For Blood West players looking to unlock all achievements in this game, this guide will show you how, with detailed instructions. Let’s get started.

Gotta Catch Em’ All
Collect all Cursed Items in Chapter One
In every named area on the map, there’s a piece of cursed gold that makes your screen swirl with black when you get close. Usually, you’ll find these near the bottom or end of the area. But for the Burial Mound and Fort, check the center. Remember, there are different paths to the Church and Mine items on the far west side of the map that take you straight to the room.
Here’s what you’re on the lookout for: A Gold Chunk (Mine, bottom), Gold Skull (Fort, Center building), Gold Star (Canyon, on the chest of a skeleton), Gold Chalice (Church, on the altar underground), Gold Cauldron (Farm, underground), and a Gold Dagger (Burial Site, Center of the area). You’ll eventually get hints on where most of them are. After getting more than half, the game lets you move forward, but if you continue hunting for the cursed gold, you’ll get an extra bonus.
Bloody Roots
Defeat the boss of Chapter One
The boss is a peculiar evil tree that occasionally shows a soft, red, pulsing weak spot. Bullets with fire work the best, but gold rounds will also do significant damage. If you collect all the Cursed Gold, the Totem of Souls informs you about an alternative path where you can shoot red root pustules to harm the boss. However, this only partially damages the boss; you still need to defeat it by using the Raven Totem to teleport to the boss fight.
Pondering My Orbs
Kill Chapter One boss without destroying it’s orbs
During the fight, flowers with red orbs will appear. Shooting these will make the boss expose its weak spot. It’s important to note that you don’t have to shoot them to defeat the boss; it will reveal itself eventually on its own.
Spike Dancer
Kill Chapter One boss without getting hit by the spikes
Honestly, not sure how I pulled this off. I just somehow avoided getting hit. Watch out for bubbles; they show where the spikes will hit. There are platforms you can use if needed. Keep in mind, there are other things in the boss arena that can hurt you, but they don’t count for this challenge.
Trial By The Roots
Don’t die in Chapter One
For the sake of your sanity, try this one after finishing the game. When tackling all the “Don’t Die” achievements, it’s simply about calmly taking out enemies from a distance and steering clear of risky battles.
Blood Money
Complete Jim Hooper’s Quest
The Watchtower is a named area on the side of the canyon. You’ll need to battle your way in and reach the second floor. There, next to a broken beam, you’ll find a coin that’s been shot through. The game will suggest giving it to Jim. I’m not sure if refusing to give him the coin earns the achievement, but honestly, it’s not worth keeping. You’ll replace it with much better artifacts in Chapter Two.
The Bush Is Moving!
Kill a vendigo while drunk
This is much easier than it sounds. You can find several rums, whiskeys, and beers. Drink a “weak alcohol” and then confront a Vendigo with your shotgun. This method also works for the “Kill 50 things while Drunk” achievement, but Vendigos are more common in Chapter One. If you really need to find one, head north to the Burial Mounds.
Chapter Two
Masked Mystery
Meet Anabelle
She’s practically right next to you when the Chapter starts
Voodoo Daughter
Meet Twen
You can find her in the Sawmill. Look for a path underground near the southern part of the compound. Once you go downstairs, you’ll spot a hole in the base of the wall covered by a spiderweb – that’s where Twen is hiding. Her quest involves going beyond her into a small enclosed area underground and fetching her item from the floor. Once you return it to her, she’ll make her way back to camp.
Man Of The Cloth
Meet Priest
I usually head east from the hideout to the fort and explore the cave beneath it because the Priest is searching for a divine relic. He won’t leave without it. You’ll recognize it when you find it; it’s in one of the rooms overlooking the underground docks. Once you have the relic, you can ascend into the fort, and you’ll find the Priest in the tower overlooking the compound.
The Undead
Meet the Undead
Once you’ve rescued the other two characters, you’ll be told about someone nearby who can provide the right direction. The required parts are found on the top floor of the gunsmith in the Alligator Farm, locked in a coffin near the Town church, and in the depths of the Cultist Caves.
Giant From Beyond
Defeat the Chapter Two Boss
It’s another tree. This time it walks in a perfect circle while ignoring you through sheer force of will. Again just abuse the DoTs on fire bullets and plug it in the head with gold rounds.
Trial By The Tentacles
Don’t die in Chapter two
For Whom The Bell Tolls?
Decide who gets the cure
After rescuing the Priest, he reveals he’s searching for a cure through a mysterious and seemingly useless riddle. The circle of earth is situated to the north, just east of the gator farm. In that area, you’ll encounter three or so spectral gunslingers guarding a blue potion near the center. The choice is yours to give it to Annabelle or the Priest, but it’s advisable to choose Annabelle. Buy the bag from the Priest and then hand the potion to Annabelle, as she sells essential items and ammunition, unlike the Priest who offers potions and long ammo. It’s a tricky decision between the seemingly useless vendor and the one who keeps your gun fed.
Casanova
Gave Annabelle her favorite flower
After rescuing Twen and the Priest, you can ask about Annabelle’s preferences. Express curiosity and ask about her favorite flower. Annabelle discloses that she likes a type of flower that grows around fires. To fulfill this, head to a burnt-down cottage in the northwest, guarded by a squad of Deathstalkers. Once you’ve learned about her favorite flower, pick it up and present it to her. She will accept the Angel’s Halo, but unfortunately, it won’t earn you the achievement.
Alvaro’s Friend
Find Alvaro in Chapter Two
Many stumps hide concealed items, and if you walk up to them, you can peer right inside. Among these stumps, one contains a blackened Raven skull, allowing you to teleport to Alvaro. He utters gibberish but rewards you with a good relic afterward. It’s recommended to immediately use a regular raven skull after grabbing it instead of going downstairs.
While some believe the Raven is randomly placed, I found it in the same stump others mentioned: just west of the hideout. Hug the water to the north, and you’ll find it along the coast of the swamp.
Chapter Three
Old Friend, New Enemy
Defeat the Chapter Three boss
To tackle the boss, you need to be ready for his fire attacks, so make sure to increase your fire resistance. When he grabs the platform, look for the spot close to his head where you can shoot directly into his skull with buckshot. Keep in mind that shotguns and revolvers might not work well because he tends to stay a bit out of reach. If you have plenty of health potions and fire resistance, the fight will be easier for you.
Trial By The Fire
Don’t die in Chapter Three
Skin Dancer
Complete Boo Hag’s Quest
This is a textbook fetch quest. The Boo Hag shows up at the Undead Camp during the middle of the main quest. Head to the specified location and search for a small square cellar entrance; the item you need is on a shelf. Your reward is information about hidden supply caches, but there’s nothing valuable there, and it’s not necessary for the achievement.
Price of Science
Complete the Doctor’s quest
After finishing the tasks for the main quest, return to him, and he will inform you about the person writing the notes you’ve been discovering. Head to the specified location and collect both the note and monocle for the Doctor.
Alvaro’s Best Friend
Find Alvaro in Chapter Three
Count on RNG for this achievement. Follow the tracks until you spot a red train car near the Circus. Inside, there’s a cursed die that rolls every five minutes or when resting. If it lands on a six, you’ll be teleported to a random cave. Look for another black raven skull inside, either on the floor or placed on a rock. Some say it’s random, but it was right where others mentioned for me.
There are about five caves in total. One has cultists, another features a miner, one is super shallow, another has burial mounds and shriekers, and the last one is winding caves with shriekers. In my case, the skull was on a rock ten feet forward from where you appear in the winding caves.
Your reward is more gibberish and a hint about another relic. At the Undead’s camp, you’ll find a knife called the painting cutter. Take it to the wagon near the tunnel leading to the sawmill, strike the painting with it, and you’ll gain access to a secret area where that relic is.
All Over The Place
Keep Your Mask On
Headshot a Prodigal Daughter from behind so that her Mask is not removed
Headhunter
100 Headshots
Serial Headshotter
Five Headshots in a row
Back To The Grave
Headshot a Half-Risen Dead while it’s coffin is intact
Just be patient and let it throw bones at you, this gives you a pretty clear shot.
Explosive Soul
Blow up a spirit with dynamite
Spirits are the blue glowing skulls that Vendigos summon in Chapter One and accompany Spectral Gunslingers in Chapter Two. Chapter Two is easier in dealing with them because they typically stay closer to the ground.
Big Bada Boom
Blow up five enemies at once with Dynamite
In Chapter Three, there are slow enemies that you can safely provoke and run circles around. Around the Sawmill, there are about ten of them. I simply ran in wide circles around the Sawmill, shooting anything that could keep up with me. When the time was right, I gathered them closely and dealt with the entire group explosively.
Drunken Brawl
Kill 50 enemies while drunk
I got this achievement when I killed a Vendigo while under the influence. I set it on fire and used my shotgun. The idea is that it counted all the Spirits it was rapidly summoning. However, the simple strategy is to just have some weak booze before fights, and you’ll eventually unlock the achievement.
Pyromancer
Kill 50 enemies with fire
If you have not been using fire bullets, start using them. They do serious damage to most of the tougher enemies in the game.
Tomahawk Expert
Ten Tomahawk headshot kills in a row
When in doubt, go to the sawmill in Chapter Three and abuse the slow, blind enemies. Make sure to grab the perks that improve thrown weapon damage
Wilhelm Scream
Survive a two second drop
The current theory suggests that if you equip three face-scalps for 60% damage reduction, drink a maximum health potion, and leap from the top of the lighthouse after talking to Alvaro, you’ll survive. Alternatively, this may work off the side of the cliffs that the chaos dice send you to. In either case, I’m not entirely certain about this one yet.
Personal Coach
Tire a Skin Collector out three times in one fight
The large enemies that show up in Chapter Two and Three sometimes pause and get exhausted for a few seconds. Exploit the fact that enemies don’t jump in this game and lead the foe around an obstacle like a log. It’s also possible to provoke multiple skin collectors to accelerate this process.
I Like Pain
Have four Curses active at the end of a chapter
The easiest place to achieve this is in Chapter One. Stock up on gold and flame ammo, intentionally get killed multiple times until four distinct curses reach their maximum level, take the alternate route to weaken the boss before the fight, and then enter the battle swinging.
Loremaster
Find every single note in the game
