Are you struggling to solve the puzzles in Tangle Tower? Look no further! In this guide, we’ll walk you through each puzzle step by step, so you can continue on with your adventure. I found myself in the same situation and couldn’t find any help on Steam, so I decided to create this guide to make it easier for others. Let’s get started!
Before we start…
+I got help from Detective Grimoire Wiki’s page[detectivegrimoire.fandom.com]
The puzzles are not gonna be in a specific order and you can solve them whenever you want during the game.
(I mean the game itself let you leave them for now and wander around and then come back later to deal with ’em. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
I put solution for puzzles below in order I faced them throughout the game which is right after finding them in every room (I have OCD and I can’t leave the room without clearing it out entirely -__-).
However there are lots of hints on how you can solve each puzzle in the game. There are times that Sally and Grimoire literally tell you what you need to do in order to solve them and you just need to pay more attention and focus a little.
However since I’m a potato myself, I thought maybe other fellow potatoes gonna need help just like me >:D
ALSO THERE ARE GONNA BE SPOILERS AHEAD
Harp Statue (1)
It can’t be solved until you find all the other stuff so we will be back for it later.
However this should be how it looks when you first encounter it:
Flora’s Gemstone Egg
Interact with it and the puzzle shows up. The point of this puzzle is to place the gems in their right positions.
There’s a clue on the back of the egg telling you where to put the gems. BUT the lines on it are not in the same position as the front of the egg. All you need to do is to follow both ends of each line, see which is for which and put the gems in the right spots according to the pattern on the back of the egg.
Here is the right way to place them:
Felix’s Treasure Chest
To solve this puzzle you need to find the X island on the map that matches the coordinations with the one on the chest. As you can see there’s a sea serpent on the left of the X, a rock on the right, a palm tree and some birds flying in the distance sky.
According to the map, X island is located at H6. The direction we’re looking is facing West so the answer is gonna be H6W.
Freya’s Paint Brushes
In this puzzle you need to rearrange the brushes based on the clue paper on the left side of the screen.
First thing first is to solve the paper on the left.
Based on what you can see on the paper clue, the brushes need to be arranged. There are 4 things you need to pay attention to before placing them:
The height and type of each brush & color of the paint and the handles.
According to the paper the answer is gonna be like below:
Fifi’s Microscope
To solve the puzzle you’re gonna need to place the 4 magnifying lenses in a way that they’re going to make the key shape thing underneath them in a bigger scale. Keep in mind that each one of them has a different magnifying strength.
Hawkshaw’s Clock Box
In this puzzle you’ll need to place hands of each clock from left to right on 3,9,12 and 6.
You can solve it by trying it a few times and learning its movements but the easiest way to solve it in just two moves gonna be like below:
and the result is gonna be:
EZ HAH!~
Fitz’s Lockbox
In the following puzzle just mess with the stained glasses (papers? .-.) and form 4 different shapes. Check all the columns after each shape you’ve made. You’ll find its match in one of the columns.
Intract with the door and you’ll find another puzzle (2). It’s gonna have another half but before reaching it you’ll need to meet Poppy and unlock her room. Since these two puzzles are related I’ll put a whole section for it so for now lets move onto the next puzzle.
Poppy’s Metronome
Just like the Hawkshaw’s Clock puzzle, you can solve this one by some trial and error. The goal is to align each hoops underneath the golden one at the top of the metronome.
Based on the game’s wiki page, I found an easy way to solve it.
Tap on the second button 2 times. Then tap the third buttons 2 times.
Click the fourth buttons 4 times and afterward tap the second button 6 times.
(I wrote the numbers on each buttons if it’s gonna make it any easier to understand)
And the hoops are gonna look like this afterwards:
In the next section imma talk about the lock in the Poppy’s room (2) as well as the one we found at Fitz’s.
Poppy & Fitz’s Door Locks
If you’re solving Poppy’s lock, put the moon blocks the way they’re hatched on the Fitz’s lock.
If you’re solving Fitz’s lock, do the same for the sun blocks.
(I think showing a pic would be much easier in this case <_<“)
This is how Fitz’s lock needs to be done:
And here is Poppy’s:
You can solve them in either order and when you finish one, you’ll need to reach to the other room and solve the other and only then, the door to rooftop garden’s will be unlocked.
Penelope’s Birdhouse
This puzzle is one of the easiest imo…
It resembles a family tree and you have to pay attention to the colors of each bird.
Place the blue and the yellow ones on top and then follow the color combination of them in the next row below which is gonna be green.
Green and red will make brown so put the brown one on the lowest row on the right.
white and green will make the light green bird that will be placed on the lowest left side.
Pointer’s Solar System
In this puzzle we can move sun, moon and the planets. By moving the sun and moon on the outer line, the planets will make shadows. Our goal is to match the shadow they make with the lines underneath them.
Place either moon or sun on 1 and 5 o’clock position and now play with the planets to find out the pattern.
At the end it’s gonna look like this:
Will add the rest ASAP
