This Achievement guide is a bit free flow as most Achievements are Class-specific based. Random chance is also involved as certain Achievements require specific tasks to be unlocked during matches which can be difficult to encounter deliberately.
All Achievements can be unlocked in Solo play & you do not have to be Online at all. It is important to note that while Online Servers are still up, as far as I am aware, Online-Versus is no longer available. The player base is pretty dead, so that isn’t outwardly a big deal, except when you take the Tough As Nails Achievement into account. For the Achievement, or only option is to complete all Missions (excluding What-If Missions) on Hard Difficulty. This can be extremely difficult to do as the teammate AI in this game is horrific, but fortunately, we do have a couple of options to really simplify things. I will delve more into that later…
Our only Collectibles to worry about in this game come in the form of 74 Audio Logs. Fortunately, they do not need to be manually tracked down & will all actually come through natural progress as we play. 32 of the Audio Logs will come through completing each Mission once as well as completing every single Primary Objective on each Mission; two Audio Logs per Mission. The rest will come through replaying Missions & are awarded in place of those 32 after they have been obtained. We will be replaying lots of Missions to reach Rank 5 & to grind out other Achievements…
100% will require the purchase of the Agents of Change DLC which adds an extra Ability per each Class as well as adds in two new Missions to complete. Fortunately, it is relatively cheap to purchase, especially considering that this is a “Free to Play” game.
For those interested, here is an organized list of all the Achievements/Secret Achievements. This is how I derive my Achievement Breakdowns & the first reference I create before I begin my 100% journeys.

Before You Play!: Brink is a default Keyboard & Mouse only game & does not have built-in Controller support. If you are like me, & prefer to play games with a Controller, check out this great guide by Laetteralus. It works very well & is quite easy to do. The prompts that appear on screen will still be Keyboard prompts however. We also still need to use a Mouse in some Menus as well. Not a perfect port but it’s the best thing out there right now.

Sequence 1: Keeping the Peace
2. Resistance: N/A
3. Story Audio Logs: 4/32
4. Achievements: 7/43
—————————————————————————————————–
As soon as we are done watching the intro cutscene, we will need to make a choice right away if we are fighting for Security or the Resistance. Ultimately, this decision does not matter as we can play as both Factions.
Customize your two Character looks for each Faction, & agree to watch the Tutorial video we are prompted with for an extra 1000 Bonus Xp.
Even though Online-Versus is no longer a thing, we can still earn an extra 20% Bonus Xp for “playing Online”. When you select a Campaign Mission, set your Visibility to Public. The odds of anyone joining your game are virtually 0, so you will still be playing all Missions Solo technically, we just now get Bonus Xp to speed our levelling along.
For now, I also recommend playing on Easy Difficulty to begin as well so we have an easier time unlocking Achievements.
This is an Offensive Mission. To start, we will complete the first Mission in the Security Campaign.
Primary Objective #1 – Destroy the Door: When the match begins, we will have 8:00 minutes on the timer. Switch your Class to a Soldier & use the Objective Wheel to select Plant the HE Charge & then defend it for 40s until it is destroyed.
Achievement #1 – Boom!: Detonate a HE Charge.
Soldier Class. We will unlock this Achievement after successfully planting & defending a HE Charge.
Achievement #2 – Use the Wheel, Earn More Xp: Complete an Objective after first selecting it on the Objective Wheel.
If you selected our Primary Objective using the Objective Wheel before you completed it, we will unlock this Achievement as well.
Achievement #3 – No I Insist, You Take It: Use the last of your Supplies to refill a teammate’s ammo rather than your own.
Soldier Class. As our starting Ability as a Soldier, we are able to hand out Supplies to our teammates. Simply spam this Ability & use up all our Supplies on teammates to unlock the Achievement.
Until we reach Rank 5 at Level 20, there are no more Soldier specific Achievements for us to unlock.
Primary Objective #2 – Escort the Hostage: After the HE Charge is detonated, we will gain an extra 10:00 minutes to the timer. We now have to escort a released Hostage to safety. While you can play as any Class, playing as a Medic can be useful as you can Revive the Hostage if they are incapacitated.
Achievement #4 – The Start of Something Big: Win any Mission, whether Campaign or What-If.
Story Related. Complete our first Mission to unlock this Achievement.
Ability – Grenade Shooting: We will reach Rank 2 after finishing our first Mission. For our first Ability we buy, go to the Universal Abilities Tab & purchase the Grenade Shooting Ability for 1 Level Credit; we need this Ability for the Great Shot Kid. One In A Million! Achievement.
Audio Log #1 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 02/08/44: Story Related. We will unlock this Audio Log for beating Mission – Hostage Rescue.
Audio Log #2 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 04/28/44 Pt 01: To obtain this Audio Log, we will need to re-beat the Mission & make sure that we complete both of the Primary Objectives; since this is an Offensive Mission you MUST complete all Primary Objectives anyways…
As a side note, by “completing all Primary Objectives” you do not personally have to complete them yourself. Just as long as they are all completed by your team during the match. This becomes more explainable when we reach a Defence Mission…
This is an Offensive Mission. There are three Primary Objectives to complete on this Mission that will require us to play as an Operative & an Engineer.
Primary Objective #1 – Hack the Mainframe: Begin the Mission as an Operative & Hack the Mainframe; the Mission will start at 8:00 minutes. This can be difficult if our team isn’t on the ball to defend us. It is best to Incapacitate most of the nearby enemies but not outright kill them, so it delays them from respawning. Once your team is established in the area, it makes it much easier to Hack.
Alternatively, you can just defend your team’s Operatives as they Hack as well.
Achievement #5 – Not Over Till the Fat Lady Sings: Incapacitate an enemy with gunfire while knocked down.
There are many ways we can be knocked off our feet in combat such as being melee’d or hit by a Frag Grenade. When we are knocked down, we can easily stand back up & keep fighting but we can also still fire while on the ground. For this Achievement, if you are knocked down with enemies still nearby, unload your Weapon at them while still on the ground to try & incapacitate someone. Doing so will unlock the Achievement.
Primary Objective #2 – Crack the Safe: Hacking into the Mainframe will give us an additional 6:00 minutes to the timer. For the next Objective, we now need to switch to playing as an Engineer; go to the Command Post & switch Classes. Get to the Safe & we will use a blow torch to cut it open; we will need our team to defend us while we do this.
Primary Objective #3 – Deliver DataKey: Once the Safe is open, we will gain another 6:00 minutes to the timer. We now need to deliver the DataKey to the exit; this can be done with any Class.
Achievement #6 – Oh I’m Sorry, Was That Yours?: Capture an enemy Command Post.
After cutting open the Safe, we should have plenty of time to do a few Secondary Objectives before we need to make sure the DataKey is delivered. On your Objective Wheel, select an enemy Command Post to navigate to & capture it to unlock the Achievement.
Achievement #7 – I Live… Again!: Revive yourself.
When you are incapacitated, you have the option to wait for a Medic to come & Revive you. When they arrive, they will throw a Medkit at you that you can use to Revive yourself & unlock the Achievement.
Audio Log #3 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 04/28/44 Pt 02: Story Related. We will unlock this Audio Log for completing Mission – Smash & Grab.
Audio Log #4 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 06/30/44: To obtain this Audio Log, simply replay the Mission & win.
Sequence 2: Oppression
2. Resistance: N/A
3. Story Audio Logs: 8/32
4. Achievements: 13/43
—————————————————————————————————–
This is an Offensive Mission. This Mission has four Primary Objectives we need to complete requiring us to play as a Soldier & an Engineer. The Mission will begin with a timer of 8:00 minutes.
Achievement #8 – I Think I Know A Shortcut: Open a Shortcut for your team.
Start the Mission playing as an Operative & immediately use the Objective Wheel to highlight Secondary Objective – Plant Hackbox on Door. Get to the door & Hack it to open a Shortcut up & unlock the Achievement.
Primary Objective #1 – Destroy the Gate: Now we must quickly change Classes to a Soldier & blow open the gate with a HE Charge. Plant it & defend it for 40s until it explodes. Alternatively, you can defend your team’s Soldiers instead.
Primary Objective #2 – Escort Maintenance Bot: Once the gate is destroyed, we will gain an extra 6:00 minutes to the timer. You will now want to swap to an Engineer Class so you are able to repair the Maintenance Bot as we Escort it to the Objective.
Achievement #9 – You Can Place Another Mine Now: Incapacitate an enemy with a Mine.
Engineer Class. While playing as an Engineer, use your Mine Ability to lay down Mines when you can. If you are able to place a Mine in a high traffic area or around the Maintenance Bot, you have a good chance of incapacitating an enemy.
These don’t always do enough damage to incapacitate an enemy at full health, so this can be pretty luck based. Whenever you play as an Engineer, place down your Mines to try for it.
Primary Objective #3 – Repair the Crane: When the Maintenance Bot is in position, we will gain another 4:00 minutes to the timer. As an Engineer, we now need to repair the Crane console.
Primary Objective #4 – Deliver Sample: Repairing the Crane will give us an extra 6:00 minutes on the timer. We now need to escort the Maintenance Bot further into enemy territory so it can cut into the lab which will give us another 5:00 minutes.
Once the lab has been cut open, we now have to grab the Sample & run it all the way back to our territory & deliver it to win.
Audio Log #5 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 07/12/44: Story Related. We will unlock this Audio Log for beating Mission – Dirty Bomb.
Achievement #10 – You’re Going Places’ Kid!: Reach Rank 2.
We will reach Rank 2 by getting to Level 5.
Ability – Transfer Supplies: Now that we are Rank 2, use our current 1 Level Credit to purchase the Transfer Supplies Ability for the Medic so we can unlock the T’is Better to Give Than Receive Achievement.
Audio Log #6 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 09/29/44: To obtain this Audio Log, we will need to re-beat the Mission & make sure that we complete all four Primary Objectives.
This is a Defensive Mission; if possible, we need to shut the enemy down at Primary Objective #1. There are four Primary Objectives to complete on this Mission requiring us to play as an Engineer to disable enemy HE Charges. The Mission will begin at 7:00 minutes on the timer.
Achievement #11 – T’is Better to Give Than Receive: As a Medic, using the Transfer Supplies Ability, give the last of your Supplies away. (Rank 2)
To unlock this Achievement, if you purchased the Transfer Supplies Ability, we first must exhaust our Supplies by Reviving at least two teammates. Once we have 0 Supplies, we need to wait until we have only one Energy Pip left. Once we do, immediately Transfer Supplies to any teammate to use up all your Energy to unlock the Achievement.
Primary Objective #1 – Defend the Conduit: With that Achievement out of the way, switch your Class to an Engineer & get ready to disarm enemy HE Charges! Make killing enemy Soldiers a priority as they are the only ones who can plant HE Charges. If you are able to complete the entire Mission without them destroying the Conduit, we will unlock the You Shall Not Pass! Achievement.
Placing a Mine in front of the Conduit can be an easy way to unlock the You Can Place Another Mine Now Achievement.
Achievement #12 – Was It the Red or the Blue Wire?: Disarm an HE Charge.
Engineer Class. If you want to bait the enemy into placing a HE Charge, stay on guard at a vantage point waiting for your team to be overrun or for an enemy Soldier to get through. As soon as a HE Charge is placed, thin out the enemies & wait for your team to retake the area before rushing in & disarming the HE Charge which will unlock our Achievement.
Alternatively, this will just happen naturally as you play as an Engineer & can happen multiple times in one Mission…
Primary Objective #2 – Defend the Safe: If the enemy destroys the Conduit, they will gain an extra 7:00 minutes to the timer. We now need to defend them from deploying a Hackbox on the Safe & opening it.
Primary Objective #3 – Defend the Pass Code: If the enemy cuts open the Safe, they will gain an extra 7:00 minutes to the timer; we need to prevent them from stealing the Pass Code & taking it to the Infirmary.
Primary Objective #4 – Stop the Prisoner: If the Resistance opens up the Infirmary they will release the Hostage & gain another extra 7:00 minutes to the timer. As a last ditch effort, we MUST stop them from escorting him to the Objective or we will lose the Mission!
Audio Log #7 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 11/25/44: Story Related. We will unlock this Audio Log for beating Mission – Prison Break.
Audio Log #8 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 09/29/44: To obtain this Audio Log, we will need to shut the enemy down at the first Primary Objective; they cannot destroy the Conduit, or you must restart & try again. This goes for earning the second Audio Log on all Defence Missions, the only way to earn them is by shutting out the enemy.
Achievement #13 – You Shall Not Pass!: While on Defence, prevent the attackers from completing their first Objective.
To earn this Achievement, we must complete a Defence Mission without the enemy completing the first Primary Objective.
Sequence 3: Disarmament

Ability – Light Turret: As soon as you are able to, I highly recommend using a Level Credit & purchasing the Turret Ability for the Engineer as it is extremely handy! In my opinion, Engineers are the best Class in the game & I solely play as them; it is much easier defending your team while they complete the Objectives than relying on them to do the same.
Offensive Mission. There are two Primary Objectives for us to complete on this Mission requiring us to play as an Engineer & an Operative. Although, I do not recommend pursuing Primary Objective #2 personally… For good reason, this is considered to be the hardest Mission in the entire game.
Primary Objective #1 – Repair the Crane Controls: Start the Mission as an Engineer & painstakingly repair the Crane Controls so we are able to progress. A lot of this Objective will depend on whether your team can defend you while you do this.
You basically just need to bullrush the Crane Controls & slowly repair them in between deaths. Your team is extra useless on this Mission…
Primary Objective #2 – Hack the Missile Controls: Once the Crane opens up the gate to the next half of the level, switch your Class to an Operative & we will have to plant a Hackbox on the Missile Controls. This can be a very challenging Objective to complete as it is highly reliant on our team’s ability to be able to defend us. Because of this, I do not recommend pursuing this Primary Objective at all…
Instead, I recommend playing as an Engineer & going on the offensive. From where the Missile Controls are, go past them into enemy territory to the right & we can find a hollow tunnel we can hide in; it is also directly straight ahead from the Health Command Post. From here, set up a Turret at the mouth, & we can flank the enemy team. We will hammer/distract them so our team can get a foothold at the Missile Controls & we will let a team Operative do the Hacking.
I failed this Mission four times trying to do the Hacking & completed the Mission on my first try swapping to the offensive. Though it did get dicey at some points.
There are multiple different locations you can hold out at in this level, but this is the one that worked best for me (on Easy Difficulty that is).
Achievement #14 – Great Shot Kid! One In A Million: Take down an enemy by shooting a Grenade.
If you have the Grenade Shooting Ability, throw a Frag Grenade amid some enemies (or at one) & immediately begin shooting at the Frag Grenade to blow it up & ideally incapacitate an enemy. Throwing the Frag Grenade at their feet instead of in the air makes it an easier target to hit…
Audio Log #9 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 02/24/45: Story Related. We will unlock this Audio Log for beating Mission – Early Launch.
Audio Log #10 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 03/09/45: Replay this Mission a second time & win to collect this Audio Log.
This is a Defensive Mission. There are two Primary Objectives to complete for this Mission that require us to be an Engineer.
Primary Objective #1 – Defend the Vent System: When the Mission begins, start as an Engineer so you are able to remove enemy Hackboxes; killing enemy Operatives is the priority. There are two Vent Systems we need to defend, not one!
Primary Objective #2 – Defend the Reactor: If the enemy successfully Hacks the Vent Systems you now need to defend the Reactor from getting blown up with HE Charges! Failing this will fail the Mission!
Audio Log #11 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 03/19/45: Story Related. We will unlock this Audio Log for beating Mission – Fallout.
Achievement #15 – You’ve Saved the Ark: Win all 6 Main Missions of the Security Campaign (not including What-If Missions).
Story Related. Complete the first 6 Campaign Missions for Security to unlock the Achievement.
Audio Log #12 – Founder Barbara Elmhurt Encrypted Personal Journal 03/28/45: For the second Audio Log for this Mission, we need to shut out the Resistance on the very first Primary Objective. Since there are technically two Vent Systems the enemy can potentially Hack, it spreads them much thinner making it easier to win. As an Engineer, go after the enemy Operatives & remove any Hackboxes that they set up.
Setting up your Turret & Mine to defend one Vent System while you personally defend the other is a good strategy. Keep an eye on your mini-map & Turret’s health to see where the enemy waves are coming from.
Rank 3: We will reach Rank 3 after we become Level 10.
Sequence 4: For the Ark!
2. Resistance: N/A
3. Story Audio Logs: 16/32
4. Approximate Level: 12/24
5. Achievements: 17/43
—————————————————————————————————–
Defensive Mission. This Mission has four Primary Objectives to complete that will mostly require us to be an Engineer. You are able to shut the enemy team out during the first Primary Objective & any others afterwards if you can outlast the time limit.
Primary Objective #1 – Defend the Pillar: For our first Objective, we must defend a large Pillar from enemy HE Charges.
Achievement #16 – That’s How You Win A Match: While on Defence, take down an attacker who’s completing a Primary Objective.
You may have unlocked this Achievement a long time ago, but if you have not, wait until you see an enemy Soldier begin placing a HE Charge on the Pillar. As they do, before they finish or stop to run away, be sure to incapacitate them mid-action to unlock the Achievement.
This can be done on any Defence Mission where an enemy needs to perform an action on a Primary Objective.
Primary Objective #2 – Disable the Bot: If they blow up the Pillar, we now need to disable their Bot from collecting the crate inside the helicopter. The enemy needs to escort them away from it, so keep the Bot’s health down & the enemies away!
Primary Objective #3 – Defend the Bridge: This Primary Objective is a part of the second. When the Bot reaches the bridge, the enemy will need to plant a HE Charge to destroy it so the Bot can continue. Do not let them, & disable any HE Charge they plant.
Primary Objective #4 – Defend the Gate Controls: If the bridge is destroyed, the enemy will have to escort the Bot further into the Mission area. If it reaches the canal, we now have to stop the enemy from putting a Hackbox on the Gate Controls & opening them or we will fail the Mission!
Audio Log #13 – Founder Barbara Elmhurst Encrypted Personal Journal 04/01/45: Story Related. We will unlock this Audio Log for beating What If Mission – Chopper Down.
Audio Log #14 – Captain Clinton Mokoena Encrypted Personal Journal 03/27/43: To acquire this new set of Audio Logs, we need to shut out the Resistance on the first Primary Objective & not let them destroy the Pillar.
Defensive Mission. There are five Primary Objectives we need to complete. You are able to shut the enemy team out during the first Primary Objective & any others afterwards if you can outlast the time limit.
Primary Objective #1 – Defend the Storage Depot Door: The Missions begin at 8:00 minutes. Stop the Resistance from planting a HE Charge on the Storage Depot Door & blowing it up; playing as an Engineer is best.
Primary Objective #2 – Defend the Hydraulic Fluid: Losing the first Primary Objective will add 5:00 minutes to the timer. If the doors are blown open, the Resistance has to grab the Hydraulic Fluid inside the Storage Depot & take it over to a landed airplane. Any Class is up for grabs. If they take the Hydraulic Fluid, quickly kill the one carrying it, & return it back to the Storage Depot.
Primary Objective #3 – Defend the Warehouse Controls: Losing the second Primary Objective will add 5:00 minutes to the timer. If the Resistance gets the Hydraulic Fluid to the airplane, they now need to use a Hackbox on the Warehouse Controls. Enemy Operatives are the primary targets to take out.
Primary Objective #4 – Defend the Avionics: Losing the third Primary Objective will add 5:00 minutes to the timer. If the Resistance Hacks the Warehouse Controls, another item (the Avionics) will be dropped for them to take. Once again, we must prevent them from taking this back over to the airplane & return it back to the warehouse if they do.
Primary Objective #5 – Defend the Fuel Pump: Losing the fourth Primary Objective will add 5:00 minutes to the timer. As our final ditch effort to win this Mission, we need to prevent the Resistance from refuelling the airplane. Enemy Engineers are the primary target to take out; we cannot fail this Primary Objective, or we will lose the Mission!
Achievement #17 – To Serve & Protect: Win every Security Campaign Mission, including What If Missions.
Story Related. Complete the 6 Campaign Missions for Security along with the 2 What If Missions to unlock the Achievement.
Audio Log #15 – Captain Clinton Mokoena Encrypted Personal Journal 12/08/44: Story Related. We will unlock this Audio Log for beating What If Mission – Grand Theft Aero.
Audio Log #16 – Captain Clinton Mokoena Encrypted Personal Journal 03/21/45: To earn this Audio Log, we need to shut down the Resistance during the first Primary Objective.
Sequence 5: Victory, My Brothers!

3. Story Audio Logs: 22/32
4. Approximate Level: 15/24

Now it is time for us to kick over to the Resistance side & complete their 8 Campaign Missions.
An important note is that unlike during the Security Campaign, the Story Audio Logs we collect from the Resistance Missions are out of order which can make things a little confusing on which ones you are actually missing. The Audio Logs listed per Mission, are correct in where you receive them, & not out of order…
This will be a Defensive Mission. There are two Primary Objectives to complete; we can shut out the enemy during the first Primary Objective.
Primary Objective #1 – Defend the Door: The Mission will begin at 8:00 minutes. We must prevent the enemy from placing a HE Charge on the prison door; if they do, it needs to be disarmed by an Engineer. Soldiers will be our primary targets to take down.
Primary Objective #2 – Stop the Agent: Should the enemy destroy the door, it will add on an extra 12:00 minutes to the clock. We must now rally around the Agent & prevent the enemy from taking him back to their escape route. This is not too bad as you can perpetually keep the Agent down; Engineers are best as you can set a Mine beside the Agent as well as a Turret.
Audio Log #17 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 07/23/43: Story Related. We will acquire this Audio Log the first time we beat Mission – Getting Answers.
Audio Log #18 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 08/12/43:
To acquire this Audio Log, we need to replay the Mission & shut out the Security on the very first Primary Objective.
Offensive Mission. There are four Primary Objectives we need to complete for this Mission that rely on us being a Soldier & then an Operative.
Primary Objective #1 – Destroy the Conduit: The Mission will begin at 7:00 minutes. We will need to tear off the panel covering the Conduit, & then place a HE Charge on it. Wait for 40 seconds until it explodes; you can alternatively play as an Engineer & lay down a defensive perimeter around the Conduit & let other Soldiers place the HE Charge.
Primary Objective #2 – Hack the Safe: With the Conduit destroyed, we will gain another 7:00 minutes to the counter. We now need to push further into the base & get to the Safe. This will need to be hacked by an Operative, but like before, we can also set up a defensive perimeter around it as an Engineer.
Primary Objective #3 – Deliver the Pass Code: Hacking the Safe will give us another 7:00 minutes to the clock. Now it is a delivery Objective, which is the easiest. Ideally, grab the Pass Code yourself & sprint it down to the prison controls to free Nechayev.
Primary Objective #4 – Escort Nechayev: Freeing Nechayev will add a final 7:00 minutes to the timer. Now we must escort him back through the prison over to where we first began the Mission. Playing as a Medic can be useful to Revive Nechayev if he goes down.
Audio Log #19 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 11/21/44: Story Related. We will acquire this Audio Log the first time we beat Mission – Breakout.
Audio Log #20 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 02/12/45: Unfortunately, we now need to replay this entire Mission over again to acquire this other Audio Log by completing all four Primary Objectives (which is mandatory for beating the Mission anyway).
This is a Defensive Mission with three Primary Objectives; playing as an Engineer is the optimal Class.
Primary Objective #1 – Defend the Mainframe: This Mission will begin with 8:00 minutes on the timer. We must prevent Security Operatives from placing Hackboxes on the Mainframe & hacking it.
Primary Objective #2 – Defend the Safe: Should the Mainframe get hacked it will add 6:00 minutes to the clock. We now need to keep Security Engineers away from the Safe & letting them cut it open.
Primary Objective #3 – Defend the DataKey: If the Safe is cut open, it will add another 6:00 minutes to the clock. As a last ditch effort, we cannot allow any Security member to steal the DataKey.
Achievement #18 – Not So Sneaky Now, Are You?: Reveal an enemy in Disguise.
This Achievement can be unlocked as any Class & can even happen accidentally as we play through the game. If you want to deliberately attempt it, it is best to play as an Operative. On Defence Missions where the enemy’s Primary Class needs to be an Operative, Disguise yourself, then shadow the enemy Operatives. Follow them around & wait for them to approach a team member’s corpse to apply their own Disguise. As soon as they switch “skins” to our team, open fire & incapacitate them to unlock the Achievement.
Alternatively, if you happen to “meet yourself” on the battlefield, you will know an enemy has used your body as a Disguise; shoot them down!
Audio Log #21 – AWU Secretary General Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 02/15/45: Story Related. We will acquire this Audio Log the first time we beat Mission – Chen’s Plans.
Audio Log #22 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 03/25/45:
To collect this Audio Log, we must replay the Mission & shut out the enemy during the very first Primary Objective. If they hack the Mainframe, you will have to restart & try again.
Sequence 6: 30s Remaining, Brothers…
2. Resistance: Black Box, Attack On CCity
3. Story Audio Logs: 26/32
4. Approximate Level: 16/24
5. Achievements: 19/43
—————————————————————————————————–
This is an Offensive Mission that will require you to swap between a few different Classes for the best optimization.
Primary Objective #1 – Destroy the Pillar: The Mission will begin with 10:00 minutes on the clock. As a Soldier, we will need to plant a HE Charge & protect it for 40 seconds to knock the helicopter down. Alternatively, you can play as an Engineer & lock the area down so an ally Soldier can place the HE Charge…
Primary Objective #2 – Escort the Bot: Destroying the Pillar will add 6:00 more minutes to the clock. Now it is best to swap to an Engineer (if you or not already) so we are able to repair the Bot as it carries the Nav Computer away.
Achievement #19 – Pump Up the Volume!: Upgrade your team’s Command Post. (Rank 3)
When we reach Rank 3, we will be able to purchase the Command Post Upgrade Ability. Do so, & capture a Health or Supply Command Post. Then, if the Ability is equipped, select the Command Post again & you will see a green circle slowly increasing saying Upgrading. Wait until it completes, to Upgrade the Command Post & earn our Achievement.
Primary Objective #3 – Destroy the Bridge: When we reach the Bridge blocking the Bot’s way, it will need to be destroyed using a HE Charge. Either stay as the Engineer & lock down the area, or swap to a Soldier to destroy the Bridge.
Primary Objective #4 – Hack the Gate Controls: Destroying the Bridge will add another 4:00 minutes to the clock. Keep escorting the Bot along until it reaches the Gate. The Gate Controls now need to be hacked by an Operative; either do it yourself or protect the area as the Engineer.
As soon as the Gate Controls are hacked, we will win the Mission.
Audio Log #23 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 03/19/45: Story Related. We will acquire this Audio Log the first time we beat Mission – Black Box.
Audio Log #24 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 03/23/45:
To collect this Audio Log, we simply must replay & beat the Mission again.
This is a Defensive Mission; playing as the Engineer is the best Class for this Mission.
Primary Objective #1 – Defend the Gate: The Mission will begin with 8:00 minutes on the clock. You must stop Security from destroying the Gate with a HE Charge.
Primary Objective #2 – Disable the Maintenance Bot: Failing to defend the Gate will result in 5:00 more minutes being added to the clock. Now, we must stop the Maintenance Bot from being escorted further into our territory.
Primary Objective #3 – Defend the Crane: If the Maintenance Bot reaches the Crane, it will add another 4:00 minutes to the clock. Now you cannot allow the Security to repair the Crane with Engineers.
Primary Objective #4 – Defend the Sample: As a last ditch effort, if Security repairs the Crane it will add a final 5:00 minutes to the clock with an extra 5:00 minutes added if the Maintenance Bot reaches the Objective. Now you cannot allow the Security to grab the Cure & steal it!
Audio Log #25 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 02/19/44: Story Related. We will acquire this Audio Log the first time we beat Mission – Attack On CCity.
Audio Log #26 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 11/08/43:
To collect this Audio Log, we must replay the Mission & shut out the enemy during the very first Primary Objective. If they destroy the Gate with a HE Charge, you will have to restart & try again.
This can be tricky to do playing as any Class other than Engineer. You really need to have a good setup in front of the gate, as once a HE Charge is planted, it can be extremely difficult to disarm if the enemy gets a foothold. If possible, disabling the Bot before it can even reach the Gate is the most ideal situation but that can be difficult to do. If not, plant a Mine where the HE Charge goes, set up a Turret, & pray your teammates are on point. Unfortunately, they rarely venture in front of the Gate which puts a huge amount of responsibility on you to do the job.
You can make a “kill corridor” with your Turret where the enemy runs up towards the Gate (they seem to prefer that one section). This is a very stressful Audio Log to get; always stay on your toes because the tides can turn within seconds!
Sequence 7: Pushed to the Brink
2. Resistance: Airborne, Operation Babel, Critical Reaction
3. Story Audio Logs: 32/32
4. Approximate Level: 18/24
5. Achievements: 23/43
—————————————————————————————————–
This is an Offensive Mission. The Mission requires a Soldier, Operative, & Engineer to complete all of the Objectives; alternatively, you can play as an Engineer & be a supporting role in taking out enemies for your teammates.
Primary Objective #1 – Destroy the Storage Depot Door: The Mission will begin with 8:00 minutes. This Objective is rather simple to complete as either a Soldier or supporting Engineer so long as you reach the Depot Door asap!
Primary Objective #2 – Deliver the Hydraulic Fluid: Destroying the Depot Door will add 4:00 minutes to the clock. Now we need to grab the Hydraulic Fluid & sprint it to the drop off point. Ideally, you can grab it yourself as it is much easier than defending dumb teammates as they try to deliver it.
Primary Objective #3 – Hack the Warehouse Controls: Taking the Hydraulic Fluid to the plane will give us another 4:00 minutes to the clock. Now we either have to hack the Warehouse Controls as an Operative or defend our team as an Engineer while they do it instead.
Primary Objective #4 – Deliver the Avionics: Hacking the Warehouse Controls will add another 5:00 minutes to the clock. Now it is another delivery Objective to take the Avionics back to the plane. At this point, Security is most likely dug in pretty deep there & this will be a bit more challenging to break through their lines.
I recommend playing as an Engineer for this part if you are not already – especially if you are personally taking the Avionics to the plane.
Primary Objective #5 – Repair the Fuel Pump: A final 5:00 minutes will be added to the clock. As soon as the Avionics are in, get to that Fuel Pump as fast as possible & repair it to beat the Mission.
Audio Log #27 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 10/27/43: Story Related. We will acquire this Audio Log the first time we beat Mission – Airborne.
Achievement #20 – You’ve Escaped the Ark: Win all 6 main Missions of the Resistance Campaign (not including What If Missions).
Story Related. We will unlock this Achievement after we complete the sixth Resistance Mission, Airborne.
Achievement #21 – The Story Has Just Begun: Win both story Campaigns (not including What If Missions).
Story Related. If you have fully completed the initial 6 Security & Resistance Missions, we will unlock this Achievement as well.
Audio Log #28 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 02/18/43:
To collect this Audio Log, we just have to replay this Mission over for the second time…
This is a Defensive Mission. This Mission is best played as an Engineer. For the most part, especially if the Barricades are up, our AI teammates are not actually too bad at doing their jobs…
Achievement #22 – Cut ‘em Off At the Pass: Close an enemy team’s Shortcut.
As soon as this Mission begins, start as an Engineer, & switch your current Objective to Secondary Objective – Construct Main (or Side) Barricade. Build it, & we will unlock the Achievement. As simple as that.
We can assist or be assisting teammates while we do this, so long as we are presently constructing it when the Barricade is completed.
Primary Objective #1 – Defend the Crane Controls: This Mission will give us 12:00 minutes to defend the Crane Controls. As an Engineer, keep both Barricades constructed if you can, & make sure there is a Mine placed in front of the Crane Controls where an enemy Engineer would go. Then it is just a matter of hunkering down with your Turret & keeping them away.
Primary Objective #2 – Defend the Missile Controls: Failing to defend the Crane Controls will add 9:00 minutes to the clock. Now we must defend the Missile Controls at all costs!
Audio Log #29 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 11/09/44: Story Related. We will acquire this Audio Log the first time we beat Mission – Operation Babel.
Audio Log #30 – AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 01/11/45:
To collect this Audio Log, we need to shut the Security out during the first Primary Objective. If they end up repairing the Crane Controls, you will need to restart & try again.
For the most part, the enemy will focus on taking out the Barricades before moving on the Crane Controls outside of a few rogue enemies that may attempt to flank but are easy to deal with. If a Barricade is about to be destroyed, pre-emptively set up your Turret in front of it & get ready to fight off a wave of enemies. When they are gone, quickly rebuild up the Barricade.
This is an Offensive Mission.
Primary Objective #1 – Hack the Vent System: The Mission will begin with 10:00 minutes on the clock. Either play as an Operative & hack the Vent System yourself, or for an easier time, just play as an Engineer & lock down the area. The AI is typically never good enough to defend you if you are personally hacking anything in this game…
Primary Objective #2 – Destroy the Reactor: Completing the first Objective will add 10:00 minutes to the clock. Now we need to plant a HE Charge on the Reactor & defend it for 40 seconds… or play as an Engineer & lock down the area for your team.
Audio Log #31 – AWU Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 12/09/43: Story Related. We will acquire this Audio Log the first time we beat Mission – Critical Reaction.
Achievement #23 – Viva la Revolution!: Win all 6 Resistance Campaign Missions, including What If Missions.
Story Related. We will unlock this Achievement after we beat all 6 of the Campaign Missions for the Resistance along with the two What If Missions.
Audio Log #32 – AWU Secretary Joe Chen Encrypted Personal Journal 07/12/43:
To collect this Audio Log, we just have to replay this Mission over for the second time…
Story Audio Logs: By this point, we will have all 32 Story Audio Logs which is 32/74 total Audio Logs. These will be all 13/13 Founder Barbara Elmhurst Logs, 3/11 Captain Clinton Mokoena Logs, & 16/19 AWU General Secretary Joe Chen Logs.
The final 44 Audio Logs are earned by beating any 44 Missions now (not including the Missions added by the Agents of Change DLC). Anytime you beat a Mission, you will randomly earn one of the “random” Audio Logs until you have won 44 Missions & unlocked them all!
Sequence 8: Tipping the Scales
2. Approximate Level: 18/24
3. Achievements: 26/43
—————————————————————————————————–
With all 16 Campaign Missions completed successfully twice (or with shutouts), we will have our 32 Story Audio Logs done & out of the way. Before we delve into Challenges, we can do a quick & relatively easy mop up of a few random Achievements first. If you have not unlocked them already; there is so much free flow & spontaneousness with this game & these Achievements in particular…
Most of these Achievements can be unlocked during Free Play Mode where we can essentially rig the Missions in our favour specifically for Achievement hunting.
For Offline Free Play, go to the Free Play tab in the Main Menu, then select Launch Custom Match & be sure it is set to Solo. We are also able to unlock “random” Audio Logs when beating Free Play Matches as well!
Achievement #24 – Smart Decisions Win Battles: Attempt to Revive an objective-class teammate over a non-objective teammate near a Primary Objective.
This Achievement can technically be done on any Mission or Match so long as you are playing as the Offensive team & not the Defensive team.
In Free Play Mode, set the Custom Match to these parameters:
Game Mode – Objective
Play Mode – Solo
Map – Aquarium (though most Offensive Missions will work)
In Custom Match Settings, set it to these parameters:
Difficulty – Easy
Min Team Size – 8
Max Team Size – 8
Make sure you turn on Friendly Fire; all other settings are irrelevant.
When the Mission begins, make sure you are playing as Security; if you are the Resistance, pause the game & swap over to the Security team.
Now swap your Class to a Medic & get to the Primary Objective (for this Mission, get to the Door). The Class we need to Revive for this Achievement is a Soldier (they are the Primary Class as only a Soldier can plant a HE Charge to complete the current Primary Objective). Before we can Revive one though, we also need a “non-objective Class” to be incapacitated beside them (for this Mission it would be a Medic, Engineer, or Operative).
When a Soldier & a “non-objective Class” are incapacitated beside each other close to the Door, choose to Revive the Soldier to unlock the Achievement. Since we have Friendly Fire on, we can incapacitate our own teammates to better set up for this Achievement if you need to. The fact there are two Doors that Soldiers can destroy widens the range of being “close to our Primary Objective” which makes this Achievement easier to do.
Achievement #25 – They Never Knew What Hit Them: While on Offense, win the match in less than 30% of the time limit.
In Free Play Mode, set the Custom Match to these parameters:
Game Mode – Objective
Play Mode – Solo
Map – Terminal (though most Offensive Missions will work)
In Custom Match Settings, set it to these parameters:
Difficulty – Easy
Min Team Size – 0
Max Team Size – 0
All other settings are irrelevant.
We need to play as Security for this Achievement. If you spawn as Resistance when the Match begins, you need to pause the game & immediately switch teams as fast as you can. As Security, you need to fly through all Primary Objectives as fast as you possibly can before 30% of the Match’s total time has elapsed. With no enemies to impede you, this is very easy to do.
Swap to an Operative & hack the Mainframe. Then swap to an Engineer & crack the Safe open to collect the DataKey & sprint it to the drop off point as soon as we grab it. Drop off the DataKey & complete the Match in under 5:00 minutes to basically be guaranteed this Achievement.
This strategy was originally discovered by the legendary Maka91 on True Achievements! It definitely still works!
Achievement #26 – Brinksmanship: Complete an Operative Primary Objective within 5 seconds of breaking Disguise.
Next up, set the Custom Match to these parameters:
Game Mode – Objective
Play Mode – Solo
Map – Security Tower
In Custom Match Settings, set it to these parameters:
Difficulty – Easy
Min Team Size – 1
Max Team Size – 1
All other settings are irrelevant.
We will want to be playing as the Resistance for this Match, so swap to that team if you start as Security. There will also be a single enemy during this Match so be aware of that.
As soon as the Match begins, swap to a Soldier Class & open the Panel then place a HE Charge on it to complete the first Primary Objective. Plant the HE Charge & fight off the lone Security Engineer until it blows. The second Primary Objective is where we will need to switch to an Operative & where we will unlock our Achievement.
Get to the Safe & place a HackBox on it. Whenever the Security Engineer comes by, stop hacking & kill them. Hack the Safe until it reaches 94-98%, & then stop! Wait for that Security Engineer to come after us (or go find him) & kill him one more time, then Disguise yourself as them. Quickly go back to the Safe, break your Disguise, then hack the rest of the Safe in under 5 seconds to unlock the Achievement. If you feel like the Security Engineer will return before you can do this, wait for them at the Safe, take them out, re-Disguise, & then finish.
Of course, this is also not my original strategy & came from the True Achievements user JERICHO FREEMAN. You can complete the rest of the Match for a “random” Audio Log too if you want…
Sequence 9: Got the Bullets?
2. Challenges: Be More Objective
3. Approximate Level: 18/24
4. Achievements: 30/43
—————————————————————————————————–
Achievement #27 – That Mine You Found? Disarmed!: Spot a Mine which is later defused by another Engineer.
Next up, set the Custom Match to these parameters:
Game Mode – Stopwatch
Play Mode – Solo
Map – Refuel
In Custom Match Settings, set it to these parameters:
Match Duration – 30 Minutes
Difficulty – Hard
Min Team Size – 4
Max Team Size – 4
As a new Custom Setting we will add, be sure to turn on Friendly Fire so we can kill our teammates…
On Stopwatch & with the extended Match Duration, we can beat our heads against this Achievement until it unlocks. On Hard, the AI plays “better” so more enemy Mines &, ideally, our teammates will be smart enough to disarm the Mines we Spot. We also will want to be playing as the Resistance & not Security for this Match as well! For the entire Match, we will be playing as an Operative.
When the Match begins, let the Soldiers destroy the door with a HE Charge. Now you must personally collect the Hydraulic Fluid; if a teammate does, kill them. Once you have the Hydraulic Fluid, wait until your teammates form up on you; keep killing them until at least one is an Engineer.
Once you have your Engineer, carefully begin making your way toward the airport to drop off the Hydraulic Fluid (though of course that is not what we will be doing). Ideally, in the time it took for us to re-group, the enemy will have placed some Mines. If not, just hold out until they do; be sure you also disable any enemy Turrets that are set up as well before you move in. To “Spot” a Mine as an Operative, you need to look down the sights of your gun at it (Lt on Controller) & you will see a small bar begin to fill up. After “iron sighting” the Mine long enough, the bar will fill, & the Mine will become “Spotted”. Now all teammates can see the Mine.
Fight forward, & take out the enemies around the plane, & stand near the Mine with at least one Engineer beside you. They should disarm the Mine & unlock our Achievement.
The original strategy used was from thirtysmooth of True Achievements!
Achievement #28 – A Bit of A Headache: Take down an enemy with a Cortex Bomb. (Rank 4)
We can only unlock this Achievement if we are Level 18 = Rank 4, & have purchased the Cortex Bomb Ability for the Operative. Since this is an Operative heavy Match, this is as good a time as any to try for this Achievement. If you own this Ability, anytime you die (or deliberately die) wait until an enemy is running towards you while incapacitated (not dead) & activate your Cortex Bomb. If you kill them, you’ll unlock this Achievement.
This is not a difficult Achievement to unlock & can be done on virtually any Mission or Match so long as you play as an Operative. It is easier unlocking this on Hard Difficulty as enemies are much more likely to run up to you while you are incapacitated to try & finish you off.
Now we will change things up. There isn’t actually a whole lot left in our 100%, with a big part of that being beating the 6 Campaign Missions (not including What If Missions) for each faction on Hard Difficulty for the Tough As Nails Achievement. To prep for this, we will complete Challenges which will unlock new Weapons & Weapon Modding which will give us an extra edge.
Each Challenge has 3 different Star Levels to them which increase the Difficulty (1 Star = Easy, 3 Stars = Hard) as well as change the rewards we will get if we beat them.
All we need to do is just finish each Challenge; do not pay any attention to High Scores, unless that is your thing.
It is important to note, that the Achievements can only be unlocked through Solo play & not during Coop. They also must all be done on the same Character as well.
Be More Objective – 1 Star: For Be More Objective, we will play as a Soldier & need to complete a mock Mission in under 10:00 minutes; this is a 4v4 match. As soon as you cross the line, select Primary Objective #1 – Destroy the Objective. Now we need to destroy it with a HE Charge.
Once that is done, change your Class to an Engineer & select Primary Objective #2 – Repair the Generator. The timer will not increase when we complete Objectives; all we have is 10:00 minutes to complete the entire Challenge. Repair the Generator & swap your Class to an Operative now. Select Primary Objective #3 – Hack the Vault Controls & do just that which will then let us complete Primary Objective #4 – Steal the Intel.
Drop off the Intel to complete the Challenge.
Achievement #29 – Well Done!: Complete your first 1 Star Challenge.
We will unlock this Achievement after completing any of the four 1 Star Challenges.
Be More Objective – 2 Stars: The 2 Star version of this Challenge will play out identically as before, except now the AI will be playing on Normal Difficulty. The location of some of the Primary Objectives will also change as well. Hacking the Vault Controls is definitely the most difficult part of this…
Be More Objective – 3 Stars: This of course will be the most challenging iteration of this… Challenge, as the AI will be on Hard Difficulty. This one is very tough & your teammates are useless.
Ideally, you can get the Door destroyed with over 9:00 minutes remaining. Then throw yourself at the Generator to get it repaired with ideally, over 5:00-6:00 minutes on the clock. Using your Turret to distract enemies is very useful.
The Vault Controls are actually easier to do than Repairing the Generator. They are on the upper floor, so it takes the enemy a bit to get there, plus there is a convenient crate wall we can hide behind while we Hack. The enemy has to get right on top of us, where you can switch & kill them quickly if you are watching your mini-map. When you die, try to hold out for a Medic if it makes sense to, as it will FORCE your team to actually come up to the third level & help you out.
There is an obscene amount of luck involved in completing this Challenge…
Achievement #30 – Very Well Done Indeed!: Complete your first 3 Star Challenge.
We will unlock this Achievement after completing any of the four 3 Star Challenges.
Sequence 10: Nothing to Fear!
2. Approximate Level: 18/24
3. Achievements: 32/43
—————————————————————————————————–
Parkour This – 1 Star: This is a classic parkour course that we need to complete by reaching all 9 Checkpoints in under 3:00 minutes; this is super simple to do. Once all 9 Checkpoints have been hit, rush back to the start to complete the Challenge.
Even without “route planning” you can do this in under a minute.
Parkour This – 2 Stars: We will now have 2:00 minutes to complete a very similar course. Once again, this one is not too bad, even if you are not “route planning:”. You will need to occasionally employ wall running as a technique to reach some of the Checkpoints which is a skill you may actually have never used during the Campaign.
Parkour This – 3 Stars: This one may take a few attempts as we only have 1:00 minute to complete the course. Fortunately, none of the Checkpoints are in really screwy areas. You can basically knock them all off in one good circuit of the map; I recommend heading around it counterclockwise.
Escort Duty – 1 Star: These next two Challenges are all about the Engineer. For this one, we need to escort a Bot to the end of the level; repairing it if it is ever knocked down. We have 10:00 minutes to complete the Challenge & we are Solo against 3 enemies.
Use the Bot as a shield, & place down your Turret whenever you round corners so it can give you some suppressing fire. Ammo conservation is also key as we are not Soldiers; when you run out, you’re dead basically, & have to respawn unless you can capture Command Posts.
Escort Duty – 2 Stars: Naturally, the course will be slightly longer, & the enemies are now on Normal Difficulty. We will still have 10:00 minutes to complete the Challenge, & there will still only be 3 enemies to fight.
Escort Duty – 3 Stars: We still have the exact same parameters as the 2 Star Challenge, except the enemy will be on Hard Difficulty. The enemies will only spawn after the Bot is repaired; you can technically rush ahead & capture the Health Command Post pre-emptively to give yourself an edge.
Tower Defence – 1 Star: Once again we will be playing as an Engineer & this time, we need to defeat waves of enemies from capturing our Health Command Post. As soon as we capture it for the first time, the enemies will begin spawning. It is important to remember that we are able to re-supply our ammo at Command Posts!
The first round will have 6 waves of 1 enemy. Round 2 will have 3 waves of 2 enemies. Round 3 will only have 2 waves but with 3 enemies.
Achievement #31 – Who’s Bad?: Complete all 1 Star Challenges.
We will unlock this Achievement after completing all four of the 1 Star Challenges.
Tower Defence – 2 Stars: This time the enemies will be on Normal Difficulty.
Before capturing the Command Post, place a Mine (or two if you have the Ability) in front of it. Then, directly across from the scoreboard, there will be an elevated blue crate against the wall; this is where we will hold out with our Turret. Build it, capture the Command Post, then rush over to your Turret on the blue crate to defend.
The first round will have 6 waves of 2 enemies; both enemies will come out of the same spawn point. The second round will have 3 waves of 2 sets of 2 enemies that come out of two different locations, this is where things disintegrate & you may need to abandon the blue crate. The third round has 2 waves of 3 sets of 2 enemies…
Tower Defence – 3 Stars: The first round will have 6 waves of 3 enemies, the second round will have 3 waves of 3 sets of 3 enemies, with round 3 of course having 2 waves of 3 sets of 3 enemies.
It is important to note that the spawn point which enemies will come out of has a flashing orange light above the door. When you see this, rush to that door, & you can mow the enemies down before they even exit. This can really give you an edge, not allowing them to set up & maneuver.
The most important thing to remember for this Challenge is that enemies are finite. There are only so many enemies per wave/round; it is a battle of endurance. You need to be tactical & not always hunkering down beside your Turret. Ideally, you can defeat a set of enemies in the few seconds it takes for the next one to spawn. You need to be a bit aggressive with this one, or you will be overwhelmed. Don’t stray too far from the Command Post so you are able to re-supply ammo.
The last enemy alive is also your best friend. When safe, you can evade the final enemy to reset your Mines, Turret, & restock on ammo before defeating them & spawning the next wave.
Do not be afraid to retreat! It is better to run & hide, letting the enemy take your Command Post than to die… & have the enemy take your Command Post anyways. A defensive retreat is better as you are still able to potentially have a bit of control over the situation. Especially on rounds 2 & 3, it can almost be impossible to regain control after dying.
As a last ditch effort, you could potentially create a brand new Character at Level 0 to do these Challenges as the enemies gain equivalent Abilities as our current Level. At Level 0, they will be at their weakest… but so will we. It isn’t the best strategy & heavily relies on your skill level at pure gunplay; personally, I think you are better off as is with all the tools you have accumulated with the Engineer… But that being said, if you are really struggling, then definitely give this strategy a go. The only issue if you start a new Character, is you will have to go back & re-beat all Challenges over again for the Achievement.
Achievement #32 – King of the World!: Complete all 3 Star Challenges.
We will unlock this Achievement after completing all four of the 3 Star Challenges on the same Character.
Sequence 11: A Living Legend
2. Resistance: Getting Answers, Breakout, Chen’s Plans, Black Box, Attack On CCity, Airborne
3. Approximate Level: 21/24
4. Achievements: 35/43
—————————————————————————————————–
Achievement #33 – Tough As Nails: Win all storyline Campaign Missions (exc. What If Missions) in either Online-Versus, or on Hard Difficulty.
Story Related. With our newfound arsenal of Weapon Mods, we are now fit to take on the 6 Campaign Missions for both the Security & Resistance on Hard Difficulty. Before beginning, be sure to switch the current Difficulty to Hard. You must complete the 6 main Campaign Missions for each team, (not including the four What If Missions).
We no longer can play the Campaign in Online-Versus! Though the Online servers are still up, they only work for Free Play games & not in the Campaign; the Achievement is only for Campaign, not Free Play.
The enemy AI on Hard Difficulty is ridiculous. Their aim is impeccable & they are almost guaranteed to headshot you. They respond quickly & they work very well together to complete Objectives or to prevent you from completing your own. Unfortunately, our own teammate AI does not change on this Difficulty, in fact in contrast to the enemy’s increased competency, it feels like our AI teammates get
even worse than playing on Easy!
It will most likely take you multiple tries to complete each Mission. Stick with it, & do 90% of the heavy lifting for your team. I still almost solely played as an Engineer & took on a supporting “kill all enemies” approach for most Missions.
Unfortunately, just like in Solo, Security Mission Day 6 – Early Launch is most definitely the hardest Mission in the game to complete on Hard Difficulty. A lot of it just boils down to luck & your AI making good plays. The AI will not repair the Crane until the very end basically meaning you need to do it all entirely by yourself which is frustrating. Though very difficult, it isn’t even the hardest part of the Mission which is even more frustrating!
I spent well over 20 attempts trying to complete this Mission using all the strategies listed online to no avail. Nothing seemed to work. The only thing that did, was creating a new Character & beating the Mission at Level 0. Though still very difficult, as you have no Abilities, neither does the enemy. It just boils down to out-gunning each other. The AI also seems to be a tad more forgiving, & your AI teammates do stand a bit more of a chance.
Start as an Engineer to repair the Crane, then in part two, I swapped to an Operative & completed the hack. It was by the skin of my teeth though & we went into overtime by -20 seconds. I did have a teammate fortunately help me most of the way right at the very end; if the match had gone on for another 2 seconds I would have been killed & failed. It is so luck based it isn’t even funny.
This Achievement is cross-Character, meaning if you completed all other Missions on Hard with your main Character, the Achievement will unlock after beating whichever Missions you needed to complete using your new Level 1 Character.
Using the “Kick Bots” Strategy: Alternatively, if you really just want this done & over with, we can exploit the in-game Console to kick all AI bots from a match so we can complete all Objectives Solo. This is definitely “cheating” however it does work & you can unlock the Achievement by using this strategy. These steps for how to open the Console & the command for kicking bots were taken from MonkeyWrench’s own Achievement Guide for this game; the Steam User Icetex was the one to show THEM how to do this as well.

Be sure to pop over to their guide to leave a Rate Up, Award, &/or Comment if this strategy helped you!
To gain access to the in-game Console, exit the game & then right click on Brink in your Steam Library & go to Properties. In the General Tab, you will see the line Launch Options where we can input code: +set com_allowConsole 1.
Load up Brink, & enter into any Campaign Mission (like Security – Early Launch). Press the ~ button to bring up the Console & type: bot_minclients -1. Then type in: bot_minclients 0. This will kick all the Bots in a game & force them to all be Spectators. We are now in our own private game & can complete all Primary Objectives without being attacked; this can be your make or break on any Hard Difficulty Mission you cannot seem to beat.
Achievement #34 – Time to Start A New Character: Reach Rank 5.
While we complete our Hard Difficulty Missions, we will most likely reach Rank 5; we gain access to Rank 5 after we become Level 20. At Rank 5, we unlock the final Abilities for our Classes
Respecing Abilities: When you reach Level 21, I recommend respecing all of your Ability Points to maximize the new high level Abilities… The problem with Respecing, is it will cost you an entire Level to do! Do not do this at Level 20, as you will be reduced to Level 19 & will lose access to your Rank 5 Abilities.
Only Respec when you have to, & really make your ability choices count even if you need to select a bunch for Achievements. The higher Level you are when you Respec, the longer it will take you to grind that Xp back to get to that Level again & beyond.
If you have the Agents of Change DLC, see the below Sequence to see what other Rank 5 Abilities we need to purchase for Achievements…
Achievement #35 – It’s A Trap!: Take down an enemy with a Satchel Charge. (Rank 5)
Now that we are Rank 5, we can purchase the Satchel Charges Ability for the Soldier. Load up any Mission (preferably on Easy Difficulty) that has Primary Objectives that the enemy gathers around. Mission Security – Smash & Grab or Resistance – Chen’s Plans are good Missions to play as enemies are very boxed in during the first Objective.
Get to any location or Objective enemies congregate around, & place down one to three Satchel Charges. Get to safety, & aim at your Satchel Charges. When enemies are basically on top of them, activate them to hopefully incapacitate at least one enemy to unlock the Achievement.

DLC Breakdown – Agents of Change: (7)
Story Related: (2)
Character: (5)
As of now, we are officially finished with the Base Game (apart from farming the final Audio Logs). If you have it purchased, we can now move on to the Agents of Change DLC which adds two new Missions for both the Security & Resistance.
Unlike the Base Game, there are no Story Audio Logs to be earned, meaning that you really only have to beat these Missions once & not have to worry about “shutting out” the enemy. We also do not earn any “random” Audio Logs for completing these Missions either.
This is a Defensive Mission. We will start the Mission with 10:00 minutes on the clock; if you are playing on Easy Difficulty, you should have no issues completing this Mission.
This is an Offensive Mission & the inverse of Lab Rats. We will start the Mission with 10:00 minutes on the clock. This Mission is a bit trickier than its Security counterpart, but is not too bad if you are playing as an Engineer on Easy Difficulty.
Achievement #36 – Science Maven: Win Labs as both Factions in Campaign Mode.
Story Related. Complete the Missions Security – Lab Rats & Resistance – Synthesize This, on any Difficulty to unlock the Achievement.
This is an Offensive Mission & a big one at that with five different Primary Objectives we need to complete. The best strategy for this Mission is to play as an Engineer & defend our allies as they Hack/plant HE Charges until we need to remove the Detonator. Once it is removed, grab the Detonator yourself & sprint it to the Objective.
This is a Defensive Mission & the inverse of Founders Keepers. We will start the Mission with only 8:00 minutes on the clock to defend. This Mission is very easy to defend the Lobby Door Controls & shut out the enemy.
Achievement #37 – Towering Achievement: Win Founders’ Tower as both Factions in Campaign Mode.
Story Related. Complete the Missions Security – Founders Keepers & Resistance – Tower Defence, on any Difficulty to unlock the Achievement.
Since we are Rank 5, we can very easily unlock these next DLC Achievements though you will most likely need to Respec your Abilities to purchase them if you have not already done so. This will cost you a Level; only Respec if you are Level 21 or higher!
For farming these Achievements, Missions Security – Smash & Grab or Resistance – Chen’s Plans are good ones to play as enemies are very boxed in during the first Primary Objective.
Achievement #38 – A Burning Thing: Kill an enemy with a Napalm Grenade.
As a Soldier, purchase the Napalm Grenades. Simply weaken an enemy a little bit, & hit them with a Napalm Grenade making sure it is what kills them to unlock this Achievement.
Achievement #39 – Pyromancer: Kill an enemy with a Pyro Mine.
As an Engineer, purchase the Pyro Mine. Get to an area where enemies are grouped up or has high traffic, place a Pyro Mine down, & make sure it is what kills an enemy to unlock this Achievement.
This one is a bit trickier than killing an enemy with a standard Mine as the damage is over a period of time & they have to be standing near the fire for it to hurt/kill them.
Achievement #40 – Mutual Support: Have a Field Regen Unit buff more than 3 players simultaneously.
As a Medic, purchase the Field Regen Unit. This is best done either at the initial spawn zone for a Mission or around a Primary Objective. Get to a location where your team is bunched up with at least three teammates there, & place down a Field Regen Unit. If at least three teammates are receiving the Field Regen Units Buff at the exact same time, we will unlock the Achievement.
This Achievement can take a bit of time to register, & you may see your teammates group up around your Field Regen Unit multiple times before the Achievement unlocks.
Achievement #41 – Remote Control: Kill an enemy with a UAV.
As an Operative, purchase the UAV. Place the UAV on the ground, then access it to control it remotely. Pilot the UAV up to an enemy & detonate it to incapacitate them; this is much easier to do on Easy Difficulty. On harder Difficulties, the enemy will be much more responsive with shooting your UAV down.

—————————————————————————————————–
It is now time for the last & final grind of the game, getting to Level 24. You can do this legitimately or by using the “kick bots” exploit to speedrun through Missions for easy Xp.
Achievement #42 – Well That Was Educational: Collect all 74 Audio Logs.
This will come naturally as we grind Missions to get to Level 24. There are 32 “Story Related” Audio Logs & 44 “free Audio Logs”. If you have been following along with the guide, you will already have the 32 Story Related Audio Logs.
To earn the remaining 44 free Audio Logs, you simply need to complete any 44 Missions (not including the 4 DLC Agents of Change Missions). Any time you complete a Mission, you will earn a free Audio Log. Complete any 44 Missions to collect them all.
Achievement #43 – Ark King: Reach Level 24.
This is the final grind. If you want to do this legitimately, choose any Defence Mission & play as a Medic or Engineer. The key to earning big Xp is actually just buffing your teammates. Each Buff you give them earns you 75 Xp. Spend the whole Mission giving your teammates Buffs, while also completing your Defence Mission, to earn at least 4-5K Xp each Mission. This can take a while as you have to finish full Missions to cash out your Xp.
If you want to earn this the “cheating” way, choose an Offensive Mission with a lot of Primary Objectives like Resistance – Airborne & kick all the bots. Now just go through & complete all the Objectives to earn quite a lot of Xp, hassle-free. This strategy can also net you 4-5k Xp in a much shorter period of time. For every single Objective you do, make sure you select it first using the Objective Wheel so we get quite a bit more Bonus Xp every time we complete something; this includes taking Command Posts or even picking up the Hydraulic Fluid/Avionics.
If you are farming botless Airborne, make destroying the Storage Depot Door your Objective then switch to a Soldier to earn some Bonus Xp. Place the HE Charge, & as it is counting down go & swap your current Objective to taking over the Health Command Post; switch to an Operative once you take it. Change your Objective to guarding the HE Charge before it explodes, then switch your Objective to collecting the Hydraulic Fluid. Deliver the Hydraulic Fluid then select hacking the Warehouse Controls next. Hack them, then select picking up the Avionics next. From here, select Capturing the Supply Command Post next; switch to an Engineer once you take it. Now deliver the Avionics then select repairing the Fuel Pump as your final Objective to complete the Mission.
Each bot-less run of Airborne will take you roughly five minutes to complete.
At Level 22, it will take you around 16-20 runs of Airborne without bots to reach Level 24.
