“Looking to conquer Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and earn all the achievements? Look no further! Our guide includes step-by-step instructions and helpful pictures to make every achievement a breeze. Let’s dive in and achieve 100%!
Introduction
Photojournalist
Self explanatory. This should be the first achievement you should receive. During the intro in the helicopter, photograph anything.
Welcome to Hell
Also self explanatory, unmissable.
Group Photo
From the intro/Entrance Plaza, take a picture of either the zombies outside from the top floor, or the zombies trying to break into the barricade.
Portraiture/Census Taker
You can get this one from the intro as well. There are 11 survivors standing around the Entrance Plaza, so photograph each of them.
Near the end of the game if you go to the back of the safehouse you can photograph all the survivors you have previously saved.
Free Fall
Also achievable from the intro. Climb the stairs in the Entrance Plaza and drop back down to the first floor.
Transmissionary
This one is higher on this list as you will need to answer calls from the time you enter the warehouse to whenever you get the achievement. You can miss I believe 8 or 9 calls but this game is far more lenient as you can still attack and get grabbed and it won’t reset the call. Just make sure you’re answering his calls and this one is pretty easy.
Costume Party
3 kinds of novelty masks appear in Paradise Plaza: Servbot heads in Child’s Play, and horse/bear masks in Ye Old Toybox. This is an easy way to get the photograph for Kent’s sidequest, so lock this picture.
Strike!
You can get this as soon as you exit the warehouse and enter Paradise Plaza. You can get a bowling ball either next to the whale statue near Colby’s Movie Land, or on the second floor of SporTrance.
Nice Shot!
This is another easy one. Grab a golf club from the 2nd floor of SporTrance and exit to Leisure Park. Aim as high as you can and shoot a golf ball.
Zombie Road
This one is rather easy. You should get Zombie Ride around level 5. Just jump on the back of a tight group of zombies and walk in a circle.
Stunt Rider
You can do this one before you help Brad if you’d like. There’s 2 motorcycles; 1 in the Parking Lot outside Leisure Park, and 1 after you defeat Isabella in the North Plaza. You can get the one from the Parking Lot inside North Plaza, you just have to angle yourself correctly. Once in North Plaza, just floor it off of one of the ramps outside Seon’s Food & Stuff.
Raining Zombies
This is easy to do when you’re following Brad to the Entrance Plaza from Al Fresca Plaza. Just pick up one of the umbrella things from around the fountain and bump 10 zombies out of the way.
Never Give Up
All you have to do for this one is either fail a Case, or die (I think) then pick restart story. OR you can just complete the entire game including overtime, and then start a second playthrough.
Juice Freak
For this one I have made a separate guide, showing the effects and some combinations. Quick note that most ingredients can be found in the Food Court as well as Al Fresca Plaza, but Energizer is annoying as most of the combinations require cabbage which is found in Seon’s Food & Stuff in North Plaza.

Humanist/Saint
This one requires a flawless playthrough, so if anyone dies just restart from your last autosave. There are some hidden survivors which don’t have their own individual scoops so you will need to make sure you understand when and where they will be. Zombaits and the new survivor damage reduction book inside the Food Plaza are recommended. REMEMBER there can only be 8 survivors in the mall in total not just in your party, and you will also need to complete all scoops. ALSO TAKE A PICTURE OF THE VENT LEADING TO THE SECURITY ROOM The HIDDEN tag only applies to the survivor directly underneath

Full Set
This should unlock after completing the “Saint” achievement above. You do not have to do this is one playthrough, just on the same save file.
Self Defense/Punisher
CARLITO CONVICTS AND ISABELLA DON’T COUNT I DO NOT KNOW IF BROCK COUNTS
You have to defeat every psycopath in the game besides the ones above. There are 10 for this trophy:
Kent (During his bossfight)
Cletus
Adam
Cliff
Jo
Roger Jack & Thomas
Sean
Paul (You can still save him)
Steven
Larry
Also here is the link to my guide for good beginner weapons incase you’re struggling with any of them.

Psycho Photo
CARLITO CONVICTS AND ISABELLA DON’T COUNT
Self explanatory. Whenever you are in a boss battle snap a quick photo of the psychopath.
Kent (When he’s attacking you)
Adam
Cliff
Jo
Roger Jack & Thomas
Sean
Paul (When he’s attacking you)
Steven
Larry
Carjacker
Once you defeat the Convicts in Leisure Park, enter their vehicle to unlock this trophy.
Mall Worker
To do this, you must have defeated Adam the Clown. After he is defeated, you have to go up to the space ride’s console and turn it off. Afterwards you have to follow Greg to the woman’s bathrooms downstairs where he will show you the shortcut. Here’s me in front of it.
Bullet Point
Using my SMG locations guide and/or killing the Convicts for their machine gun, you can easily get this done without much hassle.

Item Smasher
This will happen naturally across your playthrough, though if you need things to get you over the finish line, planters, cash registers, and soda cans, cds, plates break easily. Throwing items at zombies doesn’t count I think.
Marathon Runner
This one should happen naturally across your playthrough. I got this when I hit the half way mark of my game.
The Artiste
To achieve this, you need to snap photos of survivors when they do something i.e. Jeff and Natalie hugging at the beginning, I think Kent’s karate kick, and my personal favorite, Ronald from the Restaurant Man scoop after giving him food.
No, Thank You
Self explanitory. Cultists will start spawning after The Cult unmarked scoop. Kill 100 of them, but be careful as they can knock you out and make you lose your items. The mini chainsaw, and machete make quick work of them.
PP Photo/PP Collector
This is considerably easier in the Deluxe Remaster. Press pause, go to Album, and go to PP stickers. Here it will show you what ones you have photographed, tell you the Plaza of each individual one, and show you where their exact location is. There are 2 that require you to get captured by the True Eye cultists. Just stand in front of them and don’t regain your balance. You will respawn with no items in the place that has 2 hidden ones. Here’s one of them.
If you need more help here’s a link to a video showing every one.
Sharp Dresser/Clothes Horse
This one takes a while sadly. Make sure you have some down time or are on a non serious run.
Here’s a link to a video showing all locations without duplicates. Don’t worry that it’s footage from the original game, it’s the exact same.
Snuff Shot B/Snuff Shot J *SPOILERS*
To find zombie Brad, you must be have just completed 7-2. After the cutscene of Carlito locking him in with the zombies happens, go back down to this location.
A small cutscene will play showing Brad mortally wounded and turning into a zombie.
For Jessie, once you have completed The Facts, go to the Security Room and she will bust out of the door Dr. Barnaby was locked in. She is pretty much unmissable.
Level Max
See PP stickers, and Saint achievements. This should happen naturally across a single playthrough including overtime. If not then just play on the same save file.
3 Day Survivor/OVERTIME MODE
You will get these after you beat the game with the A ending. Complete all Cases and be at the heliport at noon.
Rampage
To do this easily, run around the Plazas and look for the special force guys with the rocket launchers (The big red dot laser is how you tell) and stockpile as many as you can hold. Then go down to the Maintenance Tunnels and hit large clusters of zombies.
Legendary Soldier/Karate Champ
This one can be tricky just because the special forces are so busted currently. To give yourself the best chance, have a ton of orange juices on hand. This is the strat: Dodge roll right up close to them, and use the disembowel/face crusher move on them. Repeat as necessary.
Hella Copter
This one is easy if you know what you’re doing. First go to the gun store in North Plaza and pick up a sniper rifle. Go outside to Leisure Park and wait until you can see the helicopter. One shot should be enough to make it retreat.
∞ Mode
All you have to do for this one is complete overtime mode and defeat Brock. Very simple.
Tour Guide/Grateful Eight
This one requires basically it’s own run to achieve, unless you’re ok with killing survivors. Thankfully this one isn’t too hard. Important to note you do not have to continue the main story you can let it fail.
Day 1: I recommend completing “Backup for Brad” and “An Odd Old Man”. This will clear the Food Court for you to run through. Kill or ignore all scoops before 9pm. At 9pm the “Out of Control” scoop starts so go defeat Adam and save Greg, and then kill him after he shows you the shortcut. DO NOT SKIP GETTING THE SHORTCUT.
Day 2: Kill the “Lovers” scoop survivors and any others as you wait for 8am. Once you get the “Hatchet Man” scoop, go fast to the North Plaza and kill Cliff. Once you have the key, unlock the survivors in the abandoned store outside Crislips. IT IS IMPERATIVE YOU TALK TO THEM BEFORE DOING ANYTHING. Talk to them for them to join and then murder Josh and Rich.
At this point you absolutely must remain outside the security room unless you make the survivors wait somewhere they won’t get teleported in. Go to the Al Fresca Plaza with Barbra and kill Gordon at 9am for the “Coward” scoop. Wait until 11am for the call about “The Restaurant Man” and go immediately save Pamela before she dies. Once she’s ok, take her to Heather and if you need to, go upstairs to Colombian Roast Masters to heal everyone up. You must make sure that you go to Jill’s Sandwiches and kill Ronald.
At 12pm you should get the “Above the Law” scoop so IMMEDIATELY head to Wonderland Plaza. MAKE SURE YOU ABSOLUTELY DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL SHE IS DEAD. Kill Jo and rescue all 4 survivors. Then go to the women’s bathroom to the shortcut, and wait until 1pm. At about 1:10 take the shortcut into Paradise Plaza and you should get the cult cutscene. Once you do kill all the raincoat cultists and save Jennifer. The Achievement should pop after getting her if you did this all correctly.
Road Rage
See below for my method.
Zombie Hunter/Zombie Killer/Zombie Annihilator
‘This is the hard one. This will take on average about 4-6 hours of grinding. I highly recommend tuning out with long YouTube videos or the like. Thankfully zombie kills continue through your save file so if you have like 30k zombie kills and start a new game, you only need 23k more.
Here’s how I did it: Start a completely new game. Once you get out to the Paradise Plaza, go immediately to the Parking Lot and take the red car down to the Maintenance Tunnels. Take a hard left, and go down until you get to where the butcher shop is and the 2 trucks. Using the red car, kill every zombie cluster in that parking area, and hop out of the red car. Get into the truck and book it back down to where you entered, hitting the big zombie clusters, until you reach where you came in. Once you’re there, stop and turn back around then head back up towards where you left the red car. The zombie cluster in that parking area that you just cleared out will have respawned completely. Kill the big clusters of them in the parking area, and head back down and do about 4 loops of this in total. This usually netted me around 1000 kills per full loop, then after the 4th depending on where I was I’d either leave the Maintenance Tunnels in the van, hop out and get back in the red car to do it all over again, or get in the red car and drive to the exit to the parking lot, get out of the red car, and then exit on foot so the red car would respawn at full health.
Here’s the basic concept in visual form.
Don’t mind me slamming into the red car and destroying it at the end, just pretend I got in it instead. Be careful because so many shopping carts at one time can get stuck under your car and jam you in between the ground and the roof like so
5/7 Day Survivor
This one is SUBSTANTIALLY easier than it was in the original. I recommend finishing the 53,594 zombie kills first so you can utilize the real megabuster reward. Do not mix drinks, and do not eat raw food without cooking it. If you get uncooked food, your immediate goal is to put it into a microwave. Orange juice, Coffee Creamer, Milk, Wine, Cooked Steak, and Cooked Pizza are all complete heals meaning you get an instant 20 minutes (Like 10 seconds if you count skipping time).
First on the list is getting all the healing books. Head left from the warehouse into Entrance Plaza. All the way at the end near the bee clock on the second floor is “The Sinister Read”. Enter and find the first healing book. Backtrack all the way to the shortcut in the Paradise Plaza women’s bathroom and enter Wonderland Plaza. Up on the second floor in front of you is where the foreigners were “Sir Book-a-lot”. Go inside and grab the second book. Next enter the North Plaza and go all the way back into the abandoned store outside Crislips. There will be the third and final book.
The basic strategy is open your map, look for the unknown person icon and where they are in the mall (It’s not an exact location just what Plaza or whatever they’re in) and go kill them. After they’re dead, grab every single piece of food they drop, and do this until there’s no one left on the map or you have full slots. At this point return to the Security Room and eat all of your food in safety.
There are premade spawns where food will be, such as 2 orange juices in Colombian Roast Masters in Paradise Plaza, an orange juice and baguettes inside Jill’s Sandwiches, some food behind the concession stand in Colby’s Movie Land, in the theaters themselves, Chris’ Fine Foods and the other shops in the Food Court, 2 milks in the Al Fresca Plaza shopsa milk in Flexin’ and some cookies outside around the picnic table. These are your safety nets for if you don’t have a full inventory and there’s no one on the map, or if you use all your full heals and don’t want to risk it. I don’t recommend using these first as you won’t know where any immediate food is.
Once you have a full inventory, go somewhere safe such as the Security Room or the bathrooms, and advance time. Do it until you have 1 of health left, and eat your lesser foods such as cabbages, corn, apples, as the like, this way you’re not wasting the big ones. Exhaust your food supply, leave yourself a single full heal, and by that time more people most likely have spawned and you can continue the cycle. This should only take about an hour and a half if your game doesn’t crash. I wish you the best of luck.
