Terraria: Tips for “Supreme Helper Minion!” Achievement

I guess you’re here because you really like to complete all achievements from games. I mean, the “Supreme Helper Minion!” achievement consists of completing 200 missions for Angler. Each specific fish delivered to him is a mission accomplished.
You can use fishing for many useful things in the game, but this activity is not necessary to progress and for this reason many people don’t even get the achievement of catching 25 fish for the Angler.
Follow the instructions in this tip to make your achievement and Angler missions more efficient.

I’ll assume that if you’re looking for complete this achievement, you already defeat all Terraria bosses and have many good items in your chests. Believe me, it’s way too crucial for you to have the follow items to don’t waste your time ↓↓

Of course you’ll need a fishing pole to get fish. Try to get a good one, at least until you finish the 30th mission for Angler, because he will reward you the best fishing pole in the game: the Golden Fishing Rod.

This item teleports you to the farthest ocean. It can be found randomly in Sandstone Chests, Oasis Crates, and Mirage Crates.

This item will advance time to sunrise (4:30 AM) the following day. It can be obtained from Pearlwood, Mythril and Titanium Crates.

Magic Mirror can be found in gold chests in Underground and Caverns. It can be crafted as well, with 10x Glass + 8x Gold/Platinum Bar + 3x Diamond.

Cell Phone is waaaay to difficult to get. It has a big recipe and some items require much effort to get. I hope you have it at this point.

This item provides infinite water for you. It can be awarded by completing missions for the Angler NPC.

You probably have many baits in your inventory, but if you don’t, do not worry about it. The Angler NPC will give a few baits after every completed mission and, depending on your equipment, you won’t need that many.

There are a few accessories which can be very helpful during your journey to get this achievement. You can save baits and get the right fish faster.
Here they are:

Prevents fishing line from breaking. Awarded by the Angler.

Increases fishing power by 10%. Awarded by the Angler.

Decreases chance of bait consumption. Awarded by the Angler.

Increases fishing power by 10%. Awarded by the Angler.

That one accessory is the junction of High Test Fishing Line + Angler Earring + Tackle Box. All effects put together in one item and, of course, you can get it by crafting in the Tinkerer’s Workshop. →

The method to increase the efficiency of this achievement is as follows:

1. Create a new world with this seed: 1.1.1.807145188
I recommend that you take advantage and create several worlds with this same seed and renamed as cardinal numbers, just for convenience. You will use it a lot.

2. Use the Magic Conch to reach the bottom right of the map.

3. Stay on the beach and wait for the Angler to spawn somewhere. It can be right in the sand or floating in the ocean.

4. When he appears, talk to him and see your mission. Now, some explanations…
The Angler will ask to you to bring him a Dynamite Fish. I know this because depending on the seed, the first fish this NPC asks for will ALWAYS be the same. In the case of this seed, it will always be a dynamite fish, which can be fished on the surface.
Note that there’s a lake right next to the beach, where you’ll fish it and complete youro mission in less than 1 minute, I mean, if Angler doesn’t take too long to appear, if you are using good bait and a good fishing rod.
5. Now it’s time to use the Enchanted Sundial . After you complete your mission, put this item anywhere and use it. This will skip your day and you’ll be able to get another mission from Angler, but it works once per week. That’s why you need to create more worlds.
P.S.: Unfortunately, only the first fish will be the same for each seed and all other successor missions will be random.
You will note that on this map we have easy access to almost all quest-related fishing spots, with the exception of the mushroom field and honey. If the next mission ask for any of these two biomes/lake types, you need to go to the next world. (sorry)
If the next mission ask for another surface fish…. Congratulations!! You completed two missions in less than 3 minutes.

Now, for cavern fishes → There are no cave entrances in the region, so you should dig more or less in this place:

If you have a Cell Phone or any accessory that shows your current layer, stop when you see that cave with a Dungeon Block floor:

Every time I tried this technique, every fish found in the jungle could be caught on the surface.
Again, use the Magic Conch and you’ll get teleported to the left Ocean <<<

Once you get there, head to the right until you find any lake deep or large with enough water to fish, just like that ↓

For this one, you’ll notice that there isn’t any lake in desert biome. Now you have to dig a whole with enough space to be able to fish and use your Bottomless Water Bucket to fill the whole. After that, you can fish.

I know there are more techniques to get this achievement or even to get good items from Angler, but this was the way I found to do more efficient fishing with the items I had.
