In this gaming guide, I will show you how to obtain all achievements in Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley. I have marked the locations of necessary collectables on the in-game world map. Follow this guide for a 100% completion rate.

Main Quest (and nearby)
After encountering Sniff and Spider on the way to Moominvalley and attacking Spider with the bird, talk to Spider again; he will (indirectly) ask for a butterfly. Continue down the path just a bit until you see one, then play harmonica to lead it back to Spider. You will talk to Spider again and unlock the achievement.
In the night forest, when Groke is chasing you, make sure to not be caught by it once. Just follow go down the path, and use sprinting when available.
Another achievement in the night forest level. When the fire starts, lead Groke to all flames you see. Make sure not to miss any: it is technically possible to pass this section and not put out all the fires for the achievement.
Achievement requires to knock down every statue in every park. There are statues only in two parks:
Three can be found in the first park (after the very small tutorial one) on the way to Moominvalley:
Seven more statues are in the park on the Hattifatteners Island: a key is hidden under one of them, so you really only need to knock statues until you find it. For the achievement though, knock down all seven.
After returning to the valley from the island, the main quest will continue at the Park Keeper’s house. To obtain the achievement, you must interact with everything in the yard to mess it up.
The theater quest will lead you to Fillyjonk’s house, but she refuses to go outside and help. To get her out, interact with everything in the yard. Don’t forget the clothes drying outside: walk into them to put dirt on them:
Side Quests
Find Sniff at the entrance to the cave (see the S mark on the map). You will need to complete the night forest first to unlock flute, as well as reach level 4 of inspiration. Finishing this quest is required for the Deep Down achievement
Find Little My in the well near the tree house where Snorkmaiden is (see the m mark on the map). She will ask to bring her a new toy, which happens to be Sniff’s reward for completing his side quest. In exchange, you will get a Masterpiece page.
Find Ninny the Invisible Child on the beach, north of where Too-ticky is (see the N mark on the map). The area is only available after completing the night forest and unlocking the flute. To complete the quest, you will also need to do Hattifatteners Island and unlock the drum first.
Find Primadonna’s Horse on the Hattifatteners Island (see the H mark on the island map). She will ask for something as beautiful as her, and we bring her her own reflection by finding a mirror in a sand pile just a little bit down the path. You fill need level 6 inspiration to dig it out.
Find Hemulen Painter in the lower area south of the tree house and the well (see the H mark on the map). The quest requires finding three puddles in the area, and as a reward, you will get a Masterpiece page.
Another important side quest is the one of Snorkmaiden: it does not have an achievement of its own, but you get a Masterpiece page as a reward, and you need it for the Pages of Genius achievement. You can find Snorkmaiden at the tree house (clearly detectable on the map). She asks to find her anklet, which is in a birds nest in the fern area near where Snork is (it is also the same place where you can find a Masterpiece page and a chanterelle). Play harmonica to briefly chase the bird away and quickly grab the item before the bird returns.
These three side quests do not result in the achievement of their own, nor do they help you in collecting Masterpiece pages, but I am including them for the sake of Conversationalist achievement which requires talking to every creature in the game.
Arguably another side quest achievement is Muskrat’s Run for the Hills, but that one requires a bit more exploration than the other ones, and so has it’s own section.
Run for the Hills (Muskrat’s Stamina Achievement)
Note that if you inspiration is high enough, you can get most of these ingredients after the night forest level, except one seaweed that is locked behind a sand pile, so you need the drum to get it. Meaning, you can level up your stamina twice pretty early on in the game!
Bees and birds achievements
Find three bees and lead them to their hives using harmonica (level 1):
- The bee near Muskrat’s campfire.
- The bee near Little My’s well.
- The bee in the forest area right after the second park in the Moominvalley.
Find three songbirds and play harmonica for them (level 1):
- The songbird in the prologue as you are approaching the Moominvalley, just before the first anthill in the game. Make sure to collect this one, as you will not be able to go back here later on!
- The songbird in the area between Muskrat’s campfire and the entrance to the first park.
- The songbird just a bit north of Snorkmaiden’s treehouse.
- The songbird in the forest area right after the second park in the Moominvalley.
Find three woodpeckers and play drum for them (level 5):
- The woodpecker in the area leading up to Sniff’s Cave.
- The woodpecker near the waterfall area where Snork is.
- The woodpecker just above the area where the Hemulin Painter is.
The in-game screenshots of the mentioned locations:
I do not provide the beehives locations, but they are always very close to the bees, and most of the time you have to go up to find it.
Just Gazing and Sightseer
Additionally, there are several vistas (eight, according to the save files) which are not specially marked in the game.
Pages of Genius
There are three pages you obtain for completing the side quests of Little My, Snorkmaiden, and Hemulen Painter. See the Side Quests section of the guide for more information on those.
Nine pages are found across the Moominvalley.
The remaining pages are found on the island. Pay attention! You cannot go back to the island once you go back, so make sure to get everything before leaving.
Also note that you will need inspiration level 6 to get to the fifth page on this list, so it’s best to make sure you are at least level 5 before even going to the island. It is possible to reach level 6 before leaving for the island, it might require exploring the Moominvalley a bit more.
Other achievements
Once you unlock the drum by completing Hattifatteners Island, you can play it around ferns to trample them down to avoid having to walk very slowly through them, not to mention the occasional inspiration points you can get. To get the achievement, play the drum on every fern you see, and it will be unlocked after doing so on 50 bushes. Two major fern areas are in the forest in the North-West part of the Moominvalley near the waterfall where Snork is, and also just a little West of the tree house, specifically the location where Stinky is if you are doing Ninny’s Garment Grabber side quest. There are no ferns growing on the Hattifatteners Island, so if you are still missing ferns you only need to focus on the Moominvalley.
The achievement asks to talk to the following creatures: TeetyWoo, Muskrat, Sniff, Spider, Police Officers (both in tutorial park and upon entering the night forest), Duck (with the key), Moominmamma, Moominpappa, Little My, Sea Creature (when retrieving rope for the raft), Hedgehog from the night forest, Too-Ticky, Ninny (only after she introduces herself), Ghost from a park in the Moominvalley, Snork, Cedric (Sniff’s toy friend), Hemulen Plant Collector (on the Hattifatteners Island), Moomintroll, the Park Keeper, Primadonna’s Horse, Hemulen Bug Collector, Toffle, Stinky, Snorkmaiden, the Park Keeper’s Cousin, Fillyjonk, and Hemulen Painter. Most of the creatures are either integral to the story or have quests for you, so as long as you do all of them the achievement should unlock. Check the Side quests section of the guide to make sure you are not missing any side quests.
Reach the maximal level of inspiration, which is 8. Make sure to explore every nook and cranny of the locations you find yourself in, especially the story-specific levels like the prologue, Hattifatteners Island or the night forest since you cannot go back there once you are done with them. There are often little spots just outside the screen that have a bunch of bushes with inspiration points or such. Play drum on dandelions you see around the valley for extra points. And of course, the main source of inspiration is completing quests.
