Pugnala Provola – find and open the coffin in Mad Forest by destroying all enemies around it. It shows up as a ‘?’ on the Milky Way map.

Bianca Ramba – defeat a total of 3,000 milk elementals in Dairy Plant.

Giovanna – find and open the coffin in Inlaid Library by destroying all enemies around it. It shows up as a ‘?’ on the Milky Way map.

O’Sole Meeo – defeat a total of 3,000 Dragon Shrimps in Gallo Tower.

Profusione D’Amore – find the Chaos Altemanna in Tiny Bridge. Head west until you find it.

Zi’Assunta Belpahese – find and open the coffin in Cappella Magna by destroying all enemies around it. It shows up as a ‘?’ on the Milky Way map.

Exdash – type ‘x-x1viiq’ on the main menu, and a chime will sound.

Toastie – kill either a Stalker or Drowner, then press the down arrow and enter keys when Toastie appears on the bottom right of the screen. You need to be quick as this only lasts half a second (requires you to unlock Exdash first).

Smith – type ‘spam’ in the main menu, then click start and type ‘spam’ in the character select menu. Choose a character and type ‘spam’ in the stage select menu. Start the level and pick your Arcana, then type ‘humbug’ to unlock this character (it may require you to unlock both Exdash and Toastie first).

Concetta – find and open the coffin in Gallo Tower by destroying all enemies around it. It shows up as a ‘?’ on the Milky Way map.

Gallo – unlock the Infinite Corridor weapon evolution.

Divano – unlock the Crimson Shroud weapon evolution.

Sir Ambrojoe – kill 6,000 Stage Killers in Cappella Magna.

Red Death – kill death after time runs out (requires both Crimson Shroud and Infinite Corridor weapon evolutions).

Leda – defeat Leda in Gallo Tower. Head south from the start until Leda appears. The screen will go dark, and the music becomes ominous when you are close to it.

Boon Marrabbio – defeat the shadow in Mad Forest. To make the shadow appear, collect both the Skull and Pummarola items, then keep collecting chickens from braziers until pies begin to appear. Keep eating pies until the shadow spawns. You can increase the chance of spawning a brazier by collecting the Clover.

Minnah Mannarah – defeat the werewolves in Dairy Plant. To make the werewolves appear, pick Arcana VIII – Mad Groove as you start your run and collect the cheese that appears. Note that if a werewolf despawns instead of dying, you won’t unlock the new character.

Peppino – use Celestial Dusting to heal plants at Il Molise for a total of 100,000 health points.

Gains Boros – find the green circle with flowers in the Bone Zone by heading north. Walk past the silver ring and keep walking until you find it. Stand inside this area until you hear the unlock sound.

Gyorunton – survive 15 minutes in Boss Rash with only one weapon enabled (eggs are allowed).

Big Trouser – fully upgrade all 16 passive items in Moongolow.

Cosmo Pavone – start a run in Capella Magna with no eggs. Take the Peachone and Ebony Wings weapons and Arcana I (Gemini). Walk to the Crown and Tiragisu items. You should see a nduja fritta nearby on a balcony. Pick it up, and a gate will open. Grab the bird sitting on the balcony to unlock this character.

Queen Sigma – complete the collection.

? – Look under a previously owned coffin, which will reappear on levels where they originally spawned. This character’s name is randomized.

missingN – after getting the Yellow Sign, go to Green Acres with both Hyper and Hurry options ticked. Head southwest until the screen glitches and kill 128 winged giant eyes. You’ll need some upgrades to kill them quickly, as they can be tough.

Avatar Infernas – after getting the Greatest Jubilee weapon, go to the Inverted Inlaid Library and make sure to get Ebony Wings and Peachone weapons and do not evolve them. Head to the right and avoid triggering the ghosts when passing the items by sticking to the top of the screen. Eventually, you’ll find a purple trickster playing on the piano, which you need to kill while avoiding the explosives they summon. Once defeated, approach the piano and play the keys, as shown by the birds. The screen will then change, and you need to walk into every coffin around you. The last one will open to reveal a boss, which you can beat to unlock Avatar Infernas.

Scorej-Oni – when playing the level Tiny Bridge, head all the way to the right, and eventually, you’ll find a boss. Defeat him to unlock Scorej-Oni.

She-Moon Eeta – survive 20 minute on Whiteout.

Her Royal Shadow – go through 46 doors in the Astral Stairs. This doesn’t have to be all in the same run.
