Get ready to uncover the secrets of innkeeping in your favorite game! This guide will provide you with helpful tips and hints to locate all the hidden shells, books, and artifacts scattered throughout the game. And if you need some extra assistance, we’ve got you covered with their precise locations. Let’s dive in and uncover all the hidden treasures!
General Tips and How Collecting Works
Shells – Are always seen directly on the ground. They are mostly found in the inn’s or the town’s beach. It’s best to check the beaches every few days, as new shells usually appear soon after you make progress at the inn, like gain a star or complete a big task towards gaining a star. Some are found in other locations.
Artifacts – Are always seen on the ground as a mound of grass with surrounding rocks. They don’t disappear with time, but they do disappear if something is built on top of it. Needs a tool to collect. Unlike shells, almost all artifacts appear immediately when you start the game, so the only thing blocking you from getting an artifact is having access to an area its at.
Books – A little harder to find. Can be seen in the environment, like shells and artifacts, but less obviously so. Finding books relies more on interacting with objects where you think a book may be.

Shield – Elevated area behind and to the right of May’s house. You may be able to see it if you walk around the cliff area in town. If you need help on how to reach it, talking to May can give you a hint. If you still need help: There’s a way for you to climb the cliff naturally, just look at the ground around the the bottom of the cliffs. There is a grey/stone circle where you can climb up.
Horse – in the area across the bridge from Agnes’s farm
Scroll – Forest, across the bridge.
Vase – The mountain area to the bottom right.
Chalice – Across the bridge in the area after getting through the locked door in the mines.
Telescope – Ruin area but I think only after you build the playground
