alongside these images in order to avoid misunderstandings.
Hope I didn’t confuse you. If I did, I’m very sorry.
The not-so-hard missions

Zombie Kingz 5 – “Follow the Hounds” —> Duplicate Death & Taxes and use the microwave
Zombie Kingz 8 – “Supply and Demand” —> Focus on headshots and use wall piercing
1000 Royals 6 – “A lot to give” —> Prepare for the ambushes and aim for the head
1000 Royals 7 – “Sir Stela” —> Watch out for hidden skeletons, use vents, duplicate the Revenant, shoot through walls and shoot the lights

Dredged 2 – “Structurally Sound” —> Focus on the technicians
Dredged 6 – “Drive Thru” —> Focus on headshots, pick up weapons and use vents
Dredged 7 – “As a Glass” —> Duplicate the grenade launcher
Mission 3 (Zombie Kingz – “Smoke Signals”)
You can now open the door and blast the zombie punk & bouncer. This will alert the zombies below (and maybe the zombies above), you should enter the staircase and immidiately kill the punk at the sofa. Following that, kill the zombie with the hockey stick and then burn the drugs.
After killing the zombies and burning the drugs, open the hallway door and blast the two zombies there aswell. Keep moving and burn more Ash.
Once you reach the end of the hallway, open the door and kill the zombie on the couch, this will alert the zombie that’s right below him. Move to the staircase and move down if the patrolling zombie punk is not looking at your direction. Start shooting immidiately and aim for the head for the best results. Now, the bouncer below might have heard you.
You should kill the zombie that’s waiting in the next room. Now, if the bouncer heard you, wait for him to get up the staircase and blast them. If he hasn’t heard you, go down, kill him and burn the last pile of Ash.
Mission 4 (Zombie Kingz – “Puff”)
Get in to the vent and wait until the patrolling bouncer is not facing you. Exit the vent above and blast both the punk and the bouncer. Puff will most likely notice so be prepared.
Now, pick up one of the two sawn – off shotguns. Go up the staircase and kill the zombie using your Death & Taxes. The two bouncers will hear you and begin investigating. Descend the staircase immidiately and prepare.
After a bit of time, the bouncers will descend the staircase. In the meantime, stand near the staircase with your sawn – off shotgun and prepare to instantly kill them.
Puff will most likely try to come towards you. You should wait until he reaches his office’s door. After that, go upstairs and blast him twice with your sawn – off shotgun.
Once that’s done, rush to his desk and get the information. Descend the staircase, use the vent and leave the building with haste.
This will also get you the “Nah,I’m good” achievement, that’s 20 extra souls.
Mission 6 (Zombie Kingz – “The Bogeyman”)
First off, duplicate the silenced pistol. Then enter the house and shoot the camera.
Once that’s done, enter the vent (It leads to the objective room).
Once you exit the vent, headshot the zombie infront of you. If you happen to miss, the other enemies will definitely hear you. After that, shoot the light and quickly kill the bouncer and the punk next to him.
Now, all you have to do is get the information and leave. After you get the information, the zombie outside the room can’t see you so don’t worry about it. Make sure to pay attention to the patrolling zombie below and you should be settled.
This mission can be done in less than 35 seconds if you’re fast enough.
Mission 7 (Zombie Kingz – “No Vacancy”)
Other than that, this mission can be completed in alot of ways (That’s why I can’t give you a specific strategy). I’d suggest that you duplicate the Revenant and use it’s piercing abilities to shoot the heads through a wall, shoot/turn off the lights and lure enemies with sound. And… that’s it.
Mission 9 (Zombie Kingz – “Ronald”)
Thankfully, this mission is rather easy. You should start it with whatever weapon you have in order to save time.
First off, enter the vent on the left and exit on the highlighted vent. Make sure to leave the vent after the patrolling zombie isn’t facing you.
After that quickly get into the staircase before the headless zombies detect you. Then, get ready to fight both Ronald and one of his punks. The moment you open the door, start blasting both of them. Make sure to aim for the head since Ronald has alot of health.
This will most likely alert the bouncer and the zombie below so run fast to the other staircase and rush for the exit.
If done correctly, this mission can be done in less than 19 seconds. This gives you a huge advantage.
And that’s all for the Zombie Kingz missions.
Mission 10 (1000 Year Royals – “Night out”)
At the roof, cut off the power and move towards the right edge of the roof. The two vampires that are below you will notice and attempt to investigate.
Kill the two vampires below you and prepare for the other two vampires that are making their way towards you. Now, a third vampire will also come up shortly after to check aswell.
After killing them, go down and kill the other vampire that’s investigating. Then, move to the left and kill the vampire that’s looking at the corpses.
Pick up the 10mm Pistol and proceed to the right. Be careful, there are enemies there.
Kill the vampires and take the keycard that one of them will drop.
Continue to the right, drop down towards the back entrance of the nightclub. Knock on the door and
hide in the shadows so that they won’t be able to see you. Once the door opens kill the two zombies and the vampire. After that, take his keycard.
Open the door to your left and kill the vampire. Pick up the 9mm SMG and proceed downstairs where the last keycard is. Kill the vampire and take his keycard. By now, you should have all the necessary keycards.
Go up and prepare to enter the room to your left. Enter the room, kill both vampires and open the safe.
Then all you have to do is escape. Just move to the left until you reach the car.
Mission 11 (1000 Year Royals – “Lux in Tenebris”)
[Though, I did manage to finish this level below 1 minute and 50 seconds without using any specific strategy./b]
Mission 12 (1000 Year Royals – The Bloody Mary)
The Bartender above will try to make his way down, grab the shotgun that the other Bartender dropped and instantly kill him once he descends. Then, ascend the stairs. Watch out though, alot of enemies will be waiting for you.
Once you go up, kill everyone on the second floor. Shoot all vampires and Phylacteries.
Use your Revenant or the 10mm Pistol on the ground to shoot at the Phylactery above you through the wall. Pick up the shotgun and the keycards that the previous Bartenders dropped.
After that, continue upwards.
Kill the vampire Bartender and his Phylactery in the room to your left. The vampire that is in the leftmost bathroom might hear you. You should kill him too. Make sure to pick up the keycard.
Go down and open the safe.
Then, just leave the building through the staircase on the right.
Mission 13 (1000 Year Royals – “Bottle Service”)
Following that, open the valve and burn the drugs in that room. Then, if the vampires above have heard you and are coming towards you, hold your ground and kill them. Otherwise, continue by going up the staircase to your left. Kill the other bartender and pick up his shotgun. After that burn the Ash next to him.
There should be a 10mm Pistol on the ground next to the bartender. Pick that up, close the lights and shoot the enemies above through the wall. Prepare to kill them with your shotgun when they come down to investigate.
There might still be some enemies above. If so, kill them and proceed to your right. Make sure to open the valves on the roof.
Once you reach the rightmost edge of the roof, jump down until you reach a locked door.
Lockpick the door and enter. Burn the drugs on both floors.
Once that’s over with, go through the vent in the middle of the room and reach the room to your left. There, open the valve and burn the Ash. Then enter the vent and reach the drugs above and burn them.
Then use the staircase to go up and enter the vent to your left. Through the vent, reach the secluded area where the last Ash package is and burn it.
That’s pretty much it. Use the vent to your left to reach the floor above, jump down to your left and continue until you reach your car and escape.
Mission 14 (1000 Year Royals – “Amber & Evelynn”)
Exit the vent and kill both vampires that are in the room. The vampire below you will hear you. Rush above and instantly kill the first Twin with your shotgun. Then run to the valve and turn it.
Run back to the staircase and go down. The vampire that heard you will make his way up, kill him.
After this, descend the other staircase and kill the vampire that’s sitting on the bed. Now, go up again and pick up the 10mm Pistol. After that, go down again and run towards the staircase.
Use the staircase to go down and move to the right. Continue until you reach the other building to your right.
Enter the building and shoot the vampire that’s on the entrance’s ceiling. Then, shoot the Cerberus in the other room once through the door. The enemies will try to come to you, so prepare to kill them. After you kill the Cerberus and the two other vampires, enter the room and kill the zombie.
There’s a hammer on the ground, pick it up if you’re running low on ammunition. Proceed through the vent and go up.
Exit the vent and kill the zombie Bouncer that’s infront of you. Take his Sawn – off shotgun and head downstairs. Blast the vampires twice and make sure the phylactery is destroyed. Take the bartender’s shotgun and head upstairs again. Pick up the 10mm Pistol off the ground.
Shoot the enemies above you through the wall with your 10mm Pistol once. Use your shotgun to kill them once they descend the staircase (the vampire w/ two knives will take a bit longer to come down, you should wait a bit). Once the two Cerberus and the knife wielding vampire are dead you’ll be good to proceed.
After killing them, go up and immidiately get some cover. Let Evelyn shoot you whilst you’re in cover and then pop out of cover to shoot her to bits. Once she’s incapacitated, run to the valve an turn it. Without wasting any more time, get into the vent and go towards the other Twin.
Exit the vent, equip your shotgun and instantly kill her. Then, use the vent to reach the car and escape.
Mission 17 (1000 Year Royals – “Forced Conversion”)
As well as that, if you burn all three ash totems, an ambush will start with 4 skeleton cars stopping outside the nightclub and spawning around 6 skeleton Sergeants and 6 skeleton Grunts (Rough estimate). To avoid this, we will leave one ash totem for the end in order to avoid the ambush.
As always, duplicate the Death & Taxes and open the first door. Kill the two skeletons guarding the entrance but don’t burn the first ash totem! You will need it for later. Next up, enter the vent and go to the toilets.
Exit the vent and try to burn the ash totem in the bathroom. Make sure to avoid the skeleton Sergeant
that’s in there. After that, get into the vents and move towards the upper part of the nightclub. All you have to do now is wait for the timer to reach 60 seconds. Make sure that you’re in a vent when it happens, otherwise you’ll also turn into ash!
Once the timer reaches 60 seconds, the screen will flash white for a bit and all the vampires will turn into ash. You can now safely exit the vent and move towards the doorway to your right. Go up the staircase and enter the vent that’s also to your right. Traverse to the other end and exit the vent. Without delay, open the door and blast the two skeleton Grunts inside the room. A Sergeant that is hiding outside will hear you and pop up, put him down too. Following that, burn the ash totem in the room.
After burning the totem, take the vent to your left and reach the other vent at the rightmost side of the roof. Exit it and descend the staircase. Get inside the vent to your left right away and exit at the vent that’s close to the entrance. There’s the ash totem we ignored at the start, make sure to burn it. Now, as soon as you burn it, an ambush will start. No worries, all you have to do is rush back to your car and escape.
Mission 18 (1000 Year Royals – “Madam Stela”)
I also heavily suggest that you shoot out the lights.
The image below shows the tommy gun,the power box and the lights.
Goodluck with this one.
If you managed to pass the 1000 Year Royal mission, the rest shouldn’t be that hard.
Mission 21 (The Dredged – “Bar Hopping”)
Enter the vents and exit on the floor above. Try to line up your shot so that your kill both skeletons with one bullet. There’s a hidden skeleton Sergeant in the room and this will alert him (if for some reason he doesn’t get alerted, come a bit closer to his location and shoot at the lamp next to him.) Once you kill all of them, head downstairs. There’s a skeleton at the right balcony that you should headshot through the door with your rifle. After that’s done, use the vent to reach the room where the technician was and the head right. Make sure to have the bolt – action rifle equipped.
Important note: If you pass continue though to the transition zone between the first and second part of the level, the weapon that you were holding will have it’s ammo replenished and your other weapon will be removed. Same thing applies after you finish the second part and pass through the transition zone between the second and third part of the level. Take this into consideration.
After ypu reach the second bar, pick up the hammer and either throw it or beat the technician with it. This will alert the skeletons inside the bar. Enter the bar and kill them. This might trigger some hidden skeleton Sergeans that are hiding in the other room. If this isn’t the case, come closer to the other room’s door and shoot, then immidiately get some distance and prepare to fight. Once that’s over, we can move to the next step.
Proceed to the next room, pick up the old – war rifle from the ground and go up the stairs. Enter the vent to your right and exit above. Get close to the left edge and kill both technicians. After that’s over, get down and continue to the left. I’d suggest that you hold out an old – war rifle.
Upon arriving to the previous bar, quickly enter the door and pick up the other old – war rifle. Then enter the other door on the left and kill the Lich (and if he managed to revive anyone, kill them too). Then, return back to the previous room, go to vent to your right and use it to go to the balcony above. There you must open the door and enter the other vent to your left. Take that vent and exit on the floor above behind the skeletons. After exiting unload into them until they die.
Since you’ve killed everyone, enter the vent again and exit near the car and then escape.
Mission 22 (The Dredged – “Horror Show”)
Now, if the Lich that is upstairs decides to come down and try to revive them, wait and kill him. If that’s not the case, go upstairs and kill both the Lich and the Sergeant. The skeleton in the next room might hear you so be ready to fight.
After killing the Lich and the Sergeant, open the door shoot the Skeleton grunt and the other Lich in the room to your right.
Upon killing them, go down the staircase and kill the Skeleton grunt and Sergeant below. This will help later. If you killed them and you have little remaining ammo, backtrack and get the 9mm smg on the ground. Otherwise, backtrack and pick up the old – world rifle.
After all that’s done, continue to the next room and kill the technician. If he has placed mines, you can shoot them through a wall or door with the old – world rifle.
Get some distance and shoot the dogs once through the wall, this will get their attention. Kill them once they descend the stairs and keep some distance. After that is done, the technician below might have heard you. If so, kill him. Now, ascend the stairs.
Once you ascend the stairs, shoot the camera above you through the wall until it dies. Then go up to the room that the camera is and head to the right. Open the locked door and pick up the bolt – action rifle. After that, kill the technician and descend into the loading bay. There, shoot the skeletons from a distance. Once the skeletons are dead, go for the objective.
After you’ve obtained the information, descend through the crates and rush for the staircase. Descend the staircase and enter the vent to your right. Through the vent, exit at the vent that’s closest to the car.
Mission 23 (The Dredged – “Timur The Tinkerer”)
Once the trap is disarmed, go to the door infront of you and knock on it. This will get the attention of the Sergeant at the other side. Make sure to take cover behind the couch because once the Sergeant opens the door, the triple shotgun trap will activate. This will kill the Sergeant only, hopefully. The skeletons above will most likely hear the shotgun trap and after a while they will investigate. Make sure to enter the vent before they come downstairs. Once the all skeletons have gone downstairs, exit the vent an enter the next room. Again, enter the other vent and exit behind the shotgun trap.
Upon exiting the vent, shoot one of Timur’s mines through the wall in order to kill him. This will alert the other skeleton Sergeant which will come to investigate. Get into the vent on the right fast. The Sergeant will get blasted by the shotgun trap the moment he opens the door. Now, exit the vent near the next room’s door and disarm the trap that shot the Sergeant. With the trap disarmed, you can walk safely through the door. Go up the stairs and enter the vent. You can now safely exit the vent that is inside Timur’s room.
At Timur’s room, get the information and run towards the vent to the right. First, open the vent valve and then reach the roof though the vent. All you have to do after that is jump off the room back to your car.
With this stategy, it can be done in less than a minute.
Mission 26 (The Dredged – “Vall”)
Firstly, duplicate the Death & Taxes and enter the vent on your left. Make your way into the bathroom and quickly kill the demon in the next room. After that close the lights.
If the enemies in the other room haven’t heard you already, move towards them and kill them. Otherwise, wait for them to come to you. The demon patriachs (Minigun demons) have alot of health, so aim for the head.
After that’s out of the way, enter the next room to your right and shoot the lights. This will most likely alert the demons in the next room. Make sure to kill both the demons and the camera, we don’t want the demons at the centre to get alerted. There’s also a shuriken that could be useful in the room.
Upon killing the demons and the camera, go upstairs and enter the vent to your left and use it to reach the vent that’s on the other side of the building.
After exiting the vent, immidiately close the lights. Once that’s done, open the door and start blasting all the demons. You must use headshot and focus on all the burst – rifle demons (Maiden Demons).
Once every enemy is dead on this floor, pick any burst rifles or keep your Death & Taxes. Now, go upstairs and shoot all the lights. After that, call the elevator and proceed to the next part of the mission.
Important note: Upon moving to the next level, the weapon that you’re currently holding will be fully refilled and your secondary will be removed. So, I’d suggest you hold out either a burst rifle (M16) or your Death & Taxes.
Upon ascending, rush out of the elevator and close the lights. Pick up the 32. revolver on the ground. Then, knock on the door and get some cover. A demon will come to open the door and then you can start blasting all of them.
The moment you kill the demons, enter the room and close the lights. After doing that, enter the next room, kill the patrolling burst rifle demon and shoot the lights. This will alert the Cerberus and demon above. You should wait for them to come to you for an easy kill.
After this, all you have to do is get to the sniper rifle. I’d suggest that you shoot the lights on your way there for the extra safety. Then, all you have to do is shoot vall and exit the building.
I managed to finish this mission in a bit over 2 minutes. The strategy relies mostly on death prevention.
Mission 27 (The Dredged – “Ibzan”)
This is the last mission. Don’t worry though, it’s not difficult. You should start by duplicating the Death & Taxes. Kill the demon patriatch in the next room using your sniper support. Then, continue to the right, ignore all the enemies above you.
Continue to the right until you can see the big building that the portal is in. Use your sniper support to kill the demon maiden that’s on the upper part of the building, overseeing the entrance.
Move closer to the building, before you enter, use your sniper support on all ranged enemies that are on the ground floor. Then, enter and blast all the melee enemies with your Death & Taxes (be careful, there still might be some more ranged enemies).
Now, activate the portal (Press “E” on it). Keep an eye out for the enemies above, just in case any of them either falls down/ uses the staircase.
Once the portal is ready, go through (Press “E” again).
Note : Your weapons will be both be removed and then will be replaced with a 32. revolver upon entering the portal.
You’ve been teleported to a snowy place, continue to the right towards your last fight.
Here, you have two options. You either go inside of the well first in order to get information or you get inside of the house so you can destroy all the lights and grab better weapons. The first option is faster whilst the second option is safer. I’d suggest the second option but you get to choose.
I will continue with the second option, you should go inside the house and use your 32. revolver to shoot some of the lights. Throughout the house, you’ll find multiple powerful weapons. I’d suggest that you use the Revenant and the 32. revolver for destroying the lights. Keep the Death & Taxes and the Headhunter for the bossfight. There’s also a scythe at the 3rd floor to the right. Use whatever weapon you want.
Once you’ve shot all the lights and have your weapons prepared, return to the entrance.
At the entrance, enter the well and talk to the flames.
After talking to the flames, return to the house. Ibzan is waiting inside. I won’t offer more strategies since he teleports to random places. Instead I’ll offer some advice. Your headhunter has the best accuracy and highest headshot damage. Coupled with the fact that all the lights are off, you can snipe him from affar. You can also use the vents to get good shooting angles. Once you “defeat him”, he will teleport and wait near the well. It would be wise for you to shoot him from the darkness.
After you’ve killed Ibzan, return to the flames and talk to the flames. The achievements should be yours after that.
This concludes the strategy part.
End of the guide
