“Get ready to help out Haruka in Yakuza 5 Remastered! This post-game activity, available in Premium Adventure, allows you to fulfill Haruka’s requests and spend quality time with her Uncle Kaz in different cities. In this guide, we’ll explain the mechanics of this side quest system and what you need to complete it. So let’s dive in and make Haruka’s wishes come true!”
Introduction
On top of simply listing what to do I wanted to go a bit more in-depth into how the mode works, given that it’s changed a bit since the previous title.
How it works in Yakuza 5
Once she’s wit you there will be this big “Request made…” icon on the screen. Get used to it, it never goes away! Part of me thinks the icon was meant to disappear once there weren’t any more requests in the current city, but even when you’re 100% done with all requests, it will still be there. If anything it serves as a reminder that Haruka is with you currently… in case you somehow forget.
Oh and you saw that right, I mentioned “current city”. As a bonus, when Kiryu and Haruka are together, you’re able to travel to any city in the game. This allows Kiryu to participate in most activities that otherwise are city exclusives, with certain exceptions, of course.
As for how the requests work, if you did this the previous 2 games you’ll remember that, as usual, the more activities you do, the more her trust meter will raise and rank up. Previously, depending on your rank, you would have a set of activities you could do, and would often have to return to the same place later on once the trust level was higher, for a secondary request.
In Y5, rank requirements are gone, you are able to do any activity in any order, besides one exception. If you know where to go, you’ll be able to head to places and instantly start fulfilling requests. But assuming you didn’t have access to a guide like this one, Haruka will eventually speak out by showing an exclamation mark above her head, and telling Kiryu one of the activities she wants to do.
Once you complete all other activities in a city, she’ll ask for one final request, to take a photo together at a PrintCircle machine within the current city. After that you’ll have completed a city’s worth of activities and can move onto another one.
Here is the list of rewards you get from Haruka after reaching specific ranks, this is always kind of the same between the games, not sure how Kiryu keeps losing these items!
- E: Haruka’s Candy
- D: Haruka’s Chocolate
- C: Haruka’s Amulet
- B: Red Jewel
- A: Haruka’s First-Aid Kit
- S: Haruka’s Bento
- SS: Haruka will sometimes call the dice on Cho-han if you take her with you. (it doesn’t actually guarantee it’ll win)
- SSS: Haruka’s Necklace
- EX: Morning Glory Belly Warmer
That is pretty much the explanation, now, I took the liberty of organizing the activities she wants and put them in a neat order that minimizes traveling through repeated places, so lets get on with them!
Kamurocho
- Cafe Alps: Buy Haruka a Strawberry Parfait
- Smile Burger: Buy Haruka a Braised Pork Burger Set
- Pronto (Day): Buy Haruka some Sea Urchin Cream Sauce Spaghetti
- Matsuya (by Milenium Tower): Buy Haruka a Grilled Chicken Bowl
- M Store: Buy Haruka a Tuna Onigiri
- Kanrai: Buy Haruka some Stone-roasted Bibimbap
That’s all for the buying requests, now for the minigames in this city:
- Nakamichi Street Club SEGA: Win a Jumbo Bun-chan for Haruka
- Bantam: Beat Solo 901 Darts in 15 rounds. This is an incredibly generous round number, should not be a challenge
- Yusosono Hot Springs: Win an Air Hockey match against Haruka. You can’t stare or use a Heat Action in this mode!!! I recommend normal difficulty, Hard tends to be a bit unfair.
- Kamurocho Batting Center: Get all the answers right in Academic mode. If you want some info on this minigame I’ve written another guide regarding it, I’ll link it at the end.
- Karaokekan: Cheer on Haruka and score at least 900 on Loneliness Loop
Now for some gambling activities, for these you need to leave the minigame after having X amount of points more than the amount you started with. I recommend using cheat items to get it done instantly (besides Koi-koi, that cheat item is unreliable)
- Dragon Palace Gambling Hall: 300 points in Oicho-kabu
- 1000 points in Koi-koi
- 1000 points in Cee-lo
- Fu-kuma Casino: 1000 chips in roulette
- 2000 chips in Poker
- 1000 chips in Low Stakes Blackjack
- Purgatory Fishing Spot: Catch a Ghost Koi. Make sure it’s night time and use Cat Nip or Club Sandwiches as bait
- Tokyo Docks: Fish an Oarfish. It’s found from around 80 to 150m, I’d aim for around 100. Just use the bait the guy sells at the bay.
This is the 19th and final regular request, after this, Haruka will ask you to take a picture together at a PrintCircle machine, you can go to any SEGA arcade for this.
Aaaaand you’re done with Kamurocho!! Here’s a map of the route for the food spots and icons of where the minigames are, feel free to do some activities in between, as I said I had prepared this material beforehand and didn’t wanna change it.
Nagasugai
The taxi will drop you near the south west of the city, so let’s get cracking:
- Food Stalls: Pretty much were you play Tatsuya Noodles, there will be a small heart to heart event with Haruka. I suggest you save before doing this and check out both of the conversational options that can happen here.
- M Store Nagasugawa: Buy Haruka a Bean Paste Bun
- Fu-kuya: Buy Haruka some Aji Mentaiko 240g (Regular)
- Motsunabe Kaede: Buy Haruka some Miso Motsunabe
- Hanamidori: Buy Haruka some Hanamidori Mizutaki
- Don Quijote: Buy Haruka a Black Umbrella
- Ose Bridge: Another event happens here. Also has 2 conversational options, so I recommend saving before to see both.
- Bar Bee: Get 250+ points in Count-Up Darts, if you can land consistent bullseyes its easy
- Club SEGA: Beat the entirety of Virtua Fighter 2. Thankfully, this location has the (allegedly) easiest difficulty. You need to defeat the 10 playable characters. An easy cheese strat is to use Jeffry McWild and spam the left trigger, it should be an attack that lunges forward and you’re trying to push the opponent of the stage. There is a bonus stage against a metallic boss, you can quit the minigame when you reach it, you’ve already met the requirement,
Now walk out and into the arcade again for a PrintCircle photo and to wrap up this city!
I think the Virtua Fighter requirement is for me the “hardest” request she makes, overall. You need to do it for the Completion List so may as well kill two birds with one stone. Here’s a map of the route taken:
Tsukimino
- Sushi Zanmai: Buy Haruka some Uni
- Mishiyono: Buy Haruka some Gyoza Curry
- Gyoza King: Buy Haruka some Shrimp in Chili Sauce
- Main Street Public Park: There is a small event in east part, in front of the whale sculpture. There aren’t any more conversational options in any further events, so no need to save beforehand anymore.
- Seicomart: Two things to buy here, first, Haruka wants a Handmade Seaweed Onigiri
Walk out and go in again to buy her a Sparkling Cola
- Matsuo Lamb Barbeque: Treat Haruka to some Grade-A Lamb Barbeque
- Ambitious Bar: Beat Solo 9 Ball Pool without Fouls. Since you’re solo there’s little pressure, only in very rare chances you may get stuck in an impossible to hit shot, simply play it slow and safe.
- Northern Lane: Win a Bowling game against Haruka. You can choose to play 3 or 10 frames, I prefer 3 since it is easier and faster. Assume she’ll score around 50 points. Her AI will make her fail sometimes, some others she’ll be pretty consistent. Just retry in case you fail, she’s no expert.
After this, walk out and back into the alley and you’ll find the PrintCircle to the right, finishing up this city!
This one was pretty easy to follow, not sure why they chose two items at Seicomart instead of having another restaurant be a request, perhaps we’ll never know. Here’s a map of the route:
Sotenbori
- Iwao Bridge: Small event here
- Tsuruhashi Fugetsu: Buy Haruka some Potato, Mochi and Cheese Okonomiyaki
- Kani Douraku: Treat Haruka to the Crab Nabe “Maihime” Course
- Ganko Sushi: Buy Haruka some Fatty Tuna Sushi
- Zuboraya: Buy Haruka the Dojima Set
- Kushikatsu Daruma: Buy Haruka some Garlic Chicken
- Yokobori Golf Center: Score 650+ points in the Intermediate Course. There will be a small amount of wind you need to adjust for, but overall aim for about 50% of power to hit the 100 point target.
- Karaokekan: Cheer on Haruka and score at least 900 in Because I Have You
- Club SEGA: Reach Stage 3 in Gunrhein. The minigame has barely gotten difficult at that point, should be easy.
Finally, walk in and out for the city closing photo!
Half of the things are on a neat line in here, the only outlier was the Karaoke. Here’s the map of the route, I guess you COULD do the Karaoke first and then everything is closeby:
Kineicho
- TV Tower: An event happens here
- Yamamoya Honten: Buy Haruka some Miso Stewed Udon with Choice Kurobuta
- M Store: Buy Haruka a Grilled Onigiri with Miso
- Osumii Drugs: Buy Haruka a Tauriner
- Sekai no Yamachan: Share some Premium Tebasaki Chicken Wings with Haruka
- Ferris Wheel: Go down to the South part of town for an event here
- Karaokekan: Cheer on Haruka and score 900 or more in So Much More!
- First Shot Bar: Win a game of 8-Ball Pool against Haruka. She will be around an intermediate level opponent, it shouldn’t be so difficult.
- Club SEGA: Play Nijiiro Yumeiro Taikoiro in Taiko no Tatsujin and score 250.000 or more on the Normal difficulty. This score isn’t so bad to reach, the Taiko song selections are hardly difficult.
Walk out and back in, pose for one final photo, and complete the final request!
Another neat route on this city, which wraps up all her whims! Here’s the final map:
Closing Words
I have been doing them in every game they’re available and this game’s version felt like a warm extra activity, compared to the insanely difficult ones found in 3, this one was refreshing. I do always enjoy fulfilling them anyways.
Here’s a few useful or interesting resources for your curiosity.
First, I had made a guide for Yakuza 3’s Requests, which in tandem was made as a written version of a YouTube video I had made about them, you can check the guide here, the link to the video is referenced on it at well:

Next, the guide for the Batting Center in this game, you can find a few tips there:

Finally, this guide was a side project I did to complement a video about 100%ing this game, as I alluded to earlier, I didn’t find really good reference material for this topic myself, so I decided to make it on my own, this guide is meant as a written version of my section about Haruka’s Requests on this video. If you want to learn about different areas about the MANY completion things in this game, then you can check out the video:
(I’ll be linking it once its uploaded)
That is all, I hope you enjoyed this guide and that it was useful somehow.
Thank you for reading and happy hunting!
