Are you looking to achieve 100% in Like a Dragon and make Ichiban proud? Look no further! This gaming guide will show you how to obtain infinite wealth and reach 100% completion in Like a Dragon. Get ready to level up your gameplay and become the ultimate dragon. Let’s get started!
Introduction
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a pretty straightforward game when it comes to achievements, but that didn’t stop me from wanting to create a simple guide for it, just in case anyone’s curious which achievements are included in the base game, which are DLC only, if there’s anything you can miss etc.
LAD:IW has 74 achievements, and 9 out of them are locked behind the Master Vacation Bundle (thank you Sega very cool). You don’t have to worry about missing any of them while doing story, ’cause once again, there’s Premium Adventure.
No major spoiler related to the story in the guide BUT I didn’t hide the images or the names of the achievements behind the spoiler tag (I can’t figure the formatting out to make them look alright rip). I’ll also assume you’re aware you have two protagonists, who they are, and who joins their teams. Anyways, let’s get into it.
Story Achievements
- Back in Action
- Fish Out of Water
- Time Marches On
- Down and Out
- Misgivings
- Hiding in Plain Sight
- Separate Ways
- Layered Lies
- Found and Lost
- Dying Breed
- Reunion
- Holding the Line
Completed Chapter 12.
- Turning the Tides
- The Man Who Regained His Name
Substories
- Touching Lives
- Saving Lives
- Living Your Best Life
Drink Links
Each character has 5 such events. Once you finish the 5th event you’ll get the achievement.
- No Regrets
- Rest Assured
- Breaking Free
- Squared Away
- Missing Words
- Commanding Respect
- Letting Go
- Starting Fresh
Gameplay
- Wandering Dragon
- Resolute Dragon
- Apex Dragon
- Legendary Dragon
You should be able to get the first three achievements as you play through the game with no issues, especially if you do the dungeons accordingly. For the last achievement, however, you need to grind more. If you got the DLC and played through it you’ll get it, as it gives you lots of experience.
- Side Hustle
- Mad Hustle
- Ultimate Hustle
You’ll get these three achievements as you go through the story, ’cause you’ve got plenty of teammates with different jobs, so don’t worry about grinding.
- Superhuman
- Metahuman
Almost everything you do unlocks personality points, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You’ll probably max out one of them just by doing random things and you won’t even realize it. If not, you can take exams for points. There are also items that can help.
- Pound for Pound
You unlock poundmates either through substories, memories or by progressing through the main story. They’re pretty fun and can save your life when you’re in a tough spot. Or you can forget they exist and spam them at the end for the achievement lol.
- Something from Nothing
- Investing in the Future
Putting these two achievements here ’cause they deal with weapons and what not. For the investment, it goes up to $200.000 for the last rank, so make sure you’ve got money to spare. The better the gear, the more expensive it is.
Dungeons
- Ruffians Beware
- Dungeon Sweeper
The achievements are unlocked once you complete the last floor.
Side Content
- Having Fun Yet?
- 30 Mins or It’s Free
You unlock Crazy Delivery courses after Substory 3: Crazy Money. There are four courses you need to complete to get the achievement: easy, normal, hard and crazy.
- Spirit of Aloha
You unlock the Aloha Links app after Substory 5: Welcome To Hawaii, MFer! Just say hi to people and they’ll become your friends. Idk why this mechanic gives me so much serotonine, I need to go out more. Some people befriend you only if you give them stuff though.
- Alo-Happy as Can Be
You unlock activities after Substory 31: Let’s Get Alo-Happy in chapter 5. Some activities are more expensive than others, so you’ll most likely return when you’re richer for those.
- Photo Hunter
You unlock the Photo Rally after Substory 32: Tropical Photo Rally. As you walk around the map, you’ll see green signs that allow you to take photographs of random things. Just do that, and once you take 30 photos, the achievement will unlock. You can use the clues, too.
- License to Skill
You unlock the school after Substory 21: Playing With Fire (west of Honolulu). Exams can be expensive, but they also give you personality points.
- Sicko Stopper
You unlock the Sico Snap courses after Substory 8: Snap Those Sickos! There are three courses, an easy one, an intermediate one and a hard one.
- Don’t Hate the Player
You unlock the Miss Match app after Substory 7: Miss Match (West Waikiki). Just play with the profile options, remember them, and pick the more fitting answers during chatting. If you manage to meet up with 5 people (debatable) you’ll get the achievement.
Sujimons
- Sujimon Snag ‘Em
- Break It Up!
- Sujimaniac
- Sujimon Sensei
- Prize Fighter
You can give Sujimons items from Suji stops to level them up or sparr. As for friendship, letting them fight for you will help you bond with them. You can also level them up at the farm on Dondoko Island, but it might take you some time to get there.
- Suji League Champion
Dondoko Island
- Basking in Glory
This one shouldn’t be a problem, as long as you level up Ichi’s crafting (?) level, so he can build things that give you more points. I’m a sucker for aesthetics, so I spent a lot of time trying to make the island look good, but you can also slap a bunch of high level buildings on the map and call it a day to get those 4 stars. It really depends on you.
- Dondoko Denouement
- Craftaholic
- Island Hospitality
This achievement will probably require the most amount of time because you can invite a maximum of 5 guests at a time, and they spend three days on the island. Time flies though, and I didn’t even notice when I got to 100 because I was enjoying it so much.
- Dondoko A-Go-Go!
You’ll unlock the possibility to run a commercial as you progress through the story.
Kiryu Only
- Precious Memories
- Abundant Memories
There are 90 Memoirs of a Dragon in total, so you don’t actually need to collect them all to unlock the achievements, but still, why wouldn’t you? Some are pretty short, Kiryu just mumbles to himself a few things, while others are longer and you get to meet some people from his past.
- Renewed Purpose
There are 8 Life Links in total. Date will reach out to you every time you can complete a life link; some are locked behind story progress, others behind better stats.
- Funk Goes On
As the description says, you only need to push one to the max for the achievement to pop up, and you can do that by completing hero tasks, bonding with people, collecting memories etc.
Misc
- Not a Total Waste
Check out the toilet bowl on the first floor of Revolve.
- Somewhere Over the Rainbow
I’m not sure if there’s a way to trigger rain. The way I got it: I was hanging around Little Japan, it started raining so I took a taxi to the beach where it was sunny. There it started raining too after a few minutes, but it might have just been luck. After that I looked at the water and there was a rainbow, so I snapped a picture. (a selfie too, just to show off).
My best advice is just hanging around the beach after you unlock the recycling thing near Aloha Cafe, so you can actually get rewarded for gathering the materials you find (you can obtain shark fins and squid tentacles which are rare and very useful when crafting weapons!). You can just swim around and when it starts raining just rush back. It’s pretty relaxing.
If anyone has a better alternative I’ll write it down, but until now it’s pretty RNG. Don’t give up!
The Big Swell
- Building Bonds and Making Gains
- Titillating Teamwork
- Kei is for Kinship
- Unboxed Brotherhood
- We Did It?
Post-Game
- The Hero Returns
Simply start a New Game+ and progress until Ichi unlocks the hero job.
- Endless Vacation
This achievement will unlock once completing a NewGame+, no matter the difficulty.
- We’re Probably the Best!
- We’re Definitely the Best!
I recommend doing a legend playthrough if you want to save time, ’cause you get much more experience when defeating enemies. Then, you can switch difficulty before the last fight, and can get the other achievement as well.
I am the worst person to talk about strategy in turn based games, but you’ve made it so far!
You’re going to want to be smarter than I was and actually prepare if you want to do a legend playthrough right away (my Ichi was lvl 70 so I let him chug 5 level boosters so he can be 75, the recommended level, without taking into consideration the rest of the team being 5 levels behind lol). It’s not impossible to win like that, it’s just more frustrating. Make sure you finish the Dondoko storyline so you can unlock an ability that will make Ichiban’s life much easier.
Level up your team, get good weapons (get them NOW otherwise you’re gonna waste time in legend mode where the fights are much more difficult. Some weapons that can be upgraded to powerful ones are obtainable by defeating certain crowned enemies so do that). You should also quickly go through the bonds, so the teammates can be even more helpful. The first time they join your team their weapons will be the basic ones, make sure to change them as soon as you can. Otherwise they’ll be kind of useless.
All your poundmates will be there, so you don’t have to worry about that.
Everything went smoothly for me, a few game over screens here and there when I overestimated my guarding skills. That changed when I reached chapter 12 and actually had to grind for a few extra levels because my teammates kept dying a few rounds in. And then it happened again during the second part of the last chapter. I recommend being level 90 for that, ’cause it really makes a difference. Just grind some levels in the dungeon and you should be fine.
Thank you
- Infinite Wealth
You don’t actually have to obtain all achievements in the game, I got it after completing the Big Swell and my Ichi reached level 70. That’s why my guess is the achievements related to replaying the game don’t count towards this one. Thank you for making it this far 🙂
