Big Valley
In West Elizabeth lies the Big Valley region, my personal favorite location in all of Red Dead Redemption 2. If I closed my eyes and imagined a heaven, this is exactly what it would look like. It is a vast open field full of lavender flowers, separated by various streams, with a view of the enormous Mount Shann off in the horizon.
Grizzlies West
In the state of Ambarino, the Grizzlies West are well known to every player of Red Dead Redemption 2. While not so noteworthy in the beginning of the game, given the harsh conditions, returning to the Grizzlies later in the story reminds you of how beautiful they actually are. The vast snowy landscape separates it from every other location in the game, and the icy rivers & lakes are extremely gorgeous.
Aurora Basin
Located in the middle of West Elizabeth, Aurora Basin is a very scenic and peaceful place to visit. The lake has clear water, and is surrounded by lovely wilderness. It can be a fantastic place to fish, and a good spot to hunt as well.
Brandywine Drop
Near Roanoke Valley, Brandywine Drop is a breathtaking waterfall. There is even a stone ledge that you can walk across hidden behind the waterfall, which makes it all the more amazing.
Donner Falls
Donner Falls, yet another waterfall, is located in the Grizzlies East region of the map. While you won’t enjoy falling off the waterfall, you will enjoy admiring its beauty from below.
Horseshoe Overlook
Horseshoe Overlook, found in the Heartlands, is perhaps the most iconic location in the entire game. Although its scenery is mostly overlooked, due to it being the gang’s camp ground, if you take a minute to admire the view; you will see for yourself how beautiful it actually is.
Bayou Nwa
When you first enter Lemoyne and come across Bayou Nwa, you might not think it looks so pretty, especially when compared to the rest of the map… but there definitely is a certain beauty to behold. Inspired by the real life bayous in Louisiana, there’s something charming about the unique landscape. Watching the sun set over the swamp can be a beautiful sight, but you won’t want to stay much longer after that; there are many dangers in the area that reveal themselves during the night.
Braithwaite Manor
In western Lemoyne, the Braithwaite Manor is a massive estate located on the coast of the Lannahechee River. Surrounded by farmland, the center of attention falls on the picturesque mansion owned by Catherine Braithwaite. The long scenic pathway leading up to the property is absolutely amazing as well.
(Extra) Out of Bounds
South of Braithwaite Manor, out of bounds of the playable map, is a surprisingly beautiful location. While you can only reach the place using the assistance of teleportation, it is still really cool that it’s even in the game at all.
