This guide will show you how to obtain all the achievements in the base game of PowerWash Simulator. Follow these instructions to unlock all the achievements and show off your power washing skills.
Preface
1. If you don’t like it,
don’t rate it. Instead, leave a suggestion in the comments to help improve the guide.
2. This guide does not have any videos, if you are looking for video guides, there are plenty of other amazing walkthroughs you can look at.
3. This guide will contain spoilers for the main story, but you probably already knew that.
4. I’m just trying to be helpful – if I upset you in any way shape or form, then feel free to express it, but if you’re vague or don’t say anything, then that’s your problem. :3
Now that that’s out of the way, on to the guide.
As It Was Foretold…
To get this one, you need to complete career mode and along with it the main story.
Nozzle Based Achievements:
Powerful Pressure Purist
This will be the first badge you are able to get and is immediately available to you once you start career mode. This achievement is earned in the first level by using only the red nozzle (0 degree nozzle) to clean the van. This means you CAN’T use any other nozzles to clean the van or you won’t get the achievement. You
can, however, switch nozzles, as long as you don’t spray the van.
I would like to add that you are also able to get achievements in free play mode after you complete the level in which you get that achievement.
Delicate Excavation
To start off, while I’m sitting here, eating my Bagel Bites, I’m thinking to myself, “Oh buddy, THIS is going to be bad.” (mainly because I was confused and thought the achievement was on the statue level… and I ended up doing the statue level with just the 40 degree nozzle. Haha, now i’m dead inside.) But it’s really not. It’s more just slightly tedious than anything. There’s two ways you can do this:
1. Spam the pressure washer (This could destroy the lifespan of your mouse)
2. Move the water slowly over the dirt.
I would also recommend getting the Good Dings To Come achievement at the same time, but if not:
Good Dings To Come
Two words: Penny đ Farthing đ. This level is short and if you make a mistake, you only have to backtrack about a minute or less. Use only the zero degree nozzle and DON”T COMPLETE ANY TASKS. You shouldn’t hear any dings or see anything turn blue, and you shouldn’t earn any money before you get the achievement. If you do, restart the level by opening up the tablet and going back to vehicles/locations and clicking on the level you’re playing, then clicking restart level. This one should be a cakewalk. And just so no one complains, this is kind of nozzle based since the penny farthing should only be cleaned with the zero degree nozzle in this case.
Starting out
Explanation time: stars are earned by completing levels and will in turn unlock new upgrades and power washers.
For this one, you just need to progress through the story and complete enough levels to earn five stars.
Raking It In
This one is unlocked by completing enough levels in career mode to achieve 50 stars.
Big Business
This one is unlocked by completing enough levels in career mode to achieve 100 stars.
Super Star
This one is unlocked by completing enough levels in career mode to achieve 150 stars. You should unlock this one at or near the end of the game.
Fully Equipped
To get this one, you’ll need to earn enough money and progress through the story enough to unlock and buy three of the Prime Vista 1500’s attachments.
Soap Connoisseur
Lets start out simple. To get soap connoisseur, you have to own at least one of every type of cleaning liquid, or soap, at the same time. To do this, press escape on your keyboard to open up the tablet, and go to the shop. each cleaning liquid costs $10, so you’ll have to have at least $60 to get the achievement, which should be no problem.
Urban Xpert
To get this one, you need to progress through the story and earn enough money to purchase the UrbanX U2 and four of it’s attachments. You should unlock this one around the skatepark level. but feel free to move at your own pace.
Heavy Hitter
To get this achievement, you have to progress in the story and earn enough money in order to unlock the Prime Vista 3000 and five attachments for it. Simple enough.
Unlimited Powerwash
To earn this one, you’ll need to progress through the story and earn enough money to buy and unlock the Prime Vista PRO and six of it’s attachments.
“Knock Over” Achievements:
Coconut Dodge
To get this achievement, you need to start the Helter Skelter level and head off toward the stands until you find a stand containing pillars with coconuts on them (Pictured in screenshots A and B.) Simply knock all of them down, and the achievement is yours.
Bucket List
To get this one, you’ll need to start the ancient statue level, find all the buckets in the level, and spray each one with water to knock them over.
“Clean Last” Achievements:
It is worth noting that to get these types of achievements you can
partially clean the object[s] that you need to clean last, you just can’t
fully clean it until everything else is already cleaned.
Delaying The Inevitable
Tedious, but not hard. To get this one, play the washroom level and complete everything other than the toilet lids, toilet seats, and toilets first. When you’ve done that, clean the toilets, and the achievement is yours. It is worth noting that the toilet items can be sprayed with water, just not completely cleaned before everything else is.
Sole Task
To get this one, you need to play the shoe school level and clean everything but the sole last. once said everything else is clean, finish the level off by cleaning the sole to get the achievement.
Gutted
To snag this one, you’ll have to clean the gutters last on the bungalow level.
“Clean First” Achievements:
Shine Bright
To get this one, you’ll have to clean the objects that have lights first on the Helter Skelter. These objects are:
- The Sign (Pictured in screenshot C)
- The Top Ring Frame (Pictured in screenshot D)
- All 16 Channel Lights (Pictured in screenshot E)
Suspicious Modifications
To get this one, you’ll need to clean the laser and anti-gravity parts first on the private jet level (Pictured in screenshots F and G).
All Hands On Deck
To get this one, you’ll have to start the fishing boat level and then clean the bow, steps, and main deck first.
First Steps
This one is available in the second level. It is earned by cleaning the stone steps first before anything else.
Head First
To unlock this one, you need to start the drill level and clean the drill head and tip first. Simple as that.
Blast From the Past
To get this one, you will have to play the subway level and wash all the advertisements first. (Pictured in screenshots H and I).
Lantern Hunter
To get this one, you have to clean all of the lanterns first on the treehouse level. This includes all the lanterns on the house, the one on the tree. and the three on the railing posts (one is at the bottom of the spiral staircase). (All pictured in screenshots J-L). A helpful trick is to open the tablet, scroll down to what you are focusing on cleaning (in this case the lanterns) and select that object. This will make the selected object type glow white occasionally.
I Can See Clearly Now
This one should be easy. When playing the fire truck level, simply wash the windshield, (screenshot M) side mirrors, (screenshot N) and windows (screenshot O) first to unlock the achievement. Be careful not to clean the windshield wipers though.
Tyresome
Pretty simple. On the monster truck level, clean the tires first. (Pictured in screenshot P). It is important to note that this does not include the wheel inner and outers.
Pave the Way
When you start the level with the orange house and the strange symbols, immediately start cleaning the driveway, pathway, and driveway sides (pictured in screenshots Q and R) before anything else to get the achievement.
Live By The Blade
To get this one, you need to clean the helicopter blades on the helicopter level first.
Miscellaneous Achievements:
Best Buds
This one is a little bit complicated. To unlock the achievement, you need to start the ferris wheel level, walk to the top of the Helter Skelter, pick up the clown gnome, walk back down to the ferris wheel, place the gnome in one of the carts, hop in the cart with the gnome, and start the ferris wheel. (Refer to pictures S-U). After this, you will need to ride a full circle around the ferris wheel to snag the achievement. Be careful not to let the gnome fall off.
Watermelon Shot
This achievement is unlocked on the skate park level. There are two ways that I have found to work best.
1. Lie prone on the ground by pressing control two times. Equip the 15 degree nozzle, and slowly push the soccer ball (Football/FĂștbol if you aren’t in the United States) and over time you will slowly be able to push it out of the bowl. (Pictured in screenshot W).
2. Move the ball to an area somewhere in the middle of the bowl and then lie prone on the ground. Equip the 0 degree nozzle and spray the ball. The ball should roll up the wall and fly up into the air. When this happens, quickly aim towards the ball while its still over the rim and spray it. This should knock the ball out of the bowl. If it doesn’t work the first time, keep trying, and eventually you’ll get the ball out. I found that this method worked best for me. (Pictured in screenshot V).
Note: Try pressing the left mouse button. doing so will make water fire without you having to hold down the spray button.
Tall Order
This one is available in the fire station level. To earn this achievement, you have to complete the level without standing on the scaffolding. This can make cleaning the outside of the drill tower difficult, so I recommend completing career mode and then coming back to this one. You’ll probably want the Prime Vista Pro washer, most of it’s attachments, and I recommend buying the tri-tip nozzle to speed up the process. Another way to clean the tower would be to climb to the top, jump off, and wash the tower in strips from top to bottom. Although repetitive, this second method saves money and can be done with less powerful washers.
StegoScore
Well, just like the actual achievement, I’ve been avoiding this one for last. I won’t be going very in depth for this one, but if you want a full but short guide check out a guide by Zazu called StegoScore using the link right here:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2836126359 You just need to get the ball up onto the stegosaur slide on the playground and push it up to the top and down the other end. Easier said than done.
Impeccable Balance
When you get to the level with the bike that has a huge wheel, just jump on top of it and stay still for 10 seconds. Maybe spam your pressure washer to keep entertained if you have raging ADHD like I do. (Pictured in screenshot X).
Merrily Go Round
To snag this one, you’ll need to complete the carousel level without turning off the carousel. Don’t press the big red button and move past it to the inside of the carousel (pictured in screenshot Y) and clean one side of all the horses, then move to the part of the carousel with the red and white triangles (pictured in screenshot Z) and clean up the inside parts of the carousel. Move to the outside and clean it, using the ladder and scaffolding to get the hard to reach areas. Touch up anything else that isn’t clean yet, and you should be done.
Fashionista
To get this one, you’ll have to buy a new outfit, new gloves, and a washer skin, then put on each one by opening up the equipment menu and selecting all of them without closing the equipment menu.
Gnome Sweet Gnome
For this one I HIGHLY recommend coming back in free play, because if you do it in career mode, it can be a major hassle. On the temple level, you need to make sure the gnome on top of the temple is still at the top when the job is complete. But don’t think you can take the gnome down and put him back up – oh no – that won’t work. The solution is to use the soap nozzle and wood cleaner whenever you’re close to this wretched thing. If you spray the gnome at it’s feet with the soap nozzle, then it won’t fall, but if you spray its torso, good ol’ gnumpty dumpty will go tumbling down. This is why I recommend coming back in free play, with the Prime Vista PRO and its soap nozzle, because otherwise, you won’t have infinite soap and a more powerful washer.
Side Hustle
To get this one, you’ll need to go to the menu, click on career and then open bonus jobs. choose any one that you want, and complete it to get the achievement.
Going For Gold
To get this one, get a gold medal on a challenge level. I recommend completing one of the van levels (either limited water or limited time) first, as they are quick and don’t require a lot of water. You might be cutting it close on the gold medal requirement and may have to try a few times, but don’t let that set you back.
Gold Standard
To get this one, you need to get five gold medals from challenge levels. Do whichever ones you are comfortable with, but I recommend the following:
- Both work van challenges
- Both Motorbike and sidecar challenges
- Golf cart time challenge
Remember, a longer time or water usage threshold does not mean an easier level. It’s just more work and more pain if you fail to get gold.
