Welcome to Dave’s Fun Algebra Class Remastered 100% Achievements Guide! This guide will cover all the achievements in the game, including hidden ones. If you’re looking for tips on how to obtain a specific achievement, check out the Table of Contents on the left. Some achievements also reward you with a trophy, which counts towards game progression. We will continue to update this guide with more tips and tricks, and feel free to leave your own advice in the comments. Beware of spoilers ahead, so proceed only if you’ve played the game before or don’t mind knowing the achievements beforehand.
[CONDITIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS]
Close and Personal
The recommended strategy for this achievement is to stay close to Dave right after failing a question. Since it still takes some time for him to properly start chasing you, you’ll be able to easily keep a good distance to get this achievement.
Unruly
To reach the maximum detention time (100 seconds), you have to be caught six different times.
Obtaining the Alien Cellphone will help significantly with this one! Using one will take the Alien Hall Monitor directly to your location, useful for easily breaking rules in front of him.
You can also enable Hard Mode and break the window inside the detention room via the Hammer (if it wasn’t already broken). Since NPCs are able to take routes through windows in this gamemode, he’s able to more easily catch onto your escape route and add more time to your punishment.
Prepared for Class
If you’re still stuck on this one, try getting and using items before collecting any papers to avoid being caught. However, doing so will lock you out of using the USB With a VIRUS! and the Alien Cellphone until you get Dave to start chasing you, so make sure to keep that in mind if you ever come across one of those.
Don’t let the achievement percentage intimidate you for this one, as it was actually just bugged in the game’s initial launch!
[ENDING ACHIEVEMENTS]
Successful Escape
If you wish to complete the game successfully, you’ll need a good understanding of the school layout, along with its characters and items. Below is a colored map of the entire school, plus some additional tips and tricks that should help you out.
- White = Hallway
- Green = Classroom
- Red = School Faculty Room
- Cyan = Outdoors/Cafeteria
- Yellow = Detention Room
- Orange = Gotta Sleep’s Closet
- Magenta = ???
- Keep an eye out on the Alien Hall Monitor whenever possible.
- Most items have a double usage. For example, while the WAKE UP! Alarm Clock is most commonly used to avoid being slept by Gotta Sleep, it also briefly increases movement speed.
- By breaking the window in the detention room, you’ll be able to avoid consequence and continue collecting papers! (Assuming you don’t get caught.)
- When Gotta Sleep is on the chase, it’s best to stay inside a classroom to not be slept up, otherwise you may be at risk of being caught by Dave!
- If you don’t want your items taken by Spike, your best bet is waiting him out.
- When evading Dave, try luring him into a classroom. This’ll get you more space to avoid his movements.
Using these techniques, you’ll eventually be able to adapt and overcome the game’s first challenge, unlocking the two Extra Gamemodes! But can you do even better?
Golden Student
Throughout the game, you can perform various actions which can either give you points or take them away. Depending on your final score at the end of the run, you are presented with a grade ranging from F to A+. The grade we’re going for in this achievement, A+, will require completing a run with a score over 6500.
The following actions will earn points:
- Getting a question right. (+300 points)
- Collecting a paper. (+500 points)
- Using an item. (+25 points)
- Hitting a character with the Orange Soda. (+50 points)
- Looking at Diamond Man while wearing the Shiny-Blocking Sunglasses. (+100 points)
- Winning Playrobot’s Rhythm Game. (+100 points)
- Getting Spike in detention. (+50 points)
- Hitting an exit. (+150 points)
- Hitting Cell with the NULL Pie (+50 points, Cell Mode only)
Beware these actions! They will make you lose points:
- Getting a question wrong. (-300 points, -150 points in Hard Mode and Algebra Antics)
- Being put in detention. (-100 points, decreases by 100 each time)
- Being caught by Diamond Man after looking at him without the Shiny-Blocking Sunglasses (-100 points)
- Failing Playrobot’s Rhythm Game. (-50 points)
- Having an item stolen by Spike. (-50 points)
- Missing Cell with the NULL Pie (-50 points, Cell Mode only)
- Taking damage against any of Cell’s attacks. (-20 points, Cell Mode only)
The best course of action is to play the game mostly as you normally would, thanks to the progression-based point bonuses usually adding a lot more to your score than the others. Assuming no points are won or lost throughout the run, the player will have 6700 points by default, 200 more than the required amount. If possible, it’s a good idea to perform actions that earn smaller point quantities, such as Playrobot’s Rhythm Game and utilizing various items. Beware Diamond Man and Alien Hall Monitor, as they are the two most frequent NPCs to avoid when it comes to taking your points.
While this achievement can be unlocked in any gamemode, it’s best to get it while playing the Normal Mode due to its easier difficulty over the rest.
Obedient Student
While playing, there’s more rules to watch out for. Keep in mind the following while in sight of Alien Hall Monitor, and you’ll be able to complete this challenge easily:
- Don’t run inside.
- Don’t enter School Faculty rooms.
- Don’t drink. (Using the Orange Soda)
- Don’t eat. (Using the Chocolate Cupcake or the NRG Bar)
- Don’t litter. (Dropping an item whilst picking one up when your inventory’s full)
- Don’t vandalize school property. (Breaking windows, hacking Playrobot or Dave’s wheelchair)
Escaping with Style [T]
Hard Mode is one of the two gamemodes unlocked by default. As the name suggests, it’s significantly more difficult than the Normal Mode. Below is a list of all the (known) changes made to the game that you must be aware of while playing:
- Problems with double-digit factors (only up to 19) are introduced.
- Getting any question wrong (apart from the second paper) will not give you the paper, instead making you solve a new question.
- Upon failing the second paper, the entire school is plunged into a reddish hue.
- All NPCs can break through windows.
- Playrobot and the Alien Hall Monitor both move at a tremendously inescapable speed.
- Playrobot’s Rhythm Game scrolls faster and has more notes to press.
Once all eight papers are collected, a stopwatch appears at the top of the screen. This stopwatch will give you two minutes and fifteen seconds (2:15) to escape. If you run out of time, the stopwatch will spawn at the school’s entrance and chase you down, ending your run if it catches you.
- Avoid breaking rules unless necessary (or during the escape).
- Keep a hold of the USB With a VIRUS! to counteract Playrobot and Dave.
- Use the new routes provided through the broken windows to your advantage.
- Utilize the Shiny-Blocking Glasses to keep an eye on anyone in the school.
- Don’t worry about running out of stamina during the escape, as you’ll be given an infinite amount.
- If you’re out of time, don’t give up just yet. You still have a chance of reaching the exit in time so long as you’re able to prevent the stopwatch from reaching you.
If you’re able to beat the game under all these conditions, you’ll be rewarded with the Trophy of Raw Skill and be considered a SUPER WINNER!
Escaping with Even More Style
To save time during the escape, try saving one of the papers at the entrance for last, as it’s the closest to one of the exits. Additionally, since you never run out of stamina during this sequence, using the WAKE UP! Alarm Clock to increase your speed can help with reaching each exit more quickly.
Certified Algebra Expert
To get this achievement, you must unlock the following:
- Successful Escape
Algebra Antics is essentially the same as Normal Mode, but with scary looking quadratics instead of “baby math.” However, these become significantly easier to solve once you actually learn how to solve them!
Look at the first digit, or the one with the x^2. If there is a number in front of it, divide the entire equation by that number. If there is a negative sign in front of the x^2, all negative values in the equation must be converted to positive values and vice versa. If neither of these apply, ignore this step entirely.
In order to find two solutions, you must find two numbers that multiply up to the third digit (without the x), and those same numbers must add up to the number in the second digit (the one with the x).
Keep negatives in mind!
Once you have those two numbers, make the positive ones negative and turn the negatives positive! This is required because, when solving quadratics, the quadratic must be equal to zero. Following this logic, your equation should look like this, with a and b representing the numbers you got in Step 2:
Using the Zero Product Property (If two numbers that are multiplied together equal zero, one of the previously mentioned numbers must also be zero.) we can confirm either (x + a) or (x + b) equal zero, and from there, we can form these two equations.
Since we’re looking for x, we must isolate it by subtracting either a or b from both sides of the equation.
Once you do this, the numbers obtained from Step 3 should be your answer.
“4x^2 – 16 + 12”
Step 1, divide the entire equation by four.
x^2 – 4 + 3
Step 2, find the two digits.
Factors of 3:
3, 1
-1, -3 <– (adds up to -4!!)
Step 3, inverse all values and get answer.
“1,3”

Tough Challenger [T]
To get this achievement, you must unlock the following:
- Successful Escape
Upon entering Modified Mode for the first time, you’ll be given a screen to select different modifiers to change up your gameplay. For this achievement, you’ll have to complete a run whilst having all of them enabled.
Let’s quickly go over each modifier in full!
Similarly to Hard Mode, all NPCs can break through windows, opening up new paths both they and the player can go through.
The school is much more dimly lit while playing. No other apparent gameplay differences are present, however.
After answering a question wrong, Dave will begin moving towards you in a similar fashion to Baldi from the original Baldi’s Basics. This involves moving a few feet in front of him between time intervals rather than rolling down the halls. With each paper you collect, the amount of time between each teleport from Dave decreases, allowing him to reach you faster. It’s also important to note that because of this new maneuver, he can no longer be stopped by the USB With a VIRUS!.
- Use the new routes provided through the broken windows to your advantage.
- Keep a safe distance away from Dave at all times.
Completing this challenge will reward you with the Trophy of Resilience.
[SECRET ACHIEVEMENTS]
The World is Against You [T]
In the original Baldi’s Basics, a well-known secret ending is present in which the player has to get every math problem wrong. Here, a similar ending is present where you still have to get everything incorrect. Unlike the original, however, there’s no apparent gameplay difference outside your stamina not regenerating with each paper, so you should be able to get through the game relatively normally.
Once you’ve finished this challenge, you’ll be given the Trophy of Failure. In the meantime, go visit the cell. There’s someone there who wants to talk to you.
His Defeat [T]
To get this achievement, you must unlock the following:
- The World is Against You (Optional)
Ever wondered if there’s any way to safely collect papers without Dave chasing you down? No? Well, this achievement goes over one of the direct consequences of doing such thing: Cheater Mode. If you were able to previously get the Normal Mode secret ending, a red chalkboard should appear in the school replacing a random wall:
This board instructs you to lock Dave outside, utilizing the Orange Soda to push him out and the Heavy Duty Glue Stick to seal the door. The next time you enter a classroom past that point, the real fun begins.
While navigating the school, you do not have to worry about avoiding any of the main cast. Instead, you will need to evade HIM, a new character exclusive to this mode.
HIM slowly moves around the school, having his presence indicated by the Danger Meter in the corner and the ambient noise he emits. HIM typically has poor vision and doesn’t enter classrooms, but will still chase you down if you’re within his range of sight. Touching HIM will cause a game over.
As you collect more papers, more copies of HIM will spawn, making HIM more difficult to avoid.
Exclusive to this gamemode is an item known as The Majestic Cube of Invisibility, which, when used, renders you completely invisible and invulnerable for thirty seconds. This is useful for surviving getting cornered by HIM or larger quantities of HIM, but you’ll have to remember to use them sparingly as you’ll only get so many during the run!
- Use classrooms (aside from the hallway-connected one in the northern area) as a safe spot from HIM as he cannot enter them.
- The danger meter can detect HIM through walls. If it detects a higher level of danger, chances are that he could be right behind a wall.
- Using the Shiny-Blocking Glasses will allow you to see every copy of HIM on the map, allowing you to plan out a route more thoroughly and easily.
- Listen closely for HIM! If a copy of HIM is already following you, there could always be another right behind a door.
- Utilize the poor vision and speed of HIM to secure a safe spot before getting totally overwhelmed.
Completing this mode rewards you with the Trophy of Unknown.
It’s The End
To get this achievement, you must unlock the following:
- The World is Against You
- Escaping with Style
- Tough Challenger
- His Defeat
As previously mentioned, trophies are unlocked by completing various tasks that count towards game progression. You’re able to read their names and descriptions in the main menu, along with being able to see which ones you’re still missing.
Collecting the first four trophies will have your run end with the results instead reading “IT’S THE END” as you’re immediately taken back to the cell. From here, you can unlock this achievement in addition to the game’s final gamemode.
Cell’s Demise [T]
To get this achievement, you must unlock the following:
- It’s The End
By collecting the game’s first four trophies, you’ll unlock Cell Mode, the final gamemode.
In here, Dave still greets you as normal (mostly), but the school goes completely dark upon failing your first paper. From this point forward, the game changes significantly in a manner similar to Cheater Mode. Just like that gamemode, there are now entirely new dangerous entities to be mindful of rather than the game’s usual characters. Let’s go over them, shall we?
Crypt is by far the most prominent entity in Cell Mode. Upon failing a question, they will immediately spawn on the opposite side of the school from you and rapidly dash through the hallways at high speeds, chasing you if you’re within sight. Their presence is indicated by a red glow and a loud rumbling sound. Similarly to HIM in Cheater Mode, Crypt cannot enter classrooms, rendering them safe from their wrath.
Crawl is the least common and arguably least threatening entity of the few. When spawned, they will stay in place somewhere near the player, emitting a green glow and soft whooshing sound. To avoid Crawl, do not run while they’re nearby, as doing so will make them hostile and chase you down. This isn’t necessarily a difficult task to accomplish as you won’t be needing to run much during this gamemode.
Similar to Crypt, Creep wanders the hallways searching for you. Unlike Crypt, however, Creep has a significantly slower movement speed and is able to enter classrooms, with its presence indicated by a blue glow and a robotic screaming noise. Creep’s weak point is their general poor eyesight, so keeping a good distance will help prevent them from noticing you as easily.
- While hiding in classrooms from Crypt, keep on the opposite end of it to avoid being spotted if Creep enters.
- Utilize The Majestic Cube of Invisibility if you happen to find one nearby!
- Just like in Cheater Mode, be mindful that all entities will duplicate with each paper.
Upon reaching the first exit, all copies of Crypt and Creep will start evacuating towards the upper-northern corner of the school. Continue to keep your guard up during this process, because they will still break away from their path and try to get you if you’re within their sights during evacuation.
Once you reach the last exit, Cell will intervine. This causes several NULL Pies to spawn around the map, which you can use right-click while aiming to attack Cell. Upon the first hit, the chase is on, and you’ll have to run around searching for more NULL Pies as Cell follows behind.
While it’s good to stay far away from Cell, it’s also best to keep him within your sights at all times, both to keep track of him easily and to target your NULL Pies well. It’s also highly recommended to get the two in the northern faculty room first, as they’re the most out-of-the-way to have to get. Finally, keep in mind that Cell can break through any windows, so utilize those routes that you’ve learned so far if you have to!
After finally reducing Cell’s health, he will take you straight to the cafeteria and lock the both of you inside, ready to “end this here and now”. From this point, your objective is to defeat him with NULL Pies that spawn as he tries to attack you.
His first attack, used when over 66% of his health is remaining, is throwing the miscellaneous tables and chairs inside the room towards you. This is normally the most difficult attack to avoid due to the unpredictability of where it’s going to land near you. So long as you keep your distance from Cell and sidestep the furniture whenever possible, you’ll survive this attack.
When over 33% of health is remaining, he’ll opt for a new attack, spawning spikes beneath you. This attack won’t be too much of a hassle so long as you always remain on the move.
Finally, with over 0% of health remaining, Cell leaps into the air and slams into the ground. Since he generally keeps a rather far distance from you whilst performing this action, this attack isn’t necessarily too bad either.
Once Cell’s health is reduced to zero, you’ll finally be able to escape the school for good. Completing the run rewards you with Cell’s Trophy.
Bullseye
To get this achievement, you must unlock the following:
- It’s The End
- Cell’s Demise (Optional)
Upon revisiting Cell Mode after completing it at least once, Cell reveals upon his appearance that there are two achievements to be gained from completing the two phases of his fight flawlessly.
If you wish to avoid wasting any NULL Pie shots during the chase, it’s recommended to keep a steady aim while looking at Cell. This hopefully shouldn’t prove to be difficult, as Cell takes up the entire hallway, making him very difficult to miss.
Not a Scratch
To get this achievement, you must unlock the following:
- It’s The End
- Cell’s Demise (Optional)
Upon revisiting Cell Mode after completing it at least once, Cell reveals upon his appearance that there are two achievements to be gained from completing the two phases of his fight flawlessly.
This achievement is more difficult than the other mainly thanks to Cell’s first attack. As long as you’re able to keep a consistent strategy though, you should be fine. Just remember the following strategies to succeed:
- Dodge the first attack by stepping over to the side, as moving backwards from incoming furniture is often very risky.
- Keep on the move while the second attack is in action to not get hit.
- Stay far away from Cell at all times to prevent damage from his third attack.
