Learn how to access the ‘Live Tuning Menu’ in Need for Speed™ Heat even if you have a 60% or TKL keyboard without a Numpad. This menu is a handy tool for customizing your ride, and this guide will show you how to open it using your keyboard.
Step-1:- Download Microsoft PowerToys
Windows Store => https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/xp89dcgq3k6vld?hl=en-us&gl=US
GitHub Page => https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/releases/tag/v0.80.1
Step-2:- Setting up the key-bind on the app
1) After installing the app. Open it and go to ‘Keyboard Manager’.
2) Then enable Keyboard manager ✔
3) Remapping the key on your keyboard.
i)Click on ‘Remap a key’ under the ‘Keys’ section. This will pop a new window.
ii) Click on ‘Add Key Remapping’.
iii) Click the ‘Select’ button and press a key on your keyboard that is going to be remapped.
(Choose a key that is not used often)
I had pressed the ‘Print Screen’ key on keyboard.
Click ‘OK’ to close this small window.
iv) Next you are going to click here and set on what the key should send.
Then you have to select ‘Numpad-6’.
v) You have to do this for 2 more times:-
bind a key to Numpad-6 (what I did just now)
bind a key to Numpad-2
bind a key to Numpad-4
After doing this. It will look like this…
Okay now the hardpart is done!
Step-3:- Open the game
And click the key where you had setup as Numpad-6.
Then click the key where you had setup as Numpad-2.
Now click the key where you had setup as Numpad-6 once again.
This will open the Live Tuning Menu.
After that to close the menu, click the key where you had setup as Numpad-4.
Note:- Dont forget to open PowerToys app everytime you play NFS Heat or you could make this app start whenever you boot up your computer.
