Introduction: House of the Bell Keeper
Blueprints?
After the intro we need to fight the usual reflex to go right, to instead go left and jump up ladders, crates and more ladders to reach very top of the airship and collect our first Bird (no counter for them for now)
Jump down and follow the plot for a bit, but once again immediately break left after entering(exiting?) first door – make note of how fake walls look around here and collect the first Bell
Learn to jump and fall, go left and collect the first Token
After a bit more jumping notice a Red Gem left of the ladder and go past it for another Bell (and a shortcut?)
Going the right (ha) way we go past An Archway (?) and reach the house
Read the letter, look at pots, re-check the clue in the diary and rearrange them accordingly
In the house go left interact with the picture and immediately (need to stop typing that word) open diary to look at it closer (it gets covered a bit later)
Grab your magic wand and get new mission but instead of doing it let’s snoop around the house some more
In short order we ecounter a locked door, bedroom with some Blueprints inside and a hallway thats way too long for only having single Bell
Going with the plot requires opening a gate, but that puzzle only needs you to tilt your head to the right and do magic in the order you see
Chapter 1: Bamboo Forest
Nothing on the left, so go right and fall down for the Bell, also notice clearly marked rock formation, specifically build of SIX rocks
Continuing on we see more rocks TWO and FIVE and another Archway (?)
Go on, look at FOUR marked rocks, enter cave and fall for a bit to find the bridge and a Token on its left end
Nothing interesting left of the bridge, so grab an ominous floating letter and continue right to see another Bell past the ladder
Note an empty cave and grab a Token while doing platforming for it (don’t go too deep into token cave – cameraman is a bit jumpy around here)
After the loop go up and to the right, past THREE marked rocks, to find some sort of stone pathway, ONE marked rock, Red Gem and a locked gate
Going back and trough the pathway we head left and find: un-enterable house with a Token on it’s roof and a large white tree with a Bird and an Achievement on top (that’s another platforming segment, thoose stringlights are pretty sturdy)
Going right we find an underground Bell, our first NPC – Hans, and a short lesson on color theory
And an ultramarine Token, of course
Going right some more we see a tent with a sleeping dragon and some sort of Chest we can’t open, and then another one in the “Danger” cave
Jumping a couple times from Red Gem ledge reveals another Bell underground (still no “Danger” tho)
And /Now/ we can go and jump from that red bridge, but not too far – there’s a Bell to the side
Going deeper we find couple Beginner Bell Puzzles:
1 – simple neighbors style on-off puzzle pull ropes 3 4 5 and we’re done
2 – do magic and then recreate the spell using the bells (why do they change tones in the 7162543 pattern? no idea – just don’t think about it)
Go right to circle back to the bridge (grabbing a Token on the way) and head to the first platforming section
Going to the cave gives us our first general use spell – Reveal (note it appearing on the top part of the diary and prepare to cast it on everything you deem suspicious) and a collect-a-ton for gems around the forest
It’s not hard, just tedious, so see you at the First Bell
Once you collect the gems and try to slot them in the base of the First Bell you find out that order matters too
Surprizingly, even as we all (you, me, gamedev and Clef) now know that this is a puzzle clue, checking marked stones again doesn’t add them to the diary.
So I’ll just rip a page from couple minutes in the future
Ring the First Bell, grab the key and go to the gate to the right to get to the next chapter
