Touhou Mystia’s Izakaya: Save File Editing Guide

To get started, grab any text editing software like Notepad, VS Code, or others.

Step1: Locate the save file

First off,  go into your game files.

Right-click on the game in Steam, go to “Manage,” and click on “Browse local files.”

Find the “SaveData” folder where all your saves are stored.

Here you can see all of your saves. “Mystia#0.memory” being the first ever save you made.

Next, open the save file you want to edit using your chosen text editing software—I’m using VS Code in this example. Once you open it, it should look like this:

When you’re viewing your save file, all that information might seem confusing. Don’t worry—I’ll help simplify things by showing you the most important sections you can edit.

First useful section to edit is your character stats, which includes gold and level.

“fund” represents the amount of gold you have. You can set it to 0 for no gold, or go big with 1000000 for a cool million.”exp” is your character’s experience points. The cap is 80473, so going beyond that is pointless.

“level” is your character’s level. You can set it to 1 to start fresh at level 1 or go all the way to 50 for the max level. Anything beyond 50 won’t give you extra stat boosts, so it’s not really worth it.

The second useful section to tweak is your partner settings.

“enableMultiPartner” determines if you can have more than one partner. Just keep this as “true” for the fun.”maxPartnerCount” is how many partners you can have with you at once. It’s super fun to edit if you want more than the original 3-partner limit.

“historyPartnerSelection” is where you can see your current partners and the roles they’re playing.

“Item1” represents the partner you’re using, identified by ID, not name.
“Item2” represents the role they’re fulfilling.

Note: You can even have all your partners be the same character. So, if you want a team of 3 Sakuya’s, you can make that happen here.

Similar to Partners, these work by IDs, not names. The number in the quotes is the ID for the beverage or ingredient, and the number next to it is the amount of it.

The fourth and final section of my guide is the bond section. Here, you can adjust your bond with specific characters, including their likes and dislikes.

“CurrentBondExp” represents the amount of bond experience you have with the specific character.”CurrentBondLevel” is their bond level with you. The cap for them is 5, so setting it above 5 won’t make a difference.

Note: There are also some achievements related to characters and their bonds. I’ll create a guide on how to make achieving those easier using this method if you haven’t maxed them out already.

There of course is more you can edit and mess around with there. But I’ve showed you some of the most useful things to edit or mess with. Feel free to experiment and discover other cool aspects of the game files!
