Welcome to our Call of Cthulhu gaming guide! In this article, we will provide you with all the information and images you need to achieve a 100% completion rate and earn the coveted Rank A in Dark Corners of the Earth. Keep reading to discover all the items and tasks necessary for a successful gameplay experience.
Intro
Rank A
But how do you get this rank? It’s simple:
- Get 100% completion in the statistics
- Complete the game in less than 4 hours on the game timer.
- Make no more than 30 saves
There are no other conditions in the game and no bonuses for 5 or less saves. Also, the 3.5 hour timer has not been confirmed. The extended ending will not be shown at 100% on rank B.
Tips:
Play the game a second time. If you don’t remember what to do in the game, it will be very hard to keep up with the timing.
Skip the cutscenes, they count against the timer.
Let’s give you some time references: Rescue Ruth within 50 minutes and get on the Urania within 1 hour and 40 minutes. In the end, we’ll pass with a good margin in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
If you feel you’ve wasted a lot of time, load up.
100%
And once again, I’d like to remind you that completing 100% of the game does not guarantee that you’ll get Rank A. However, completing 100% is mandatory to get Rank A!
Let’s go straight to complete all the tasks and collecting all the items.

19. Keep enough sailors alive
Location: The Cutter Urania, Deck.
How to complete: At the very beginning of the chapter, after talking to Sailor Gene Henson. We protect the cutter from an attack of monsters. This mission starts from the moment we pick up the rifle until the monsters retreat for a while. Besides us and Henson, there are 3 sailors running around on the deck. As soon as one of them dies, he will spawn inside the cutter and run back to the deck. Our job is to keep a large number of these sailors from dying.
Honestly, while testing this condition, I realized that not completing was harder than completing. I deliberately let the sailors die 15 times and then completed the mission. And indeed, the completion rate was lower than it should have been. It’s hard to say exactly how many sailor deaths should be avoided, and in general it doesn’t matter. While we are running for ammunition and a first aid kit for Henson, it is not possible to control the deck.
Here is a reference point that will help you when passing clearly understand whether you have successfully completed this task or not. Before the attack, 75% complete, after the attack, 78% complete. If the percentage is lower, you have failed.
20. Diary of one of the crew

Location: The Cutter Urania, sailor’s quarters.
How to find it: During the mission of escorting the wounded officer Winter, after a frightened sailor has shot in his direction, go into the room on the right. Next to the safe point is a bed with a diary.
21. Book of Dagon (again)
Chapter: The Air-Filled Tunnels.
Location: Robert Marsh’s desk.
How to find it: After falling on Robert Marsh’s head, kill him and look around the room. On the table is Sebastian Marsh’s suitcase, open it and take our Dagon Book. It’s the same book we had the whole game.
22. Lab Notes of Ester Marsh
Chapter: The Air-Filled Tunnels.
Location: Laboratory.
How to find it: Take the key from Robert Marsh’s desk and go to the huge cave with a bonfire in the middle, then go to the middle level and enter the lab. On the table on the right next to the pesticide is a diary.
23. Tablets of Dagon
Chapter: The Air-Filled Tunnels.
Location: Temple of Hydra.
How to find it: After killing the ancient flying creatures, climb up the plants and through the vent to the cave with the Temple of Hydra. Opposite the entrance is an octagonal pedestal table containing the Tablets of Dagon. You have to use the Book of Dagon to translate it.
100% Results
The Boston Globe, Arkham Advertiser and the postcard we get in the cutscenes.
As a reminder, to get 100%, in addition to the books, you must save Ruth, collect the rifle, and save enough sailors from dying (paragraphs 14, 15, and 19).
