Welcome to “Roarr! Jurassic Edition: Achievements and Overall Guide”. In this article, we will discuss the achievements in the game and provide a comprehensive guide to help you reach the end successfully. Don’t give up on completing all the achievements just because the game has bugs. Let’s jump in and conquer the game together.
Keyboard Keys and Known Bugs
Roarr! Jurassic Edition makes it very clear that the developers primary intention was for console and even though there are Input Options in the menu, you would be wasting your time trying to mess around with them. Some actions are rather pointless in the game due to so many bugs, inefficient trade offs, or large hit boxes. Though, that is all up to you. Here are they keys I focused on without messing with the input configuration.
PRIMARY:
Space Bar = A Button, Jump
Left Click = X Button, Attack 1
Right Click = Attack 2
Escape = B Button
Enter = Ultimate
Movement = ASDW
OPTIONAL:
Shift = Run/Dash (Uses Ultimate Power and Don’t Recommend)
Control = Dodge (Does not show on Input Menu)
Item Use = S*
Note: You’ll want to change the binding for Item Use to another key as “S” is also a Movement Key or change your Movement Keys to the arrow keys.
During gameplay, I rarely used my shift key for running (or dashing) as it used up the Ultimate Bar. In my opinion, it was not a very good trade off especially in Boss Battles. It would quickly leave you in a vulnerable position. You can get to an area quicker and if you run through a group of trees or some sort of cluttered area, it would just refill – meaning, it didn’t really matter to use up that Ultimate Meter to rush over from Point A to Point B. Use it wisely if you feel the need for speed. Control key was never used as it took me awhile to even realize it existed since it was not listed in the input menu. The hit boxes most specifically on the bosses are so large, I’m not convinced it would have helped but let me know if it does. Item Use was bugged for me where items would not always work and aiming was kind of a hassle. Experiment if you would like but there are no achievements related to item usage.
These are bugs that I have found during gameplay. If you know of any others, I can add them to this list. All of these are rather minor and does not affect the overall gameplay too much except for the last one.
- Starting at around Level 4 or 5 – Sue will start auto-dashing seemingly at random, using up your Ultimate Meter. Messing with the Shift Key seemed to help with that or jumping.
- Enemies fail to appear but you will hear them. They will despawn once you run off and wait a moment, allowing you into the next area.
- Minor Enemies disappear before officially destroying them.
- Weapons don’t always work.
- Structures don’t boost Ultimate correctly or appear to be unable to be destroyed despite being in the same group/area. This could be intentionally but seems unlikely.
- During the first boss, some believe there is a bug that will completely end the game while others believe the boss can one-shot you. As an opinion, I feel this is a bug since none of the other bosses one-shot you and it only happens if you are directly under/inside the boss despite having a fair sized health pool. Be wary and I will teach you how to get past it.

Level 3 Boss
“Desert Conqueror”
Level 4 Boss
“Arctic Obliterator”

Final Boss – This achievement comes with the course of the game but does not come easily. Which, while I’ll be honest and say I am not a fan of the game, it does deserve some credit in this department. The final level was more nicely designed compared to the rest of the game and it was a lot harder making it a good challenge for those who seek it. You will have to defeat all the previous bosses again in this level. It is not noted if the bug from the first boss is present here, but I was not about to find out to lose all the progress and played it safe.
Full Game Walkthrough
The level that would make your quite before you even finished. With Combine’s bug or one-shot skill depending on what your thoughts are, it can be quick to get frustrating when you have to start all the way from the beginning. Starting out, there are no short cuts to make the level go faster and there are no real, big tips for the general playthrough.
Use your attack keys to destroy enemies. Run over structures to fill up your Ultimate Meter and blast hordes of enemies away. Tree or house clusters fill up the meter the fastest. That being said, as you are getting closer to the boss, you should always keep an Ultimate ready to blast the boss and any surrounding enemies. When you defeat sections of a level, a red arrow will show you where to go next.
Combine has long range and short range attacks (like most if not all of the other bosses do). They will reach out to “stab” you with their lawn blades or swipe at you. Combine can also bounce around. You do not have to defeat all of the minions to complete the level as defeating the boss will cause them to disappear. Defeat Pink/Red colored minions for them to drop health. Meat-O and Roller are the two health drops on this level.
The easiest way to defeating the bosses are using your ultimate on them 4x. Refrain from getting caught up under/inside Combine as this is when you will experience the bug causing Sue to lose. Play it safe and run around Combine with occasional hits or run off into the trees to increase your meter. There are enough structures to let you use your ultimate enough times given you don’t miss.
Level Two was a much nicer experience, in my opinion, despite the level being relatively no different than the last. Meat-O and Roller are still your two health drops (Red/Pink Minions). Similar to the previous boss, you’ll want to have an Ultimate ready and use it 4x on them. You don’t have to be afraid getting up close to S.S. Landshark. This boss chomps, swipes, lunges and shoots balls of electricity (which are easy to avoid). Structures are not as clustered together, so you’ll have to go out of your way to fill up your meter. The boss does not regain health if you have to leave the area which you shouldn’t unless the minions destroyed a lot of the structures. Unfortunately, the size of the structure does not seem to matter how fast a meter fills.
One thing that stood out throughout the game was the artwork during dialog. Simple and neat artwork really gave this game something to shine on despite not being very neat in other area. In Level 3, you’ll be facing Tremor who swipes, stomps and jumps. He’s also able to make tendrils rise from the ground. Tremor seems to have a ridiculous hit box and unless you run off, you won’t be dodging those attacks. You’ll see new enemies on this level, but again, Meat-O and Roller are still your health drops.
There is nothing specific on this level that should be of concern. Watch out for glowing circles on the ground which indicate when drills from minions will appear. This level has less clusters of structures and you will start to notice in other levels that they become more inconvenient to gather. Tremor can be defeated with using a majority of basic attacks as long as you keep your health up. A good rule of thumb is to leave meat for when you really need it. As a note, this is where I started experience Sue dashing on her own and it still used up the ultimate meter. It was fixed by jumping and/or hitting L-Shift.
You are getting closer to the end! Are you tired of this game yet or are you enjoying it? In Level Four, you will start seeing new enemies as old ones disappear. Meat-O, Roller and Bast will drop meat for health. Be careful with Bast as they can heal themselves and their allies around them which can be nuisance when facing Sphinx.
Sphinx reaches out with a jab from the head, slams to the ground and releases an electrical field. Using your ultimate, you can knock them back and disorient them for a short time. Minions will likely destroy structures before you can making it harder to fill your meter. Ideally, you’ll want to eliminate all the minions in this case before going after the boss as Bast will be healing the boss and there are a number of them. For this boss fight, you can continuously use your basic attacks as there may not be enough structures in the vicinity for four uses of your ultimate.
Just push a little more. This level had some experiences with bugs more than others with enemies disappearing or structures not properly interacting as they should. However, this doesn’t mean it’s not playable as these bugs are minor. If you find yourself in a position where enemies are not showing up, you hear them and can’t proceed – move away from the area and the next section of the level should open up. You’ll know when a red arrow pops up.
Meat-O, Roller, Bast and Nefree are meat drops.
Due to the camera angle and how large Rigger is, it is difficult to see how he’s attacking. It looks like he’s whacking his crane downwards and swings it around. It’ll likely look like you are taking damage for no reason but that is not the case. Aside from that, there is nothing special going on here. Hit him with your ultimates and destroy him.
Now, before getting into this, I’d like to point out that the developers deserve some credit here. This level was challenging and visually more pleasing (in my opinion). It grabbed my attention again. In this level, you will be facing all the bosses from before (one at a time) and GOO F.O.
Use the guide as reference from the beginning when facing previous bosses if you need to. HOWEVER, (very important), you will not have enough structures to continuously use your ultimate, so use your opportunities wisely. It is also very important to reserve your meat and be wary of Combine’s bug. If you think you are about to die, don’t be afraid to reset the level. Minions reflect per the boss in that section. For an example, you will not see Bast until you face Sphinx.
Once you reach GOO F.O., you’ll want to use your ultimate as often as you can under him or jump to attack him in the air. You may be able to attack him without jumping if he gets close enough to the ground. The minions in this area will destroy structures, so get to them before they do or lead them away from the structures. GOO F.O. has a jab, stomp and uses an electrical field.
You’ll have all of the achievements once you beat GOO F.O and watch him drift away like a little coward. Hope this guide helps. I know there was a lot of mixed reviews and comments about being hard to get all the achievements – It is possible.
