“Welcome to our ultimate guide for conquering Rack and Slay with a perfect score! With this straightforward roadmap, you’ll be able to unlock all 40 achievements in no time. Get ready to dominate the game like a pro!”
Introduction
Rack and Slay is a new roguelike billiards game, with basic mechanics and a ton of replayability. The goal of this guide is to layout the quickest method to fully finish the game’s achievements. The vast majority of these achievements will come naturally through playing, maybe requiring a little bit of cleanup afterwards. I’ve listed a simple roadmap below that will outline what order to play the game’s modes in, order to maximize your efficiency in getting that 100% completion. Note that the guide is sorted by average achievement completion rate at the time of writing.
Total Number of Achievements: 40
Online Achievements: 0
Offline Achievements: 40
Broken Achievements: 0
DLC Required: N/A
Time: 4-8 hours
Roadmap:
- Complete all 10 challenges on any difficulty
- Complete 5 Delve Mode runs
- Complete 5 Crawl Mode runs
- Complete 1 Daily run
- Complete 1 Wild run
- Miscellaneous Cleanup
As outlined above, the most efficient method to completing the achievements would be to start with the 10 different challenge runs. You will knock out the vast majority of the achievements during this, and even more so during the extra Delve and Crawl runs. By the end of the Challenges, Delve, Crawl, Daily, and Wild runs, you’ll likely just need to kill a few more specific boss enemies which can easily be farmed by restarting Raid runs until you spawn the boss you’re looking for. Happy hunting!
Gimme, gimme!
Collect a coin by defeating an enemy carrying it –
This will probably be the first achievement you get, it will come naturally, and opportunities are often. All you need to do is defeat an enemy that is carrying a coin. An easy way to do this is to hit an enemy into a coin, and then hit them into a hole.
Normy Slayer
Defeat 30 Normy enemies –
Just like the achievement says, kill 30 Normy enemies. This will likely be one of your first achievements, it comes naturally as you play early on. A Normy enemy looks just like a normal enemy, and is pictured in the achievement photo. Several Normy enemies will spawn in basically every round you play.
Big Game Hunter
Defeat 15 non-Normy enemies –
Comes naturally as you play, this will be granted after defeat any 15 enemies that aren’t Normy enemies. Like most of these early ones, you’ll likely get this without even trying.
Looter
Gain 100 Gold –
Another one that will certainly come early on and without really trying. Unlocks after you get your 100th coin. This doesn’t mean 100 gold at once, just 100 over the course of the run.
Stronk
Have +20% shot power –
You can get shot power from multiple places:
- You can obtain items from the shop or other sources that grant shot power.
- You can purchase a 5% shot power increase directly from the shop (at the bottom, indicated by a blue lightning bolt).
- You can pick up power ups on the ground during the round, that grant you 3% shot power. They’re also indicated by a blue lightning bolt.
Collector
Pick up 25 collectibles –
Collectibles are the key icons you see in some rounds (as shown in the achievement photo). Just pick up 25 of them and this achievement will pop.
Lootboxes suck?!
Buy a random item from the shop –
To buy a random item from the shop, just click on the right-most button on the bottom of your shop window, highlighted below.
Telefrag
Defeat an enemy by having it end its turn on a teleporter –
This one sounds harder than it is, all you have to do is have an enemy land on top of a teleporter and finish its turn there. As long as it lands exactly on top of a teleporter once it’s done rolling, it will be killed when the next turn begins, and the achievement will pop.
For anyone going for the 100% completion, I would recommend saving this towards the end of your playthrough, as there’s a good chance you’ll get it naturally while doing the challenge runs.
Demolisher
Destroy an obstacle –
Obstacles can be destroyed using a range of different items. All you need is any item that allows you to destroy an obstacle. You can find items like this in the shop, there a few examples below.
Extra Balls
Have at least 12 shots –
To gain more shots, you can either buy items from the shop that grant you extra shots, or you can directly purchase shots at the bottom of your shop window, by pressing the icon that looks like a cue ball (pictured below).
Healthy
Have at least 10 max health –
To gain max health, you have to buy items from the shop that grant max health. There are a few examples below.
Cleaned Out
Defeat all enemies and pick up all collectibles in a level –
For this one, just make sure you pickup all the pickups in a level before you shoot your last enemy ball in. If you’re having trouble, try using your gold to buy more shots.
Hoarder
Have 20 items –
For this one, you just need to have 20 items on you at once. This is easiest to do in a longer game mode like Crawl. You’ll be looking for items in the shop that grant you additional items, refer to the images below for a few examples. If you’re having trouble with this, try doing the Picky Klutz challenge, as you get many more items due to the challenge’s modifiers.
It’s a trap!
Defeat a Trapper boss enemy –
For all of the boss related achievements, you can easily hunt down whichever ones you don’t have using this method:

- Change the difficulty to whatever you like (higher difficulties will give you more chances for bosses to spawn)
- Change the run type to Raid (1 level)
- Select Start Run
Then, just look around the level to see if your desired boss spawned. If it did, then finish out the level, killing the boss last, and boom, new achievement. If not, then press Escape or click the gear icon in the top right of your screen, and then select Restart. Rinse and repeat until you get your boss to spawn.

Nice catch!
Defeat an enemy by shooting a volatile spike into it –
For this one, you’ll need to trigger a volatile spike and have it kill an enemy. Volatile spikes are the spikes that are glowing green (pictured below), and when you hit a ball into them, they will launch a spike straight in the direction they’re facing. You just need to line up a ball so that it gets hit by a volatile spike projectile once it’s been triggered.

A very easy one. From the main menu, select Settings. Then, select Advanced Options. The achievement should pop, but if it doesn’t, then click on the bottom right icon to open the link to the dev’s previous game, highlighted below.
Now you see me…

- Change the run type to Raid (1 level)

Survivalist
Survive 50 levels –
This one will come naturally, you just have to complete a total of 50 levels. If you’re following the roadmap, you’ll get this one after your 5th challenge run.
Crawler
Win 5 Crawl mode runs –
Simply win 5 Crawl mode runs. A crawl mode run includes 10 levels, and is the default game mode. All challenges are considered Crawl runs, so if you’re following the roadmap, you’ll get this one after your 5th challenge run.
Daily Dosage
Win a daily run –
Simply win one daily run. Daily Runs are random daily seeded runs, that change every 24 hours. To start a daily run from the main menu, select New Run, then select Daily Run on the bottom right.
Boom
Beat the Explosives Expert challenge –
Description: Bigger Explosions that don’t affect you, but instantly defeat enemies and destroy obstacles. Extra bombs. 3-4 extra enemies per level.
Tips: Utilize the extra bombs around the level. I found that often there would be multiple enemies in the vicinity of a bomb, and hitting the bomb will take out all enemies in its radius. Buying extra shots in the shop will help for those extra enemies, too.
Wild Adventure
Win a wild run –
Simply win one Wild Run. Wild Runs are normal runs that include a few random modifiers each run. To start a Wild Run from the main menu, select New Run, select any difficulty you like, then click Wild Run in the bottom left.
Who?!
Open the credits –
Another easy one, just go to the Settings from the main menu. Then, select Credits (highlighted below).
I made it for real?
Beat the Picky Klutz challenge –
Description: Gain +1 item pick per level, but lose 5 gold and a random item at the end of each level.
Tips: This is one of the quicker challenges, as the extra items really make this easy to get through. If you’re having trouble, invest in items that grant you extra max health or extra coins.
Shopping Spree
Beat the Big Spender challenge –
Description: Gain 15 gold at the start of each level, but lose all gold when leaving the shop.
Tips: Another easy one, just make sure you’re using all of your gold by the time you leave each shop.
Family Matter
Beat the Gang Leader challenge –
Description: Start with many items that create mini balls and gain gold for creating them, but you can’t gain gold any other way.
Tips: For this build, you’ll want to grab any items in the shop that grant you more mini balls. Since you can’t gain any other gold, your only source of income is the number of mini balls you’re spawning each round.
Let’s go wheee!
Beat the Bouncyland challenge –
Description: All obstacles are bouncy. The outer walls of the level are more bouncy.
Tips: I honestly played this one as I normally would have, just keep in mind that you will bounce off of walls a lot more. You can actually use this to your advantage in some spots where you’re looking to play a bank shot.
I got you in my sights!
Beat the Veteran Hunter challenge –
Description: All enemies are special (no Normies), but you gain 2 gold for defeating a special enemy.
Tips: Grabbing extra max health is helpful here, and generally any healing items. At the start of your rounds you’ll want to focus on the enemies that launch themselves at you at the end of each turn, or launch projectiles at you each turn, as these are the easiest way to be hurt by special enemies.
Don’t call it a comeback!
Beat the Second Wind challenge –
Description: Start with only 4 shots, but gain +1 shot for every enemy you defeat. Note: In the last level you will not gain more shots once you reach 0.
Tips: You’re definitely going to want to invest your gold into extra shots here, and most importantly, just make sure you’re staying as accurate in your shots as you can.
Intoxicated
Beat the Dunken Master challenge –
Description: Start with +3 shots and +3 health, but there’s a 25% chance for your shot to go backwards.
Tips: This one can be kinda annoying, but if you make sure to stock up on extra shots, you should be okay. And of course, extra max health is always going to make things easier to finish.
Ouch
Beat the Spiky Gauntlet challenge –
Description: Every level is filled with volatile spikes. You take 1 more damage from touching spikes.
Tips: This is probably the most tedious challenge you’ll play, as you have to be really careful not to overshoot and hit any of the many spikes in this run. Spike Swallower, Vampire Survivor, Bottled Souls, and Bounty are all great items for this run, with Spike Swallower and Vampire Survivor being almost essential.
Swoosh
Beat the Berserk challenge –
Description: Start with +220% shot power, but lose 30% shot power at the end of each level.
Tips: The challenging part of this one is the final 2 levels, where your shot power will be negative if you haven’t gotten any extra shot power so far. I’d recommend using some of your gold on extra shot power throughout the run, and again, grabbing some items that help with your max health.
Delver
Win 5 Delve mode runs –
Simply win 5 Delve mode runs. Delve mode runs are shorter runs that grant you extra items per level. To start a Delve mode run from the main menu, select New Run, select whatever difficulty you like, and change the run type to Delve (5 levels).
