This game is a Platformer with a lot of simple combat sections and a primary focus on an overarching story, with most cutscenes being delivered through text between levels and a few cutscenes that are fully voiced. The content from the game is its own unique story that takes place during the events of Season 4 of the show.
There are 6 full levels and each one is broken up into multiple sublevels that must be played sequentially. The middle 4 levels can be played in any order and don’t require any special unlocks to complete. Playing through each stage is mostly comprised of linear basic platforming and occasionally a unique level-exclusive gimmick. Spotted around each level are XP orbs that serve as your method to upgrade your character, as well as plenty of enemies who sometimes completely block the area forward and must be fought. Upon completing a level you’re then given a ranking based on 5 different categories of how you cleared that level. Getting a high rank is completely optional.
At the end of each level’s final sublevel you fight a boss. Overall most bosses are very straightforward with a few attacks and voice clips to warn you what’s coming. I don’t believe there’s anything too unique about these bosses besides needing to mash a button at the end of each fight to finish the encounter.
Between levels you’re placed in Marinette’s Neighborhood, usually in her room. You can explore her house, exit from the bakery, wander around the small corner of Paris, chat with major characters from the show, or cross the bridge to access the level select.
After completing each of the middle 4 levels and defeating its boss, you unlock one of the other characters to perform a Super Assist action during combat. These cost some of your blue Assist meter which is refilled by attacking enemies as well as place all of your Hero Assists on a short global cooldown. Unlocking them all and using each of their Super Assists at least one time in your playthrough will grant you both achievements – Power of Friendship and Sidekick.
Vesperia – Venom
Vesperia lands down beside you and your target and emits a short venom wave to stun all foes for a brief duration.
How to unlock: Completing Senate Gardens 03 and defeating Sole Crusher.
Carapace – Shell-ter
Carapace lands down beside you and creates a medium dome of protection that pushes enemies outside and protects you from projectiles.
How to unlock: Completing Northern Hills 03 and defeating the Bubbler.
Viperion – Lyre
Viperion lands down beside you and targets the closest enemy to throw his Lyre out like a boomerang dealing large piercing damage to foes in its path.
How to unlock: Completing Cemetery 03 and defeating Truth.
Rena Rouge – Mirage
Rena Rouge lands down beside you and your creates several illusionary clones before disappearing. These clones will distract foes and stop them from attacking you.
How to unlock: Completing Train Station 03 and defeating Lady Wifi.
You can build a Combo by attacking repeatedly without taking damage and within a 5 second window. After passing a threshold of Combo hits you’re granted a damage multiplier until that Combo gets broken.
- After a 8 Hit Combo your attack gets multiplied by 1.5x against large enemies and bosses.
- After a 10 Hit Combo your attack gets multiplied 1.5x against small enemies and 2.25x against large enemies and bosses.
- After a 25 Hit Combo your attack gets multiplied 2x against small enemies and 3x against large enemies and bosses.
One tip to get both Combo achievements is to focus on using your special ranged attacks often, and always evade through incoming attacks. Never try to pickup all of the dropped XP when going for a higher Combo, the XP and food pickups don’t despawn, so you can focus on keeping your Combo up until the combat area is over.
Getting a 20x Combo for Martial artist is pretty easy and you’ll likely get it normally as you play through the game. There’s no spot you can get a 50x hit Combo for Grand master during the very first level, but you technically can do it as early as the second level when going underground in the subway section (although the timing is very strict). Otherwise the best level to rack up a combo would be Cemetery 02 or Cemetery 03 since there are a lot of large groups of enemies.

Heroez Stats
- Max power: Fully upgrade Ladybug & Cat Noir.
Ladybug and Cat Noir have their own individual stats that can be increased independently from one another. You can buy these upgrades after each level and from the Stats menu on the pause screen in Marinette’s Neighborhood. The values for each upgrade is the same between both Heroez and it’s up to the player to decide what or whom to focus upgrading. Upgrades are unlocked by spending XP which are earned from orbs scattered around each level and dropped from defeated enemies.
Life
Amount of Life in your Health Bar.
Speed
Speed of your character’s attacks during combat. {{Citation Needed}}
Damage
Amount of damage your attacks deal.
Assist Gain
Rate at which your Assist Meter refills. {{Citation Needed}}
XP Multiplier
Multiplies the amount of XP earned from picking up XP orbs.
Not all tiers are available right at the start of the game. Along with having an XP requirement per upgrade, you also need to unlock the entire tier itself. Unlocking the further Stat slots requires defeating bosses, and each boss unlocks an entire column you can upgrade.
- Starting amount.
- Available at the start of the game.
- Unlocked after beating Stormy Weather at the end of the first series of levels.
- Unlocked after beating the boss at the end of the second series of levels.
- Unlocked after beating the boss at the end of the third series of levels.
- Unlocked after beating the boss at the end of the fourth series of levels.
Different colored orbs in the level are worth different amounts of XP. Blue is the most common, with Red and White being fairly infrequent. Black is the rarest one generally saved for very out of the way hiding spots in some levels; but you can pick up an easy one between each level behind the stairs on the bottom floor of the bakery in Marinette’s Neighborhood.
Blue XP: 5
Red XP: 20
White XP: 30
Black XP: 300
To max out both Heroez you will need a total of 42,600 XP. There is more than enough XP to max out every stat before the final series of levels as long as you upgrade XP Multiplier first. Collecting most of the floating XP orbs in each level and taking care of some of the enemies will be enough XP. Once both Ladybug and Cat Noir are fully upgraded you will earn the Max power achievement.
Marinette’s Neighborhood
- Sociable: Talk to Tom, Sabine, Alya, & Luka in Marinette’s house and bakery.
Between levels you will come back to Marinette’s Neighborhood. During these sections you can explore her house, enter the bakery, walk around the surrounding block, and talk to characters from the show. You can use the mirror in Marinette’s room to change cosmetic options if you have any, but this can also be done at any time through the pause menu. This is the only time where you can use the pause menu to unlock stats for Ladybug and Cat Noir if you haven’t spent the XP after completing any level, however the number wont increase on the menu until you enter a new level. There isn’t too much content in this area, but crossing the bridge across the street from Marinette’s house will open up the map of the locations and allow you to select your next level or battle arena.
One important tip is there will always be a Black XP orb behind the stairs in the bakery each time you come back to Marinette’s Neighborhood after completing a level, which gives you 300 XP.
This particular XP is not modified by Ladybug or Cat Noir’s XP Multiplier stat.
After completing levels you will have a chance to talk to different characters around the neighborhood about what has been going on in the story during the level you just cleared. Some characters will be staying inside Marinette’s house or the bakery, while others will be standing around outside. In order to unlock the the Sociable achievement it seems you only need to talk to the 4 characters who reside in Marinette’s house and the bakery. Below is a list of all of the character dialogue spots I was able to find:
Level 1: Exhibition Plaza
- Spots on!: Transform into Ladybug during Exhibition Plaza 01.
- Storm breaker: Complete the level Exhibition Plaza 03 and defeat Stormy Weather.
You can replay this level at any time after beating it through the Scoreboard.
Level 2: Senate Gardens
- Sole crushed: Complete the level Senate Gardens 03 and defeat Sole Crusher.
You can replay this level at any time after beating it through the Scoreboard.
Level 3: Northern Hills
- Burst your bubble: Complete the level Northern Hills 03 and defeat the Bubbler.
You can replay this level at any time after beating it through the Scoreboard.
Level 4: Cemetery
- Digging up the truth: Complete the level Cemetery 03 and defeat Truth.
You can replay this level at any time after beating it through the Scoreboard.
Level 5: Train Station
- Signal lost: Complete the level Train Station 03 and defeat Lady Wifi.
You can replay this level at any time after beating it through the Scoreboard.
Level 6: Obelisk Square
- Curse breaker: Complete the level Obelisk Square 02 and defeat Mega Stormy Weather.
You can replay this level at any time after beating it through the Scoreboard.
Battle Arenas
- Unbeatable: Complete all 4 Battle Arenas.
Battle Arenas are a type of combat-focused level where you must fight 10 waves of enemies in a small zone that may have a centerpiece or no boundaries depending on the stage. Each Battle Arena is unlocked by completing a regular level and are totally optional to the story. There are no rankings for these Battle Arenas and they can’t be replayed when completed.
City Arena
★★★★ Difficulty: Minions from Obelisk Square.
Unlocked: Complete the level Senate Gardens 03 and defeat Sole Crusher.
Park Arena
★☆☆☆ Difficulty: Minions from Senate Gardens & Northern Hills.
Unlocked: Complete the level Northern Hills 03 and defeat the Bubbler.
Graveyard Arena
★★☆☆ Difficulty: Minions from Cemetery.
Unlocked: Complete the level Cemetery 03 and defeat Truth.
Tower Arena
★★★☆ Difficulty: Minions from Train Station.
Unlocked: Complete the level Train Station 03 and defeat Lady Wifi.
These levels must be played very cautiously. During the later waves it begins to spawn large amounts of the toughest Minions from the level the Battle Arena pulls from. The only time you may recover your Life is if you get a lucky food drop from defeating an enemy. If you run out of Life you will need to restart from either the current wave or possibly from the very beginning {{Citation Needed}}. It’s smartest to challenge each of these when your preferred Hero is at maximum stats or when you have more Super Assists available to use in combat.
Completing all 4 of these Battle Arenas will award you with the Unbeatable achievement.
Food Machines (WIP)
- Snack Explorer: Find and use 10 unique Food Machines placed around the levels.
- Foodie: Find and use 20 unique Food Machines placed around the levels.
Around each level there are food machines that can be interacted with by pressing the displayed button. These dispense a random food item to restore some of your Life. You need to interact with 10 different food machines to get the Snack Explorer achievement and 20 different food machines to get the Foodie achievement.
There are more than 20 unique food machines, and as long as you keep your eye out for them, you should be able to find enough during your first play through for the achievements. Below is a list of levels and the amount of food machines I was able to find during them.
This table is a work-in-progress and I will be filling this out soon when I get a chance to replay the game.

{{Guide Information Status & Missing Info}}
I just wanted to publish the list of important info like the stage rankings, which it seems like there’s no way to find that info without playing the level.

- Figure out exactly what the stat Speed does for a Hero.
- Figure out exactly what the stat Assist Gain does for a Hero.
- Confirm what happens when dying during a Battle Arena.
- Find all of the locations for Food Machines in the game.

- Earn a 5 Star Ranking in every level to see what happens.
