Peek-A-Mimic Christmas Castle: Mimic Locations

Describes where the mimic locations are in the event you get stuck. Note: These do NOT have to be completed in a specific order except for the Padlock being necessary for the Gold Bar.

First Mimic – Flagstone

It is on the ground next to the chest table.

Second Mimic – Carrot

On the table

Third Mimic – Candy Cane

Click the second stocking from the right on the fireplace mantle and the candy cane will emerge.

Fourth Mimic – Fireplace Log

This one takes two steps. First you have to pick up the burning candle from the shelf beside the bookshelf.

Second, you have to click the unlit fireplace logs. The log mimic will leap from the fireplace on fire and begin to run around the room until you click it.

NOTE: The candle will remain in your inventory, and you can light the various candles around the room.

Fifth Mimic – Padlock

This one also takes two steps. First you have to select the correct sword from the wall-hanging swords. This will then drop a key used to unlock the padlock.

This is indicated by the hint attached to the back of one of the picture frames. This is always the second sword.

After picking up the key, you can now unlock the chest and automatically select the mimic.

NOTE: This step is required for the sixth mimic.

Sixth Mimic – Gold Bar

After completing the fifth mimic and unlocking the chest, you now have access to the contents of the chest: a blue book.

Select this book to add it to your inventory. Then select the empty space on the bookshelf containing blue books.

This will insert the book into the shelf, unlocking a secret compartment containing gold bars. the top-most gold bar is a mimic.

Seventh Mimic – Russian Nesting Doll

The seventh mimic is hidden under multiple layers in one of the presents. just click down through the layers to the smallest Russian nesting doll to obtain the mimic.

Eighth Mimic – Ribbon Bow

The eighth mimic is hidden behind the Christmas tree. It is one of the ribbons on the tree.

Ninth Mimic – Train Car

This last mimic requires all three missing train track pieces in order to trigger the animation and unlock the mimic.

The first train track piece is in one of the presents on the ground:

The second train track piece is sticking out from under the tablecloth on the ground:

The last piece is on top of the bookshelf (this can be obtained both before and after the bookshelf has been moved):

After gathering the three pieces, you can select the empty spaces on the train track circling the Christmas tree and this will place the pieces down and trigger the train to begin moving. Once the last train car is visible it can be clicked to gather the final mimic.
