It’s actually crazy to see all the different areas that can become a potential base. There are also a few areas that I looked at and thought they would be amazing as a base but always got too comfortable in the Office Sector. I think on my next playthrough, I might even move into Manufacturing, just for something different. With that said, I hope you enjoy my second guide on Potential Base Locations!

Crossroads > Manufacturing Entrance
Pros:
- Plenty of Space
- Scenic
- Naturally Divided sections
- Close to Level 3 Elevator by Gar Garden Portal
- Close to elevator leading to Main Lobby Tram Station
- Comes with built in sector Check In for convenience
- Nearby Vending Machines
Cons:
- Only 1 plug, just outside the front gate (as seen in picture)
- Possibly too much space for an individual
- Nearest water source is across from Manufacturing Garage, or Main Lobby fountain
- While there is two port-a-potties nearby, both are just far enough to be annoying anytime you need to handle your business
Crossroads > Roadway Lima
Pros:
- Good amount of space
- Only one entrance, should be easy to defend
- Comes with port-a-potty
Cons:
- No nearby water source
- Closest plug is by Office Sector entrance
Crossroads > Ledge Office
Pros:
- Out of range of turret gun
- 2 Plugs (one on ramp, one in office)
- Comes with Vending Machine
- Water Source not too far away
- Nice two level area which includes the office and roof, with a natural staircase in the form of the ramp
Cons:
- Water Source requires running across the Crossroads, either right into turret gunfire, or lots of shooty boys
- Nearest toilet is in Roadway Lima
- Office has a giant hole in the side and roof
Crossroads > Kitchen and Kitchen Entrance
Pros:
- Plenty of space
- 3 Plugs (1 in entrance, 1 by vent/robot station, 1 in kitchen)
- Kitchen looks nice (aside from broken shelf) and comes with a fridge and coffee machine
- Area is completely surrounded by functioning doors
- Nearby bathroom with water source nearby
- Can build on top of entrance roof for more area!
- Not too far from manufacturing Tram Station
Cons:
- Several pieces of furniture can NOT be removed, including the broken security bot
- May be shot by neighbours if on roof
Crossroads > Dual Offices
Pros:
- 5 plugs (1 on each floor)
- Shelves for storage
- Next to water source
- Next to huge water tank
- Plenty of space
- Easy access to Blacksmith and trams
- Close to Control Tower vent control
Cons:
- Heavily guarded
- Nearby security bot could prove to be a nuisance
- Dark, bring lights
Crossroads > Top Ring
Pros:
- Wonderful view of the entire Crossroads section
- Lots of space
- Not too far from Manufacturing Check-in
Cons:
- Hard to get to (you need to build or fly to)
- No plugs or easy access to water/toilets
Garage > Supply Room
Pros:
- Next to Kitchen if you wish to nab that in this base
- 3 Plugs, one in the upper part, two in the main area
- Right next to bathroom
- Nearby Water Source
- Right next to Garage
- Next to Tram Station
- Nearby charger
Cons:
- Many shelves are occupied by indestructible items
- May feel claustrophobic with it’s layout
Garage > Security and 2 Level Office
Pros:
- Decent Space
- Nearby Vending Machines/Water Source/ Bathroom
- Not too far from trams
- 2 Plugs (1 in security, 1 in 2 Level Office)
Cons:
- Security Bot right outside Security room
Garage > Tool Depot, Maintenance Office, Bathroom, and Upper Shipping
Pros:
- Nearby water source and bathroom
- Next to Tram Station
- Nearby Vending Machines
- Close to Blacksmith
- Plenty of Space
- 4 Plugs (1 in upper shipping, 1 in Maint. Office, 1 In Garage, 1 in Tool Depot)
- Comes with Charging Station
- Forklift Recall button
- Under garage floor makes for great hidden storage
- Shutters and garage doors can be opened/closed as needed
- If you don’t want to make a full base, Tool Depot makes a wonderful outpost (I suggest not unlocking the door once inside)
- Plenty of shelves for more storage
Cons:
- Upper Shipping is radiated
- Area is a little spread out
Garage > Tram Station
Pros:
- Good space
- Looks nice
- Tram is literally right there to take you back to main lobby
- Nearby bathroom
- Water source not too far away
- Next to blacksmith
- Easy to defend if you don’t open garage door, only one way in and out and less exposed
- Could probably build a second floor or on top of Tram
Cons:
- Once door is opened, can NOT be closed
- Only 1 plug for the space
Garage > Blacksmith Area
Pros:
- 3 plugs (two in the side utility area, one in the upper floor)
- Comes with one Blacksmith for easy trades (Plus a genuine 1993 Blacksmith Bobblehead)
- Nearby water source and toilet. Easy tram nearby to the Main Lobby
- Good amount of lighting that stays on during the night
Cons:
- Security bot nearby, can attack you
- Area above Blacksmith needs Keypad Hacker (Tier 2) to access
Shipping > Hallway and Lot Oversight
Pros:
- Plenty of Space
- Potential to build multiple floor
- Comes with charging stations
- Close to blacksmith
- Close to mines/Mapping Center/Shipping
- Not too far from Tram
Cons:
- Only 1 plug (in Lot Oversight, although you could string some wire from Kovak’s mine tunnel nearby)
- No nearby water source or toilet
Shipping > Control Tower
Pros:
- Near Blacksmith for trading
- Zipline for easy access to water/bathroom
- Close to tram
- 1 central plug
- Nice view of shipping
- Elevator leads to outside/plug for additional power
Cons:
- Elevator in middle of room takes up valuable space
- Enemies in room can be hard to take out early game
- Might run out of room late game
Shipping > Storage Office, Kitchen, Upper Floor, and Balcony
Pros:
- A rather large area that
- Comes with kitchen equipped with a coffee machine and a vending machine
- 4 Plugs (Office area has 1, balcony has 1, Upper area has 1, hatch area has 1)
- Nearby charger
Cons:
- No nearby water source
- No nearby toilet
- Some areas may be radiated
Shipping > Alloy Handling
Pros:
- Decent amount of space
- Shelves perfect for storage
- Nearby coffee machine/Food vending machine/Drink Vending Machine/ Charger

- Guarded by a sniper
- No nearby plugs, toilets, or water
- Kind of far from everything
Shipping > Alloy Offices and Control Room
Pros:
- Plenty of Space
- 5 plugs (2 on each floor, 1 in Y shaped control room)
- Easy access to Manufacturing Crossroads
Cons:
- No easy access to water or toilets
- Crates on bottom floor can’t be moved
- Y shaped control room is narrow, will need to get creative for use
Shipping > Logistics Office and Hank’s Room
Pros:
- Good amount of space
- Comes with huge water tank
- 2 Plugs (1 in Logistics office, 1 in Hank’s Room)
- Easy access to Blacksmith/Trams

- Some glass can break
