Looking to master all the achievements in Withering Rooms? This guide has got you covered! Learn the basics and conquer every achievement with ease.
Intro/opening
Couple important things to note, there are a few achievements that I would consider missable, I will mark them below. There are also multiple endings, 3 of which can be obtained through save manipulation to save time. The last ending has to be done in NG+.
Achievement Total: 54
Missable: 9*
Playthroughs: 4(Can be done in 2)
*I have not tested all of them to be truly missable,, I’ve just based it off what I know. I will also mark each one with a *.

Prologue:
Chapter 1:
Chapter 2:
Chapter 3:
Chapter 4:
Ending A:
Ending B:
Ending C*:
This ending is actually missable, however I will explain on the Night Mother’s Instruments as that achievement is why this one is missable
Chapter 1
Murder:
Chances are you’ll kill something the second you get a weapon, but even if you don’t, you have to kill to progress anyway, so you’ll get it no matter what during the story.
The Craft:
You are unlikely to go through the game without crafting a single thing, props if you do, but like why would you.
Oil Lamp*:
This is the first missable, as I don’t believe you actually need to get this item to progress the story, however it does make life easier. A trade will be offered for it during chapter 1. The vicar/Priest in front of the hedge maze at the east of the house is the one who gives it to you.
Ascended:
You have plenty of opportunities to do this, earliest is chapter 1.
The Wrong Room:*
It’s not ever required to enter this room to beat the game. The way to enter is found on a piece of paper somewhere in the house. However, in chapter 3/4, you can no longer enter this room and will enter the alternative version. For those who don’t care about finding the way in game, Open and close any door in the house 3 times, and then go through the door and you’ll be in the wrong room. you can only go here in chapter 1/2 and It’s the same method for the alternative version of this room in chapter 3/4
Surgeon’s Blood:
Boss fight, story related, can’t miss.
Guardian’s Blood:
Same as above
Photographic Proof:
You are unlikely to not get this as there a few spirit enemies in the hedge maze. You buy the camera from the lord of nowhere in nowhere.
Nowhere:
You don’t need to do this to beat chapter 1, however you can’t beat chapter 2 without it. This place also works as the fast travel system. You get into the area by going through the mirrors with either high perception or a high amount of curse.
Felix and Horace*:
I do not believe they need to be saved for the story. In the basement are two rooms, one is a bathroom with a key in the toitet. That key works in the other room, the storage room, which has both Felix and Horace locked in cages.
Chapter 2
Nightmare’s Blood:
Story boss
Instructor’s Blood:
Story boss
Organ Grease:
Many opportunities to do this, first is in chapter 2.
Chapter 3
Arena Novice:
Far to the west of the house is an old ruin with the merry group. They offer combat challenges and level you up if you succeed.
Blood Tower*:
You just have to talk to the wretch at the top of the church to get the achievement, however you can end the chapter before talking to him and he leaves.
Disciple’s Blood:
Required boss for ending C you get to her through a hole in the west stairway, and she drop an item that allows you to teleport deep in the labyrinth
Royal Aide:
You meet a king, and he sends you on a couple errands, story related
Firearm
After meeting the King he gives you a firearm license, take it to the workshop guy to get a gun.
Honesty*:
Related to the first task from the king He tells you to give a letter to a witch in the basement that will kill her. Simply tell her it’s NOT safe to open and done. You can still get the royal aide achievement without killing her.
False King’s Blood:
Related to the second task from the King
Rider’s Blood:
Story Related he can be technically passed without fighting by a roundabout way through the labyrinth
Kingslayer
Related to the Second task from the king The king will ask you to fetch a witch and teleport her to him. She will then ask you to help her kill him by giving her black wax. I am not sure if this conflicts with Royal Aide, however I recommend doing this on the first playthrough and if needed doing Royal aide in NG+ as you can get back there pretty fast anyway.
The Wronger Room:
Same as The Wrong Room, just done in Chapter 3/4 instead of 1/2
Invader’s Blood*:
To get past the vicar/priest and enter the church, you have to prove yourself. This can be done in two ways. The first is buying the Jesus card in chapter 2. THIS HOWEVER WILL NOT GIVE THE ACHIEVMENT. If you have the card, DO NOT give it to him and you’ll do the second way, which pits you against a few waves of enemies, which gives the achievement.
Chapter 4
Beast’s Blood:
Story Boss
Arena Champion:
The Merry group will give you two missions to do before you can progress in the arena. The first can be done in chapter 3, however the second can only be done in chapter 4, after killing the church boss. There is a switch in a room on the second floor of the church that opens the church basement door. The switch can only be accessed after killing the boss.
Betrayer’s Blood:
Final boss
Stalker’s Blood:
Story Boss
Spider’s Blood:
Related to Ending C, requires killing church story boss
The Labyrinth
Byzantine Labyrinth:
Can be done in Chapter 2 It’s past the red door in the basement. The key is in the attic in Roberts hidden study
Old One’s Blood
Boss related to the labyrinth, hidden in there somewhere.
Ancient Blood
Can be done as early as chapter 2, all enemies in the labyrinth drop the item.
Idol Tainted Blood*:
Can only be fought in Ending C See Night Mother’s Instruments for why it’s missable
Night Mother’s Instruments*:
At the bottom of the labyrinth is a mirror that will teleport you deeper into the Chorea Clinic. The item required drops from the roof boss. At the bottom of the clinic is a woman you tells you to collect all of the night mother’s Instruments and have access to a bunch of idols. Doing what she wants will get Ending C. However, the first relic of the night mother comes from Chapter 2, and it’s in the Gatehouse, where you begin in the prologue, which is why it’s missable. I would need confirmation if this is actually missable cause I already had a couple relics when i went to see her for the first time.
Collection/Odds and Ends
Avarice
Pretty easy, just keep looting. It was common for me to have over 1000 coins
Action Shot
Does not matter what the subjects are. How I did it: I enchanted three armors in chapter 2, and took them to the safe room upstairs with all the people in it. Lined up my armors and two of the npcs and done.
Initiate
Can be done in Chapter 1 just do as many offerings to witch training that the trainers allow. Trainers are The First witch, Beca and Gertrude
Ascendancy:
plenty of places to level up, I completed the game in the 50s
Slaughter:
Not hard, can be done chapter 1, just stock healing items just in case.
Carnage
Can be done chapter 2 onward, little bit harder, but play safe and you’ll be fine.
Fashion
You’ll find enough around, and merchants will have plenty as well
Remembrance:
There is 20 total, fairly easy
Hyperthymesia*:
As there are only 20 in the game, you have to find all of them, the final one is in the final area. Marked as missable because I can’t remember if some of them are exclusive to chapter 1/2
Bestiary*:
KILL EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. Missable because some enemies are only in chapter 1/2.
The game site itself has a good bestiary. Use at risk of spoilers. The game has 6 total enemies that are NG+ exclusive. 1 is a boss and the rest are scattered throughout the game.
NG+
Starry Blood:
The NG+ boss The boss is located in central nowhere. To get there, you enter the hole in the wall in the west basement stairwell. You then have to loot 20 starry flesh and trade it in. Starry flesh comes form the NG+ enemies. After you kill this boss, it opens up a church in the central nowhere area which puts you on the path of Ending D.
Ending D
Most likely, your last achievement. Once you have access to central nowhere, you’ll notice a pathway on the left that you can take. In that area is the book of burdens, which makes every enemy in the game incredibly hard. It also causes the final enemy in the bestiary, The Brothers Burden, to start hunting you. Every time you kill a new enemy with this in your inventory, you get a new bestiary page of the enemy and certain resource. To get the ending you need 400-500 of that resource. To help you, you get a pretty decent monster you can summon that will fight with you and can tank the monsters. You do have to donate 200 of the resource first though. Once you’ve donated enough of the resource, you can talk to the vicar and tell him to start Ending D.
