Overview
There are some (moral) choices in the game, but they won’t affect the walkthrough in general and won’t block you from receiving achievements, so you do you.
Also, when you talk to someone, exhaust all dialogue options.
First steps
- Go to the Temple District and try to talk to any of the monks.
- Go to the nearby tree with greasy pine cones (across the Hardware Shop) and muffle your joint sounds.
- Return to the temple and talk to Jorge (Robot Monk standing near the Mysterious Temple).
The Trial of Symbol
- Go to the Parking Lot and look at the Parking Lot Entrance.
- Look at the Tire Marks on the road; follow them to the Parked Car.
- Examine the Parked Car and retrieve the Parking Lot Access Key.
- Go back to the Parking Lot, talk to Henry (Robot Monk), and receive Communicator Relay.
- Use Communicator Relay on the Comms Tower; hack it (mini-game).
- Return to the Parking Lot and talk to Henry. Take Henry’s Monk Robe.
The Trial of Spirit
- Go talk to Remy, the shop owner; he’ll give you Modified Holo-Drive.
- Go to the Shrine, use Modified Holo-Drive on the shrine; receive Glowing Holo-Drive.
- Go talk to robo-doc Maya.
- Go to Angus’ Robotics Shop and speak to Angus, the shop owner.
- Return to Maya and talk to her again; she’ll give you the Warehouse Key.
- Go to the Warehouse and try going through the door; it looks like you need an SPD weapon to deal with the Yanta.
- Go to the main SPD building and talk to SPD-34.
- Go downtown and talk to SPD-42 about SPD protocols, but suddenly, he starts to update his system. Follow the next steps:
- Activate debug mode
- Update system protocols
- Deactivate debug mode
- Connect to the lattice
- Eject old protocols
- Update system protocols
- Now you have Outdated SPD Protocols.
- Return to SPD-34, talk to him, and receive a Rust Grenade.
- Return to the Warehouse and use the Rust Grenade on the warehouse’s door.
- Go inside and find Heavy-Duty Data Cable.
- Go back to Maya, talk to her, and she’ll transplant the data.
The Trial of Action
- Go to the Temple District, talk to Salem, ask him what monks like, and learn about human artifacts.
- Go to Tia, the shop owner, and talk about human artifacts. She is ready to trade one for Cascade Era Tech.
- Go to the Red Light District, try to walk through the Sexy Entrance, and learn that you need a Mature Protocols Chip to enter.
- Go to Trillie (Good Looking Robot) and ask her about Red Light District. She’ll help if you help her with Frankie fella. Receive Pleasure Procedure Code.
- Go to Frankie (Worn Out Robot), upload the pleasure experience, talk to him, and exhaust all dialog options (repeat uploading when needed).
- Return to Trillie and talk to her about Frankie’s freezing.
- Return to Frankie, reset his motivation module, then decide how to handle the situation.
- Return to Trillie one last time and receive the Mature Protocol Chip.
- Go to Red Light District and enter.
- Talk to Sparkz (the threatening robot at the end of the alley). He asks you to bring him a piece of nanotech hidden in a downtown locker and gives you the code.
- Go to the Vault, open it (code is 0451, yep), hack it (mini-game), and grab Nanotech.
- Return to Red Light District, talk to Sparkz, and receive the Cascade Era Weapon.
- Return to Tia and trade the Cascade Era Weapon for a Human Artifact.
The Trial of Word
- Jorge, the Temple District‘s monk, mentioned that some autom he met recently knew the correct answer, who looked just like you.
- Go to the alley with Unit-11 and inspect the body. Receive Blast Signature Scan.
- Talk to Olivaw; he says he saw someone shady with Unit-11.
- (optional: Talk to 55-55; he can inspect Blast Signature Scan; also you can talk to Remy about Unit-11.)
- Talk to Raul; he wants food to start talking. You can buy Sushi or Ramen from nearby vendors.
- Return to Raul and give him the food.
- Go to Smitty’s Hardware, talk to Smitty, the shop owner, and borrow her Angle Grinder.
- Go to the alley with Unit-11, and use the Angle Grinder on the body. Receive Unit-11’s leg. You still can’t open the secret compartment, though.
- Go to Angus’ Robotics Shop and talk to Agnus. He’ll help you in exchange for an errand: he wants a broken Levi-9000 drone that he noticed by the warehouse.
- Go to the Warehouse, use the power box and hack it (mini-game). Then, retrieve Levi-9000 drone.
- Return to Agnus, give him the drone, and receive Encrypted Holo-Letter.
- Go to Remy; he’ll decrypt the letter for you. Receive the Decrypted Holo-Letter.
- Return to the Temple District and talk to Jorge.
- He’ll see your new robe (for The Trial of Symbol).
- Ask him to check your spiritual aura for The Trial of Spirit.
- Tell him the answer for The Trial of Word (look it up in the inventory).
- Gift him the Human Artifact for The Trial of Action.
- Go to the temple and talk to the Psyber Monk.
Acquiring the train ticket
- Go to the Train Station, talk to a clerk at the Ticket Counter, and learn that you need permission to travel, aka government clearance.
- Go talk to Remy; he can help you again, this time in return for a favor. Receive Signal Jammer (5).
- Find 5 Arcade Machines in the city. The map is under the spoiler:
- Return to Remy, and he’ll install encrypted language protocols. Receive Translation Key: The Encrypted.
- Go to the City Counter (the alley in the downtown) and talk to Woghon, the Robot Clerk. Receive Redundancy Notice (3).
- Hand out the redundancies. Possible businesses: Angus’ Robotics Shop, Smitty’s Hardware, Marabyo’s Ramen, and Tetsuo’s Sushi.
- Return to Woghon and receive a Travel Pass.
- Return to the Train Station and buy that Train Ticket.
