Warhammer 40,000: Darktide: All Melee Weapons Marks & Types

A weapon basic stats is based upon 5 modifiers , those modifiers are scaled from 0%->80%, a max weapon modifier score would be 380 points, with 80% in 4 of the modifiers, and a 60% in a modifier. so a perfect loot weapon does not exist.

First Target is the first heretic to be hit in an attack, while cleave damage is every target after.

Vanguard
Wide angle swipe, either horizantal or 45 degrees sweep, used to deal damage to multiple targets at once, best used against hordes or multiple enemies.

Relentless
Similar to Vanguard, Wide angle swipe, either horizontal or 45 degrees sweep, but focuses on staggering targets rather than damaging targets. those attacks do higher stagger, and aims at crowd control more than crowd removing.

Strike down
Attacks that are based to engage a single target, mostly are top down attacks, that are aimed at the head of the enemy, most attacks in strike down does extra damage, due to its constraint to single target damaging.

Assassin
Attacks on single target, that gets higher damage multiplier when targeting a weakspot, or a critical hit, or even both.

Each weapon have its own combo or chain of attacks in melee, some weapons aims at being more of a single target damaging, while other at horde control and distribution.

Those attack patterns are predefined, player can infuse the light and heavy attack pattern together, as per picture.
First heavy attack is relentless, aimed at hordes, yet following in combo is strike down, if a player want to clear hordes, use of Heavy Attack + Light Attack would allow to reset the combo back to the relentless attack, therefore the player created an infused combo.

Named after the planet itself. These swords is common baseline swords of the game, available to all human sized personal, they lack anything special about them as they are the jack of all trades and traditional, therefore they share a huge pool of blessings, their special attack is parry, which blocks the enemy melee attacks even if an attack is unblockable, as in mauler top down attack or crusher top down attack, while also sends out high stagger to the target and damage.

Although Scab boss attack is unblockable , even if blocked by normal (holding defense or right click) would still bypass your toughness and damage you,parry you immune.

MK I holds most of its combo in horde cleaning, with heavy attacks are both perfect horizontal sweeps, that allows the sword to cleave multiple targets of the horde on their weakspot, therefore doing very high damage to hordes, its push attack is also a sweep, the weapon lacks any anti single target heavy attack or a combo specific for single targets.

Axes are all single handed axe melee weapons, that does high single target damage and does have a great level of armor penetration, they got a level of critical bonus or first target bonus, multiple variant of axes are there, some focuses on mobility, other on attack speed while others on damage and penetration. due to weapon length, axes requires the player to be close to those nurgle lovers.Axes does not have a unified special attack, each variant have its own.

Combat axes are heavier , that do more damage and stagger, while tactical axes are fast, and does higher damage on weakspot or critical hits.

Keep in mind Antax is one of the best axes in game, but it have a weird issue, its heavy attack does much lower damage to maniac than light attacks, so targets as flamers, Dreg Rager (non armored angry boi), spam them with light attacks.

Power Swords are an traditional sword that are attached with it two AA batteries, with special attack button, the sword gets powered up, giving it increased cleave, damage and armor penetration and also stagger, power swords are heavy in weight and when powered on stays for 1-3 attacks (depending on blessing), which requires a user to be vulnerable for a period of time between volley of attacks.

Assault Chainswords tend to be heavier than traditional weaponry due to the added chain, therefore Assault chain swords attack range and attack speed are their main concerns.

Chainaxe sawing is different than other chain weaponry, as it stuns the target completely. Chainaxes suffers from low weapon reach and low attack speed.

Great swords were used to cut through the enemy lines, Tigrus Eviscerator used to cut through the heretics rotten flesh and lines! A great sword with a chain, that does have an amazing anti horde capabilities, while still having a decent anti special. Whats special about the Tigrus is its chaining special ability, it only saw armored targets or specials, therefore even if engine is up and a special within a horde, the tigrus would saw the special target. All of that comes with the Eviscerator is heavy and slow attacks.

Eviscrator have a feature that is good and bad, when revving is activated, it would cleave through horde enemies, until it reaches an elite/special and saw it, which is good that it automatically targets special targets, yet also left side of the elite is 100% safe from your attacks.

Just as other chain weaponry, sawing makes you vulnerable, yet can be stopped by dashing.

The all rounder variant of the Tigrus Heavy Eviscerators, doing both anti wave and anti special moves, while sacrificing some of its anti special damage to be a better horde wiper.

Using a hammer on a warhammer universe? whats better to do! The hammer are decent anti special and anti boss weapon, which can be charged through its special attack, when charged it does a huge amount of damage & stagger to target that is on impact, the charged attack does not cleave through as in “Tigrus” chainsword, making it requires careful aiming. the thunder hammer is heavy , which limits mobility while also is slow while attacking making it not a reliable weapon in anti horde.

Cleavers tend to be short, which its only drawback.

A maul or a club used to bully those heretics. A decent CC weapon that staggers and throws all human sized heretics, the clubs also give a decent amount of mobility as they do provide higher stamina, the clubs special attack although is named “punch” but its a wide attack slaps that do have a combo. clubs do have slower than usual combo openers, and do lack top down “Strike down” attacks in general.

The versatile variant of the series , featuring combos and attacks for both single targets and crowd control at once, as its 2nd heavy attack is a “strikedown” it can easily accessed by combing light + heavy attacks, its combos are not linear, mixing of heavy and light is recommended.

A Maul, used to crowd control, dealing heavy amount of stagger to targets, its special attack button allows it to be charged, when charged it does an AoE on impact, that staggers specials easily, allowing it to also crowd control specials and elites. its drawback is its single target damage and limited mobility.

Shield + Maul loadout, giving the ogryn a very defensive orianted weaponry that focuses on protecting himself and little humies around him from incoming ranged fire and melee fire, the weapon doctrine is based on blocking attacks rather than dodging attacks. Its special attack is planting the shield into the ground, making the player unable to move yet block damage without costing stamina, this weaponry lacks in terms of damage and damage against single targets, while also attack speed.

a Club or Maul used to bash those heretics around, a decent crowd control weaponry, doing wide sweeps attacks that sends the heretics flying around, with nearly all of its combo is based on anti horde/wave rather than single target making the weapon excel in a single situation only. Its special attack increases cleave and increases stagger done per attack, while also damage, allowing to damage single targets with greater efficency.
