Looking for the best builds in PAYDAY 2? Look no further! In this guide, we’ll be focusing on the Crew Chief perkdeck, which not only benefits you, but your entire team as well. As an avid player, this is my personal favorite and I’m excited to share with you the top 5 powerful builds for this perkdeck. Let’s get started!
HOW CREWCHIEF WORKS?
<3- *0.92 less received damage for the entire team and you get 0.84 when your health is under of 50% (the last thing of that 0.84 don’t change nothing, you can support the same damage, I guess is better to Hostage taker works faster)
<3- +50% stamina for the entire team (this is not a great thing but is okay, is useful when you need to do things faster like the start of the heist “HOTLINE MIAMI” or for open maps)
<3 *0.92 less received damage when you, only you are the objetive of one or more that are at least 18 meters (not notable sometimes but is okay)
<3- *1.25 range for intimidating enemies or civilians (is okay, lmao)
<3- another *0.92 less damage but only when you have a hostage by your side
<3- +20% health for you and +10% health for rest of the team
<3- +10% armor for you and +5% armor for rest of the team
<3- +6% health and +12% stamina for all the team for each hostage that you have, that means one hostage gives +6%, another one, other 6% and continues and only stacks to a top of 4 hostages
and that’s all the things that this perk deck give to us!, but I’m going to detail every single number right down here:
The most important number or breakpoint is the damage that enemies do
all we know that heavy zeal’s damage are: 225
and light zeal’s damage are: 68
Well, with crew chief that damage is
-HEAVY ZEAL DAMAGE: 207
-LIGHT ZEAL DAMAGE: 62.56
When we have one hostage in our side that tamage is reduced
-HEAVY ZEAL DAMAGE: 190.44
-LIGHT ZEAL DAMAGE: 57.55
remember, this numbers are for the entire crew, but in this last is only for us, the second card
-HEAVY ZEAL DAMAGE: 175.20
-LIGHT ZEAL DAMAGE: 52.95
(not a high difference as we can see, so doesn’t really matter)
we know that the default health that we have is: 230
with that default buff of crew chief (20%): 230 + 20% = 276
With 1 hostage: 292.56
With 2 hostages: 310.11
With 3 hostages: 328.72
With 4 hostages: 348.44
And finally with a Joker: 453
(remember that a Joker counts as a hostage so is better to have two Jokers ;3)
well, in this case we will take 3 armors, the Two piece suit, Light Ballistic Vest, and ICTV
Two Piece Suit: 20 + 10% = 22 (duh)
LBV: 50 + 10% = 55 (when we have hostages, we can support a bullet from light zeal)
ICTV: 221 + 10% = 243.1 (probably the best armor for this perk deck but the LBV is good enought, to take advatange of the stamina and have liberty to take critical hits for our weapons)
We can take 3 hits from heavy zeals, and 2 if you want to live, and if you have ICTV you can always tank two shots to armor, of course being patient to your armor recover itself, in total having 4 heavy shots, 5 if you wanna die
EXPLAINING JOKERS AND HOSTAGES
FIRST
First things first, the Jokers are counted as Hostages, the better way to have civialins in our side to tie them (hehe) and hide their heads on a wall, is really simple, when the cops don’t see his head of a civilian, they don’t free them, why? Idk, they have the hitbox in the head so if you hide it they don’t really notice about it.
FUN FACT: Some civialins are ignored by the cops, some short examples are: the first world bank’s manager and Ralph (the keycard guy in the diamond heist of payday)
You only need 3 hostages maybe, do that work of hide heads of civialins in walls is really simple, but maybe a little hard if the police arrives so fast, if you are in multiplayer you can forgot about tie and hide civialians!, is so easy to everyone in team have one joker and that’s all, but to be sure, take only a civialian and tha’ts all… :3
CREWCHIEF’S EFFECTS ON PERK DECKS
460HP + Joker = 598
598 + 10% = 658
658+ 4 Hostages = 830.5 (enought to support a green dozer shot and a heavy zeal shot)
We are going to explain only the armor, because the health is default, 230
280.5 + Joker = 364.5
364.5 + 5% = 383 (it doesn’t change nothing, support the same two bullets from a heavy zeal)
Default, only gives dodge xd
the same but worst
This is an interesting one, we are going to see the 3 armors, Lightweight Ballistic Vest, Ballistic Vest and Heavy Ballistic Vest
LBV: + Die hard ACE and Iron man BASIC = 136.5 + Joker = 177.5 + 5% = 186.5 (not supporting two shots of a heavy zeal)
BV: + Die hard ACE and Iron man BASIC = 156 + Joker = 203 + 5% = 213 (not supporting too two shots)
HBV: + Die hard ACE and Iron Man BASIC = 175.5 + Joker = 228 + 5% = 239.5 (supporting two shots of heavy zeal)
in total, crew chief helps crook but only with HBV :3
Rogue but worse and not for team playing
that 5% of more armor doesn’t change anything in the other armors (I guess)
the same but better than infiltrator
Boost a little the health, we will see if crew chief do something
322HP + Joker = 418.5 + 10% = 460 + 4 Hostages = 581 (helping a lot to support 3 shots of a heavy zeal without dying :3)

LBV + Iron man BASIC + Die hard ACE = 321 + Joker = 417 + 10% = 459 + 4 Hostages = 579.5 (supporting 3 shots with long-term damage)
BV + Iron man BASIC + Die hard ACE = 334 + Joker = 434 + 10% = 477.5 + 4 Hostages = 603 (supporting the same 3 shots, but is better, isn’t it?)
HBV + Iron man BASIC + Die had ACE = 347 + Joker = 451 + 10% = 496 + 4 Hostages = 626 (supporting the same 3 shots, but more numbers is better, I guess)
FLAK JACKET: have the same numbers of HBV without Die hard ACE
CTV + Iron man BASIC = 373 + Joker = 485 + 10% = 533.5 + 4 Hostages = 673.5 (the same shots but with better numbers)
ICTV = 451 + Joker = 586 + 10% = 645 + 4 Hostages = 814 (good to support 4 shots of a heavy zeal with long-term damage, probably the best option to run with stoic being ICTV)
