Settlemoon: NG+ Puzzles

Attention all gamers! If you’re diving into New Game Plus mode for Settlemoon, be warned: major spoilers ahead! In this guide, we’ll be tackling the challenging puzzles you’ll encounter in NG+, so get ready to level up your puzzle-solving skills. Let’s jump in!

This guide is for players who have completed the game at least once and have started a new game. Most of the content below is only available in the second playthrough (New Game +).

Explicit spoilers are hidden but reading ahead will still spoil your experience. Proceed with caution!

All of the items and materials in this guide are referenced by their canon names. If you forget what an item or material is called pick it up and hover over the sky for ten seconds.

Sidequest #1: Pharmacist

This puzzle is unlocked after defeating Count Cerise in NG+. The goal of this puzzle is to find a cure for the bloodleaf infestation afflicting your visitors. You will need to build a potion tank (it has the same icon as the white rose potion tank in the first settlement). You’re told that the potion contains bloodleaf (the pink leaf dropped as boss loot); the other two ingredients are randomized.

When you create a potion, the number of red Xs to the left of the potion indicates how many incorrect ingredients are present. The order of the ingredients does not matter.

Sell ten potions to visitors. Eventually Count Cerise will visit your town with another letter (this may take a while).

Sidequest #2: Tactician

This sidequest introduces a new version of the Eye Stalker whose level is always two levels higher than the level of your town. You will have to defeat this boss six times, once with each class of visitor. This one isn’t really a puzzle, just build training grounds for your visitors, then delete structures to decrease the level of your town and nerf the boss.

The new Eye Stalker will not dissappear from your map after the final defeat, but will eventually show up at your town with a letter.

Sidequest #3: Entertainer

Another not-puzzle. This one is rather time consuming, as you will first need to gather the materials to build all three structures, then wait until you have sold 5,000 tickets, after which a kobold will appear to sell you a letter for 125K.

Sidequest #4: Cryptologist

After defeating the Blind Guardian and reading the pamphlet it gives you, you will unlock a snowglobe-shaped structure. Build it. If you’ve read the pamphlet and it isn’t immediately clear what the bar graph pictures are referencing, click the base of the structure (the part that looks like a rectangular speaker with an element symbol inscribed on it).

Sidequest #5: Archaeologist

After defeating the Diamondback and reading the booklet that it brings you, you will unlock a shovel. This will appear on the world map. Click on the shovel and select the first location indicated in the pamphlet, then click on an empty quest slot.

Digging in the correct spot will give you a scrap of paper. Digging in the wrong spot will give you a few materials.

The pictures in the pamphlet depict Settlemoon as it once was. Many of the areas pictured have changed significantly on the current version of the World Map.

The cost of the quest depends on the location of the dig; use this to verify that you have the right spot!

Solution: Dig near the river loop to the left of the Blind Keeper’s lair.

Hint: You can only see this location properly when holding the shovel.
Solution: This one is located directly beneath Magnum Spark’s lair.

Hint: This area has changed a lot. You’ll have to extrapolate.
Solution: Look in the ruined fortress area between Count Cerise’s castle and Magnum Spark’s lair. Find the correct spot by referencing the pieces of the broken machine.

Piece #8

Solution: Find the large mountain to the right of Magnum Spark’s lair. There’s a little butte sticking out of the right side of the mountain. Use this as a reference to find the correct spot.

Hint: This looks like a tree but there are no trees that small…
Hint: …anymore.
Solution: Find the landmass where the regular Eye Stalker lives and dig under the tree.

Solution: Look along the bottom right side of the landmass where the regular Eye Stalker lives

Solution: There’s an area to the left of the Diamondback’s lair where the light blue touches the main landmass. Find the area where the landmass is highest and dig slightly above and to the left of this point.

Piece #12

Hint: Ignore the colors and background completely. Focus on the outline.
Hint: Remember what you’re looking for and what replaced it and focus your search there.
Solution: Find the highest peak on the map to the right of Magnum Spark’s lair, and dig at the indicated spot.

After you dig up all twelve scraps the Diamondback will appear and give you a letter.

Sidequest #6: Dreamer

Build the arched tree structure that has just been unlocked. The symbols displayed in build mode provide a clear indication of its purpose and a slightly-less-clear hint on how to achieve this purpose. The structure won’t do anything until you activate it…

…by sacrificing three moons from the Sky menu. They must be of different types.

After this all you’ll have to do is wait for a bit until your letter is delivered.

Sidequest #7: Lamplighter

You’ll need to progress to a certain point in the main quest line before you can complete this one. You’ll know when it’s time.

Philanthropist

Finish a game having earned every other achievement.
