Acheivment Guide for webfishing (fishing on the web!), featuring links to other guides that go into more detail. Technically it’s the webfishing guide guide.
Intro
Once again I’m making an achievement guide while I play the game so enjoy it!
This is a collection of links to other guides as well as information about my own personal experience so feel free to comment anything I could possibly add to the guide!

First Steps!
‘Catch A Fish’
I don’t think I have to explain this one, since you get it in the tutorial but if you are confused in the tutorial here’s some help.
– Hold Mouse1 to cast out (the click button, if you don’t know what that is how did you get this far?)
– You sell your fish at the pile of dirt with the sign above it labelled “SELL + BAIT”
– Exit to the right of the “SELL + BAIT” sign, you have to sell 1 fish first

‘Reach Rank 5`
Okay so in webfishing there are 2 seperate ranks, both with achievements.
There is your Rank, and then there is your Camp Tier.
This achievement is about reaching rank 5, which you can level up your rank by fishing and completing quests.

Known Camper
‘Increase your Camp Tier to 2’
Like I mentioned in the last achievement, your Camp Tier and rank are separate things.
Camp Tier can be levelled up by talking to the big frog in the cabin (the building next to spawn) and spending a different amount depending on what tier you currently have.
To go from Camp Tier 1 -> 2 costs $250.
I would recommend buying Camp Tier 2 before you buy any lures because the only lure you would really be using after Camp Tier 1 would be the lucky hook. If you’re thinking about the patient lure, theres a guide here for a workaround: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3356053332&searchtext=patient+lure

Fishing Expert
‘Catch 100 Fish’
This one explains itself but here’s some reminders for morons.
– Check you are out of bait by looking in the bottom right of your screen
– If you buy another type of bait it will cost money to refill it, unlike worms
– This doesn’t matter for the achievement but there are different types of fish in freshwater and different types in saltwater, by doing quests such as ‘Catch 20 Freshwater Fish’ you can earn extra money while you are getting this achievement.

Memorable Camper
‘Increase your Camp Tier to 3’
Same thing as Known Camper.
This time it costs $2500.
The best way to get the money for this is to buy Catcher’s Cola ULTRA from the vending machine in between the cabin and the aquarium. They cost $150 but gained me a profit of about $300 per one. Be careful though, the effects do not stack, so don’t buy 3 of them and think you’ll have the effect for 15 minutes. It will just restart the 5 minute effect.

Spectral Secret
‘Obtain the Spectral Rod’
The Spectral Rod is a rod like any other rod in the the game, it just looks different and it can catch fish.
I could spend my time explaining the whole thing but people have done that a lot already.
All I will say is that it cost $500 and here’s some other guides:

Big Wallet
‘Have $10,000 in your pocket at the same time’
Okay you’re stupid if you don’t do this and Favorite Camper at the same time.
Again, my recommendation would be to drink Catcher’s Cola ULTRA to get the maximum amount of money you can and I would stay on the Minnows bait and not spend $8500 on the Squid.

Okay you’re stupid if you don’t do this alongside Big Wallet.
Again, my recommendation would be to drink Catcher’s Cola ULTRA to get the maximum amount of money you can and I would stay on the Minnows bait and not spend $8500 on the Squid.
To go from Camp Tier 3 -> 4 costs $10,000, this is the final Camp Tier (unless one is added in an update).

Life Scout
‘Reach Rank 25’
This one takes a while but there’s some things you could do to speed it up.
1. Stop thinking about filling out your journal
If you are sticking to the worm trying to get every Normal rarity fish in your journal like I am as I’m writing this, stop it right now. The better Tier fish you catch (tier is the star rating, rarity is Normal, Shining, etc.) the more experience you get. Rarity is also a factor in experience, what I’m trying to say is use the best bait you have and if you are at the right Camp Tier buy the Attractive Angler so you will be catching more fish.

Voyager
‘Reach Rank 50’
If you’re up to needing this one you’ve probably gotten everything else so this is what you do.
– Work towards fully upgrading your rod, which you will reach before this
– Use Nautilus as your bait
– Use the Attractive Angler
– Drink either cola, probably drink Catcher’s Cola ULTRA until your rod is maxed out
– Get a fancy outfit, this is going to take a while and you’ll want to look fancy while you’re doing it (I bought every cosmetic)
– Work towards quests and/or your own guide
– Max out both fishing buddies
– Work on your journal (such as going to rain if there is some, don’t swap baits!)
