PUMPKIN PANIC: Nightmare Rush achievement guide – how to beat Nightmare mode in 35 minutes or less!

Keep buying this after each harvest until you have fifteen seeds, where you buy the bucket upgrade. From here, keep selling until you can afford to plant TEN red seeds (57 gold), at which point you’re going to focus on these only. Upgrade your bucket as needed, but otherwise keep buying the crop value upgrade until you have a full (or very nearly full) field of red seeds. After this harvest, you should be able to afford jumping to the orange seeds, and then the purple seeds.
Once you have harvested a full lot of purple seeds AND you have the sunflower quest, you can start harvesting those and repairing the boat. You should have enough money by now to complete the boat (and max out most upgrades).

TL;DR – Harvest raspberries until you can afford ten red seeds (57 gold). Harvest a full field of red seeds and move to orange, then purple. Skip sunflowers until the end, buy crop value upgrades whenever you can

The first crawler shows up after about a minute and a half, usually after you’ve harvested your second patch of raspberries.
Once a crawler spawns, you’re going to bait it to your house by standing outside your door. Once it’s on screen, retreat into your house and wait for it to run off screen. Repeat this until it stops coming back.
Once it stops coming back (even if you still hear it), set a TWO MINUTE TIMER. You’re gonna want to be at your door when the timer goes off again, else it can and will eat you. After running the stop watch a few times, I noticed it usually comes after 2:10 or 2:20, but you need to be at the house by 2 minutes for the rare occasion it comes early.

TL;DR – Once the crawler runs off, start a two minute timer. Be at your door when the timer goes off.

When looking for the clowns you should hopefully find your first couple of pink coins (buttons?). Being as fast as possible means doing tasks as quick as you can, so collecting loot while looking for clowns is a great time saver. You need four buttons total, or one for each quest. To activate a quest, bring a button to the scarecrow and interact with it. A quest ends automatically once you have completed the criteria listed in the top left corner.

– Collect five lost souls: Just grab them when you see them. If they’re close to a wall don’t bother, they’ll easily escape.
– Collect four fish of a specific colour: Whenever you have spare time (e.g. waiting for pineapples to grow), go check on the fishing rod.
– Collect fifteen sticks: I strongly recommend not collecting any sticks besides the six needed for the fishing rod until this quest is active. Any stick you collect beforehand doesn’t count towards the total.
– Harvest fifty sunflowers: After you’ve got the money from the purple crops, buy 25 sunflower seeds, harvest them, buy 25 more and harvest again. That’s it. Do this while also repairing the boat.

• If one or both of the deer has trapped you inside your house, don’t worry. Walk outside, aggro it, walk inside. It’ll run away and revert to it’s normal form after ~10 seconds. It’s important you do not stay inside your house for too long.
• DO NOT RELY ON THE BAT PET. It is very helpful, but its effect of highlighting the deer isn’t always active! Sometimes you’ll just run into one in the dark because the bat didn’t squeek!
• SPRINT SAFELY. Ask yourself this question: do you see both deer on screen? If the answer is no, DO NOT SPRINT UNLESS IT’S AN EMERGENCY.
• Have your volume on high, this game has a few sound ques that are hard to miss.
• Repairing the boat one quarter takes ten seconds each time.
• DO NOT BUY LANTERN OIL. Catching lost souls fills it up about half way.
• You can water and plant crops at the same time by holding both keys down (F and SPACE by default).

TL;DR: The most important tip here is to only sprint when you can SEE the deer. Sprinting carelessly ends runs.
