Introduction
For those who just play the game for the first time, here are some tips and tricks:
- The easiest way to recover health outside the dungeons are by slashing through the grass. There are a large patch of grasses north from Town.
- Activate all warp points as soon as you find them.
- Talk to everyone, screenshot every side quest hints that you find. This will make it easier later when you want to track which side quests you haven’t done.
- Same as before, but screenshot every locations that you can’t access yet. It’ll make it easier for later. Delete the ones you have done to prevent you from getting them mixed up.
- Check all hidden walls and odd places for hidden areas. Bomb the hell out of them.
- Play all pianos that you can find.
- Store your extra gold in the bank in Town. You need 10k to get one achievement.
- Inside the dungeon, going up and down ladders will reset the jars. Use it to break all jars and recover your health to the max.
- Buy Boomerang as soon as you’re able in the future. Most enemies can be stunned by it. Slash them to death. Reapply the Boomerang if you can’t finish them quickly.
- Break all jars in the dungeon. Some switches are hidden there.
- Push any odd-looking squares that you can find in dungeon. Sometimes it’s required to unlock a room.
- Pay attention to some hints given in some rooms. There will be other rooms that require these hints for you to solve.
- If you can’t clear an optional dungeon, feel free to come back to it later. It’ll be easier with an upgrade and higher level.
- For level up, prioritize health > mana > stamina. You can level up mana and stamina interchangeably, although maxing health first is a must.

You Monster.How could you..?
There is a talking tree in the same area as the Beach warp point. Once you get the Firebolt spell, burn it down.
Find the easter egg.
Go to where the building where the Lair of 100 Trials (Master Shabu Shabu) is, and head northwest. You’ll see a lone tree in front of a wall. There should be 1 walkable tile next to it. Keep going north from that tile until you enter a cave.

Go to where the building where the Lair of 100 Trials (Master Shabu Shabu) is, and head south until you find a ghost that talks about music. To the northeast will be a colored tree. Bomb the tree to reveal a hole inside.
Defeat Ellie.
Head west from the cake house in the Forest.
Defeat the Queen Bee.
Honeycomb Hive dungeon is located in the same place as where Ellie is, but in the present. I suggest leaving this dungeon until you finished the game or until you leveled up a bit since they can be a bit nasty.
Find the Power Blade.
Go 1 screen east from the Beach warp point. There should be an empty well to the south. Enter from the north side. Light up all torches for visibility, and there should be a door to the southeast. In the next room, use your Forge Shield to deflect all bullets to the 3 targets on the right. The next room will require the same, but with your Boomerang. Light up the fire with your Firebolt spell in the next room, and enjoy your sword afterwards.
Find the Power Armor.
After you obtain the Snorkel, go to Archnid Dwelling and explore the left area. Archnid Dwelling is located southwest from where the Lair of 100 Trials (Master Shabu Shabu) is. You might need to bomb the entrance to go in.
Climb the ladder.
Bomb the wall to the right in the first room in Domination Citadel (final dungeon).
Obtain the Demon Armor.
In Domination Citadel (final dungeon), obtain Left Wing Key. Use it on the third floor, in the room north from the teleporter. You can use the left teleporter (blue) from the dungeon entrance to go there faster. The Demon Armor will be on the chest at the end of the path.
Complete the Ultima quest.
You need a Magic Flute to unlock this quest. You can get the Magic Flute from finishing Musicians Cove dungeon located 1 screen to the east of Frozen Castle (ice dungeon). See The Completionist section for more info on finishing this quest.
Obtain the Rainbow Blade.
Finish Rainbow Blade quest. See The Completionist section for more info on this.
Collect all three Stat Rings.
- Magic ring: obtain Right Wing Key in Domination Citadel (final dungeon). Use it on the third floor, in the room north from the teleporter. You can use the left teleporter (blue) from the dungeon entrance to go there faster. The Magic ring will be on the chest at the end of the path.
- Endurance ring: finish Earth Elemental quest. Some earth motes are hidden beneath jars. Just break all jars and pay attention to the motes in the empty spaces.
Buy the Golden Fountain.
You need to have Ultra Coin Purse for this. This can be obtained by finishing the Boss Rush quest. Once you got the coin purse, stock up 10,000 coins and go to Palelands. In the southwest of the warp point screen there is an artist. Give him the coins.

Craft the Rune Blade.
Craft the Rune Armor.
Once you unlock the Grappling Hook, you can reach the Desert. There is a blacksmith in the area that can craft you weapons. You can get Ore by using Drill on the rocks. Drill can be obtained by the person near the golden area in the Desert.
Craft the Shotgun.
Craft the Bazooka.
Craft the Minegun
Craft the Electro Cannon.
– The Completionist
The CompletionistComplete every side quest.
I’ll list all side quests and general idea on what to do only if they are not clear enough. Most side quests are straightforward and even if they aren’t, the progression is mostly defined in the quest log. Some side quests are also chained, meaning you won’t get it until you finish another side quest.

- Dog Treat

Dog Treat can be purchased in the shop in Town. - Beer Run

Bones can be obtained from skeleton enemies outside the dungeon. - Wicken HQ
Location: [Future] Library
You need to try entering the room to the north of the library to trigger this quest. The Wicken Signet is located 1 screen south, 1 screen east from the Town’s southwest exit (exit from where the flower house is). There is a hidden path beneath the trees on the left side. - Wicken Tome
Location: [Future] Library, Wicken Hideout
Preqreuisite: Complete Wicken HQ
The tome is inside the building on the northeast corner of the Town. Bomb the entrance to go in. - Family Reunion
Location: [Future] skeleton in Forest, northwest corner
The skeleton mama is located in the Beach, inside the house in the southeasternmost part of the Beach. - Pixel Panic
Location: the small pixel 1 screen north, 1 screen east from Town’s northwest exit
The son is located 1 screen south from the Graveyard warp point in the future. - Galaxus Statue
Location: [Future] the Color Wheel minigame 2 screens east from Graveyard warp point
Prerequisite: Win the grand prize (purple)
Give the prize to the gamer inside the 2 houses that are next to each other in Town; enter the house to the right to meet them. - Arachnophobia
Location: [Future] 1 screen south, 2 screens east from the campfire, inside the house
Finish Arachnid Dwelling. It’s located southwest from where the Lair of 100 Trials (Master Shabu Shabu) is. - Interested in Ichor
Location: guy with mask in Town, near the church
Prerequisite: Complete Arachnophobia
The Sky Orb can be placed in the pedestal 1 screen south of Temple of Gods (wind dungeon). - Fire Elemental

Just remember that you can pick up the motes with Boomerang. Break all jars and check all places. It shouldn’t be hard to find them all. - Ghost Band
Location: Musicians Cove (1 screen east of Frozen Castle / ice dungeon)
You need to talk to the ghost inside the cove to get the quest. In order to unlock the room (and finish the dungeon), you need to know how to read music sheets. From the left to the right is a piano key. There is a music sheet in the bottom. For those who are blind with this, just number the keys from left to right. Then see the lowest note in the music sheet. The lowest note is the first key, while the highest note is the last key. - Lover’s Locket
Location: [Future] Bar in Town
The locket is in the Underground Catacombs. It’s located 2 screens east from Graveyard warp point. Requires Magic Flute to access the dungeon. - Final Flower
Location: [Future] Flower house in Town (southwest corner)
The flower is in the Desert. Bomb the cave located west of the Desert warp point. Requires Grappling Hook to access the Desert area. - Melas Sunstone
Location: [Future] one of the caves in the Desert
To be honest, I don’t remember which cave has the sunstone. It should be in one of the caves 1 screen west of the Desert warp point. Give it to the guy 1 screen east from the blacksmith. - Do You Wanna?
Location: [Future] snowman 1 screen south, 1 screen east of Castle warp point
Snowball is a drop from enemies in ice areas (including Frozen Castle / ice dungeon). - Water Elemental
Location: [Future] bombable wall in front of Frozen Castle (ice dungeon) entrance. - Hammer of the Forge

Finish Abandoned Forge dungeon, located in the bombable cave west of the mountain entrance (which was where the Forge of Power dungeon was located). - Solid Gold Fish

Head all the way south from where the quest giver is to find a dungeon with the fish. Requires Snorkel. - Help Your Dog

Water can be obtained 1 screen west, 1 screen south from Castle warp point. Use Grappling Hook to get to the other side and head inside the hole below the christmas tree.
Milk can be obtained in the Farm 1 screen east from the Town. There is a hole in the 3×3 grass to the northeast of the farm building You might have to use bomb to get in. Use Magic Flue to the cow to get Milk. - Heal Your Dog

Location: [Future] south of Earthen Cave (earth dungeon) entrance. There is an earth mark with roots in it. Bomb that circle. - Wind Elemental

Once you learn Electricity, talk to the guy in the second floor. Head downstairs and use the key you just got to unlock the door. Finish the dungeon. - Aether Elemental

- The hidden area with cat in Abandoned Castle (second dungeon)
- Inn
- High in the Sky Cafe in Hev’yn (sky island)
- [Future] 1 screen east from Graveyard warp point. Head inside the grave that requires key to be unlocked. You can obtain the key after you finish the game by talking to the girl 2 screens north of the Graveyard warp point.
- Palelands, mayor house’s locked door. Finish Palelands Citizen quest to access.
