Read This If You Want To Play Without Guide
I suggest you to play this game in Very Easy Difficulty (Yes, i know, our gamer instinct make us to go for the Normal Difficulty) because it provides the player with some necessary clue to progress. I think this game does a poor job in it’s level design because the clue of some puzzle does not effectively assist the player in a clear and understandable way, requiring players to resort to trial and error to find solutions to its puzzles. That’s why you need a guide or at least a tips to beat this game.
Here’s some general tips that i could provide for those who want to try it without guide
- Keep the janitor busy by keeping doors open and make lights turned on. The janitor tends to turn off lights and close doors during patrols, that will slow them down and give you an extra time to move on.
- Avoid running, especially in Hell Difficulty, but if you being chased, always close the door behind you while running to slow Janitor down. The janitor will easily spot you when you run, make sure you’re far away from him before you run (but that’s not the case in Hell Difficulty or New Building).
- Janitor will despawn everytime a boss is defeated but sometimes they will respawn again after you trigger a cutscene. Use this moment to freely explore your surrounding.
- Always read Note and School Documents. Most of it are useless but some contains a very important clue to solve a puzzle. You could also read Rumors and Ghost Stories to understand the game’s lore, which i think one of the most interesting game backstory i’ve ever read.
- In New Building (Act 3), i do not recommend you to hide in the bathroom because you will be trapped by the janitor who patrols outside the bathroom, it takes quite a while for them to return to the main area. If you want to hide, go to any classroom with the lights off through a door, then walk towards another door (running will get you caught). Wait until the janitor slowly enters the room, then leave the room and close the door behind you. If the janitor is still chasing you, repeat the initial steps, make sure he is not right behind you. I don’t think this trick work well in Hell Difficulty.
- All endings can be obtained without guide but Tuberose because it require you to do a specific thing without any clue at all.
Ending Overview
There are 4 route with 10 possible endings in this game :
1. So-young Route :
- White Chrysanthemum (Truth Ending/ So-young Good Ending) : Maximize So-young’s affinity
- Hyacinth (So-young Bad Ending) : Abandon So-young at the final stage
- Ivy (So-young Neutral Ending) : Minimize So-Young’s Affinity
2. Sung-a Route :
- Tuberose (Sung-a Good Ending) : Maximize Sung-a’s affinity
- Ebony (Sung-a Neutral Ending) : Minimize Sung-a’s affinity
3. Ji-Hyeon Route :
- Dandelion (Ji-hyeon Good Ending) : Maximize Ji-hyeon’s affinity
- Althea (Ji-hyeon Neutral Ending) : Minimize Ji-hyeon’s affinity
4. Ji-min Route:
- Jasmine (Ji-min Good Ending) : Maximize Ji-min’s affinity
- Marguerite (Ji-min Neutral Ending) : Minimize Ji-min’s affinity
5. Any Route:
- Yew (Hee-min Bad Ending) : This ending only require you to die
note :
– “affinity” is not something that actually exist in the game, i use that word as a benchmark for the relationship between Hee-min the main character and other girls in the game, which will determine the ending.
– There is no such thing as “bad”, “neutral”, or “good” ending either, it’s only my personal interpretation.
– Sung-a and Ji-hyeon route are interconnected, the only difference lies in their affinity levels that determined by early dialog choice.
– When enter the New Building, you could change route from one girl to another but the sudden change means you can only reach a neutral or bad ending. Every girl’s good ending (except Ji-min) require you to be good to her from beginning.
– Ji-min route unlocked after you get an ending associated with So-young ( White Chrysanthemum / Hyacinth / Ivy ) in Normal Difficulty.
Step by Step Walkthrough (Hee-min)

- Go to Gym Storage Room.
- Take “Scribbled Note” and observe the four pairs of numbers in that note.

- Use the four digit combination to unlock the safe in another corner of the room.
- Turn to the left or right to select the proper digit then change the direction to input the next digit.
- Take “Chemical Solvent”.

- Go to Student Department Office
- Using your lighter, inspect the board on that room. There is four set of three characters in that board.
- Each set has the same middle character: 不 (meaning: not). In that sense, erase the third character from the first character to get a digit number. There is only 1,2,4, and 8 that randomly arranged.
- For example, if the first character is 曰 and the third character is 口, then the digit number is 一 (1) because 曰 will become 一 if you erase the 口. Pretty simple right? I learn about japan/chinese basic numeral systems from doing this over and over again.
- Go back to Principal’s Office on 1F.
- Use the four digit numbers you get from Student Department Office as a code combination to unlock the room.
- Go to principal’s desk and interact with the left side of it to solve a puzzle. Make it matched with the pattern on the other side of the desk: the rounded part should face left.

- Go to Faculty Lounge to get “Science Lab Key”.
- Go to Science Lab on 3F. If you take So-young route, you have no business in there, but opening the lab will make it easier for you in the next stage. If you take Sung-a/Ji-hyeon route, go to Science Supplies Room to trigger a scene.
- Go to Music Room next door.
- Pay attention to 5 key melody played by the dropping blood in the piano.

- Go inside Art Supplies Room and take the “Earth Token”.
- Go to hallway of 2F and use the token to unlock a door.
- Dialogue Section.
New Building
- After a scene is triggered, go downstairs to History Room and take “Yellow Keycard” on top of the display. You’ll automatically get that card if you take So-young route.
- Go upstairs to Faculty Lounge and take “New Building’s Notice”, you’ll need that for the upcoming puzzle.
- Do not turn on any lights in New Building, use your lighter instead.
- Use “Yellow Keycard” to unlock a door at the end of 2F corridor.
- The janitor could see you from different floor so watch your step while exploring. If he spot you, immediately go to some classroom, turn off the light, close the door, and hide behind a table. He will stop will back to patrol mode if he does not see you.
- Go to Dance Studio on 1F.
- Interact with the stereo to turn in on with a “CD” you got from Music Supplies Room earlier.
- Boss Fight started .
- You will face the Doppelgänger.
- Observe the position of the speakers in the mirror and place the two speakers near you in the correct position.
- Beware of the Doppelgänger’s attack: move quickly, do not stay in one spot and one side of the speaker layout for too long. The mechanic is a little bit clunky so you have to place the speakers in it’s precise spot.
- Do that three times until the dude in front of you going nuts and destroy the mirror.
- You could read the backstory of Doppelgänger in “The Mystery in the Dance Studio” ghost story that you could found near the stairs at the rooftop doors of central hall.

- Take “Library Rules Plaque”.
- Use it to open Library 2 by move it up and down GENTLY.
- Dialogue Section.
- Take “Yin-Yang Token” from podium.
- Before leaving, go back to the Switch Board. Turn the power off, move the fuse to security alarm, don’t turn the alarm on. This is actually a spoiler, but If you wonder why, you could read “The Principal’s Document” from Principal’s Office on 1F of Main Building 2.
- Go to Music Appreciation Room on 1F.
- Boss Fight started .
- You will face The Girl with a Hidden Face (no pun intended).
- She will sing “mu-gung-hwa kkoch-i pieossseub nida” (“Ready or not, here I come” if you play in English).
- While she sing it, quickly come to her to shower rays of light from “Yin-Yang Token”. It will burn her.
- If your attack hits, she will stop singing, tilt her head a couple times and then disappear.
- If you too late, she will going up and give you a jumpscare. Quickly take your “Yin-Yang Token” back and attack her again as usual.
- Whenever your attack hits, go quickly back to the center of the room and then look right and left a couple time until you spot where she appears, then quickly come to her to attack her again. Sometimes, there is a bit of stutter when she appears.
- Each hits makes her sing faster until a moment where she was too fast to be attacked.
- You need to hit her three times to defeat her, but if you miss, she gets one extra live.
- Interact with cassete player on the left corner of the room.
- Take “Drive Belt” from it.
- Turn off the Music Appreciation Room lights.
- Go upstairs to Language Lab on 2F.
- Interact with the tape: put “Backmasked Tape” and “Drive Belt” then press play.
- Wait until the recording ends.
- Dialogue Section.
- Now you have “Blue Keycard”, use that to unlock the rest of the class in order to solve two remaining puzzles.
- Light Puzzle .
- If you want to solve this puzzle on your own. Read “New Building’s Notice” for clue and do not read the next step for this puzzle.
- This one is quite tough because your good friend Janitor will always disturb your progress and force you to repeat the previous step.
- First, make sure that the lights in the other rooms is turned off.
- You need to turn on the light in five classrooms in order: 1,5,8,10,12, and then turn on the switch in the Electrical Room on 1F.
- If the light in some classroom is off, then the lights in the next classroom will go off too.
- Lure the Janitor to 1F or 4F to make sure he doesn’t interfere (optional).
- Go to 2F, turn on the lights in the Classroom 3-1 and Classroom 3-5.
- Go to 3F, turn on the lights in the Classroom 3-8, Classroom 3-10, and Classroom 3-12.
- Go to Electrical Room on 1F and turn on the right switch.
- A scene will trigger. Pick up “New Building Rooftop Key” in front of the stairs on 1F.
- Clock Puzzle .
- There is a clock and a picture of a national monument in the Computer Lab, Art Studio, Earth Science Lab, and Occult Club. The clock determine the time (obviously) and the picture determine the city, you could interact the picture to find out about the city.
- Read “World Time Zones” below Earth Science Lab‘s clock to know about time zone difference:
-Greenwich: GMT +0
-Washington D.C.: GMT -3
-Moscow: GMT +3
-Beijing: GMT +8 - You need to set the clock of each room based on GMT (Greenwich Meridian Time) rules so that the time on the clock matches the time zone of the city. The time itself is determined by the clock on Earth Science Lab because it displays Greenwich on it’s picture.
- For example, if the clock in Earth Science Lab is 06.00, then you should set the clock in the room with Moscow picture to 09.00 because Moscow is 3 hours earlier from Greenwich.
- Another example, if the clock in Earth Science Lab is 06.00, then you should set the clock in the room with Washington D.C. picture to 03.00 because Washington D.C. is 3 hours later from Greenwich.
- Make sure you visit Occult Club last because the cabinet in that room will open after the puzzle is solved.
- Take “L-Rods” and “Spirit-Bell” from the cabinet.
- “L-Rod” will be used for the next boss fight while “Spirit-Bell” is used to let you back to Main Building 2. If you go to Main Building 2 without the “Spirit-Bell”, you will trap in an endless hallway created by Fox Spirit.
- Go back to the stairs near the door to Main Building 2. Go to 4F with that stairs and open the door to Rooftop (Swimming Pool).
- Pool Puzzle .
- There is an invisible maze you have to cross in order to go to the other side.
- If the “L-Rod” pointing straight ahead, it is free to move forward; if it crosses, look for another path by turning 90 degrees to right or left (the paths never go diagonally).
- Avoid the “Mermaid”, she will pull you into the water and deal damage. Even when you’re on the right path, do not let her near you, step back for a moment until she leaves.
- Skip the following step if you want to figure out the puzzle on your own.
- Pool maze path:
– At the beginning, move sideways to the right side of the pool until the “L-Rod” pointing straight.
– Go straight
– Turn Left
– Turn Right
– Turn Left

- Go inside the drained pool and take “Water Token”.
- Use the token to open the door on 2F.
- After a scene is triggered, run to the breakers on 4F.
- Quick Time Event.
- Go to the Auditorium via the door you have opened with “Water Token”.
Auditorium & Labyrinth
- Go to Projection Booth on 2F.
- Interact with something (sorry i don’t what this machine called) to turn the light on.
- Go downstairs to Auditorium Control.
- Interact with the switches.
- Save your progress now because there is no going back after you trigger a scene.
- Proceed to the central hall.
- Auditorium Puzzle
- Beware of fire and the woman that chasing you.
- From now on, there is always QTE in every scene, so don’t let your guard down.
- Go to the Northeast corner of the central hall.
- After QTE, take “Fire Extinguisher Type A”.
- Go to Boy’s Locker Room or Girl’s Locker Room (It’s up to you which way you want to go, but you should go to both)
- In your way to the locker room, there is a scene and QTE.
- After that, interact with the fire near the locker room to put it out. Be careful, do not get to close or you will taking damage.
- Go to the locker room and take “Fire Extinguisher Type B” (in Boy’s) or “”Fire Extinguisher Type C” (in Girl’s).
- After you have three types of fire extinguishers, go to Storage Room in the Northwest.
- Put out the fire that gets in your way.
- Do not proceed to the Storage Room yet because the woman is spawned behind you. Lure her to the opposite side of the hall first.
- Back to the Storage Room and put out the blue flame.
- Take “Valve Handle”.
- Go to Green Room near Girl’s Locker Room.
- Interact with the pipe to activate water sprinkler using “Valve Handle”.
- Take “Fire Token” in the central hall.
- Go to So-young in Stage (if you play in her route)
- Use the “Fire Token” to unlock the door at the left side of 2F.
- Labyrinth
- If you want to solve this maze without a guide, you could skip the next steps and read “Class Materials (2)” from Classroom 3-8 on New Building. It contains the collecting order of the tokens for the Labyrinth.
- Labyrinth paths:
– Take “Fire Token” on the left
– Turn right
– Turn right

– Turn left ( go to the long path)
– When you see a token in front of you, you cant take it yet, go to the left and take “Metal Token”.
– Go back towards the path where you take the “Earth Token” earlier
– Go straight ( there’s many turnin but there’s only one path that lead you to a token, the other is dead end so you won’t get lost)
– Watch for the dark blue light, that color is contrast enough to be recognized
– That color radiating from “Water Token”, take it.
– Go back for the last token, it’s “Fire Token”, take it and the Labyrinth will collapse.
– Run towards the light by yourself (Hyacinth Ending) or carry So-young with you (Ivy & White Chrysanthemum.
Step by Step Walkthrough (Ji-min)
Ji-min is such a cute character, typical imouto anime who said “onee-chan” every 3 seconds. However, her route is very far from cute. It has the worst level design of this game (in my humble opinion), a combination of three unholy mechanics that i deeply hated: tailing mission, enemy that landed instant death, and QTE spam.
Main Building 1
- In order to play as Ji-min, you must get an ending of So-young route (White Chrysanthemum/Ivy/Hyacinth) in Normal Difficulty, she will appear on your second playthrough.
- Take So-young route at the beginning of the playthrough (Check another section of this guide for the correct answer on dialogue part).
- You will have an encounter with Ji-min while she’s drawing a doodle at 2F of Main Building 1.
- After you defeat Bloodthirsty Tree, find all 10 doodles drawn by Ji-min. You could found the details about that on this guide:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1527935864 - After you found all 10 doodles, don’t go to Main Building 2 yet. Go through the stairs near the door to Main Building 2 to have a second encounter with Ji-min.
- Go to the Main Building 2.
Main Building 2
- Do the job as usual until you have access to the Principal’s Office
- After watching a recording to find out where the Janitor hides “Faculty Office 2 Key”, do not get that key because it will lock you into So-young route.
- Interact with the upper right monitor to trigger another scene.
- Hide behind the desk, there’s a chance that the Janitor will go inside the room to find you.
- When he gone, interact with the lower left monitor to trigger another scene. You’ll see a funny scene (at least for me) where Ji-min accidentally started a fire and got caught in the middle of it.
- Go to Biology Supplies Room on 4F to rescue Ji-min.
- Go back to Faculty Office 1 on 1F to get “Faculty Office 2 Key”, it is safe to take now because you’re officially on Ji-min route.
- Go to Night Duty Room next door to take “Blanket”.
- Go to Faculty Office 2 on 2F and take “Science Lab Key” in the Faculty Lounge
- Go to Science Lab on 3F and wet the “Blanket” in the sink.
- Go back to Biology Supplies Room to put out the fire with the wet “Blanket”.
- You now play as Ji-min. You could look down on your body to confirm it…. if you have to.
- You could check her phone to find out what had happened to her.
- You could also read the diary to find out more about the backstory of this game.
- Go to 2F of Main Building 1 where you met “The Woman Who Hanged Herself”.
- Inspect the right side of the door until you found the interact-able spot.
- Go to Music Room on 3F of Main Building 2.
- Go to Counselor’s Office, B on 2F.
- Go to Lost and Found Room on 2F.
- Take “Ji-won Kim’s Book” from the box on the floor.
Book Hunting
- Go to Art Studio on 2F of New Building and look for “Western Art History” book.
- Go to 4F via Rooftop (Swimming Pool) since Ji-min don’t have any keycard.
- Go to Library 1 and look for “Introduction to Psychology” book.
- Go to Library 2 and look for “Occult book”.
- Go to Reading Room and look for “Understanding Pottery” book.
- Each spine of the four books has a drawing of a part of a tiger and a number below it.
- The number is randomly arranged, but the drawing of the tiger is fixed.
- The order of the books is as follow:
- Go to Faculty Office 2 on 2F of Main Building 2.
- Find a desk with the vase on it, then interact with the drawer on the bottom right.
- Take a look at the 4 books, the numbers on the spines from the front to the back of the tiger formed a combination to unlock the desk drawer.
- Go back to the central area.
Tailing Choi Eun-mi
- This is not the hardest part of the game but it’s extremely boring because you have to follow a lunatic lady for 7.5 minutes straight, if you spotted, you’ll restart from the beginning.
- The path that Eun-mi take is pretty near, but she walk extremely slow and sometimes stop to do an evil laughter or look back. She will go upstairs to Music Room and then go back downstairs to New Building.
- Since all Eun-mi do is turn around, the only thing Ji-min should do is hiding until Eun-mi comes back, but that’s not canon so you will get an instant death if you do anything other than following Eun-mi.
- What you have to do is quite simple, make sure she moved until she was out of your range of vision, and then move to follow her step. Do not go near her or she will spot you. Always hid on the spot where you could see her but don’t take a peek because it’s quite risky.
- If you are on the 2F, do not follow her because she will turn around. Hide in the area near save point and wait 3 minutes.
- Come out from your hiding spot and follow her again. If you wait 2.7 or 3 minutes, she now on the stairs.
- In the corridor to New Building, there will be a maze-like area with lots of turn. Stop at the end of the path before reaching the turn and then start counting from 15-30 (depending on how long the next road is) to let her walk far enough. After that, go to the next path and do the same thing again until she despawned. I did this trick because i don’t want to risk getting spotted by taking a peek.
- Go upstairs to 4F via Rooftop (Swimming Pool)
- A scene shows our boy Hee-min defeat the lunatic lady.
- Go downstairs and take “Asthma inhaler” from the lady.
- Watch out for the black people… uhm i mean the dark spirits that wander around Eun-mi.
Labyrinth
- If you wonder where is the Master of the Labyrinth while you playing as Hee-min, here is the answer. I could not memorize the path correctly because of her so i couldn’t provide you the path like i did before. But, don’t worry, the maze is very simple.
- You have to collect 5 different trigrams in particular order just like tokens in Hee-min’s labyrinth. Every trigrams be marked by the color of it’s light:
– Metal Trigram (White)
– Wood Trigram (Green)
– Earth Trigram (Yellow)
– Water Trigram (Blue)
– Fire Token (Red) - At the start of the labyrinth, the Master will go to “Metal Trigram”, or she will immediately chase you if you play in Hell Difficulty.
- Run as fast as you can until she’s out of your sight. After that, do not run because it will increase the risk of getting spotted. She will walk very slow while searching for you so don’t worry about it.
- She will laughing when she spot you and she will scream when she lost you.
- After you take “Metal Trigram”, the Master of the Labyrinth is scripted to go to “Wood Trigram”, don’t take it yet because the area where it is located is a dead end. However, if you fast enough, you could take it and immediately run away before she spot you, but i suggest you to lure her first.
- After you take “Wood Trigram”, go to the outer reaches of the Labyrinth because “Earth Trigram” is located there.
- After you take “Earth Trigram”, go for “Water Trigram” and “Fire Trigram”, both were accessible by outer reaches of the Labyrinth so go through that path to lower the risk of getting spotted.
- There is a giant Eun-mi outside the school, always crouching to go out of her sight and avoid every spirit that get in your way.
- Go downstairs and into Main Building 2.
- Go to Music Room on 3F.
- There will be a spam of QTE so prepare yourself.
- That’s it for Ji-min route. Now do it again to get her another ending 🙂
Endings Guide (So-young route)
